Email change in OS 3.0??

I noticed something slightly different in the e-mail since the upgrade and I can't figure out if there is a purpose to it. You know how when you have new mail messages, there is a dot displayed to the left indicating new? Prior to 3.0, when you went to delete/move, the "new" indicater dot would go away and you'd just have radio buttons in order to check the messages you wanted to delete/move. NOW, same thing, except the new dot indicators stay. I have tried all kinds of finger operations to see if this means something, like being able to "mark as read" but I don't seem to come across any additional options other than the usual move/delete. Maybe it's wishful thinking on my part, but I was hoping that meant we could "mark as read" or something! Any ideas??

Yes I understand that. I'm not questioning the meaning. I'm questioning if the fact that is stays while in move/delete mode means there is another option with regard to new messages, such as "mark as read"

    If you still have access to your old email address, do the following:
    Go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the pimary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email account and verify it.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You should then be able to turn off Find My iPhone with your password. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back and change your primary email address and iCloud ID back to the way it was.  You will then be able to go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current ID and password to reconnect to your iCloud account.
    If you don't have access to your old email address, you will have to contact Apple to get them to reset the password for it so you can disable Find My iPhone and sign into your iCloud account.  You will have to prove your identity to them in order to do so.  You can either contact iTunes support for assistance with this (https://ssl.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html), or contact Apple Support (http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/).

    If you purchased about 2 years ago new I am sure it is a Intel iMac. To find out what type of iMac you have just click on the Apple menu item in the finder and select about this Mac. I would check the ISP mail site and get the correct outgoing mail server info.

    First off try and go into your IPhone manually through My Computer and cut photos or anything you can through the device to be able to free space up so that you can continue to do what you want to do with ITunes. This way you will be able to create a backup or do what you have to do to manage your information, photos and texts on your device a little better.

  • Message (iMessage) can't log in after email change

    I recently had to change me Apple ID email address.
    I went through the process Of logging out, deleting and logging back in with the correct email address to all the icloud services. Things like FaceTime iCloud time-sharing etc.
    I have had no problems with anything on iPhone but then on iPad I cannot login to messages. I tried everything but the old email address was somehow tied to the login screen so I could not login.
    As I could not find an answer I find Apple support and the answer was (easy of course) don't try and login with the settings app, but just opened the messages app on the iPad. This then has the option to change the email and login as normal.
    The anser was easy (of course) instead of using the settings app, open the actual messages app and this has the ability to change the email address!
    I posted this here just in case anyone else has the same trouble and couldn't find an answer just like I couldn't :-)

    Did that and now it is asking for security questions that I don't remember answering. Tried to get an email through to support but I can't get an address to send to, the system just keeps looping my around with no resolve to be found. I think they should make it easier to contact them.

  • My imessages have been hacked and recovery email changed and I can't delete it! (with pic)

    My iMessages have been hacked and the hacker entered his email as the recovery email with security questions I can't answer. I contacted Apple support and went through the 24 hour process of changing my info so that I could get into the account, but his email address is still the recovery address and it does not give me the option to delete it. I've added alternate emails that can be deleted, but it will not let me change or delete the recovery email. I can change phones and passwords a million times, but if he can just recover my password what am I supposed to do? I have turned iMessage off on my phone (as well as the gps) but I would really like help in deleting that recovery email if anyone has any bright ideas! The pic below shows the only place in all of the settings that his email address shows up anywhere! Any help is very very very appreciated.

    I don't think that can be solved by any advice the regular posters could post here.
    I would go back to Apple and explain the situation (again).
    I would also consider closing the account (Apple rarely seem to do this as accounts are never deleted but just closed).
    I understand this may cause issues for things purchased in iTunes and the App Store which my include Restoring the OS at some point.

  • How do I change the email on my phone's icloud account to reflect a recently changed email change in my AppleID?

    I changed the email information in our AppleID today. I figured out how to change most of the settings for our iphones, but when I click on icloud in settings, it still lists our original email address, and it won't allow me to change it. Is there a way to correct this? I'm sorry to be so daft if there's an easy solution that I'm unaware of!

    Thank you for that information, and it shows me the incorrect email address, but it's greyed out and it won't allow me to tap on it to change it. Is that strange?

