Email client problems. Emails stored in my saved folders are missing? What gives?

I've lost all my "saved" emails in my folders?! (Mac email client) The folders are there, the contents are gone!

I would also like to know about the company directory question.
Is it just really well hidden, or actually not present.
If not present, when will i be available?
In general, I'm also missing a feature to enable a full sync/indexing localy on the phone.
Todays phones has tonns of memory and CPU power, and for the user to have the phone look up the calling party directly is verry time saving. Also being able to quickly identify missed and/or placed calls is verry usefull.

Why is mail saving sometimes dozens of versions of emails in trash and saved folders and how to fix it

Since updating to X have been having problem with sometimes dozens of emails being saved (depending how long I take to write an email) in saved and trash... Not sure why this is happening or how to fix it. Any ideas?

TS1347 All my contacts were lost after my husband uploaded the newest version to my iphone 3Gs. I never had done an update before. My email stopped working so I gave it a try. My email works, but my contacts & pictures are missing.

How do I get my contacts back after upgrade?

The "system" performed as designed. All devices syncing to one iCloud account are kept in common sync. The idea is that all such devices belong to one user. Different users should have different iCloud accounts. Once your contacts were edited, all devices were updated as well and subsequent backups (from yours and her device) reflected the changed contacts (and any other data that may have been edited like calendars). Your first task is to change your daughter over to a new account before she makes other changes.
The only way I see for getting back contacts is to restore them from a time machine backup, assuming you also have a Mac included in the account which syncs the contacts. However, I'm not sure whether time machine includes contacts from iCloud along with those that are local, "on my Mac".
Otherwise the deleted contacts are gone.

After installing Lion, some of my perviously saved files are missing. How do I get them back?

It's not just upgrading to Lion that causes problems. I'm losing files all over the place on a brand new Mac with Lion preinstalled.

I'm running FF 3.6.17 and when I try to log into my Blackboard page, I get an error message, "no user is currently logged in." I have noticed that some have had compatibility problems with earlier versions of FF and Blackboard, but what gives?

This recently upgraded version of Blackboard is also giving me problems with IE, and even Google Chrome. Regardless of which Windows OS I try. On these others, however, I can log in, I just can't edit.

Oh no! They shouldn't have just disappeared. Please clear your browser cache and log back in to https://cloud.acrobat.com/files. Also, try logging in using another web browser that Acrobat.com supports (System requirements | Acrobat.com).

Problem in Finder, can't open folders, icons missing text

Sometimes when I connect a USB3 external drive, if I double click it on the desktop, it opens a Finder window but it's totally blank/empty, as if the drive is empty (which it's not).
If I close and reopen a few times, eventually the content shows up, but there's black spaces where the text labels should be:

If I double click any of the folders in the pic, nothing happens.
It seems to work fine if I navigate to the USB drive from another Finder window using the Sidebar.

Open a guest account and see if the problem is Universal.
Try a SafeBoot http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1564 to see if it is some third party interference or extention
Delete the Finder plist and restart
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist

Saved passwords are missing

I downloaded Norton Internet Security 2011 (i used to have Norton Anti-Virus prior to this installation) and when i logged back into Firefox....ALL my saved Usernames and Passwords were GONE!!!! I run Windows XP...

This same issue started to happen to me ever since I installed Norton Anit-Virus. Very frustrating.

Saved voicemails are missing. Any idea how to recover? I did not delete

battery died. I cut it back on for a second to try and charge with car charger and that didn't connect and it died again. when phone charged back up, my saved voicemails were gone with the exception of 2 new ones.

Oh no, sorry to hear your saved voicemails have disappeared! Since the phone died, have you tried powering off your device and back on? When the phone died were you calling your voicemail? How long had these voicemails been saved in your voicemail inbox?

Emails from camera roll saved to wrong folder -- IMAP Path Prefix Problem

I think there's a problem with the behaviour of the way picture emails are saved when you have an IMAP Path Prefix.
I have an IMAP Path Prefix of "INBOX"... i.e. my sent folder is Inbox/Sent. Any plaintext emails I send from the email application from the iPhone are correctly saved to that folder and I can see them in that folder immediately via the iPhone's interface.
When I navigate to the camera roll or photo album and send a picture email to somebody, and use the iPhone to go view the sent folder, they never appear in the sent folder. For a while I thought they weren't being saved at all, but I just discovered from my home PC that the camera roll app is indeed saving them somewhere: in Inbox/Inbox/Sent.
That's right--I now have a new Inbox folder inside my Inbox folder, with just a Drafts and Sent folder. Drafts is Empty, Sent has all the picture emails I've ever sent with the iPhone.
Bug? I think so... Emails emanating from the camera app are taking the IMAP Path Prefix twice instead of once, and then creating that Path Prefix folder if it doesn't already exist.
Anybody else with an IMAP Path Prefix experiencing this with picture emails from the camera roll?

Ahhh interesting to find someone else with the same problem! It definitely happens when you send a photo message. My mac mail it shows my Inbox with a new nested sent items folder. I am using fusemail and the iPhone seriously messes with the folder structure. All sent items folders vanished for some reason on the mail server (but not in mac mail oddly) and I had to call technical support to make them reappear. I think this happened when I altered the Settings, Mail, Advanced settings, Mail box behaviour folders after having this problem with sent photo messages.
Now fusemail's webserver shows TWO Inboxes, one nested inside the other, and a "Sent Items" folder within the "new" inboxes.
Totally strange. I think there is a bug or two in the iPhone's IMAP software. Hoping for a bug fix soon, but until then perhaps a good work around might be to set the iPhone to store sent messages locally?

Email client problem with 11.0.3

I recently upgraded to Reader 11.0.3 and evertime I lauch the application I get an error message along the lines: "This application has failed to start because GAPI32.dll was not found. Re-intalling the application may fix this problem", followed by "Either there is no default email client or the current mail client cannot fulfil the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client."
I am running Windows XP SP3 with Outlook 2000 as the default mail client and have gone through the MS fix for missing GAPI32. The point is, I DO NOT want Reader to email anything for me at any time. I prefer to go into Outlook, prepare an email and attach a PDF. Reader works okay but I am getting pretty cheesed off with having to OK the two error boxes everytime I open a PDF.
Can I just remove the email facility from Reader? In Edit|Preferences Email Accounts, I get "Default Mail Application (Microsoft Outlook)" but the delete button is greyed out.

Timcarson1 in general the error message you received is accurate. Have you tried applying the update under a local administrator account to see if you face the same difficulty? If not then please work with your computer department to allow this test to occur.

If you want to make your user library remain visible, go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder.
