Email header printing on separate page

Not sure what I did, but now when I print an email, the header (to/From:) prints on the first page and then the main email prints from page 2 on.  I can not see where this can be changed.  They used to print together as they do on my other Macs.  Just this machine.

Having the same problem.. any progress?
I tried fixing fonts and repairing permissions, which I saw somewhere else, and it seemed to have fixed one, but still happening on others.

    Hi,
    I have some users that are having a problem with printing emails.
    On occasion, these users have emails that print the "header" on the first page, and the rest of the email starts on a new page. This does not occur all the time, but appears to be limited to 3 or 4 persons.
    The printers involved are different, the senders are different, and even the networks are different. There seems to be only the common thread that all have upgraded to Mavericks and this has only begun since upgrading to Mavericks.
    I have searched the forums and only find one reference to a solution suggesting a font issue, and even in that thread several contributors indicate the solution does not work for them. It is difficult to determine what search parameters should be used.
    Raw source comparisons of emails that do not print provide any common issues WRT font, character set, or source mail client.
    The systems are of various ages, with the prime one being Late 2012 iMac 27". This user has the greatest need to print copies of emails, so seems to be the most affected.
    Some users probably don't report the issue because it is intermittent.
    The Preview shows the email will print incorrectly, and an email that presents incorrectly will continue to do so. In other words, the issue is with a particular email and that email will continue to print incorrectly.
    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    I have run into this issue again, and this time fonts are not involved.
    I have posted the following on another thread.
    "I now have upgraded to Yosemite, and the issue still exists. (This time not font related)
    I have just analyzed the Raw Source of three emails, all of which were sent from the same source within three minutes.
    Every aspect of the raw source is the same in each of the three emails.
    However, one of the three prints the body of the message on the second page,  leaving only the header on the first. The other two emails print as expected.
    By transferring these three emails to another computer as attachments, I can also confirm that the issue still exists on that computer, therefore they are not computer or printer specific.
    The space you refer to appears to be created by some sort of spacing setup that Mail is inserting. Others have already noted that printing at a smaller percentage reduces the unwanted space, therefore it is not a "page break" per se"

    Dear all,
                  I have an ALV Report which display vendor account statement for all the vendors entered in selection screen.
    I want to take a print for all vendors but each  vendor statement should display on separate page. For new Vendor print should be taken on new page.
    e.g.

    For getting the vendor number page break you need to fill up the IT_SORT

  • Problem printing - objects printing on separate pages?

    I am using CS3 and creating/printing a number of registration forms. Most are printing just fine, but today I have two that are printing most objects on one page, and then all the checkboxes and one line segment on a separate page.
    Everything looks fine in illustrator
    I tried saving as PDF and then printing from illustrator -- still came out on two separate sheets
    When I saved as PDF and tried to open the PDF in Preview (to print from there, Preview crashed (multiple times)
    It doesn't have to do with layers -- objects that are printing on the first page are in the same layer as objects that are printing on the second page
    I've tried everything I can think of! Thanks in advance!

    Well, are you sure you are not simply exceeding the printers bleed/ crop areas? A single point/ pica/ micron of a single page element can trigger this. Apart from that, look for stray isolated elements with no fills or strokes, leftover isolated anchor points, excessively large clipping constructs and groups and similar...

  • Print Comments and Page Only

    Hi all
    I used to be able to print my comments on the same page with lines showing where those comments on the page, but only have those pages with comments be the ones that printed.
    Now when I try that feature, it prints out not only the pages with the comments, but all other pages as well which say "there are no comments on this page"
    I've tried all of the various options (print on separate pages, print comments only, etc.).
    Any thoughts?

    Hi oldstrings,
    You can change the print setting to print in grayscale(using black ink only).
    I have extracted out the printer setting tips for both windows and mac.

    For what it's worth, I can report exactly the same problem.  I just recently converted from Outlook for Mac 2011 to Mail.  I did the conversion while running Yosemite.  I like pretty much everything about Mail EXCEPT that it take 2 pages to print a 1 page email!!  The header appears on the top of p.1, followed by a blank space.  The message begins at the top of p.2.
    If you scale it down, you can get the message to begin to appear on the bottom of p.1, but clearly, Mail is inserting BIG SPACE between the header and the message.  Changing the display fonts for Mail had no apparent effect (except that the font DID change, of course)....still a BIG SPACE between the header and the message. 
    Coming to Mail for the first time, I would have assumed that this was just a quirk of Mail, but am I understanding that some of you Mail users out there USED TO NOT have this problem??  I think it's pretty clear that it's Mail that's causing the problem, not the message, because I went over to my old Outlook and printed the same couple of messages with no such space between the header and the message.  So Mail is inserting a space into the print formatted email message that is NOT there in Outlook's print formatted same message.
    Be really nice to get rid of this problem, but my Apple Care free support has expired.  Not sure I want to pay for something that's generic to Mail!!  Anyone else made any progress on this?