  • I recently changed my email address and switched it to my primary address on my Apple ID account.  It works in iTunes, but when I open up iCloud, my old ID shows and I can't access it to change anything.  Can't ask for email change for password

    I recently changed my email address and updated my Apple ID name to the new address.  It worked for iTunes and apps, but when I bring up iCloud, my old ID name shows.  I can'tr access it to change it since my security questions don't work and when I request an email to change password, it says it sent one but I do not receive anything.  Just need to klnow how to change my Applle ID on iCloud if I can't access the old one.  I'm afraid if I delete the account and open a new one, I'll lose all of my calendar. 

    If you have 'Find My iPad' activated on the iPad it will cause this problem. You will have to contact Support for help. Go to https://expresslane.apple.com ; select 'More Products and Services', then 'Apple ID'. In the next page select 'Other Apple ID Topics' then 'Lost or forgotten Apple ID password' and click 'Continue'.

    I was hacked by the "whats app" email and had changed all my passwords (gmail, apple ID, etc), my mail app on my laptop is signed in to my gmail as per usual and is receiving mail but not sending mail. How do I get it to send mail again? Also is it ok to have the same gmail account used (as my mail and applied ID) after the hack or should I completely reset everything? Ie. get a new email address…So frustrated and confused, please help!!

    It's normal for your phone number to be grayed out in Settings>Messages>Send & Receive under "You can be reached by iMessage at" on your phone because it can't be changed.  If you phone number is listed there it should also be listed further down under "Start new conversations from".  If you tap your number there to select it, your messages will be identified to others as coming from your phone number, not your email address.
    Is you phone number listed there on your phone?

    PO output is send to vendor using email maintained in vendor master. 
    now at the time of creating /changing PO, email address can be changed in header details - Vendor tab.  But still system sends the output to email address maintained in vendor master.  is it possible to send output to email, which is entered at PO level.

    It is not possible at the time of ME21N to change vendor's email address using customizing.
    But you can have temporary email address in ME21N. While in ME21N , go to Address tab available in PO header there click on Address Details and enter desired email id. But this is temporary one and can not overwrite one maintained in Vendor master XK01.

  • How to notify (email) Change Manager when new Change Request is created

    Hi there, I am battling to generate an email when a developer creates a Change Request directly in the SolMan system. When he creates a new Change Request via CRMD_ORDER by filling in the Sold-to-Party, Change Manager, iBase etc., the message is automatically in 'To Be Approved'. I want to notify the Change Man ager as soon as a new Change Request has been submitted, but when I check the Actions tab in the message, no email action is listed or executed. I have edited SLFN0001_STANDARD... in SPPFCADM with conditions set. How can I create a email notification for the Change Manager as soon as a Change Request is in To Be Approved status?

    Hi,
    Create a action definition with the following information:
    Processing when saving.
    No restriction.
    Check Schedule Automatically.
    Check Partner-Dependent.
    Select Partner Function for Change Manager.
    Determination Using Conditions that Can be Transported.
    Then you have to create an Start Condition such as; userstatus = to be approved.
    No scheduled condition is needed.

  • When Matching Users Via Email, Changing Email Address Does Not Change Login

    Well, the subject pretty much says it all, but here're some examples of what's going on:
    Initial Data
    - Create 2 Business Partners in SAP, C1 and C2.
    - Create 2 Contact Employees in SAP, Adam with email adam at eden.org in C1 and Eve with no email in C2.
    Synch
    - Run Initial Synch followed by Standard Synch (for good measure).
    - Web Tools gets user Adam with username adam at eden.org.
    - Web Tools gets user Eve with username 2, the unique key for SAP's Contact Employee.
    Data Change In SAP
    - Adam's email is removed.
    - Eve's email is populated with eve at eden.org.
    Resynch
    - Run Standard Synch.
    - Web Tools changes both email addresses, with Adam's being erased and Eve's becoming eve at eden.org.
    - Web Tools does not change the UserID, leaving Adam's as adam at eden.org and Eve's as 2.
    That last bullet is the big problem: if a user changes an email address, the username doesn't change. Is there any way to change this across the board, or perhaps even force users to login via their current email address?

    Also, there is a field in the Users table called EmailLogin. I have tried without success to change this field so that the user would use this field to login instead of the UserID, but have been unsuccessful in getting it to work.
    As an alternative, the login control in /plugins/loginblock.ascx contains, as a portion, the following code:

    Again, the benefit to this is that you can synch using the Internal B1 Contact Code, which will remain constant and unique, and have the availability to change the way the user logs in by modifying the email address. Of course, email addresses would have to remain unique as well, but that's an easy enough thing to check for.
