Email attachments not seen by all receivers

Why is it that some email contacts can see my attachments and some can not. I send out emails in Mail with our newsletter attachments to our Mac group, and inevitably I hear from a couple of our users that they "can't see an attachment." When I check my sent folder, the attachment shows up there. Is there something in Preferences that can be checked by them? I usually have to solve this by going to my Yahoo account and sending it from there. Can someone help me?

The use of Plain Text to compose a message has absolutely no impact on the attachments. Your PDF will not be effected! Even if you add no text in the message body, as opposed to the attachment, it works better to use Plain Text for messages.
Again, I am not talking about your fonts and text in the Pages/PDF document -- only the setting for message text in Mail. Can be done either by setting in Mail Preferences/Compose or before sending, click on Format in the menubar, and choose Make Plain Text.

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
You say this is your work email -- do you know if it is BES? BES is something that your firm may have that integrates your BB with the corporate email system and handles all communications between your email system and your BB. If your calendar and contacts are synching OTA, then you are likely on BES. If you are on BES, then it is also likely that your BES admins have set a policy for no attachments (yes, they can do that)...and only they can fix it. Even if they didn't put such a policy in, they have control over your BB and must address the situation.

  • CRES html email attachments not working after upgrade to Exchange 2010

We have just upgraded from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010.  No other changes have been made to our network.  No changes were made to user workstations.  Now when users receive emails from Cicso Registered Envelope Service the HTML file attachments seem to be damaged.  It seems as if Exchange 2010 is stripping part of the HTML attachment.  The final error is "Incomplete Payload".  Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

  • Godaddy Email attachments not working with Firefox 10.02. Works with Internet Exporer. What can I do.

Attachments are not attaching to my emails in my [email protected] godaddy with Firefox the past 2 days. Going to website in Internet Explorer the email attachments work find. What can I do?

    Hello,
I have very similar problem. Suddenly Firefox stopped work - It was working few days after ver. 4 update. I was looking everywhere for some solution but nothing worked.
    - uninstalled firewall - did not worked
    - added full exception for Firefox into the firewall - did not worked
    - Firefox reinstall - did not worked
    - Firefox complete reinstall (registry included) - did not worked
    - IPv6 diseabling - did not worked
    - diferent proxy options (no proxy, system proxy, autodetect proxy) - did not worked
    - new firefox profile - did not worked
    - complete coockies, history... deleted - did not worked
    - there is only one solution which partly works - I have used public proxy addresses for Firefox but the ping is (750ms), down/up (0.8MB/0.2MB originaly (10MB/2MB) and yes I have tried different proxy server from different countries from my included.
    - IE is working perfectly and without proxy
    - other companies browser - did not worked too
    - only IE is working
    - I have used three different malware, trojans, spyware, anti-virus programs and nothing
It seems to me as hopeless situation or very clever move from Microsoft, I am forced to use IE - at least this works
    Any ideas, solutions?

  • My iCloud email does not sync to all my devices

My iCloud email (yes an @me address) does not sync to all my devices. My phone and mac sync perfectly, but my iPad never updates.  If I have my mac and phone on the mail program and I archive an email it works instantly on both devices.  However my iPad seems to be in the stone age. Even though I've archived all my mail and my inbox is empty on both my mac and phone my iPad still has a notification for 28 new emails going back to last week.  Its like my iPad is completely seperate.

Like I said its seemless between my phone and mac. I can archive on my phone and it will immediately disappear from my iMac and vice versa.  Its odd that it works on one iOS device and not another... And when I say my emails don't archive on my iPad I mean it shows the last 50 emails (because of my settings) from my inbox like I haven't already archived them already. So I have emails on my iPad from 9 days ago =\

  • .doc email attachments not opening since ios 8 on iPad 3rd gen

Since the ios 8 update, word .doc email attachments will not load on iPad. They download from Exchange server and when I click them, a new screen opens with just the file name (xxxx.doc), a description "Microsoft Word 97-2004 document" and the file size. Anyone else experiencing this or found a fix? Thanks

i had the same problem reading a .pdf attachment. I killed the Mail app, reopened the app and tried again and it opened the attachment. .doc attachments now open as well.

