Email forwarding on ML Server

One of my clients wants to forward a specific email account to himself . I set the forwarding option in the user's email settings in the User panel in ML Server's Server application; however, nothing is being forwarded. Is this feature broken in the Server.app interface? Is there another way of setting it?
Thanks,
Des

Make sure the client's domain is listed under "Provide Mail For" in the Mail section of Server.app, then it should work.

  • Email forwarding in Yosemite Server

    Hello,
I am having some serious issues with google classifying mail that I send to gmail users as spam. I was able successfully to remove my domains from google's block list when sending directly to a gmail user by implementing SPF and DKIM. However, any mail forwarded to gmail users is still being blocked and I am worried that all of my mail will soon get blocked as well.
If anyone has any tips on how to avoid forwarded messages being classified as spam by google, I would be grateful.
    Things I have done/tried:
Implement SPF and DKIM for each domain on my server
    Contact google
Stop forwarding by addresses know to receive lots of messages
    Turned on Blacklist filtering
One thing I am not sure about is whether forwarded emails are signed by my server. I assume they are but if that is the case, I am not sure why directly sending to gmail clients works and forwarding does not.

Everything that I describe above is necessary to attempt when you are having this problem. But I did not do anything more and eventually google did stop blocking our email. Needless to say it may take some time—like a week or more. My best advice, apart from the above, is to try and avoid forwarding until you stop seeing rejected messages of any kind. Oddly, for us blocked messages were account specific for a time before the rejections stopped completely. Anyway, at that point you should start trying to forward and see if you get any rejections.

  • Config OES/sendmail to forward email from/to Exchange Server

    Hi
I have installed an OES on a Red Hat ES 3.
But on my network i have a Exchange Server that send/receive all emails. And i cannot change here nothing(company rules). Now what i need to do? I need to config the Linux sendmail to relay on the Exchange Server(the exchange is now configured relay on Linux) to forward the emails that i need.
I only need this to one email account e.g [email protected] The Oracle Email Server is running, but i need to config the Linux to forward the email to the Exchange Server, and go to outside. Also i need that receiving an email to [email protected] that my Linux receive this email from the Exchange Server.
I have configured the sendmail.cf like Oracle says on the Administrator’s Guide manual. I have add the ip and name of the Exchange on /etc/mail/access to relay. But still i cant send emails outside. If i test the sendmail -v testuser, and all says ok. I have tested telnet domain 25, and all went ok.
I think the only problem is forward the oes to exchange to forward outside
    Any help
    Many thanks
    Thank you
    Jail

    Hi andreas
Yes i also think that it maybe resolved by an alias and forwarding
Th COM is the domain in the OES is the com default. Is this domain that you referring?
The company domain that is in the OES(e.g xpto.com) is the same that is in the Exchange. Do you think this will be a problem? Must i create one like oes.xpto.com? To work with the OES?
I have created a relay on the access file, but is this ok? Or must i need change anything else? Mean while i will check that url
And yes i can connect to the Exchange on port 25 from the RH
Since i have several user/account created on the OES, the only think that i did not understand yet is how can they receive any email?
The fax@domain was a example. But i can collect all outside emails from that account and with some rules forward to any other OES account? I think this is possible? Or this is the hard way to configure the OES?
    Thank You
    Jail

  • How do I set the "reply to" field in the iPad 2 Mail app?  I use an email forwarding service (not an actual email account) that I would like people to reply to.

How do I set the "reply to" field in the iPad 2 Mail app?  I use an email forwarding service (not an actual email account) that I would like people to reply to, so setting up an account with the correct reply-to address doesn't work because there's no associated outgoing mail server.  I had this working under iOS4 but it seems to have disappeared when I upgraded to iOS5.

Welcome to the forum, NicoleYM. I don't think the Touch Mail has as many options as the Mac Mail app. However, you could set a standard signature. Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Signature. There you can type a reply address and hope people see it.
Alternatively, you can go to your GMail account in your web browser and click on Settings > Forwarding and POP/IMAP. There you will have an option to forward all emails (or only some, if you set up a filter) to your other address.
    Good luck!

  • How do I tell Firefox to leave email messages on the server when my Tools Options doesn't show Account Settings?

