Email domain not found

Just moved clients to a new web host and asked them to change their POP3 mail server settings. They weren't able to change, so the Bell Technician had them delete the account, but now they cannot seem to recreate the account. Keep getting the error "We were not able to find the mail domain: nameofdomain.com. Please check that info and try it again".
* nameofdomain.com is just an example not the real domain I am actually working with.
Can connect to the mail server and receive emails through Outlook no problem, it's just on the blackberry that we're having issues.
Any ideas would be most appreciated.

Not google.  We moved our email server to mosso.com
iptools shows the correct ip for the mail server which is:  mail.emailsrvr.com
But whenever I try to enter that server, it fails on all Blackberry's I've tried it on.  Works fine on my iPhone and others.
Both on the phone and on the web site, when trying to enter the new email server "mail.emailsrvr.com" it refuses to set it.

  • Email address domain not found (OWA setup)

We have an in-house exchange server (SBS 2008) and have had 5 users successfully using blackberries for close to a year via setting up the OWA (outlook web access) at nextel.blackberry.com.
2 days ago one of the users upgraded his blackberry and email stopped working (both peronsal POP email as well as exchange email through OWA).
We deleted all the accounts at the nextel.blackberry.com website and tried to re-add them.  The personal MSN POP3 email was added successfully and is working great.  However when we try to add the account for OWA access, we get the error message "Email address domain not found".
Now I know that message comes up initially if you enter a password on the first screen.  But we still get this message on the advanced OWA setup screen.  We spent 2 hours on the phone with both nextel AND RIM and all either could tell us is that something must be wrong with our exchange server. (they were not able to add it either).
Well, our exchange server is running strong sending and receiving emails, we have several users throughout the country accessing OWA without ANY problems AND we have 4 blackberry users that are still active and receiving emails from our exchange server without any problem.
Any thoughts?  FYI we are running through postini for inbound/outbound email BUT this has never posed an issue previously for all the blackberries setup in the past year.

I was able to resolve this on my own.  Apparently Blackberry's website app scans for what it considers to be valid MX records on the domain of the email address you're trying to send.  We use postini for inbound/outbound and as a result had no MX records that pointed directly to our server.
When I added an additional MX record pointing directly to our server, blackberry's website was then able to add the account.  After the account was added I was then able to remove the MX record and the blackberry continues to function.

  • Domain not found Errors

    Hi,
I am using SJSMS 6.2 and am having some troubles with mail.
I have a few feedback forms on my website that send data to a specified email address, say [email protected] In SJSMS 6.2, I have the [email protected] auto forward any emails to about 3 other accounts in other domain (eg: [email protected], [email protected] & [email protected]). I am getting the following errors come back from the other domain:
    Recipient address: [email protected]
Reason: Remote SMTP server has rejected address
Diagnostic code: smtp;554 <[email protected]>: Sender address rejected: Domain not found
Remote system: dns;maila.otherdomain.com.au (maila.otherdomain.com.au Other SMTP Gateway)
Basically it looks like it is sending out the full name of my machine ie: @hydrows.mydomain.com.au when it should just be @mydomain.com.au
    Obviously my machine is hydrows.
I am using some standard perl scripts to send the mail and they use the "/usr/lib/sendmail -t -n"
    bash-3.00# ./imsimta version
Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 6.2 (built Dec 2 2004)
    libimta.so 6.2 (built 00:34:23, Dec 2 2004)
    SunOS hydrows 5.10 Generic_118822-18 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-V250
I remember in the "old" iPlanet 4 Messgaing Server, the sendmail program was replaced with an iPlanet version and everything seemed to work ok. After reading through the Admin Manual, I followed the steps as detailed in the "Handling sendmail Clients" section (Solaris 9 and above, as I am using Solaris 10).
In there is says to change in the submit.mc file:
    FEATURE ('msp')dn
    to
    FEATURE ('msp', 'hydrows.mydomain.com.au')dnl
My original file actually had FEATURE ('msp', '[127.0.0.0]')dnl or something similar there already. After trying both hydrows.mydomain.com.au and just mydomain.com.au, compiling and then trying to email I still get the same errors.
    Any ideas?
    thanks,
    Rob

    Well, um,
what that other site is doing is counter to RFC. but they do it anyway.
First, Messaging 6 keeps the original sendmail. we now coexist with it.
    Things to check:
    1. can you send mail to that site with a regular client, through your Messaging Server? If you can, it's something you're doing with Sendmail.
    If you can't, then um, . . .
possibly, your ehlo announcement includes your machine name. Likely, in fact, as that's normal.
If you need to "hide" that, in your imta.cnf file, down in the channel block area, locate your tcp_local config line.
On the second line, the one starting with
    tcp_daemon
add a space, then "otherdomain.com.au", like this:
    tcp_daemon otherdomain.com.au
    that'll change the ehlo announcement.
    Oh, yes.

  • Domain not found - 450 delayed

    Hi,
when I send email to not existing domian (like gmil.com) message is queded and delayed, not deffered. Problem is that notification about undelivery is send after 4 days (when gwia give ups to reliver message).
Is there wa to notify user that his meesage has been delayed (its mostly simple typos in domain names). I know "Return notification to sender when message is delayed" option, but it notify evey time when gwia fails to send message, so user get info about his mistake every 20 minutes through 4 days.
What I mean is something like "I coundn't deliver messaage because 'domain not found'. I will try to send it next '4 days' and I will let you know if I fail"

I mean gmail.com, but you understood my problem well
I recenty migrated to 2012 and users started complains about long delivery failure notification. I suspect some config problem, because I didnt upgrade gwia - just implemented fresh installation.