  • Email attachments not exporting from outlook 2013 with Acrobat XI standard

I can't get my email attachments in Outlook 2013 to export along with the message.   I've got the option checked in the settings to include attachments, and I don't get an error message when the PDF is created.  But it includes the message only, regardless of whether it's set to output as a portfolio.  I'm using the latest version (11.0.10) of Acrobat XI.  Does anyone have a suggestion on what the problem might be and how I can fix it?  Thanks very much.

    Hey mikem750,
Once you convert the email to PDF, you have to click on Attachments under the Navigation pane. You can then save the attached file and then convert it to PDF format.
Choosing 'include attachments' option under conversion settings will simply include attachments (original format) along with the converted email message.
    Hope this information helps.

  • Email attachments not working after latest upgrade

After downloading the latest Adobe update I can no longer attach pdf's straight to emails. This occurs in several programs which is frustrating - can anyone help?

  • Email attachments not displaying

Recently I've noticed my iPad and iPhone both have issues displaying the same files - jpg and png - when they are sent as email attachments. I've tried from different accounts to different accounts (I have both Gmail and MobileMe email on my iPad, iPhone and Mac), and the files display correctly on my Mac in both Mail and Preview. But on my iPad and iPhone I just get a little blue question mark. Trying to save the image just saves the little blue question mark.
Anyone got any suggestions? I've tried restarting the devices, deleting/readding email accounts, and modifying/resaving/converting the images on my Mac with both Preview and Photoshop... none of which makes any difference. And yes, I have "Load Remote Images" on in Mail Settings.

I have the same problem I get a email from my security DVD with jpeg attachments and it shows and old picture.  It seems the iPad is stuck on the old picture. This happens only on the iPad other devices download correct image.

  • Email attachments not being saved

    Hi all,
I have a site with an email enabled document library in it.  It is set to save both the email and the attachment in folders based on the sender.  For 99% of the emails, it works fine.  But for some reason, about once a month we get an email
where the attachment will not save out to the folder.  I have checked, and it doesn't matter the format of the email (I have tried rich text, plain text, and HTML).  I have also tried renaming the attachment and that doesn't help either.  The
email is delivered successfully (the app event log says 1 email was successfully processed) and if I download and open the eml file, the attachment is there, so I know it is not getting stripped out before reaching SharePoint.  There are no workflows
or anything that run, so that couldn't be the cause of it either.  The email is a PDF file (as are all attachments sent to this library) and it doesn't look any different than any other PDFs that upload successfully.  I can upload the file manually
successfully, so it is not that SharePoint won't handle the file, it just refuses to pull it from the email.
I also tried sending the email and attachment to another email enabled doc library, and that one works fine.  I can't find any differences between the 2 libraries at all.  I am at my wits end with this one.  anyone have any ideas that I can
    try?  Thanks a lot.

    Hi,
This issue may caused by Exchange delivered the email with Rich Text format which has some issues with incoming
email feature of SharePoint. Please try the following steps:
    1. Open Exchange Management Console
    2. Go to Organization -> Hub Transport -> Remote Domains (Tab)
    3. Create New Remote Domain
    4. Name can be whatever you want e.g. SharePoint
    5. Domain Name = <domain of SharePoint server> e.g.
    sharepoint.contoso.local
    6. Click New to create that object
    7. Then edit the new remote domain
    8. Go to Message Format (TAB)
    9. Under Exchange Rich-Text Format select “Never Use”

  • Why do some email attachments not appear

Email with small pdf file attached had paper clip showing there is an attachment, but there is no attachment showing in the email. If I forwad the email, ipad asks if I want to include attachment. I say include and forward it to myself. I go to exchange email on my desktop computer and the email with attachment is there. Open the same email on ipad, shows paperclip, but there is no attachment to open. This by no means happens on all email with attachments, it happens on approximately 5% of email from all different sources. Most emails with attachments, even pdf's come through fine, but a small number do not show attachment even though it is there.

No similarities at all, in fact expanding on my description above:
When I forward the email from my iPad(where i cannot see the attachment) to myself and then view it on my PC (which is running MS Office 2010), as I said I will see the attachment. I will then forward that to myself and open the email
on my iPad and there is no attachment (even though paper clip is there). Then I do the same exact thing from my PC, forward it to muself but this time I copy the same exact attachent into the forwarded email (so it has 2 attachments which are the same exact thing) and when I open that email on my iPad, I see one (1) attachment. I know this is very strange.
