Email Attachment Cut off

I'm posting this in the Access Forum, but it may be an Outlook issue, I'm not sure.
When running a report in Access it will display correctly in Access, but when emailed in PDF the right side of the report appears to be cut off. On some computers we removed the printers and reinstalled the printers and that fixed the issue. However we have
a few people who work at home and due to sensitive information they are not allowed to print. All printer services are restricted so I don't have the option of using that method to correct it for them. Now I need to understand exactly why this is happening
so we can address the source of the problem instead of using a workaround. Does anyone know why this happens and what needs to be fixed in order to resolve the issue?
Thanks

This may be due to a computer having no printers installed. That is a bad idea because reports may use a printer driver to get some metrics. In lieu of that Windows has to guess, and it may be guessing wrong. Also keep in mind that emailing a report as a
pdf attachment may involve "printing" to a pdf file, then attaching that file.
So the information is SO sensitive it cannot be printed but it can be previewed (and a screenshot can be taken) and it can be sent as an attachment. Interesting security model.

  • Email attachments - cutting off the text

    When I send an attachment with an email - it cuts off any text below the attached document. Any idea why and how to solve?, When I send an attachment with an email - it cuts off any text below the attached document. Any idea why and how to solve?

    YES!! THANKS VERY MUCH! And now there must must must be a way to alter incoming eMail text and then save that without forwarding or whatever.
    By the way - I have found my Mail INBOX for my POP and also for my MobileMe accounts (as well as the other mailboxes). In my Library/Mail folder. OK so my INBOX for my POP is 800mb in size. Let's imagine that I have 8000 messages and 200 of them have attachments that are 1 to 10mb in size. If I now select all the messages in the INBOX and delete the attachments, will I see that INBOX drop substantially in size? And those attachments are "glued" to each eMail, right? I can't see them other than opening each eMail and then if I want to save the attachment(s) somewhere, doing that manually, right?
    Is there a way to have all attachments automatically saved in another folder? But then they likely are not linked to an eMail - so if I then delete the attachment that is linked to the eMail, the attachment I saved to another folder is there OK- but it is no longer associated with the eMail, so I might not know to what it is related at some future time.
    There were some nice advantages to Eudora-- you could quickly scan your attachments in coverflow or other mode--
    Mail's way has some advantages in that you always have the attachment linked AND you can save another copy easily.
    Likely best to archive each 31 Dec and then have INBOX-2009-21-31 and next year INBOX-2010-12-31 -- I did that with Eudora and have every message received and sent (most with attachments - but that's a bit tricky) - since 5 March 1996. Handy that.
    OK I'm rambling a bit but let me know if I have it right here.
    And thanks!

  • Emails being cut off

    hi,

  • This is a problem. The new layout for apple mail in iCloud shows the body of a mail or any attachments on the right half of the screen. But it won't print just the attachment, it prints the whole email page, cutting off the bottom of the attachment.

    Even if I try to 'screen shot' just the attachment, the view won't move down as I enlarge the 'screen shot' to get all of the attachment. Previously, I could "SAVE" the attachment and only the attachment would be saved. Now the whole email page including the address info from the top is saved, so when I try to print what should be an 8.5x11 attachment the bottom of it won't print because the top 2" include the email address info.
    Suggestions?

    That's one of the weird things.. it recognizes it maybe 10% of the time. And usually, only after I do the two-button reset. Problem is.. since it won't charge above 2%, anytime I try to do a restore or anything like that using iTunes, my device shuts off and I lose whatever progress I'd made.
    So, an update... after reading through a bunch of similar complaints (there are literally 1000's of them so there's NO WAY this isn't somehow ios7 related, thanks a lot APPLE ) I decided to try a restore in recovery mode. After 3 hours and several disconnections... I ended up having to just set it up as a new iPad, as the restore did nothing. Weirdly though... as I was doing the restore in recovery mode.. I noticed I'd gotten up to a 10% charge.. higher than it's been since September, so after setting it up as a new device, I turned it off and plugged it in using the wall charger. 2 hours later and I was up to 38%. Still not great, as my iPad, before ios7 could've fully charged twice in the amount of time it took for me to now get 28% more of a charge. And that's with a fully cleaned out device.. so that really ***** and I'm now more confused than ever.
    But I'm gonna leave it overnight charging and see what I come up with tomorrow. Sadly, when I paid $600 for it in February, I never expected to have to play "wait and see" with it...

  • My emails are cut off at right margin so I can't view whole message.

    Some of my emails are unreadable because the right margin is off and part of the message is cut. I sent a message to rock.com regarding this and they said it was due to browser
    settings or display settings are set an a resolution that does not
    display sites properly. I don't know how to adjust and need help.

    Well, shut my mouth!  There was a similar question over to the right about a 6th generation nano repeating over and over again -- I read the answer to that one, followed the instructions, and holy crap, it's back to normal.
    Is there a name for this when you end up replying to your own aggravating question?  That's what I did.  Now I can go out and listen.  It's only 91 degrees.  Heaven. Thanks, Apple.

