Email attachment from ibooks or file manager

When I email a attachment from ibooks or file manager, the text added to the email witch is visible in the send email on the ipad is not send except for the inserted file Only the attachment is received but no text. Is it possible to ad a text and signature?

That issue has nothing to do with FileVault. The recipient's mail server is misconfigured.

I can't use thunderbird 31.2.0 (Mozilla) to send attachement from a pdf file with Acrobat PRO XI. Each time, Acrobat replies (in french) : "il n'y a pas de client pour la messagerie par défaut". Thunderbird is indicated as "by default" in the list of programs of Windows.
Even if I type my e-mail address, etc. in the account of Acrobat, it doesn't change. Each time, I have to record a PDF file in a folder and return to Thunderbird to send it as attached. It is a too long process, compared with Windows XP with Acrobat Reader or Acrobat 5, I had before.
Would you please help me to explain the process. My OS is Windows 8.1.

When I introduce my e-mail address under Edit-Preferences-Email
Accounts, Acrobat ask the e-mail account, the password, the IMAP for
ingoing message (and I use POP) and SMTP for outgoing messages. Even I
introduce all the datas, it doesn't change, Acrobat is unable to send
the message. And the process is not convenient, because I need all my
outgoing messages be documented inside Thunderbird.
So, I repeat my request : how can I use thenderbird as program by
default from Acrobat or any other software ?

Read email adress from a text file then check the validity of them

a text file has three lines, each line contains one email adress:
[email protected]
qwe@@ws.com
wer//@we.net
read the email address from a text file, then check which one is invalid, output the invalid email adress in the console.

no 3 .umm, an email adress can have more than 2 '.'s in it,
example:
[email protected]
would be a valid email address.
To decide what a valid address is you'd need to parse it against the correct standard.
I think however that javax.mail.internet.InternetAddress does this for you, check out the docs:

even if it parses it may not be a valid address though in that it may not actually exist.

Send report as an email attachment from a page

I have page which generates a report based on two filters. After the report is generated, 'I want to send that report as an email attachment from that page, when button is clicked "Send Email"

I accomplished functionality I believe similar to what you are looking for in an application once by querying a report into an html e-mail message. This approach gives you all kinds of flexibility. At least this would be one way of doing it. I am going to include a simplified sample here of what the script looked like. I hope this is at least helpful.

Setting up the File Name of email Attachment from Received File Name

Hello All,
I have to send the Received File in attachment to an Email if there is any exception. Here I can attach the file, but I cannot set the file name of attachment as the Received File Name. Is there anyway of doing this without using custom pipeline component.
Here I am using the Orchestration and SMTP Adapter.Any help is greatly appreciated.

It might work if you use a custom pipeline component on your send port and in the Execute method populate the MIME.FileName property of the body part.
Something like:

How to detect whether a database was created by Restoring (from SQL Server Enterprise Manager) or by Attaching (from SQL Server Enterprise Manager)

Ours is a SQL Server Express Edition 2008-R2 - Windows Forms based application. We have a backup/restore utility provided with our software which performs some logical checks before restoring a backup to ensure that the backup is functionally valid.
However, our clients often use the SQL Server Enterprise Manager utility to 1) Restore backups or 2) Attach data files (kept aside before formatting) directly. This type of action bypasses all our functional checks and allows the user to restore an invalid
backup.
We want to detect that a database was restored/attached and may be we will stop the software from loading if such a thing happened. We think that this information (attach/restore) should be available within some table of SQL Server itself but don't know the
right location/query.
If any change is required in our software to achieve the above, we are ready to do the same too, e.g. may be we need to store some data at some point of time to make the detection happen, please advise.
So, how can we detect that
A database backup was restored using SQL Server Management Utility
(Note: MSDB.Restorehistory may not be a good option as we have often found this table blank for unknown reasons even after backup was restored and just in case user restores the MSDB from MSDB backup or MSDB template due to a data corruption, may be due to
abnormal shutdown of system, then the RestoreHistory table data is gone)
A database was created by attaching a data/log file using SQL Server Management Utility
Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.

Email attachment problems with "excel" files.

