Email file attachments in SAP

Hello,
Is there any size limitation for the attachments in mail send option?
If yes where can we check the defined limit.
In my case when attached file contains more than 1000 records, it does not send the data in mail.
Is there any parameter to pass in such case?

  • I want to view email file attachments in the 6.0 browzer, how?

Operating System XP SP2, Firefox 6.0, Email Outlook Express.
I am emailed video files as attachments in Quick Time Player formats .MOV and M4V. I am unable to view the files from the Browzer. I have to save the files and access to access them in VLC Media Player. I want to be able to click on the attachments and view within Firefox as in prior versions.
I see no one else has asked this question, but there are a multitude of complaints on line.

You can't. Not in landscape. There is no way to hide or remove it.

I would like to attach a PDF file to an e-mail. The PDF file

have some text in the body of the email and I would like to
    attach the PDF file.
I have know how to send an emial using the utl_smtp procedure
with a subject and body text. I have seen an example of how to
attach in-line text, but wasn't sure how to attache a file.
In example It appears that the attached text file is generated
from inline text and they are not attaching a Text File.
    Can anyone help.
P.S. I am doing this both from the WEB and Client Server

The issue has to do with the space in filename in the utl_http.begin_request. I got it fixed. Thanks

  • I'm using yahoo email on firefox but cannot download or save doc file attachments

Emails that I have received on my yahoo account contain attachments, saved as word documents or powerpoint or pdf files. Today, when I tried to download these files, the daownloading software could not recognise the file format in any of the files (I tried with twenty different files), and therefore could not download or save the files. The pop up window simply states "Resolving...." and does not change at all.
Please assist me to download file attachments on emails that come through yahoo, when I use Firefox as my browser.

    Hi there,
Please take a look at this article ([[Managing file types]]). Let us know if it worked!

I'm unable to email PDF attachments, this has started in the last 2 weeks - any clues why as other file types are sending?

    Greetings,
That is rather strange. Attachments are attachments.  The big difference between what will send and what won't is usually either who you are sending it to (wrong email address) or how big the attachment is (most email providers have a limit to the total message size between 10 MB and 20 MB).
-- What happens when you say you are "unable to email PDF attachments"?  What error message do you get?
-- Are you sending these emails using the Mail program?
-- What is the file size of the PDF you are trying to send?
-- What happens if you compress the PDF before you email it (Highlight the PDF on the desktop and then go to File > Compress) ?
-- What happens if you send the PDF to yourself?
    Cheers.

How do i get both my IPAD devices to display the PDF icons/attachments? Bearing in mind if i open the same email over the internet the PDF Icons/attachments display OK!
Has anyone come across this? Your advice/help would be most appreciated

This happens to me all the time.
If is a one page PDF it seems as though it comes over already open and inline in the body of the email. Multiple page PDF files show as the PDF icon.
I can't find any official documentation of this - other than based on my own experience with PDF attachments in my various email accounts.

How can I install attachments for SAP notes with zip-files ???

Can you elaborate on your question? How exactly is your question related to SAP NetWeaver Portal: Application Integration? If you are really asking how to install attachments contained in SAP notes, there is no automatic/general way and you should ask your question in the Software Support and Maintenance space to begin with. What SAP note(s) are you looking at installing?

  • Email with attachments whose path is mentioned in hier seq list

    Hi,
I am trying to send 3 attachments to an email by using SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1
The files are to be picked up from an editable field of header of an hierarchical sequential ALV list. The email with attachments has to be sent on click of a user button 'Send email'.
Can anyone guide me how to achieve these?
    1) F4 for filepath on the ALV field for hier seq list
    2) The attachments should be the ones mentioned in the file paths of fields f1, f2, f3 resply.
Currently, the attachments are sent with the mail but are empty and without filenames!
Part of the code for attachments is pasted below:
Pack the mail contents and attachment
      lt_packing_list-transf_bin  = space.
      lt_packing_list-head_start  = 1.
      lt_packing_list-head_num    = 0.
      lt_packing_list-body_start  = 1.
      lt_packing_list-body_num    = LINES( objcont ).
      lt_packing_list-doc_type    = 'RAW'.
      APPEND lt_packing_list. CLEAR lt_packing_list.
      lt_packing_list-transf_bin  = 'X'.
      lt_packing_list-head_start  = 1.
      lt_packing_list-head_num    = 1.
      lt_packing_list-body_start  = 1.
lt_packing_list-doc_type    = 'XLS'. " You can give RAW incase if you want just a txt file.
      lt_packing_list-obj_name    = gt_ppsn_hdr-att1.
      APPEND lt_packing_list. CLEAR lt_packing_list.

  • Viewing Excel & PDF file attachments in Mac Mail 3.6

I setup my IMAP Gmail account on my Macbook's Mail 3.6. In the advanced tab of my Gmail account preferences in Mail 3.6 under "Keep copies of messages for offline viewing:" I have selected "All messages and their attachments"
Whenever I click on an Excel attachment, I get the error message "'filename' cannot be accessed. The file may be read-only, or you may be trying to access a read-only location. Or, the server the document is stored on may not be responding."
Whenever I click on a PDF attachment, I get the error message "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired."
I then tried saving the attachments from Mail 3.6 to my hard drive, but received the same error messages when I tried to open them.
However, when I access my Gmail account using my browser and download the same attachments to my hard drive, they open up without any problems.
I have deleted the folder containing the emails containing the attachments from Mail 3.6 and re-synced it with Gmail. While it successfully completes the download of all of the messages and their attachments, the same problem occurs. Oddly enough, this problem does not occur with Word Document attachments or JPEG file attachments.
This is my first Mac and while I am extremely proficient with Windows, I am clueless with Mac OS X. I have read posts about AppleDouble and Compression, but can't seem to find those options to play around with, even though I do not think that either is the issue. Any help is highly appreciated.

    Sijmons,
well, I didn' got confused but only wanted to help you with your Altzheimer
    Geeborg,
I used to .Mac webmail with Firefox on Windows and opened a message with an attachment (mpg). I clicked on the small triangle behind the word "Attachments" and then I clicked on the name of the attachment. This opened a window stating that the attachment would be downloaded. After some time I was asked to open the file with application xyz (I don't remember the name) or to save it on disk. Choosing to open the file finally launched Windows Media Player which played the mpg.
Can you try these steps on one of your attachments?

    Hi Everyone,
I have a Web Dynpro Java Application form that when submitted generates an Adobe Interactive form along with any attachments and starts a guided procedure. Today I'm experiencing a random error (see below), if I preview the Adobe form before the workflow starts then the attachments seems fine (correct size) but once submitted the first approver will get a null pointer exception and the file attachments appear blank. I've used the same data over and over again but it only happens randomly. I can't replicate it in my DEV or  TEST to be able to debug nor can I find the cause.  Anyone know what this error is?
