Email Body is an Attachment for Outlook

Hello, for some reason when a user sends an email the body is put into an attachment for Outlook 2007 users. Has anyone experienced this before? And any solution for this?

I see this too. Mac OS X 10.6.4, all the latest updates, Send Windows Friendly attachments selected and I attach at the end of the body text. ATT files appear on Outlook. Apparently this has been going on for years. APPLE needs to fix this immediately. This is extremely embarrassing to Apple as well as Mac users, it's almost as bad as iPhone 4 problems, in that every time it happens it is seen by another person as well as the original Mac user.

Hi, I am sedning an eamil using the below code, when I check the mail in SOST, it looks perfect - I nice email body and a separate PDF attachment. But when i fire it off to my email account the email body appears as a 2nd PDF attachment in the mail.

Could be a problem on the mail client side... Could you have a look to the Mail format and try with another one?

Can give me any FM name to onvert SMARTFORM into HTML to paste in email body.

But I believe some FM should be ther to convert SMart form to HTML content. I found SO_OBJECT_SEND FM for adding fixed text in email body which can use HTML format also.
I need another FM to convert SMARTFORM to HTML,later I can use above mentioned FM for embedded in email body.

I have spool ID generated for the smartform, how can I send this spool in Email body rather than as an attachment.

Try this.. Get the OTF data from the SMARTFORM, use the OTF data and pass this to FM'CONVERT_OTF', and use the format as PDF.
Then use the resultant converted PDF data as attachment while calling the 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1' FM.

What I can consider is Conditional Formatting and font in message body.

Send Email Form InfoPath and Vote for outlook 2010

you know if it is possible to send mail with infopath form (not in attached) by peoplesoft 8.51 and you can change the form with Value peoplesoft. And if it's possbile to send vote outlook by peoplesoft (http://www.technipages.com/outlook-2010-2007-send-a-vote-email.html ) ?

Typically, the form submits to a script that formats the
email and then
sends it. This script could either be on the same page as the
form (in
which case it would only fire if the form has been submitted)
or it can be
on a separate page that is targeted in the action attribute
of the <form>
tag.
In the processing script, you would need to build the
recordset, add the
password from the recordset to the email and then send it.

IPhone email is locking up server for Outlook

My wife has started using an iPhone (an older model 3GS 64 GB) and I have set up her mail access on it.
She has a mail account with the big provider Telia in Sweden and she is usually handling this through her MS Outlook 2003 program on the PC.
Since we were going on a trip I was asked to set it up for her so she could access her mail from her iPhone.
When I set up the mail account for her it was the first time I did it on an iPhone, but I have done it numerous times before on other phone brands for myself so I thought I could manage it.
With the iPhone I came to a selection between POP and IMAP and since I believed that IMAP would get her a better handle on the emails (being able to selectively delete on the server) I chose that protocol. And since she treats the phone as the secondary mail handler I also set it to "leave mail on server" when checking the mail. On my own phones I have always used POP3.
The problem we have discovered now is that it seems like the iPhone is locking up the mail server for very long times such that her Outlook is unable to access the mail account (via POP3). It looks like she has to shut down the phone in order to get access from Outlook.
What is the remedy for this situation?
Is there some setting I have not configured or is this how IMAP works so I should change it to POP3 instead?

Try a reboot press & hold power button & menu until Apple Logo comes on then wait
you will not lose any data.

PI alert email body generating incorrect URL for message monitering

I need some light on the following problem, really appreciate your inputs and help

From the Runtime Work Bench, we are getting email into company out look express when there is an error in interface execution . It is working good.
But in side email content , we are getting URL Link for message moniter to view the failed PI message in RWB, this url is not working to display the failed message because of space before message id.
Can you please help me to know, at run time where this URL gets generated in the email, or where we can correct this URL in PI ?
2 .) In development and quality the URLs generated are completely different other than host, port.

How to use UTL_SMTP to send email with existing file attachment

Hello! I am trying to create a pl/sql procedure that lets me send an email and include an existing file to a email address. So far, I found information on how to send a file and create an attachment with information I put in the procedure. This is NOT what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to send an email and include an attachment for a file that already exists. I need the pre-existing file to be sent to the email recipient.

Background Job result output should be displayed in Email body

One of our user is scheduling background job, He need the output to his external Email ID.
user required that Job result output should be displayed in Email body, Not in attachment.
We have tried but job result received in email as HTML (or) PDF file attachment, But he wants output in Email body itself.

Displaying report output in email body is not available as a standard feature. Also doing a custom development would be very cumbersome .

Emailing Images Viewable in Email Body in Outlook

To give an email extra punch, I created a page in Pages, saved it as a pdf, opened it in Preview, saved that image as a JPEG, then added it as an attachment to an email and saved the mailing as stationery.
I want the image to appear in the body of the email, and not just as an attachment. Many of the recipients will be using Outlook.
I've sent test messages, and often the recipient can only see the emailed image as an attachment, not in the body of the received email.
Any suggestions?

Since it works on your dev system then it is likely not a code issue. I suspect there is a runtime file difference between your dev and staging system. Use [Modules|https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100006252802008E/modules.zip] to see if you can spot the difference. You'll need to run this on both systems while your app is running.
On your dev system, go through the procedure of exporting and emailing your report. Then run modules while the app is still running.
On your staging system, go through the same procedure until you get the error. Leave the error on the screen and run modules.
Finally, compare the two mdl log files using modules differences feature.

I think your only solution is to zip the image files first and then attach them.
Read this from a site I found:
Sending Graphical Attachments -- When you attach a graphical image to your message, the recipient of your message sees the image inline (that is, in the body of the message) if her email client supports inline display. ("Take Control of Email with Apple Mail" contains a table listing the capabilities of popular Mac and PC email clients.) If a client does not support inline display (or the recipient has turned off the inline display option), the file appears as an attachment that must be opened in a separate program.
On the one hand, an inline image is easier for the recipient to see - all she has to do is look at it. On the other hand, inline images can be frustrating to scroll through. If you do not wish to send a graphical image inline, you must compress the file before attaching it - Mail, sadly, lacks a built-in compression option, though fortunately for Panther users, the Finder offers Zip compression without requiring a separate application.
Note that when you compose a new message, Mail always shows attachments in the body of your message. You can manually drag them somewhere else, but many email clients display all attachments in a separate list, regardless of where you place them in the message body.
If you paste an image into a message or drag & drop an image from another window (say, a Web browser), Mail converts the raw image data to an attachment in TIFF format. You can handle the
ItemSend event of the Application class which is fired whenever an Microsoft Outlook item is sent, either by the user through an Inspector (before
the inspector is closed, but after the user clicks the Send button) or when the Send method
for an Outlook item, such as MailItem,
is used in a program.
Use the
Recipients property (a Recipients collection
that represents all the recipients for the Outlook item) of the MailItem class instead of the To property.
Use Recipients(index) or
Recipients.Item(index), where index is the name or index number, to return a single Recipient object. The name can be a string representing
the display name, the alias, or the full SMTP e-mail address of the recipient.
The Recipient class provides the
Address property which returns a string representing the e-mail address of the Recipient.
P.S. You can't remove the attachment for a specific email address. You need to send separate emails individually - with an attachment and without. In the ItemSend event handler you can check out the Recipients list and copy the source item
if you need to send the item without an attachment. Remove the "blocked" recipients from the original mail item and set them on the copied one. Then remove the attachment and send the copy.
