Email footer option ?

Can the email footer be edited on the 8520?
What i am trying to do is to have a few spaces between the end of the email before the signature.
Currently the signature is on the next line of text at the end of the email.

You can adjust both the actual auto signature and the spacing before it in your BlackBerry Internet Service account. Try the second set of instructions in the article and make sure you adjust the spacing that shows before your signature. This should allow the extra line break before your signature when sending email. You will need to login to your account via PC to do this.

How do i get my email footer to show in the email

I want to send emails and have my email footer appear at the bottom of the email. What actually happens is my email footer appears as an attachment! Its really annoying. How do i make it so that my footer appears at the bottom of every email?

By "footer" do you mean your signature? What's in it: plain text, styled text, graphics? What about the body of your messages (same options)?
I stick with plain text, and almost all recipients see it at the bottom of my plain-text messages.

Email Delivery Option - Simple TEXT Output is coming as an attachment

Hi All,
I am trying to use R12.1.3 feature "Delivery Option" while Submitting Concurrent Program "Payables Open Interface Import" using FND_SUBMIT with email Delivery Option and email is coming with an attachment (Concurrent Program Output).
Email Body is blank (as expected if Output is coming as an attachment), as per documentation if CP Output is in TEXT Format then Email body should show the Output instead of an attachment.
My Question, is if Output is TEXT why it is coming as an attachment, do I need to Configure something?
I am using and it is working fine(not sure if any of the argument is required to Set "SMTP_CONTENT_TYPE",

Huge email footer instead of image?

Hello, in our company we have image based email footers that work fine with all of our hardware, but for some reason if a user replies (and only on a reply) with iPhones mail client, instead of the image footer they get a giant wall of random text, image attached.
This text goes on for pages and pages, i imagine its the text equivelant of the file size of the email footer, but thats just a guess. Has anyone seen this problem before? i've tried googling many times to no avail.

I had that problem once, never got to the bottom of it because my phone was due for a swap because it was faulty anyway.
That random text isn't random text. It's Base64 encoding. It's an encryption method. Where is the text occurring? On the iPhone or the client hardware that receives the reply?

Email Bursting Option.

Any one implemented Email Bursting Option as per oracle user guide 120xdoig.pdf?
I am trying to implement exactly as per user guide . But it is not working as expected. It is delivering the empty documents. It is not picking the data from my XML File.
Appriciate , If share any sample files and procedure to implement this option.

"Email link" option changes font to "Times New Roman" at end of the URL in Outlook

When using the "Email link" option in Firefox, it then calls Outlook, then inserts the title of the webpage, as well as the URL. This is a handy feature that I have been using for years, but has always had an annoying bug.
The URL in the body of the message conforms with Outlook's settings (font is Calibri 11 for me), but then Firefox also adds a space at the end of the URL, which is formatted in Times New Roman 12. I have gone through every template and setting Outlook and checked for TNR. It is nowhere to be found. This is something that Firefox is doing, and has been doing for many, many years (at least as far back as version 3.6, all the way to 17, which I'm running now.

Seems obvious now, just added the css class to the body div.

Email / Print Option in E-Recruiting (Urgent -- Plz reply Immediately)

Dear SDN Members..
With the support of sdn team members.. we are able to finish 80%of e-rec job...
Now the only problem we are facing, is with email / Print option...which we are unable to see in the recruiter page...
In the Corresponce Page we are able to see all the Planned activities..... but we are unable to send those documents.. as a result we are unable to complete those activies...
Kindly let meknow if we are missing any settings...

could you please check the table entries in T77RCF_CS_CHAN and its text table T77RCF_CS_CHAN_T? It seems, that the table entries are missing there. You should have the table entries for the channels 'E_MAIL' and 'PRINTER' in T77RCF_CS_CHAN. In table T77RCF_CS_CHAN_T you should have the descriptions for both channels in your logon language.
In addition you could check with transaction slg1, if there is any entry in application log. Error messages can be found in application log. The protocol ofthen helps resolving problems.

EMAIL Declined option

Hi Experts,
After Identifying and confirming the customer in IC CRM 2007, when customer is not wishing to give his E-mail id, i should able to disable the field by check mark E-mail declined.what are the option available for this particular requirement .Can i use any Standard fields in ICCMP_BP_EDIT component.Thanks in Advance.

For sure there is no standard field dedicated to this "email declined" option... and it is always quite tricky to "misuse" fields provided by SAP (you never know if some standard process will use your field one day). That's why I would create a Z field with EEBW (which takes 5 minutes).
Another option if you don't want to create a z field would be to use marketing attributes... but not the simplest solution as you will have to handle the attribute set assignment each time a business partner is created.
By the way: do you want to store the information that a customer doesn't want to give his email id ? (so that next time he calls you already know that he doesn't want to give his email). Because if it is not the case, then any value node that do not store the information into the database will do the trick...

Email setup option

somehow i do not have the "i want to create or add an email address" option but only the bb enterprise server option.
thus am not able to setup my gmail account as my address on my bb. can some one help me?