I am trying to get my emails forwarded to my Blackberry. I have set up my Blackberry with the new email destination, which Blackberry confirmed. I receive the emails are not being forwarded to my phone. When I consulted Blackberry's help, it said that I needed to go into my server setting and select the option to leave email messages on the server. I work in Firefox, and when I look under Tools, there is no option to do this.

Firefox doesn't do email, it's a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access web mail, you need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.
If your problem is with Thunderbird, see this forum for support.

  • How to move all emails from mailbox to an external email account in Exchange Server 2007?

I have a user who is leaving the university in a few days. The user would like to forward all of their old emails from their mailbox to their G-mail account. Will setting up email forwarding forward all of the old emails to the G-mail account or just the
new emails that are received after setting up email forwarding? If forwarding isn't the correct solution; then what is? We are running Exchange Server 2007.

No, as you've suspected the forwarding will only affect new messages coming into the mailbox, not existing ones. Additionally, if you did get all existing messages to forward to another account (you could probably do it by creating a rule in Outlook) then
the gmail account would show every single one of them as arriving now, and lose their existing send date.
Probably a better option would be to export the mailbox to .pst, and then assuming the user has their gmail account configured in Outlook somewhere as something other than POP3 they can then open the .pst file on their machine and copy the messages over
to their gmail account, which I think would also preserve the original information.
You could do that via the server using Export-Mailbox as described here
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/bb266964(v=exchg.80).aspx (note it has to be run from a 32-bit OS with the Exchange Management tools installed), or the user could just as easily do it themselves from within Outlook using the Export option.

  • EMAIL forwarding details.

Hi. how can we get detail about from which date/time email forwarding is enabled for a user in exchange 2007 server.

Thank you, appreciate your quick response. If you find anything related to this at any point of time, kindly update me. As its very imp issue to me. :)
Not in Exchange 2007. Exchange 2010 has Admin Audit Log that keeps the track of anything changed in last 90 days by default when Exchange is installed...

  • Company Email Forwarding Help

    Hi,
our company has our domain bought through 123-reg.co.uk, which has given me an email address of [email protected]
All our emails are forwarded through gmx.co.uk.
I have setup my email account on my iphone as follows:
    Name: me
    address:[email protected]
    username:[email protected]
    incoming mail server:pop.gmx.com
    outgoing mail server:smtp.gmx.com
i am recieving all my emails to [email protected] with no problems.
when I go to send an email I get the following error message: 'Cannot send mail - The sender address was invalid'.
would anyone have any idea what the problem is?
these seem to be the same settings that I use on my outlook and I did use on my blackberry.

Its possible that GMX do not like you sending out emails with the 'from' address not being one of their addresses. It would appear to some systems that you are faking the response address like spammers do to disguise the sender. Ss GMX is a free service, its pretty likely.
Or a whole host of other reasons I guess.
    Have you asked GMX ?
And why not just send the emails direct from your company website hosted facilities ? If you have www.blahblah.co.uk then you should have a mails ever you can use for outgoing mail rather than forwarding everythng to GMX ?

  • Outgoing Email Delay with Lion Server

    Hi;
I have setup my domain and greylisting disabled in /etc/postfix/main.cf.
It seems that I have 3 messages sitting in the mail queue which cannot be delivered due to being delayed for whatever reason.
I can send email to myself and it's instant.
I am attempting to email to a friend on Rogers Yahoo and Gmail.  It seems that when I try to connect to the MX for each I timeout for some reason.
Any ideas on what could be wrong?  I am assuming that since I cannot connect to the MX for those systems that's why it's delayed.
From what I can see, my server is trying to connect to port 25 on the remote system - as far as I know, those ports are off on Yahoo and GMail.  How can I force it to send to port 587 instead?
    My Server Firewall = Off.

I have same problem with Apple Mail at ATT as ISP. I used the program ATTYahoo!EmailSetup from their website. Now I can rarely send any email, from my work email or from my MobileMe email. I seems like that program messed up the entire Apple Mail client so it can no longer send mail. Emails I try to send just sit the in Outbox. Does anyone have a solution?