  • Email - Lag,cutting off,images won't show up within email!

    A short while ago,I lost images in my email.Tried a restore,no luck.Deleted/re-entered information,still no luck.Haven't exactly been able to get to the Apple store.I let that go for now.Yesterday,my email started to lag badly.It was maybe 10 seconds between hitting Send and the email actually sending.Now I can't reply to email threads I've had going.The app crashes on me and then I can't mark the email unread without it changing it back to read.I can send out new emails,just seemingly unable to reply without crashing.It's started crashing when I hit Send on replies too.It's an AOL account I've had for a while and nothing like this has happened before.
    I have cleared my Safari history,closed pages in hopes to solve the lag too as well as force closing the app to no avail.

    You said you tried a restore. Have you tried a reset? Press and hold the home and sleep/wake buttons down until the Apple logo appears.

  • Shared link cut off, Safari to email

    I was trying to email/share a link/address from Safari. The pasted link/address into email is cut off because the address is too long. I tried several pages, it seems there is a limit to how long the link/address can be. I was emailing incomplete address to my friends. Is there a setting or fix for this problem?

    not sure what it is. I tried several times, the same same is happening.
    I found another example.. I think it cuts off at the "&"

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Description=8GB +SDHC
    cut off
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE
    Since you dont have this issue it must be my phone...
    I sync my phone to window XP that has some chinese setting, and the songs on the phone has chinese names, I wonder if this has anything to do with cutting off at "&"

  • Outlook 2003 Suddenly cutting off email text after send

    Hi everyone,
    Some of my Windows 7 Users are experiencing a new issue with Outlook 2003 on their Windows 7 Pro computers.  All systems affected are 64-bit.  Most of our users are on Office 2003 and utilize Outlook with an in-house Exchange Server.
    Just recently, in the last week or so, a few users have complained that after sending an email, a large portion of their message gets cut off.  I've seen examples where emails are cut off mid-sentence.  I suspect that a Windows 7 update maybe the
    cause here, but I haven't been able to figure it out as of yet.
    Does anyone know of any recent issues with any updates that might cause this?  I suspect that it may have something to do with the IE 11 release and that some of our machines are updating to this version (which Outlook uses of course) and this maybe
    the cause.  This is the path I am using to troubleshoot, but wanted to see if anyone else with old software had experienced these issues?
    Thanks!

    32/64 OS Windows 7 with Outlook (office) standard edition 2003 - email set as HTML format and Word OFF as editor ++ IE 11 causes the issue here - cuts off the text AFTER the save on sending.
    Reverting users affected to IE 10 seems to have fixed the issue here and using GP to lock out any options in IE to allow users to upgrade it and stopping any WSUS \ SCCM updates for IE 11 security to prevent it coming back down.
    I guess we are all to blame as much as M$ - Outlook 2003 is over 10 years old and IE integration with HTML editor in Outlook was what we did in 2003 days - if we upgrade IE then its not a great surprise to find something breaks that relies on it.
    I would be curious to know if this issue is affecting any of our Outlook 2013 \ 2010 friends with HTML formatting and using IE11 on Win 7 or 8.
    I have licenses for our users to roll up from 2003 but its such a monster job I have hidden from it for..well 10 years due to training, macro and style manamgement issues and the shear pain I know will come out from users saying, "wehere my wee icon for
    ..." . BUT '03 is nearly end of life folks and although new does not = nirvana ((in fact I can't wait to find the many pains of 2013 Word and Outlook)) I suspect M$ will not be in a huge hurry to write a fix for a product that they are canning for support
    soon - so I guess we either roll down to IE10 or roll up to 2013 Outlook.

  • When Reading Email from Ipad, Hyperlink got cut off, How to fix it?

    When I read the email from Outlook, the hyperlink works. when reading from Ipad, portion of the hyperlink in email got cut off. How do we fix it?

    Close out of the mail app, then double tap the home button and completely close out of the app.
    Then do a reset, no data loss.  Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.
    Then check your email again.

  • Hp printer cuts off right side of paper

    Hello,
    I am new to this but I have a problem that needs to be answered pretty quickly please, when I try to print out an email the right side of the email gets cut off, I checked the printer setting and even the preferences but everything is alright, nothing wrong there, but every time I print I happens. Also when I go to print out a picture the picture turns out yellow, please I tried everything I could think of.
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    Hi - Can you provide the model of printer you're using?  That will help determine what steps to take to troubleshoot.  Typically though, when the print out is being clipped or cut off, it has to do with a paper size mismatch between the printer driver software and the settings in the software you're using (i.e. MS Word).  Make sure that the paper size settings in the sw (typically under page setup) match those of the printer (typically under printer setup).
    As for the color issue, the first step will be to run a self test page on the printer to determine whether it is an issue with the ink cartridges.  How to run the test page from the printer is dependant on the printer model.
    Hope that helps.