  • Suddenly, when I print a Selection from an email, it prints out about 10 blank pages and somewhere in there, the selection I wanted.

    I'm using Firefox 12 on Windows XP. Things worked fine until just this evening. Now when I choose Print/Selection in my email, it spits out multiple (like, maybe 10 or more) blank pages with just a header/footer on them. I've followed the instructions for reseting the Firefox printer setting AND Reseting all Firefox printer settings and it still does it. Everything prints fine in Internet Explorer. This printing issue is getting REALLY tedious. I don't want a complicated workaround, I just want to print a selection. NOW why isn't it working?

    Thanks, Cor-el, but that question addressed a problem I had with FF11 (that was only fixed when FF12 came out). FF12 worked fine for printing selections from emails perfectly up until yesterday afternoon. Reboot didn't help, even after reboot when I preview what I want to print (thank goodness for that option, or I'd be going through a lot of paper) it's still showing the page of text I actually want to print, then 6-8 blank pages afterward. This is not happening with every email, I have noticed ths morning. It now happens with email sent from (or to, as a reply) a yahoo account in Sweden and email sent from (or in reply to) a gmail account in Canada. These previously printed fine. Other emails will print maybe one extra page. There seems to be no rhyme or reason why it would suddenly start doing this. Should I look at the source code? What would I be looking for?

    Firefox cuts off the URL in your printout, if it's really long, and you also have on the same line (header or footer), the Date and Pages

    I have two questions:
    To fix, do a custom setting, for the Header and Footer as follows:
    Print / Page Setup / Margins & Header/Footer / "Customize" the "Left" as follows (leave Center and Right all blank)

    &D shows the Short date as: M/d/yyyy - and then the time
    To change the format of the Short date in Win 8.1, go to:
    Control Panel / Date and Time / Date and Time tab / Change date and time / Change calendar settings /
    Date / Short date . . . change from M/d/yyyy . . . to . . . MM/dd/yy
    QUESTIONS:
    1.) How do you get rid of the time, which appears after the date? In IE, you use a lowercase "d" - but that doesn't work here.
    2.) Is there a way to change the font just for the Header and Footer, to something like Microsoft Sans Serif 10?
    Firefox leaves no room around the text in the Header and Footer at the edge. To fix:
    Address Bar / about:config
    Enter keyword "edge"
    Then change all four values for the printer you're using to:
    print.printer_Foxit_PhantomPDF_Printer.print_edge_bottom . . . 5
    print.printer_Foxit_PhantomPDF_Printer.print_edge_left . . . 10

  • I'm trying to print multiple frames from a website onto separate pages.

    Firefox has this option on OSX (each frame on separate page), but safari seems to lack such an option.
    I need to print multiple frames (invoices from zencart) each on separate pages. When I try to print with Safari it will either try and print the selected frame, or it will print all the frames as it's laid out on the page (all printed on one page). Am I missing this option somewhere? Is there an extension I can try (already tried print plus to no avail)?

    Google show that you have to cut what you want to print and then paste it into a new app and print from that app.

  • Header window tiotle not printing on next page

    Hi !
    I have aa form in which I have a header table created inside the main window to print the titles of the line items, unit , unti price , Qty and totals. The next page has the similar format with the headerr table inside the main window, but unfortunately the header titles from the header title prints on the first page and when there are more items and the items are carried over to next page the titles dosent print on next page. Could nayone please tell me why the titles wouldnt be printing on the next page when the format is the same on teh next page also and it does have the texts to print there . Only the items are printing and not its titles.

    Thanks for your reply. We are anyways getting the header in the first page its that I am not getting the header titles on second page and folowing pages only. I do have a next page in my smartforms and as per teh design both the pages has the header wondow but still it dosent print on second page but prints on first page. What I ahve done is created an extra window on my next page and created temp[late under that with the header titles and this prints it oin the second page now.

    Something changed on your system, possibly when Google Chrome installed. It could  be many things, but what it boils down to, is it needs to go back to the way it was. Either by removing whatever else might still be left from the install, or maybe by reinstalling the printer itself.

  • Returned from a 2 week vacation and emails were printing at 40%, changed scale to 100% now header and 1st part of email are not printing.

    This seems to be happening on emails I send or ones I get from my friends, all "commercial" emails seem to be OK. I tried changing the margins but that did not work. All other print functions, from Word or Excel are working fine, it's only Thunderbird email. If it is a short one or two line email, the printer spits out a blank page.

    So long as your movies are in a compatble format and in the video app they will play just fine.
    Other apps will work, some might require mirroring, which is why it's best to use the in supplied video app.
