Hi,
We are configuring both outgoing and incoming mails. In the note 455140 point 5 explains some settings to be done in Mail server.
Our Mail admin asking clear documentation regarding routing mail from Exchange server 2007 (SMTP server) to SAP system.
Port used in sap system for smtp plugin is 25000.
Please let me know how to do this.

  • Configure incoming mails to lists and document library

    Hi Everyone,
I am trying to configure incoming mail in Sharepoint to accommodate sending emails to a list or a document library. Between the basic/automatic mode and advanced mode, I have opted to configure basic as I do not want to yet have to configure any settings
within our Exchange environment. I have set the incoming email server display address to be Mail.Sharepoint.com and specified that all emails should be accepted. I have also gone on to our Sharepoint web server and enabled SMTP service. I apart from enabling
the smtp service I have not configured anything else on the web server. Finally I have gone into the incoming email settings of a test document library and assigned  the name [email protected]
Having tried multiple times sending mails to the above mentioned address and getting the error "#,#5.7.0 smtp; 551 5.7.0 recipient domain does not exist in DNS>#SMTP#" please could you suggest what the problems is?
    Thanks,
    Dominic

You need to add an A record in DNS of mail.sharepoint.com to the DNS Zone hosting 'sharepoint.com'. You could also consider adding an MX record that points to that A record.

  • Incoming email configurations, what is missing?

I have configured incoming email settings in CA (System > Incoming email) and created SMTP service in Server Manager. I have also checked settings in IIS Manager > SMTP Virtual Server and set Properties > Access > Relay: Granted Access for IP
addresses of the SharePoint server, despite "Allow any computer etc" is checked. I've allowed email in library and created email address.
What else should be done? I've followed Technet instructions.

Have you set up an MX DNS record for the domain portion of the email address (i.e. everything to the right of the @)?
This record should point either to the SharePoint server running the SMTP service, or a mail server that can route mail to the SMTP service (if you're using Exchange this would be an SMTP Connector)

  • Email configuration on Google Mail

    Hi guys
I hope that you can help me to resolve this problem that I have. I am a big fan of GMail and use it now for over two years. I have my WHOLE LIFE on this. I have configured both work and private emails on GMail, my contacts and calander as well as Documents is on Google. This in turn is set up to sync automatically with my Nokia E71 and contacts on my Nokia 5800. All this is working great and have no problems. I have considered to change over to OVI as it does the same as Google, only that I have to much on Google and scared to change over at this stage.
My only problem is that I cannot add my OVI email on Google, it keeps giving me an error. I have visted a number of forums but none speak of GMail. The error I keep getting is  "OK READY IMAP 4" but cannot add account, it further says to contact my email priovider - in this case OVI.com
    I have tried various settings:
    imap.mail.ovi.com
    smtp.mail.ovi.com
    mail.ovi.com
    ports 993, 110 etc.
But to no avail, can some one please help me, really want to use this email on GMail.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Can I configure incoming email to a Calendar in SharePoint Online 2013?

I'd like to send invitations from my Outlook Calendar to my SharePoint Calendar inSharePoint Online 2013. Is there a way to do this? I've searched and see that I need to change the Incoming Mail Settings, but that doesn't appear under
Communications in SharePoint Online.   I'm not sure how to configure the Incoming Mail Settings to appear under Communications in SharePoint Online.

  • Custom DocLib Listdefinition (ListType 10000) show no Custom Action to configure incoming email

    Hi,
I need to add a custom listdefinition based on a Document Library which has a listtype like 10000. Libraries created with this listdefinition do not show the custom action to configure incoming email (settings > incoming email).
I heard that this custom action only shows with libraries created with listtype 101. How can I add this custom action to my custom document library.
    Thanks
    Cheers
    Sven

    Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to show the incoming email settings in your custom document library.
SharePoint only shows Incoming Email settings link for OOTB lists of type Announcements, Event, Document Library, Picture Library, XML Form, Discussion Board, Posts.
So, if you create a custom list, you need to create a custom email event handler and attach to your list and then Incoming Email settings link will be available.
Here is a detailed thread with the solution for your reference:

  • Configure sendmail to reject all incomming mail?

how would i configure sendmail on solaris8 to reject or trash all incomming email and still maintain capability to send email?

I found this thread useful and wonder why it some of this information isn't more readily available. Webservers shouldn't be running at mailservers and so the sendmail daemon doesn't boot up. Mail at cron and through .cgi/perl scripts utilize the sendmail on the servers I manage.
BUT -- in the last six months I find I'm having to reconfigure the sendmail.cf to find a way around an email configuration problem in our networks somewhere.
I've normally used the smart relay without problem. Now, even though I have the "connect" for mail going out to several different mail relays on the domain, the mail does not get delivered. I've tried to trace it down to one relay and have been unsuccessful.
The solution, and I don't understand it, is that we've setup a mail relay on a windows box in our domain and I've edited the sendmail.cf to use that mail relay instead of the smart relay.
In addition, and this is really strange to me, but I'm not a sendmail guru -- we're masquerading as a hotmail.com
If we don't masquerade as hotmail.com and use our own relay, the mail receipients don't receive mail occasionally. Both of these have to be in place for it to work successfully.
I think someone, somewhere, has a rule setup incorrectly, but it's beyond the relays we normally default to. With the mail relay setup in our domain, it accepts the mail because it's a relay, but what kind of rule would they possibly setup that accepts us masquerading as someone else???
    Can anyone help explain this?
I personally would love to see some documentation on how an SA could setup sendmail.cf for their webservers as outgoing and have it RIGHT.
Thanks for listening.... feel free to say something. :-)

  • Configure incoming e-mail settings - Error File Not Found?

