Email dissapeared. Can someone help?

I had dot mac service until a month back and have been wanting to renew but just dont have funds quite yet for the same.
I saved all my dot mac email to a new folder that I created 'on my mac' so that I can search them when and if I wanted to.
I come in today and its all gone, no email, no folder. I did a search for some of those emails and its not there..
Can someone pls help me?

I was able to find my emails but I still could use some help from the experts out here.
I began to do some digging following some advice from another post where Ernie tried to help another user with a somewhat similar issue.

My results were somewhat successful. In ~Library/Mail , I found that my emails were not on a folder 'on my mac', where I am so sure I had transferred them to, but are still somehow stored on my 'would have been deleted' .mac folders.
Those folders are labelled as mac-username and has the subfolders INBOX.imapmbox, Junk.imapmbox, Sent Messages.imapmbox, Trash.imapmbox, Drafts.imapmbox and so on.
However I CANNOT VIEW these messages on my .mac inbox subfolder on mail.app
I have to individually go to the ~Library/Mail/Mac-username folder/INBOX.imapmbox/Messages folder to view the individual emails. (Which by the way, the INBOX.imapmbox also has other folder and files labelled as CachedData1, CachedMessages, content_index and Info.plist)
I think that the messages that I tried to transfer from the .mac inbox to the originally created 'on my mac' folder (now dissapeared) did not quite go. But they are no longer on my mail.app inbox .mac message view. And no matter what I try, I cannot seem to restore these messages
I simply need to save these messages subdivided into Inbox, sent messages, etc.. on a folder on mail.app so that I can go back to them when I want to.
Can someone help me? I will greatly appreciate any help here. I have Mail 2.0.7

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Just sign the old user ouf of the store, and sign back in with your AppleID and password.
Just scroll down to the bottom of the store screen, click on the Apple ID bar, click on sign out, then sign back in with your AppleID.
Note though that if the phone already has apps on it purchased by the previous owner, those are permanently tied to the previous owners Apple ID - you would need their password to update any of those apps. The only option to you to update any of them would be to delete them, and purchase them yourself using your own Apple ID.

I need to make a pdf form that is fillable and send from ipad to email not tracked just the complete email. Can someone help me.

I have forms that I have created with submit buttons, that are filled out and sent complete to an email box. I would like to do the same only have my form filled out on an ipad and then have the submit button send the completed form the same way.
I don't want to gather the data, since i am doing this for another department. They want to track there own data via the Pdf's they receive. Is this possible?

Can't get images to appear in email.. can someone help?

I am trying to create an invitation to send in an email. I created a page in iWeb, published to my Mobileme site, opened Safari and selected "mail contents of this page." It open in Apple Mail and looked fine. But I when I send it, if it is opened in anything other than my Apple Mail (such as the .me website email function), the JPEG that was in the email (which I had loaded into iWeb) does not show up... just the box with question mark. Am I doing something wrong? Any way to fix this? Thanks much?

It's a mail client issue and not an iWeb one. Some clients do not load the images that are linked to. Have you tried opening that email when you're not connected to the internet? You might see the same effect except the other mail client is set not to load images.
Is this other email client on your Mac? If so check it's preferences to see if there's an option to load or not load images. In Mail that option is in it's Viewing preference pane: Display remote images in HTML messages. Uncheck that box and reload your email and you will only get the text in your page. It's may be something like that in the other email client.

"Your email account" means to tap on the name of your email account. Whatever it is listed as in the settings.
In my mail settings, one of my email accounts is a Comcast account. I tap on the Comcast name and it brings up this window.
Then I tap on the arrow under the Outgoing mail server smtp setting to get to the next window.
In the resulting window, I then tap on the arrow next to the smtp server under the Primary Server setting.
That brings up this window in which I check to make sure that my user name and password have been entered correctly. If those items are missing, enter them in the appropriate fields and then tap done.

IF you do find a backup that has your contacts; I'd /highly/ recommand turning off your wifi network after the restore is finished because if the issue is with your iCloud your contacts may merge back with her's.
With iCloud you DO NOT want to share the account; bad things happen Evil evil thigns...
But in all seriousness; if two devices have the same iCloud; iCloud is told to merge and sync infomation between hte two and can't tell that it doesn't belong to the same person

I can't send mail after updating to mavericks (10.9.2) . i have to quit and restart mail each time i want to send an email - i can't believe apple have done this so amateurishly - please can someone help ???

i cant use mail to send an email. it goes to my out box and then eventually comes up with this dialogue :
"An error occurred while sending this message using the SMTP server “(null)”
Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or click Try Later to leave the message in your Outbox until it can be sent."
I have to click Try Later and then quit mail , then restart Mail and then if I am lucky the email will be sent. the next time I have to send an email the same thing happens . Google show that you have to cut what you want to print and then paste it into a new app and print from that app.

First go here - https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/ and login under the manage tab. Check your information and be sure it is all correct.
An AppleID is nothing more than an email address, so if you see another email address in the store, then someone has logged in with a different AppleID than yours. Did you let someone else use your iPhone?

Try restarting your Mac.
If that doesn't help, open a Finder window. Select your Home folder (it has a small house icon) in the Sidebar on the left.
Now open the Library folder then the Prefernces folder.
Move the com.apple.desktop.plist file to the Trash. Restart your Mac one more time.

Restart your Mac and immediately hold down the Shift key when you hear the startup chime to boot into Safe Mode. Keep holding the Shift key until you see a progress bar towards the bottom of the screen. You can let go of the Shift key at that point.
OS X asks you to log in (you will get this screen on a Safe Mode boot even if your Mac is set to automatically log in). Let the Mac finish booting to the desktop and then restart normally. This will clear Font Book's database and the cache files of the user account you logged into in Safe Mode.
Next, close all running applications. From an administrator account, open the Terminal app and enter the following command. You can also copy/paste it from here into the Terminal window:
sudo atsutil databases -remove
Terminal will then ask for your admin password. As you type, it will not show anything, so be sure to enter it correctly.
This removes all font cache files. Both for the system and the current user font cache files. After running the command, close Terminal and immediately restart your Mac.

This is what it is and what it does. You both have to have iOS 5 installed on your supported device. If that's not what your setup is, then that's your answer.
