Email and sim problems, loosing confidence in my Z10.

Hi, Can anybody assist With some theory behind some issue that a few people seem to be having but I am yet to fins a solution for either.
1 Email continually asking for password to reactivate.
I have several email accounts routing into my Z10 but my main one ( a Gmail account ) keeps dropping and re asking for password.  
I can't get my head around if this is a Rim or Google issue, but I have other gmail accounts coming in to my phone but only one is effected, this is the account I synch my contacts and calendar to as well.
2 Sim card keeps dropping out.
With out realising until some one contacts me another way saying they have been trying to call I look At my phone to find a connection error - sim card error mm#3.
Again I have seen many people suffering this same issue but no fix.  
Is this a sim card issue or a Rim issue.
At the moment as I am very reliant on my phone, I think should I just cut my loses and buy a different phone?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

KB34651 Gmail account on the BlackBerry 10 smartphone becomes invalid intermittently with the error "Your login information for IMAP server [imap.gmail.com] has changed or is incorrect. Please check your account settings."
It is also known to happen with some older OS levels, corrected in newer versions. But, you've not said at all what your OS level is, so there is no way to determine if this is causal or not for you.

Yup...also reported a lot. So far, I'm not sure if there is any root cause known...but replacement of the SIM card has been one method folks have used to resolve this issue.

    Hey Everyone,
    Just finished loading up the first cut of my site at http://web.mac.com/wakestuff and i have a few problems with my email and links page.
    In iWeb, the email and links are fine and they're there - in the page online, they're just question marks in a blue square. . . . any ideas why??

    Take a look at your pages names. Example:
    http://web.mac.com/wakestuff/iWeb/WakeStuff.co.uk/%20%20Email%20%26%20Links.html
    %20 stands for a space.
    Your page name has several spaces at the beginning, which is screwing up the links to the images in the corresponding folder. To be honest, I am surprised that page is the only one you are having difficulty with.

  • EMail and SMS problem

    hi 
    I just got a Blackberry Pearl. I configured it to receive my email. Now there is an email icon and all the email goes there. BUT it also started going into the folder that was the repository for SMS text messages. So someone told me to go into general options, select SMS and Email inboxes and choose Separate.  I did that but wiht the net result that the SMS folder now shows only my email and the Email folder also shows my email.
    The only way to get to my SMS inbox is to select the menu options, select View FOlder, then select SMS Inbox which is a little cumbersome.
    How do i fix that so my emails go to my email folder and the SMSes go to my SMS folder?
    ALso is there a way to prevent the Blackberry from notifying my every time i get a new email. I am fine with being notified when I get a new SMS?

    To create seperate folders for email and sms, yes you open any of you message folders and hit the menu key, select options then general options, scroll down to sms and email inboxes, change that to seperate. then hit the back key and select save. You should now have a sms icon for text, an icon for each email and an icon for messages that will catch everything. If you do not have these icons try a battery pull. Remove the battery with the phone on and leave it out for 30 seconds. Replace it and allow the phone 1-3 minutes to reboot. Can you now find all the icons?

  • IPad 1 email and performance problems ios5

    Since I upgraded my iPad 1(wifi only) to iOS 5' I have been having numerous performance problems, and my email continuously sys "checking Email". I have tried restarting my iPod ith no luck. Deleting d reading the accounts woks briefly, but after 15-20 minutes the email problem ones back. The update has relly crippled my iPad.
    Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas to resolve it?

    While Downgrading is not actually supported by Apple I found a video on You Type that walked me through it. Just do a search on You tube and you will find it. The one I used was by lizards821. His videos cover any errors you might have.
    Once I reverted, I then did a restore from the backup I made when upgrading to IOS 5 and all of my apps were restored while keeping my downgraded IOS.
    Good Luck, it was well worth it for me. I have the stable IPAD I love so much back again.

  • Image files email and upload problem

    Emails I send through mail are arriving very compressed. However when I try to upload them onto my webspace they are expanding.
    For example a jpeg 600 x 600px, at a resolution of 72ppi and a file size of 308kb:
    When emailed through Mail it arrives as 240 x 240px, at a resolution of 72pp and a file size of 92kb
    When emailed through my webmail (Virgin) it arrives at the original dimensions and file size
    When uploaded to my webspace using Cyberduck it expands from 308kb to 4GB and an estimated upload time of 18 hours!
    The larger the original file size, the worse the email problem, but the upload remains at around 4GB.
    I suspect that somehow the file is being compressed on arrival because it has expanded as it is being emailed or uploaded.
    My webspace provider says it isn't a problem their end. As things are ok through my Virgin webmail I don't think it can be them - though they are the usual suspects.