    Hello
I am trying to setup a test server for SharePoint 2010 and I have followed the MS instructions for deploying a single SharePoint 2010 server with SQL server. I have had no problems or errors during the setup; however now going through the recomended
post installation task of configuring incoming email settings I am getting an error message.
I have added the SMTP service to the server, configured it in IIS then gone back to the SharePoint central administration page. When I click Configure incoming e-mail settings under System Settings I get the following error message.
Error File Not Found. Correlation ID: cc08f335-6762-4c70-a690-ecfd012ec3c2
I have no idea what is causing this so have no way to resolve it, any help would be really appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi Terradog,
Firstly, you can check the ULS log, which is located in Drive:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\LOGS folder. You can find the exact
correlection ID from the log file.
For the similar issue, you can refer to the following post:

I have several users in an exchange environment who cannot email a photo from the iPhone.  When the click on Email Photo, they are prompted to configure a mail account even though there is already an exchange account in place.  How do I remediate this?  Not all of the users in our environment have this issue.  If the users having this issue, install a secondary email account, Gmail, Hotmail, etc, then they can send through those accounts.  Why would the exchange account not be seen to send photos?

Sounds like it worked until the policies associated with the account that are creating the problem were fully pushed down.
Try setting up a new (test) Exhange account and see if it behaves the same way on the phone (after removing the problem account from the phone, of course).

    Sorry for the delay...
I did what you've told me, new account and manually copied my files from Time Machine. I had lots of permissions problems, but at the end, almost everything is in order... It seems it had to be with some of the Apple Preferences, but I can't be sure, as most of them were dumped to the trash can.
I still don't have my Mail Rules back, unfortunately, although I did goggled some. It is a pity, as I had around 30 or 40 of them, getting my mail in order to each of its mailboxes, but it is a small price as the rest doesn't show the before syntoms.
    Thanks for the help, anyway!!

  • Getting "Error in sieve filter" message with each incoming mail and cannot recieve or send mail to or from iCloud account apart from Apple emails!! Please help!

Since approx 7am GMT I've been getting "Error in sieve filter" message with each incoming mail, worse though, since about 12 noon I cannot recieve or send mail to or from my iCloud account apart from I've been getting  emails from Apple (ie I've just received a welcome one from Apple Support Communities...)!! I've had this account for years, never had a problem - it can't be the OSX Mail server because the problem is the same when I log directly into iCloud. I've tried sending emails from my Hotmail account to my iCloud account (a .mac) and just get undeliverable messages back. I'm really in the s**t now at work. : (  I just set up a Smart TV yesterday with a wireless dongle - that's the only thing I've done out of the ordinary. I've spoken to Sky who are my ISP and they say all's fine with them (although the router kept kicking my off the internet this morning which was strange...). Router seems fine now though.  I'm really hoping someone here can help!!
    Many thanks!!

Do you think once Apple sort this out I'll get my missing emails back?

  • TS3988 The correct information in the email address, Full name and Incoming mail server panes are greyed out, and I can get no further in bring my iCloud a/c online. Any ideas? Thanks.

I've just updated and installed Mountain Lion. I've clicked for iCloud for Mail. The correct information in the email address, Full name and Incoming mail server panes are greyed out, and I can get no further in bring my iCloud a/c online. Any ideas? Thanks.

They are grayed out because they are automatically set up whey you check Mail in System Preferences.  If you didn't do that, go back and do so and your iCloud email account will be set up automatically.

  • Block and Unblock the .zip and .rar files based on doamin or user account base on incoming mails with ironport email security.

    Hi All,
Request you all to help me out in blocking/dropping only the attachments with the extension .rar and .zip in incoming mails for particular users or domains.
as of now I have did for all the domains or users. However, I want to unblock it only for some particular/specific users and for rest it should block.
kindly help me with the steps to do the configuration.
    Thanks a ton in advance
    Regards,
    LRN

It sounds like you just need to use different incoming mail policies per group of individuals you want to block/drop .rar and .zip and those which you don't want this to happen.
The fact that you want a specific group to be allowed receipt of these and everyone else should have these blocked I would recommend creating an additional incoming mail policy that does NOT have a content filter that performs this blocking.  Add the appropriate users to this incoming mail policy.  Then create a incoming content filter that does this dropping of .rar and .zip files and apply this to the Default Incoming Mail Policy.
The content filter in this situation would not need a condition, just a action of strip attachments by file info , filename contains  .rar or .zip
Here is a useful regex for the content filter action:  (?i)\.(zip|rar)
    Hope this helps!