I have just upgraded to the iphone 4 from the 3gs and since doing so any emails I receive with excel files attached will not open the attachment? These files openened with no problem on the same email account on my 3gs.
Instead when I download the attachment and go to open it I am met with a page displaying....
"Unable to read document.
An error occured while reading the document."
Has anyone else having this problem or even better anyone know what the fix is to get these files showing up?

After much frustration about excel files not opening and repeatedly not getting answers from apple, I think I might have found another way. It seems that the new apple OS does not support older versions of excel. By saving the excel file in question (Save As) to "Microsoft Excel 2007 Workbook" the Workbook opens just fine as an E-mail attachment. If you have macro's you can save as "Microsoft Excel 2007 Workbook (Macro Enabled)" and it works also.
The Workbook in question as far as I was concerned was created in Microsoft Excel 2003.

i am creating a pdf by using fop. the issue is that i want to attach the pdf file to an email.
but i am wondering if there is any way to attach file to an email without generating an actual file. i am looking for info that i can use stream or object to send out emails...

Now multiple jpgs won't send. Other people have posted that problem. Looks like Mt. Lion has a bug with email attachments. It's not just a matter of pngs in iphoto.

Sending as email attachment from Word 2013 gets stuck in Outbox

I am using Office 2013 and use the send document as attachment option within Word to email documents. The documents that I email are from a shared exchange mailbox. Whenever I do this the emails get through to the receiver but are stuck in my personal outbox
rather than sending and heading to the shared sent box.
This only occurs when I use this option from Word, eg: I can send Excel attachments from within Excel and it goes to the shared Sent box.
I am also able to successfully send emails from with Outlook via the shared account.
I am unable to find any settings in Word that affect this behavior, any ideas?

Please run Word in Safe Mode to test if it's 3rd-party add-ins related:
Press Win + R and type “word.exe /safe” in the blank box, then press Enter.
If there’s no problem in Safe Mode, disable the suspicious add-ins to verify which add-ins caused this issue.

from the above error i can understand that only i have got the part of the code.

Sending Email Attachment from UNIX using UUENCODE Command

We are using "uuencode" command to send the mail with attachment to particular user but we are getting the mail without attachment, it's printing ASCII characters in mail body.
The command is:

mailx -s "Invoice Information Extract" $v_email_recipient
My requirement is to send the PDF file as an attachment.
Any setups or configuration required in UNIX box to get an attachment.

I need to send the PDF or zip file as an attachment through mail,
I tried with uuencode, it's not giving any error message but the mail recipient has only a mail with unreadable text because the pdf/zip file is directly in the mail (not as attachment).

Email attachment from spool...not to go on printer for printing

Hi,
I am sending email attachement whenever I find email address on customer. To send email I am reading from spool and then sending.
My requirement is I should not send the document for regular printing whenever I find email of customer. Since we are already sending the PDF to customer.
But right now in my program both printing and sending email is happening. How to stop printing when I find email ID of customer?

in your print program try to set the attribute TDNOPRINT of the OUTPUT_OPTIONS (structure SSFCOMPOP) with X in case you find the email.

Email pdf from iBooks isn't always possible

I have copied some pdfs from my computer to iPad when I synced. They are pdfs I made myself from Keynote presentations. When I open the files in iBooks, I can see the little arrow icon for export. When I tap it, there are usually 2 options, print and email. However sometimes the email option doesn't appear. I have made all the files in the same way so I don't understand why some files can be emailed and others can't.
Is anyone else having this problem.

The option doesn't appear when the file is too big to email!

i got request to develop background run program which check which staff is due CONFIRM and able to attach confirmation form (Microsoft Word file) to HR and CC staff manager as recipients.
I try almost all relevant FM but still face problem below, please assist.
1) FM SO_DOCUMENT_REPOSITORY_MANAGER
- A window pops up requesting Recipient email ids. I couldn't get the window suppressed.
2) FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1
- Since the attachment is a pre-formatted Word Document and not an Excel or Text document, couldn't process the contents into the internal table (most sample in forum is Excel not word)
Appreciate ABAP folks who have sample code attach a word file will help on this.
