Icloud account cannot be used to unlock this iphone
Hi I previously managed to set-up my iphone then lock it out by entering my passcode incorrectly too many times. In the end I have to restore the phone via itunes (which took 3 hrs)!.
I'm now trying to reset-up the phone, when I turned it on it remembered the previous icloud account the phone had been set-up with however it would not accept the password. Its now saying this icloud account cannot be used to unlock this iphone.
When i log into the same icloud account on the PC, the password works, however the find my iphone doesn't show this iphone as being connected.
Any ideas on who I can get this iphone working again.
Thanks SadieYou cannot Bypass the iPhone Activation Process.
The Apple ID and Password that was Originally used to Activate the iDevice is required
If you do not have that information you will not be able to use the Device.

1st Turn the phone completely off. Next goto http://icloud.com and log in,
Next select 'Find My iPhone', select your phone from the dropdown list and select 'Remove Device'.
Log out of your icloud account, Put phone into DFU mode, Restore phone and set up as a new iphone.

Hogwash, as such is impossible.
Doesn't matter though, as you won't be able to use this phone, & Apple can't/won't help you. -
Incorrect apple id cannot be used to unlock this iphone
Having a bit of a mare tonight. I have tried to restore from backup on my iMac to my girlfriends iPhone 5, I made the back up last night, and also backed up to iCloud last night using her apple id and password. Now according to Apples advice, if iTunes says there is not enough space to restore, go to iPhone and delete all content and settings etc. I did this it asked for iCloud login details etc and I deleted all content, when I plugged in to iTunes to retrieve the previous backup, I cannot get past the activation lock because of password. I can login to iCloud OK, (the same ID used to back up to iCloud last night!) with password but it won't accept it. This is so stupid I don't know where to start, the phone is now completely bricked, and can't even be activated yet alone restored.
She has had this phone from new but iCloud has always been a mess on this phone since iOS 7.
Any ideas??From iTunes

After formatting my iPhone 6 cannot activate it with my apple I'd say that
Incorrect apple I'd this I'd cannot be used to unlock this iphoneIf you're the device's original owner, take the device and its original purchase receipt to a physical Apple Store.
If not, but you're able to contact the person who set the lock, send them this link and tell them to follow its instructions.
If neither of the above applies, you can't activate the device but may be able to get it refunded. Apple won't remove the lock for anyone other than the original owner(assuming they're alive.)

hello sir
i recently changed my password and when i had reset my iphone now cant activate my iphone again
please help me on this issue
I CHANGED MY APPLE ID PASSWORDYou need to contact the seller. If they are the original owner of the phone, they need to remove the device from their iCloud. You cannot get past Activation Lock. Only the original Apple ID and password used to activate the device can be used. If you cannot get the original owner, then return the phone for a refund. It will be useless to you.
This explains Activation Lock to you http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5818 and this http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4515 explains what it is that you have to try and do. Either way, it requires the original Apple ID and password.

hi.i bought an iphone 4s from my friend.connected to itunes to restore it for a fresh install.after restoring to ios7 i realised that activation lock is enabled.i called my friend and get his id and pass.itunes said pass is wrong and cant activate the phone.then i logged in my friends icloud account (icloud.com said pass is ok) with same password and i removed the phone from 'find my iphone' list.but i forgot to erase the phone before removing it.now itunes says ''this apple id cannot be used to activate this iphone''.when i log in to icloud i cant see the phone in 'find my iphone' list so cant erase it now.can you please advise me step by step how to activate this phone?
APPLE says:If the previous owner is not present
Make sure the device is powered on and connected to a Wi-Fi or cellular network. Then contact the previous owner and ask them to follow these steps:
Sign in to their iCloud account at www.icloud.com/find.
Select the device from their Find My iPhone device list by clicking All Devices at the top of the screen.
Erase the device by clicking the Erase button. This will erase all content and settings from the device. When prompted, do not enter a phone number or message. Click Next until the device is erased.
When the erase is complete, click "Remove from Account" to remove the device from the account.
After the device has been erased and removed from the account, you can proceed with the device setup process.
i forgot to erase the phone.i just removed it without erasing. -
