Email distribution list in mail adaptor

Hi,
I am using mail adaptor / mail map to send email notificaiton, it works fine for single email id or multiple but not working for email distribution list which starts with "#". Is there any configuration required?
Thanks,
Menaga

Hi Menaga,
Distrubutor mail id is like simillar to normal mail id, but internally it contains the number of mail ids.
Ask your network team to create the distributed mail id (in this mail id how many mail ids you want you can put that mail ids).
and configure that distributed mail id like you configure in the normal mail id.
Regards
Ramesh.

  • How does everyone manage Email Distribution Lists in E-Business Suite

We have heaps of email distribution lists stored in Oracle Ebusiness Suite, excel, access ..you name it!
I would like to use a standard method for tagging contacts in the CRM Sales and Marketing Online so our employees can run reports to create external mailing lists.
Today we use classification codes to do this. Have also thought about using a descriptive flex field and report on that to create a contact list with name and email addresses.
Anybody have a better idea for how to achieve this in Oracle Marketing/Sales Online?
Ideally, we would like to create a customer facing website so people could subscribe/unsubscribe from email lists and have it fully integrated 'plugged in' to the above solution.

    Thanks Ravi for your response.
No, no such kind of reasons.
Indeed I can send successfully to a simple email address but not to the distribution list ...
The problem is right there, in the fact that there is a ditribution list but I really don't know what's the problem ...
Have you ever use a distribution list? Any special thing to do with it?
    A'll appreciate any help.

It sounds like your hard disk is not accessible, I would first you need to start your iMac with the system DVD that came with your system, then format the hard drive with disk utility, then install the Mac OS X on to your newly formatted drive.

How do you setup an email distribution list on an ipad?

Although you could create a contact group with your distribution list on icloud.com, you couldn't select the group to email to.  To email a group of contacts (as well as create contact groups) you would need to use an app like Speed Names.

  • How to create a group from an email distribution list

    Hi,
I've searched around and could not find this question asked or answered.  It's this:
I get an email containing a very large distribution list.  I have some of these names in my address books but many I do not.
I need to send out emails to this same distribution list that is not a 'reply all".  What I'd like to do is easily highlight the names and create a group that I can then send emails to in the future.
Right now it seems that the only way to do this is to create a contact for each and then drop each one into a new group that I create.  Seems quite tedious.
Anybody know how to get this done?  I'm hoping for a magical highlight all the names, right click, select 'new group", name new group and presto: done.  All the email addresses would now be in contacts along with the new group.
    Thanks for your help.

There was a "magical" set of Applescripts that would have done that, but it no longer works.
There is no way in the OS to do that besides making the Applescript yourself using the current Script Editor.
Another way to do what you want is to select all of the addresses (select one, then cmd-A). Then, drag the selection to somewhere in the Finder. That will create a text clipping. You can then drag that text clipping into the address field in Mail.
The text clipping will be named with the first few email addresses. You can rename it in the Finder.
Each one can be your own "distribution" list.

How do you create an email distribution list

This is what I do and it works!
    1.  Create a new contact in iCloud (iCloud.com) or from your iPhone or iPad.
    2.  The company name field is your distribution name.
    3.   In one email field type in or paste in all the email addresses you want in the format as listed below. That's open double quotes follow by person's name close double quotes. Open greater than sign e-mail close greater then sign.  Each additional entry follow by a comma.  Last entry you don't need to.
             "first lastName"<[email protected]>,
I would suggest do this in Note (on the iPad) or somewhere you can see your entres. Then paste them to the email field.
    Good luck!  Hope this helps.

  • Email distribution list

In Outlook, I have a distribution list set up to send email to multiple names and addresses as a mass email. Can I do this on the iPhone without choosing each individual one at a time?

Nice idea - shame you cant add/make contact groups simply on the iphone4.
Check this note though from that link :

  • Is there a way to create a email distribution list from my contacts?

I am converting from PC to apple.  I have many contacts and want to learn how to create distribution lists.  If anyone knows, please help.

That feature does not exist currently in the Comtacts app on the iPad. There are third party apps that let you do it - Group Email with Attachements (?) is one such app - I think!
I read where one user actually created a distribution list in the notes app bytry ping the email addresses and leaving a space in between each address and then copied the list from the Notes app and pasted it into the To: field in an email as a workaround. I tried it and it will work - you have to play around with it a little. I can't remember if you leave a space in between the email addresses or separate them with a comma, but I did get it to work.
Of course now I have this bizarre looking distribution list that pops up when I'm typing an email that I will never use and can't get rid of, but curiosity got the best of me on that one.

  • Failure of Apple email to list incoming mail

I have an aol mail account. works perfectly - except for the past few months, ALL mail received will show on my aol site but only SOME on my apple email site. Very frustrating and I learned on Macrumors that I am not the only one with this problem. Anyone here have this problem? Or perhaps a solution. Thanks.

Thank you for responding.  After investigating and checking further, it was clear that only one of your suggestions changes the font size of the list of emails, also called the In-box.  And that is the display resolution.
However, changing the display resolution affects the dots per inch of everything, everywhere and makes it larger.
Given the high end fee Apple charges for their products, and the generally well developed software they provide, it is hard to imagine they have not corrected this obvious slight of effort on the inbox text. At times Apple's "one-size-fits-all" and "it's our way or no way" mentality astounds me and makes me want to run back to Microsoft.
Evidently this is a well known mistake, which has yet to receive any attention.
Again, thank you for your effort and assistance on my behalf.

  • Email distribution lists?

I have made 'cards' in my contacts which makes it easy to find individuals to email, but how do I create a set of contacts as a group to email altogether without having to add each one to the address bar?
    Thank you.
    Dan

Assuming you are using Mail (the Apple Mail app), go into your Address Book (now called Contacts) and create a Group and add the individuals to the Group.  Then in Mail, you can just type in the name of the Group and Mail will add all the members of the group to whichever address field you are using (aka TO, CC or BCC).

  • Hyperion Financial Reports - Batch Email Distribution List disappeared

In FR, when you schedule a batch, you can add e-mail addresses to a receipient list. These e-mail addresses can then be selected so these individuals receive the e-mail with the reports attached. Has anyone had the problem where the receipent list completely disappears? We had this happen 1 time back in 2010 just after we implemented and then just happened again today in 2012. Does anyone know the cause? We can add the names back in but would like to know cause so we don't do it again?

    What version is this?
