Email count is incorrect while the outbox is empty

As you can see on the following capture, my Outlook 2013 outbox indicates there are 3 unread messages. However, the outbox is
empty. And the status bar shows 3 items in total and 2 of them are unread. These are totally wrong. There should be something wrong with the counter. I tried right clicking the outbox, and then select "Clean up folder" or "Delete
all", nothing changed. I also tried "Send and Receive all folders" and "Update folder", same results. I don't want to rebuild the profile. Or I have to redo settings, signatures and etc. Any other way to fix this?

Caused by data file (PST/OST)? corrupted Outlook profile ? I cannot confirm that.
At this point, we may use Scanpst.exe to scan your PST/OST file and then reload it to test:

Or we can totally create a new Outlook profile to resync a new OST file.

Hi Tony. I went to Control Panel->Email->Email Accounts, enabled "Use Cached Exchange mode", and then Outlook can start normally. However, if I disable "Use Cached Exchange mode", the Outlook won't start and pops up below

And if I Enable "Use Cached Exchange Mode" and set the "Mail to keep offline" to "All" and then restart Outlook, the issue persists, Outbox count still indicates "3".
BTW, this is my work email account. It works fine on my work PC and the version is also 2013.

Emails not sending, "stuck" in the outbox and no error message

I have been trying to send emails for a few days now and they will not send. They go to the outbox file and then the don't leave. There is no error message and my POP account, .mac account, and the smtp.mac.com are all working correctly. I can still receive mail. The emails don't get sent to the draft file.

What does “my POP account, .mac account, and the smtp.mac.com are all working correctly” mean? Which account has the problem? Those accounts are clearly not working correctly if you have this problem...
What does “The emails don't get sent to the draft file” mean? Which messages would you expect to be moved to Drafts and as a result of doing what?
I assume that the account is "online", i.e. Mailbox > Go Online appears disabled (grayed out), right? If that's the case, try this:
1. In Mail, move any messages waiting in Outbox to another mailbox (e.g. Drafts), to avoid losing them.
2. Quit Mail.
3. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Mail/Mailboxes/.
4. Locate Outbox.mbox and move it to the Trash.
5. Open Mail. A new (empty) Outbox.mbox will be created automatically. Check whether the problem is fixed.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder. That is, ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder, i.e. /Users/username/Library.

After migration from Xp to Windows 7 Email is getting stuck in the Outbox.

We are using USMT 4.0 with all requisite patches for Office 2010 to migrate users from Windows XP to Windows 7. Some of our users are up and running but after a day or two they are unable to send emails and everything is getting stuck in the Outbox.
At this time the only work around is to recreate the entire local profile. Once we do this the user is up and running without issues. Any assistance on this issue would be greatly appreciated!

There are several reasons that may cause the email stuck issue, such as Outlook or the mail server is offline, An antispam or antivirus scanner is scanning outgoing mail, Wrong or bad password, or not authenticating properly with the mail server, the message
is too large to send...

I configured UTL_Mail because i need to send email and everything works good. But when I send an email with an email account associated with the domain that I configured. The outlook does not appear anything in the outbox.
Example
I sent a message [email protected] account, the message is sent and reaches all recipients. In the inbox of the recipients [email protected] appears as the sender, but when I enter my account Outllok in the outbox nothing appears. My account is [email protected]
What happens?

Icloud email address is incorrect and I can't change it.

All of a sudden I cant access my icloud account due to the email address being incorrect. The e mail address that shows up on my phone is a variation of mine but not the right one. I therefore cant enter a password. Please help.

I'd like to know the answer to this problem as well. My Apple ID changed, however my iphone still has the previous appearing in sign into iCloud. It's greyed out, so i can't change it. If I want to delete the account, which I have tried, it wants the password for the old Apple ID.

Unread Email Count change after ios7 upgrade

In ios 6 the unread email count was based on the how many weeks/days of email you sync. Now after upgrading to ios7 the unread email count for me between gmail and ymail is 1000s of email as I have unread email on the server from 2012 and 2011 which I dont snyc with phone(since I only snyc last week of emails). Is there a way to customize the settings so the unread email count setting goes back to how it was in ios6.

I meant to say "In ios 6 the unread email count was based on the how many unread emails you have on your phone. With number of email on the phone was dependent on the # of weeks/days setting for the email". Now with ios7 the number of unread emails are based on the number of unread emails total you have for that email account.

I am trying to install Boxi3. The cms and audit dbs are all in sql database. The dbs and accounts are setup properly. However while installing, after I selected the CMS and Audit DBs, I am getting

Incorrect email count

Fo rthe past few days my iPhone has been showing that I have 3 emails when in fact my email box is empty. As are trash and drafts. How do I get rid of the incorrect email count?

Found the solution. They were in my second e-mail account which was also turned on.

I have 5 email accounts. On one account I receive email, however, in responding to the email from this one account I get the following message "Cannot send Mail" A copy has been placed in ur outbox. The recipient was rejected by the server?

I lost access to my email account quite a while ago. I don't remember what password I had on it. Even though it says everywhere else what my apple id is in the link that comes up you can't change it

I lost access to my email account quite a while ago. I don't remember what the old pass word is. My I cloud account under my email settings is correct. My phone set up fine, but when I set my ipad up, it comes up with old email address. In the email settings the icloud is correct. But it will not let me change it in the part I need to. It is greyed out. This is actually for the iphone 5.

If you're running iOS 6, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID. This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your device, but not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account, your iCloud data will reappear on your device when you sign back in.
To avoid losing photo stream photos, save them to your camera roll (if not already there) before deleting the account. To do this, open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.

I am not able to send Photos via email any longer. I am able to send emails but if I try to send a photo attached it just hangs there in the outbox. I have tried the various options to re-boot ?

I am now unable to send any photos from my iPad2, When I got this last December it worked fine and I could easily take a picture and send it.
About a month ago I tried it and it and it failed, I was abroad and did not think it was a problem?

When I load email messages from one Thunderbird program to another in the outbox, then I can send them all in one go. I have to re-open each message and send it

I have two computer terminals. One is connected to internet. THen I have another with an internal network set-up, not connected to internet. Thunderbird installed on both. I download emails on the internet computer, export the messages on a USB stick and import them in my Thunderbird in the other computer. Answer the emails, then export from the outbox and them import to the outbox on my internet computer in Thunderbird. This has worked fine up to now, but since some days I can't send the emails after having imported them in my outbox. I have to reopen each email and send it, and then it goes. But I can't just click send and it sends all one after one. what happens is it processes the email for about a minute and then gives an error message. On each email. What to do?

The copying is for security reasons, I want to be able to keep email comm on an internal server that can't be accessed through internet.
The error message I get is: "Sending of message failed.
The message could not be sent because the connection to SMTP server timed out. Try again or contact your network administrator."
It worked some days ago so I don't understand what's different now.