    When you email an image in Mail, set the Image Size pop-up in the lower right-hand corner of the window to "Actual Size".

  • Email and WiFi problems with IPad1

    Yesterday, I sent out an email on my pc laptop to a group and received 5 bounce backs. When I went to my IPad to check my email account, only one bounce back appeared and after about 5 seconds, it kicked me out of email.
    Today, it kicks me out after 1 second. In addition, I am no longer connected to my WiFi and the IPad cannot find a network to connect to - it's stuck in 'Choose a Network' mode.  Meanwhile, my pc laptop is connected to my network and there are no problems with my WiFi.
    I'm not sure where to start...

    Try closing the Mail app completely and the see if it works when you re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Mail 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
    A second option is to try turning the account off and on : Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars , then tap the account on the right, slide Mail to 'off', exit settings and go back into the Mail app, and then go back to Settings and slide Mail back to 'on'
    If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Email and password Problem

    Last week I forgot my password so followed the link to set up a new one and BB said it would email me a link so I can change it.  i am still waiting for that email.  Today I tried again and BB said it would send me a link to my email address.  I am still waiting. I know my email address is correct on my BB 8520 because I have been receiving emails from people.  How long does it take for BB to send emails?  It also asks me for my password on myPlaybook.  If any one replies please keep it simple as I am not a computer person.

    Again, the email will not come to your BB. If you set up your BB ID as one that used an email address that you can only access via your BB, then you indeed have a problem and should contact your mobile network provider for formal support...only they can escalate you into RIM to actually reset your BB ID.

  • Email and Internet problem

    Hi All,
    I purchased my BlackBerry Curve 8250 from Virgin yesterday. When I bought the phone I was told that I would need to register the phone in order to use the internet, but am unsure how to do this? I have managed to set up the phone so I am currently using my home's Wifi but want to be able to use all of the functions when out and about.
    Also, when I have tried to add an email address I only have the option of setting up an enterprise one- I'm sure this is probably a simple problem but as I'm not very technologically minded I need help!

    All of this has to do with the original registration...for which you need to contact Virgin for assistance as it is their system onto which you need to register.

  • 8820 email and battery problems.

    Hello All,
    I have had an 8820 since the day it was released with no problems at all.  Truly the phone had been a life saver until I was forced to change my password on my yahoo account where all of my email addresses filter to.  I called tech support to reset up, they were great, luckily I received emails for a few days and now for about a week nothing but I am still able to send emails out.  With business so slow I had no idea of the problem for a few days.
    During these five or so days my battery has been a little squirrelly so I have ordered a new one and I also had the hourglass problem every five or so seconds which taking the battery out for about an hour fixed, but still no emails.
    Also in hindsight prior to this problem my phone always seemed to be searching for a connection.
    Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!

    I don't quite understand your email deleting question. Is that on native email or through Bridge?
    For the battery, I suggest you might download an app like Battery Guru, which can analyze your battery use, although it won't point out apps running in the background, you would see those apps as minimized apps on the screen.

  • Mail:  10.9.1 hasn't fixed group email and attachments problems

    Hi all.
    I was under the impression these were fixed by 10.9.1. but not for me.
    Group email: trying to add a group to the BCC line email freezes Mail. I have to do this several times a day. I have several Contacts groups and Mail hangs whichever one I try to mail.
    Attachments: every attempt to send mail with an attachment is rejected. I get the 'try again/choose another server' window after several minutes. Trying again is always successful, immediately. This has only happened since Mavericks and no settings have changed at the server end.

  • N95 and Sim Problem

    Hi I have a problem with my Nokia N95 phone, whenever the battery runs down or i switch it off, once ive turned it back on it always says sim card registration failed, (i have a T Mobile sim) and i have to take out the sim and re-insert it. Does anyone know why?? and is there a way to stop it?? many thanx Dee

    Same here about a year ago. Vodafone did not charge for the sim card because it was faulty.
    Actually, they gave me 2 sim cards. I still have a spare one somewhere. All I have to do the next time I want to change a sim is to use the spare and ring in with the serial number of the new card.