  • Email Forwarding on an on-prem mailbox to Office 365 mailbox

    Hi All,
I need to put forwarding in place on a user's mailbox which is now on our on-prem Exchange 2013 server (we have hybrid deployment). I need to deliver to mailbox and forward to another user's mailbox of which is in Office 365. (The user has left and we move
mailboxes back to our on-prem Exchange when users leave).
I used to be able to do this when we had Exchange 2010 on prem via EMC, but don't seem to be able to do this via EAC on Exchange 2013. If I go to mailbox features on the mailbox I want to put the forwarding on, and then mail flow, and then browse to select
the receipient - it doesn't show me recipients in Office 365.
Any help on how to correctly put forwarding on an on-prem mailbox to a mailbox in Office 365, would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Chris

    Hi
Just use the management shell as described here Configure
    email forwarding for a mailbox
Set-Mailbox -Identity "OnPrem mailbox" -ForwardingSMTPAddress "Office 365 mailbox"
That works for forwardings from onprem to Office 365
    Hope that helps.

You cannot disable this function, without changing the javascript code. Please refer to the "webmail customization guide" for all the guidance that I'm able to offer you.

  • ***BE AWARE****   .mac email forwarding fraud

    Hi all,
Firstly can I say that I am not a techy type guru person - and apologies if this or something similar has already been posted but I wanted to make as many people as possible aware of this occurence.
On Wednesday I didnt receive any email which was unusual, the same happened on Thursday (yesteday), which was highly starnge. When I looked into it through Applecare as i couldnt find anything wrong it was found that a third party had accessed my .mac account somehow and had set the email forwarding option to active and for the last three days all my emails had been forwarded to another email address - the validity of this address is currently being investigated by the police.
I however am still concerned as to how access was gained - I always thought my passwords were secure, and I have never replied to spam / phishing emails hence my concerns.
Please everybody be aware - and if for any unexpected reason you stop receiving emails check your preferences. I doubt that it is an Apple flaw, perhaps I have in error granted someone access somehow, but I just wanted as many people as possible to know.
    Regards
    DRS

    Thanks guys for the comments.
Unfortunately I dont know what the emails were that have been diverted so cant say what the content was. I am concerned about the access to my back up data on the server.
I am certain that the access has been gained via the .mac web server, and on reflection the only time I can think that I have logged onto a public computer was on holiday in May in Cyprus - it just seems to be a long time for them to start doing the scam - but I suppose they may have thousands of accounts to go on. The PC i used was in our hotel, but I always logged off and cleared the cache / history when i left - I am thinking that there is more to this and someone on the operating company may have some involvement.
    Anyway, lets see what develops.
    Thanks again

    Hello Sue,
I have an iPad 3, iPad Mini and iPhone 5S and they are all sluggish on capitalisation using shift keys. I hope that Apple will solve the problem because it is driving me crazy.
I find using a Microsoft Surface and Windows 8 phone, which I also have, work as well as all the ios devices before the ios 7 upgrade.
It has something to do with the length of time that you need to hold the shift key down. The shift key needs to be held longer than the letter key for the capitalisation to work. For some reason, this is a major change in the way we have learnt to touch type on computers. I am having to relearn how to type!

  • Can I search email archive on iCloud server from iOS device, or can I only search what it has downloaded locally?

Can I search email archive on iCloud server from iOS device, or can I only search what it has downloaded locally?
I currently have an iPhone and iPad, and am soon changing over to a Mac. When that happen I'd like to try to see what I can migrate over from the Google ecosystem to the iCloud ecosystem.
    1) Currently I have the Gmail iOS app (a webapp container) that can search server-side of several years of email archive.  Can iCloud do this using the iOS native mail application?  Or is the search just limited to what the device has downloaded locally?
    2) Do I have to use a @me.com address for the full iCloud email sync to take place between server, Mac, and iOS devices?
Believe it or not I've read quite a bit about the iCloud services, but the answers to these questions were far from clear.  Many thanks for the help.

    2)  iCloud only syncs email between .me/.mac addresses.  For other accounts like google, you set up the account in the mail app and if they're IMAP accounts, you can sync between the google server and any devices you have defined that account on.
I'm not absolutely sure about 1) since I haven't had to search going back years - I use MailSteward for that on the mac.  On my iPhone/iPad, when I go into a mailbox and the emails are not immediately available, it downloads them.  I suspect for a search, you need the emails downloaded.
