Email I just sent is gone and did not send!!!

Just spent a half-hour typing an email on my iphone and after hitting the send button I never here the usual swoosh sound of my email being sent. So I look in the sent folder and nothing is there.
This same thing has happened to me a couple times over the past few weeks.
Why would an email just vanish when you hit send??
Anyone else experience this?
Any ideas on how to avoid this?

Since I installed the latest version of the software I have also had this problem. It doesn't seem to matter if I am using a WiFi connection, or cellphone service.
The messages do not go into the outbox, and the connecting message remains at the bottom of the screen. It is intermittant, I sent 4 messages then an hour or so later a couple more, the first 4 were sent, the next couple didn't.
I have been using my own domain email address and Gmail as the SMTP server. Initially I thought it was because "Push" was On and Gmail doesn't support push, but that has not made a difference.

I know, I always do that but I was in a rush to get somewhere and I was relying on my thousand dollar Mac to do some kind of recovery or something. I know Microsoft always keeps temporary files (I think Mac does too, part of me asking here in this forum was for someone to tell me where I can find those files) and when you go to open Office Works then it gives you the option of opening the last recent documents, saved or not saved.
I usually copy paste into my emial just in case something goes wrong with the created document but I just didn't have the time to login and do all that My loss, you live and you learn, BUT still if ANYONE got any info on this, PLEASE DO CHIME IN *keeping the hope alive*

Look in your Sent folder to retrieve the message you actually sent and see to whom it was addressed.

Connect the HDD to your MBP. Open Disk Utility>Erase and drag the HDD icon inrt the Name field. The format should be Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Click on the Erase button.
Then try the clone process again. You may use Disk Utility>Restore or a third party cloning application such as Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper.

This may sound stupid, but I'm gonna throw it out there anyway. Is it possible, that if I have enough junk on my desktop it might disrupt the signal? It seems odd, but it kind of looks like my signal is strong and relatively steady now that I've cleaned my desktop. I do tend to get very cluttered. I use a lot of reference images and save text clippings to use later... it just piles up very quickly.
So, I wonder if all that extra effort my system has to do keeping up with the junk might have something to do with the drop outs?

Apple IDs use a email address and a password you create for that email address on Apples website.
There should be a link on whatever page you are on to Create an Apple ID. Click that link.

Absolutely not. You can create a blank password. Yes it's stupid. Yes it's unsafe. But from helping people with their Macs, I find most do not set up a password. <facepalm>

I've been trying all day to change my email address associated with my Adobe account, using Firefox, my default browser. I am able to access my acct (old e-address), make changes in account, but then the screen displays:
Required Password Reset: To protect the security of your account, you must reset your password. Please check your inbox for an email we just sent you with instructions for how to reset your password and log into your account.
I have checked both email accts throughout the day, including spam folders. Cleared browser history etc. Tried using Internet Explorer. And every other action they recommend.
How can I get through the Password Reset Wall?

Thanks, Dave. I think your link helped to solve my problem. Now that I have a new password, I'd like to ask this: Is making changes to your account so difficult for others? I ask because changing my password wasn't even the reason I was accessing my Adobe account.
What I really want to do is to switch primary (1) and alternate (2) email addresses. I have a third (3) email address, which I can use for this process. For example, my idea is to replace (2) with (3), then (1) with (2), then (3) with (1). [I had already tried switching them; a lost cause.]
I replaced (2) with (3). BUT! "An email has been sent to your inbox. Please check your email to complete verification."
But I check all three email addresses and spam folders in each, several (m@any) times in a day, and that email never arrives. Even when I try making a different change.
And all this so that I can prepare to purchase Adobe XI and have all communication between Adobe and me at that (currently) #2 address, which is the one I use for almost everything, and to keep all my receipts, software and hardware correspondence, and oh everything.

My iPad sent email I did not write and send. "Something" composed a email and sent it to two people in my address book. I found out as one of the emails was sent to a closed account and then returned it to me as undeliverable. I know I did not send the email which contained a link to Canadian pharmacy.

Please let me know what exactly are you trying to do using Adobe online service.
You might try accessing the same service for some other PDFs and check.
Have you signed up correctly at "https://cloud.acrobat.com/" using your Adobe ID credentials.
If the same message pops up, then please visit Contact Customer Care as they could let you know if there is any problem with your account.

If the battery was empty (and it may then take 10 to 15 minutes of charging before it will respond), then have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.

Delete the email. The zip file will have no effect on your iPhone.

If you purchased AppleCare+ it not only extends your warranty an extra year but it also now covers up to two accidental damages (water damage included). Now every scenario is different when you're talking phone damages so it's best to set up a reservation with the Genius Bar if something happens and they'll assess the damage. Either way, as long as you're covered with AppleCare you'll receive a deductible price on parts. Certain instances you may not have to pay anything which are usually things like faulty software, faulty buttons, etc.
