Email Authentication not working

Question

i have tried the following code but it doesn't seem to work:
Properties props = new Properties();
props.put("mail.smtp.host", host);
props.put("mail.smtp.auth", "true");
// inner class
class OK_Authenticator extends Authenticator {
public javax.mail.PasswordAuthentication getPasswordAuthentication(){
return new javax.mail.PasswordAuthentication("username","password");
Session session = Session.getDefaultInstance(props, new OK_Authenticator());
Authentication failed error.
Do i have to change the settings of the mail server as well.
Please help me out.

Hello,
I've met the same Authentication Failed exception before, even after I've added an OK_Authenticator.
I put in my IMAP server's username/password, and it failed. I suspect the problem came from my username/password pairs. Maybe the username/password pairs of IMAP server different from SMTP server or POP3 server ? Do you use IMAP or POP3 server username/password like me ?