    Hi,
    I managed to make it work, I changed the attach_base64 as per your recommendations but made my own slight change :-
    PROCEDURE attach_base64_fromfile
    (conn IN OUT NOCOPY utl_smtp.connection,
                        filename IN VARCHAR2,
    floc IN VARCHAR2,
                   mime_type IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT 'application/octet',

                        last IN BOOLEAN DEFAULT FALSE) IS
    i PLS_INTEGER;
    len PLS_INTEGER;
    fh Utl_File.File_Type;
    buf raw(32767);
    BEGIN
    begin_attachment(conn, mime_type, inline, filename, 'base64');
    fh := Utl_File.Fopen (
    location => floc,

    open_mode => 'r');
    BEGIN
    Utl_File.Get_Raw (

    buffer => buf);

    len := utl_raw.LENGTH(buf);
    WHILE (i < len) LOOP
    IF (i + MAX_BASE64_LINE_WIDTH < len) THEN
    utl_smtp.write_raw_data(conn, utl_encode.base64_encode(buf));
    utl_smtp.write_data(conn, utl_tcp.CRLF);
    END IF;
    i := i + MAX_BASE64_LINE_WIDTH;
    END LOOP;
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN no_data_found THEN NULL;
    END;
    Utl_File.Fclose ( file => fh );
    end_attachment(conn, LAST);
    END;
    and created another procedure to call send_mail.attach_base64_fromfile :-
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE send_email_attachment IS
    conn utl_smtp.connection;
    BEGIN
    conn := Send_Mail.begin_mail(
    sender => '[email protected]', -- sender email address

    subject => 'Attachment Test',
    mime_type => Send_Mail.MULTIPART_MIME_TYPE);
    send_mail_vv.attach_base64_fromfile(
    conn => conn,
    filename => 'test.pdf', -- file name

    mime_type => 'application/octet',
    inline => TRUE);
    Send_Mail.end_attachment( conn => conn );
    Send_Mail.end_mail( conn => conn );
    END;
    Thanks for all your help.

    Every time my lg g pad 8.3 lte tablet is turned off it reverts the saving email attachment back to internal storage.  Every time I turn on, I change it back to save to SD card.  It stays that way until it is turned off for more than a minute.  If I do a restart, it holds the setting, but loses it when it is shut down for any period of time.  Does anyone else have this issue?  The setting holds for photos taken with camera storing to SD card.  Only the email attachment setting does not hold.

    I believe that system has a hall sensor on it to detect when the lid is closed so it can put the system to sleep and/or disable the monitor so it can be used with an external monitor only. If the sensor is marginal or has a bad cable, it may intermittently cut the monitor on and off, and may likewise put the system to sleep. One way to check would be to plug in an external monitor and if the laptop's screen cuts off or doesn't show up, start using the trackpad and press on a non-typing key like the shift key. If the external display suddenly pops and becomes active while the laptop display remains black, it's probably a problem with the sensor or the cable/connection. You might be able to fool the sensor into kicking on and off by moving a magnet over it. It's located on the left had side of the base with the unit opened up, and right over the audio output plug.
    I know of some people that put a small magnet right over the hall sensor's location so the laptop display turns off and they use the system with an external monitor, keyboard, and mouse. If fooling with magnets, make sure they're small and don't get them close to the hard drive because a strong magnet can wipe them out.
    I don't know if this will help you much, but it might.

  • How do you adjust Firefox to print what is on email page without adding a 1 inch left marghin to that page as it cuts off some of the right side of the page?

    When I receive an email the page often has a certificate that I would like to print. Using the print function at the top of the page brings up the email as a page as it looks in my web email. When I hit the print button on that page there is always a 1 inch margin added to the printed page cutting off the right side of the desired page to be printed.
    My printer accepts what ever I send it from word, pdf files as they appear on the screen, Why doe Firefox not send the same images as is displayed to the printer?
    This seems to occur whenever the screen shows an image that is almost border to border and not text. When a margin is part of the email message or it is text this doesn't seem to occur.
    HELP Please. I really need to be able to print what is displayed to print the proper document.
    Thanks

    Some pages add their own margin to the minimum margin set in Page Setup. First you might reduce the margin here:
    Alt+f (displays the classic File menu) > Page Setup > Margins & Header/Footer tab
    Second, you could try using Shrink to Fit. However, if the image is a background image rather than part of the content of the page, that might not have any effect.

    Hi,
    First, we can try to start Outlook with /cleanviews command to check if this issue is caused by corrupted view. To do this, exit Outlook, press Windows key + R, type
    outlook.exe /cleanviews in the Run dialog and press Enter.
    In addition, please go to Control Panel > Clock, Language and Region
    > Region > Click on Administrative tab and check which language for non-Unicode programs did you set. Please change it to default English to check if it helps.
    If problem persists, we can try to create a new mail profile and set up your email account in the new profile to check the result. See:

  • When I print one of my Yahoo emails, the text of the message doesn't wrap, so is cut off,and the side bar with Inbox, Sent, Drafts, etc is printed out with the message.

    When I print a Yahoo email, the text does not wrap (it used to) so part of the text is cut off.