First, you should know the 9550 Storm is NOT going to work on Rogers (or not work well, at least).
Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan enabled on your account with your carrier or mobile provider?
You must, in order to get the RIM push email functions you are looking for, as well as additional BlackBerry data services such as the internet browser, Facebook for BlackBerry, BlackBerry Messenger, and much more.
So, call your carrier and inquire about having the BlackBerry Data Plan added to your account.

Adding image as email footer

I want to add an image as the email footer. I'm using messaging server 2005Q4. I saw a thread about how to add a disclaimer, is pretty similar but with text. Does anybody has done this before? any help will be appreciate it.

Safari's "Email Website" option poses problems when viewed in Apple Mail

With the new Safari came a great set of new features. One of them is the "Email Website" option under the "Share" button. This embeds the website in an email and allows you to send it to anybody. I've received a couple of these. They look great. However there's one big issue. There is no way to then open the original page in Safari. The links on the page are clickable, so you can open some new page, however unless you knew where on the website the page you were emailed is located, you might spend half an hour looking for it.
To make this feature fully functional, there should be an option in Apple Mail to "Open webpage in browser", which would open a link to the original website. Meaning that you still get an embedded website in an HTML email, however there's an option that will open the original URL (which could be anything like http://www.mywebsite.com/store/gifts.html).
Unless this is already implemented and I don't know how to enable it?

Ok, so even thought no one has answered, it appears that once I move mail to the "On My Mac" mailboxes, they no longer exist on the server (though they can be moved back there if desired). Which means that I'm fine if I migrate my hosting to a new server, and redownload them, because the mail in "On My Mac" will be untouched. The only thing I don't know about is the "Sent" mail, but I believe those also exist on the server, and therefore if I migrate them then the link relationships are maintained (no idea about the mail that is "On My Mac" that has links to "Sent" mail in the server, but I guess that isn't so important).
As for keeping a completely syncronizable Mail application - the only way it appears I'd be able to do that is to forgo "On My Mac" entirely, and keep *all* mail on the server. If I want to move mail into different folders, those folders would have to be Server folders created for that account, and hosted by that hosting company. This actually doesn't seem like such a bad move, especially as we get further and further away from having only one device that we use to process Mail.
Are there any disadvantages to *not* using the local "On My Mac" folders? Are there any major advantages to using them?

Broadcasting Email Bursting option not working for different mprv

Hi BW experts,
I am facing an issue with Broadcaster settings wherein I am using Email Bursting option.
My setup is like following :
I am using info object ZHRLVL to store hierarchy levels within an organization.
ZHRLVL has an attribute namely email address(E1) which contains the email ids of various managers.
The info object ZHRLVL is included in 2 Multiproviders namely M1 and M2.
email address(E1) is enabled as navigational attribute and in all reports based on M1 and M2 there is a user input variable available for the same.
Both Multiproviders contain transactional records which have ZHRLVL values filled up.
Also in master data ,against ZHRLVL values(the same which are present in transactional record) , email address are maintained.
However, when executing IB settings queries on M1 and M2, Broadcasting works for M1 but however it doesnt work for M2.
Any help in this regards will be appreciated.

Thanks for noticing that.My Mistake I didnt mention about the error message.
The error message comes in form of a warning saying that the recipients could not be determined.
This happens on top of my maintaining the email ids in master data against the corresponding transactional record values.
Would apperciate if you are able to suggest something here.

Reconcile email messages option not available in Desktop Manager

I recently installed the Desktop Manager in an attempt to sync my new Tour with Outlook 07. After going through the install process, I went to the Synchronize option in the desktop manager and the reconcile email messages option is greyed out. I have a home office and do not have a BB Enterprise Server. In fact, there is not even an Email Settings icon available to me in the Main Menu of the desktop manager.  Any thoughts on how to enable this option? Thanks

That function is not available on a personal BIS account.
You'll need a BES account for email and messages reconcile, to Outlook.

Email sync options

Can someone recommend a email sync option as my company will not use imap.

If you are trying to sync a company email and they will not set up as IMAP, really the only way is to set up a rule in your company email to foward all messages to a different email address (set up a free account at Google or similar) and then set up that account to sync with your iphone.

Don't Have Personal Email Setup Option

When I go to to "Email Setup" in the "Setup Wizard" on my 8100 Pearl, I only have one email type option that says "I want to us a work email account with Blackerry Enterprise Server".   I don't get the option of selecting the "Blackberry Internet Service Email Options" which is the option I want so I can use my personal email Pop3 type email.

To use the proprietary RIM Push email capability, you must have an adequate data plan from your carrier. The carriers host BIS for their BB users. Typically, BIS is not available via generic data plans. Many carriers call what is necessary The Blackberry Data Plan. Whatever they call it, it is the carrier who delivers BIS to their BB users -- contact them for assistance. Once you have a BIS-capable data plan on your BB (at whatever fees your carrier will charge, btw), you will then have Personal Email added to the email setup wizard.