    No need to fret. We'll have you turned into a happy camper with a properly functioning device in no time. First of all, as advised by a fellow poster, it does sound like your e-mail server setting may be off (that would explain why you can receive but not send). To remedy this, pending what kind of e-mail account we're working with, it can be easily fixed by removing the account and re-adding. So, go to settings > mail, contacts, & calendars > click the account > delete the account. You'll re-add by going to "add account" in the same settings. Next, regarding Wi-Fi, this is sometimes a result of your Wi-Fi rather than the phone itself. For starters, let's go to settings > click on your network > forget your network > then re-add. Let us know how this goes.

    When I click on mail and communities, all my phone does is say "Opening" and itll stay on that screen. It doesn't give me a connection error notice or anything else, just stays on the "opening" screen. I have tried everything and nothing seems to work. Can anyone help, please?

    Hello,
    I hope someone can help me with an ongoing problem. To begin with, a huge number of Emails had been moved into my Spam folder, and almost all of these messages were from Companies/people that I have been dealing with for some time. In addition, my own Email address has been added to the list of messages that are never delivered to my inbox and I cannot remove my details from this list. I have manged to get most of my messages back in the inbox by again marking them as "not spam". As I don't know the reason for this problem, I am concerned it will happen again and I still can't send myself an Email.
    I contacted the BT Tech support team in India about this and the problems became even worse. My questions were ignored in three separate Emails and I subsequently had connection problems. I was advised to do a number of things (including purchase new hub, upgrade browser and delete several things) - I'd already run a few simple diagnostics but the advisors made me do the same things several times. Having spent hours on the phone with various advisors, I found that there was a problem with the BT Broadband service, not my PC or hub. I finally managed to speak with a supervisor who promised me that he would telephone on a particular day and time and solve my Email and connection problems. I stayed in all day waiting for his call and it never came.
    I have previously had problems with my BT Broadband which were not solved by speaking with the Indian call centre. At that time and after many hours and a great deal of frustration at being asked to perform the same tasks over again, I was finally put through to a UK call centre. They solved my problem quickly and efficiently. The number I was given for the UK call centre now cannot be accessed unless you have a valid pin number, however. I was given a piin the when I previously spoke with BT UK, but this has now expired. In the absence of a valid pin, the recorded message said that I should ring the number which goes directly to the Indian call centre again. 
    Does anyone please know how I can contact the UK tech support call centre directly for help? I am really desperate and honestly can't waste any more time on the line to the Indian call centre when they appear to be incapable of helping me or even contacting me when they have promised.

    It sounds like you are unable to make any calls, but you can recieve them, and everything else seems to work fine. I recommend you use the troubleshooting in the following article to help you get that resolved, named:
    iPhone: Troubleshooting issues making or receiving calls
    Follow the steps below to resolve this issue. Please test after each step.
    Toggle airplane mode: Tap Settings > Enable Airplane Mode, wait five seconds, then turn off airplane mode.
    Check your phone settings:
    Check your Do Not Disturb settings: Tap Settings > Do Not Disturb.
    Check for any blocked phone numbers: Tap Settings > Phone > Blocked.
    See if Call Forwarding is turned on: Tap Settings > Phone > Call Forwarding.
    Ensure that your software is up to date:
    Check for a carrier settings update.
    Check for an iOS software update. 
    Note: Some updates may require a Wi-Fi connection.
    If the iPhone has a SIM card, reseat the SIM card.
    If the iPhone 4 or iPhone 4s is on the Verizon network, dial *228 from the iPhone and select option 2 to update the Preferred Roaming List (PRL). The PRL determines the cellular towers the phone uses for cellular service, selecting those with the best signal strength.
    Reset the network settings: Tap  Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
    Try to make or receive calls in another location.
    Attempt to isolate to one network band:
    If you're having the issue on LTE, disable LTE, if possible, and try again.
    If you're having the issue on 3G/4G, disable 3G/4G, if possible, and try again.
    Contact the carrier to check the following:
    Your account is properly configured to use the specific iPhone that has the issue.
    There are no localized service outages.
    Your account doesn't have a billing-related block.
    Your calls don't have errors on the carrier system.
    Restore the phone as new.
    If the above steps don't resolve the issue, go to an Apple Retail Store, carrier, Apple Authorized Reseller, or contact AppleCare to send the phone in for service.
