Email Button Doesn't Work in SWF File

In InDesign CS5.5, I have created a hyperlink that goes to email, and then a button that references the email hyperlink to start the process. This button works fine in preview mode, but doesn't work in the exported swf file.
Please help.

It may be a Flash Security issue... upload SWF to server, open it to browser from there and try your links again...

Email button doesn't work with Adobe Reader, only Acrobat

Hi,
I'm new to Adobe products and don't have much experience. Here's my problem.
I used LiveCycle Designer ES2 to create a fillable PDF form, with an email submit button. (uses mailto: to open users Outlook and attaches the pdf automatically)
The form is viewable by all, but the email button only works if opened with Acrobat.
Is there a way to have this work with Reader? We obviously don't have Acrobat licenses for every user.
Any support or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The problem is deeper than that. It's not reader. Now the same form I was creating in LifeCycle Designer ES2 yesterday, with the actions working perfectly, no longer work. None of the actions are working.
Could it be realted to me trying to set the default version compatibility to Adobe 7. It gave me warnings, so I set it back to 9.
Any help would be appreciated.

Ich habe ein pdf erstellt, welches nicht bei allen Benutzern funktioniert.
(I have constructed a formular which doesn't work by everybody)
Es funktioniert nur bei denen, die Adobe Prof. installiert haben.
(It works only by thos users which have Adobe Prof. on their pc.)
Manche haben aber nur den Adobe Reader oder den Adobe Prof und den Adobe Reader. Hier funtioniert das Formular nicht. Sie können das Formular ausfüllen, zurücksetzen aber nicht versenden.
(Some users have only Adobe Reader and some users have Adobe Prof. and Adobe Reader. Here the formular doesn't work. They can only fill and reset the formular but they can't send this formular.)
Wenn ich bei diesen Benutzern das Formular mit dem Adobe Prof. erzwinge, funktioniert es auch hier, aber nicht mit dem Adobe Reader. Leider öffnet es sich standardmäßig mit dem Reader.

Habt ihr eine Idee, woran es liegen könnte, dass es nicht funktioniert bzw. nur teilweise?

Hi,
If you are trying to send you form as pdf, your form has to be Reader extend with save permission. Acrobat reader has this ability while Reader - not, that is why your form works fine under Acrobat and not working under Reader.
To reader extend form you can use Reader Extensions ES .

Email button doesn't work

Hi, I'm relatively new to this stuff...In LiveCylce Designer ES, I created an email button that when clicked, I want it to attach the current fill-in PDF and email to a fixed email address, cc the email address entered in a form field, pull a name from form to be included in Subject line. In the Script Editor, I chose JavaScript at the Language and put the following script under form1.#subform[0].Button1::mouseUp - (JavaScript, client)

This is just a test version; I figure I would plug variations into several different forms I’m working on once I get it figured out. I didn’t extend this version; thought it would make it easier for you.

I have created a form and everything works on it, but the send to email part. I know the mailto: function is working because when I hit it on my desktop it goes through the steps to send the email. However when I upload it online the button does nothing. I don't understand how it can work on my own computer, but not when i put it on a site. Please help.

Are you trying this with Reader or Acrobat? If with Reader, are you submitting the form or the data (only the data is needed since it can be imported to the form)? If you are submitting the form in Reader, either change to data or activate Reader Rights. If you do the latter, read sec. 15 of the EULA to be sure you will not exceed the 500 use limit for your application -- you don't want to end up in court because of not reading. The data submission is not limited by the EULA.
E-mail also has issues for general form use since it is problematic for particular OS setups. It is always better to submit to a web script.

Delete button doesn't work in deleting files in Windows Explorer

Anyone is facing this problem? Delete button just works when deleting the letter we are typiing. Anyone can share if you are facing this problem and how to fix? thanks a lot.

Windows deletion is activated from cursor on object right click options where you see rename, delete etc.
You can delete multiple objects in Explorer's objects/list by putting cursor over 1st object, pressing the shift key and then sliding cursor down or up list to select multiply highlit objects. You right click on the group and can delete from dropdown. This can be used also to multiply rename pictures as well which is useful.