Actually, gmil.com does exist and has since 1999 for Greater Miami
Internet LLC, so that can't be what you are hitting, though they do only
have one MX, so it is possibly not to responsive all the time.
I don't have a 2012 system to test, but certainly if the domain is missing
such as devnullnot.com, then GWIA should give you a bounce back very
quickly which GWIA 8 does nicely.
If a domain exists, but doesn't have any MX records, it should also fail
    right away.
Only if the domain is real and at least one MX record exists should there
be any delay or differer happening and then only if the MX record(s)
is(are) unreachable/busy/greylisting at the time GWIA tries to connect to
    it(them).

Yes, we did fresh/clean directory server installation. We use the SampleMailService that comes with the JES. We used DSAME to create the users.
As for the DNS changes, I am not able to provide the information but I will get it.

  • Domain not found........!

After a unexpected resatrt, my i web no longer opens. I get a message saying 'Domain not found'
I reloaded my applications bundle, still the same problem. I tried to load the domain file directly from the library, also the same problem.............
Please shed some light for me, I'm sure its a simple fix...........

No, actually I never went to iWeb '08. I just reinstalled iLife '06 after cleaning out my HD. Earlier I'd removed iMovie, iPhoto, iDVD, etc. to save space but after I dumped all my non-English language packages ( using the Tinker Tool System ) and two old Previous Systems folders I recovered a huge amount of HD space and felt I could reinstall them. I wasn't sure how I could just reinstall the programs that I had removed from Applications so I reinstalled iLife '06.
I tried a Spotlight search and got Apple discussions and iWeb. When I open iWeb I get a clean slate with no sites in the site organizer. But, as I've said, I have several slideshows on webpages that I have a url link to so there must be a domain out there somewhere. If I created a new webpage using iWeb what would happen to the old domain?

  • Optimum domain not found page coming up?

Hi, for some reason, recently, when I type a URL without the end (.com/net/org/etc.), instead of automatically going to a page, I get an Optimum domain not found page. The weird thing is, my mom uses the same internet provider and network but doesn't get the message on her computer. Here's what I get.
    http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q248/jetsfan_28/Picture1-30.png
Anyone know why this is happening? It happens on Firefox too.

I'd say your ISP is redirecting you to their search page when their DNS servers can't find an entry for what you typed in. Have you tried typing the name and then pressing Shift+Enter? This will force the browser to add .com at the end of the entry.
But if you really want to avoid this, you should change the DNS Server entries in System Preferences by adding these two:
    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220
click Apply Now and then quit System Preferences. Restart Safari and try it again. Your browsing
speed should increase and these redirects to the Optimum search page should stop. Instead, if an entry can't be found or is uncertain, you'll be taken to the OpenDNS page where it will try to suggest what you may have been looking for, or allow you to search for it.

  • When using Craigslist I keep getting this error: Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Nothing I do works to fix this.

When I use Craigslist, my personal list of things being sold, and I try and renew my listings, I periodically get this: "Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain." Usually rebooting my computer makes it go away for a short time, but today that isn't working and following the commands on the warning doesn't work either...is this truly a firefox issue? How do I fix it.

  • Scan to Email Application not found

    Hello support,
I'm having a problem with the Scan to Email program. When I use the HP Scan app and I want to make an Email as PDF, the app starts to make the scan, but when i want to send it to my email i receive the error that the Scan to Email Application is not found. The HP Scan application cannot find an email application installed on the computer.
On the computer we have a local installation of Lotus Notes. Is it possible that the program doesn't work with Lotus Notes? And is there a way to make this work?
I made the Lotus Notes program as default email program on the desktop.
Can you please help me with this problem?
    With kind regards,
    Leedur

    Hello,
If you are initiating scan to email using the printer front panel, then your printer need to be connected to Internet ( Web services should be enabled ). After which the printer would prompt you to key in the recipient email address before you touch SEND.
If you are initiating the scan to email using the printer software ( HP Printer Assistant ), then you need have an email Client ( like MS Outlook or Mozilla thunderbird ). The software would open a new compose email with the scan pdf as attachment .

  • Can't Set Up Mobile Email: "Server Not Found"

    Greetings,
I'm trying to set up a mobile email account on with a flip top Verizon phone for a customer.  When I enter in our IMAP server details, I repeatedly get the message, "Server Not Found Check Your Details" or something like that.
This mail server is entirely legitimate and all of our DNS information is correct.
Can someone from Verizon please chime in on this and offer some advice?
    Thanks.

        Hi spiritres,
If you've followed the details above then you've taken the steps the phone needs for service to run properly. Can you see if other data services work ok on the phone? Can you send/receive picture messages? Can you browse the mobile web? If these aren't working then it's the data connection itself causing the trouble. If they work then I encourage you to check with your email provider and have them confirm the settings being used on Mobile Email. Some email providers change their server details for mobile devices.
    Thanks,

  • SendFailedException, valid email addresses not sent

    Hi all,
I'm using the JavaMail 1.2 API to send email to an SMTP server and I'm having a problem with invalid addresses. I'm using the Transport.sendMessage(Message, Address[]) method. The API docs says, ". Also, if any of the addresses is invalid, a SendFailedException is thrown. Note however, that the message is sent to the valid addresses."
However, if there is an invalid address I get the SendFailedException as expected, but the message is not sent to the valid email addresses.
Has anyone experienced this? Solutions, workarounds?
    Thanks,

    the SOP prints "Null" ...
