Email: Confirm Your Account Apple !

I received an email from the following email address [email protected] , asking me to confirm my Apple account. I assume this is a fake email, can anyone confirm this?
I got a similar email earlier this month and it worries me that these kind of emails are sent to me...

It's a phishing attempt to try and get your account and payment details - you could forward the email to Apple : [email protected]
And then delete the email.
Emails from Apple will tend to be personalised (not 'dears', 'dear customer', 'hello' etc)

  • "Confirm your account information within 24 hours"- Scam??

    Hey all,
I think it's definitely a phishing scam but just thought I'd see if any of you have come across the same email?
The sender is Apple Support with email address of '[email protected]', so makes it look quite legitimate.
And the link takes you to the below page with this URL:
    http://https.www.apple-id.com-update.account-webobjects.itunesconnect.gundich.ki ev.ua/
I reported this to [email protected] as well.
Anyone has received the same email??
    Cheers,
    Findgun

    Yes, it's a scam.
It's definitely spam and sending it directly to [email protected] was the right thing to do. Other users have posted similar spam.
Keep in mind, Apple will never send you an email asking to confirm your Apple ID and password.

  • Not receiving email confirmation for account setup and digital purchase

I've been trying to get this website to send a confirmation to my email address in order to link my best buy account. It never sends any email and it's a standard hotmail account. Even if I try to change my email address, it still auto sends to the original address tied to my account number. It also won't send the digital code for an item I just purchased. Help?

    Good morning Godparticle,
Thank you for taking the time to sign up for the forum!
I looked over your account using the email address you registered with the forum, and from what I can see, your accounts(BestBuy.com and My Best Buy) are currently linked.  Are you able to access your My Best Buy account or are you trying to link it to a different BestBuy.com?  If you are looking to link it to a different account, then please send me a private message with the below information and I will see what I can do to help.  A private message can be sent by clicking on the blue button in my signature.

  • HT1918 email UPGRADE YOUR ACCOUNT: real or fraud?

hi i received an email (twice) apparently from apple (title "upgrade your account"). It reports that the system detected unusual charges to the credit card. They ask for all details after clicking on a reference number in the email. All looks like apple. Is it a fraud? Have you ever received such msg?
    Thanks, Alex.

    Hi abernand,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
This advice may help with verifying the email you've received:
What the iTunes Store will never ask you to provide via email:
    Social Security Number
    Mother's maiden name
    Full credit card number
    Credit card CCV code
"Phishers" create elaborate websites that look similar to iTunes, but their sole purpose is to collect your account information. Often, a fake email will ask you to click on a link and visit one of these phishing websites to "update your account information."
In general, all account-related activities will take place in the iTunes application directly, not through a web browser. If you are asked to update your account information, make sure that you do so only in iTunes or on a legitimate page on Apple.com, such as the online Apple Store.
If you have received a suspicious email, please notify iTunes Customer Support by visiting our website:www.apple.com/support/itunes/store.

  • How do you delete an existing iCloud email from your account?

    Hi,
My son set up an iCloud email on my account.  When I open my iCloud email and go to preferences and then accounts, the email he created shows up, but I do not see a way to delete it. Is there a way to delete that email and create my own?
    Thank you.

Press the minus sign (bottom left, next to the plus sign)
Select the account before you delete it.

my account is not frozen and i do not know if this is a genuine email. anyone else experienced this
    thanks

It's a phishing attempt to get your account id and password, the 'validate' link on that page isn't an Apple website (there are similar phishing attempts regularly posted on here) - you could forward the email to Apple : [email protected]

  • CC charged and email confirmation says delivery on 24th

It sounds like I was one of the lucky ones who was able to squeak in an order for delivery yesterday.
My email confirmation and account status say it will deliver on the 24th. How much are we betting this will still be accurate with the huge demand we've seen?
I also was under the impression my card wouldn't be charged until it shipped. Anyone else who got an order in yesterday see this?
Just excited to receive the phone like the rest of us.
And yes, I don't trust the reservations after having worked in Apple stores for launches. That is not a safety blanket folks. Get there early if you actually want to get a phone on launch day.

Yes, I made my order yesterday at about 8:30 pm eastern standard time. The charge has posted to my credit card and my email confirmation indicates delivery on June 24th. I also checked my order status today and it too says delivery for June 24th. But just in case it does not arrive, i do have one on reserve at the apple store.

  • Alias label on emails for gmail accounts on iphone

I use an alias on my gmail account with Entourage on my MacBook Pro that shows up when sending & replying in Entourage. However, I have not been able to use the alias email labels for messages on my iphone. Is there a way to accomplish this, so that emails originating, forwarding, & replying from my iphone via GMail display the alias email account?

Go to your archived section and you should delete emails on your account on your computer so you can mark all of them to delete and it can go by faster but does not delete all mail at once.

  • ICloud - Your account was disabled for security reasons

For some reason, I cant log into iCloud (or set it up as this is my first time trying to use it) It keeps saying that my account has been disabled for security reasons. It asks me to reset my password at iforgot.apple.com. I went ahead and reset my apple ID password but it still wont let me log into iCloud. I can log into iTunes store and other apple ID things, but iCloud doesnt work, any suggestions here? Im using a iPhone 4S.

Follow the instructions for "iforgot" to reset your account >  Apple ID: "This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons"  appears