I'm using OS 10.6.8 and Mail 4.5. When I receive mails with attachments which are visible the save button doesn't work. Some contacts have problems opening files sent by me using Mail too. This was never a problem on pre-Intel. A real Mac **** up !

Can you drag and drop the attachments visible in the email to the Desktop OK or does that fail ?
Re the sending: Are these recipients on Mac's or PC's as the file type could be an issue, if on Mac's then try setting the Mail Preferences Composing setting to Plain Text not Rich Text and see if that improves things.

I can't save pic. from net. "set your download location place as "Pictures"" That button doesn't work, or button for "browse" to send a file.

I am using Firefox for several years and never had any problem. Since i update it to the new Firefox, problems start:
If i am trying to save a picture from ALL internet, it is not working. I am doing in the same way, like always: view image/save image as.... When i click it is not working, and all my screen doing like i make a refresh. I saw something strange files in temp after i am trying to save a picture, files with name like "etilqs" and some other letters after, the files are hidden. When i close firefox, files disappear.
If i am trying to send an e-mail with some files, button for search files in my pc, is not working, and when i click him, same thing with my screen. It is not about what kind of mail i am using, same problem if i want to attache a file on a site, even if i try to change files location in browser setup, like : options/general/save files to/... and i hit "browse..." button, same problem like i want to attache a file. Even here, if i want to use "ADD IMAGES" option, under is browse button, it is not working, same problem with my screen. Like is angry or something.

"Email me" doesn't work in Windows

Has anyone found that the "Email me" button doesn't work on Windows machines? I have just been told by one or two visitors to my website (www.aroundthebusch.com) who use Windows that the buttons didn't work.

Can't lower voice memo volume. My decrease button doesn't work anymore. Any other way i can lower it without disabling speaker

Own an iphone 5. Can't control voice memo volume from anywhere that deals with volume on my phone. My decrease button doesn't work. I have to listen to my voice memos on full blown volume. Can't lower it from settings or from music. Help please!

The Size of all disks is: 6 x 4 TB.
In the Pool are 5 x 4 TB plus 1 x Hot Spare.
It comes up to about 14,6 TB of Data formatable.
But tried it also with just 3 x 4 TB to see if it works.
I just made a Raid5EE on the controller and then used Storage Spaces with simple, all worked fine.
Here the results of my tests:
1) your command had to be modified (typoe in usemaximumsize, and had to add -ResiliencySettingName Parity.
new-virtualdisk -friendlyname testpsh -storagepoolfriendlyname test -ResiliencySettingName Parity -usemaximumsize
But anyway, my problem is not creating the virtual disk, but formatting the partition if it's parity only.
I added a screenshot:
Here you see my storage pool, and I added 3 virtual disk.
1 simple, 1 mirror, 1 parity. Only the parity cannot be formatted. The others can. No mather which size I do.
About a testserver, I added 4 x 4 TB to a VM (VHDX-files) and could do parity without problems. So it seems it is this server specific.
As it worked with another controller, I really wonder if the controller could break parity of Storage Pools?
The other weird part is, it sais "Raid" as BUS, but it's set to pass through, in details I see the serial of the attached HDD.
This is what properties shows on this volume. Always RAW.
I also tried Software Raid5 within the server.
This also worked fine. So really only parity.

Submit button doesn't work after moving form to another parent container

I'm re-arranging the page using jquery. When I moved a div or table containing a form to another div, the submit button doesn't work anymore. Using the emulation mode under the Inspect Element feature of IE, the same code works for IE9 but not under IE10
and up.
Any ideas?

When you distribute a form, it replaces the email address that you've set up in a submit button with the email address you have specified in "Edit > Preferences > Identity > Email Address". So before you initiate the Distribute Form process, change the email address there to the one you want to use.
It is a ridiculous solution, because it means I have to make the identity of my personal copy of Acrobat the email address of someone else or some other department when I make the form, but whatever -- at least the form sends now.
