Email Icon and application missing

I seem to be missing my email icon as well as the entire application....don't know what happened to it but cannot send or recieve email anymore....any help will be appreciated.

You need to download the 10.5.8 combo updater, then software update just in case anything is missing.   It doesn't matter if it is over the top of a previous similar download.    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3606.

  • HT5361 I click on my email icon and the mail menu comes up on the top of the page but I don't see any of my folders/emails on the main screen. I have a macbook air.

I click on the email icon and the mail menu comes up on top of the screen but no emails/folders appear on the rest of the screen?

That depends on what type of email system you use, but you dod not give that information.

  • Email icon and issues

When I try to use my IPAD email icon the screen appears and the goes away. I have tried the minus sign solution an reset, still won't work?

Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.

I downloaded OS X 10.9.5 and when I attempt to load the program from OS X 10.7.5 I click on the install icon and nothing happens. How do I install the upgrade? Can I upgrade from Lion to Mavericks? Here are my specs:
Sounds like you downloaded the OS X Mavericks 10.9.5 Update or Combo Update. Neither will work on a version of OS X prior to OS X Mavericks. Those are only used to update an existing install of OS X Mavericks. The Combo will update any version from 10.9.0 thru 10.9.4. The Update will only update version 10.9.4.
You need the full installer of OS X Mavericks from the App Store. However, the App Store no longer offers OS X Mavericks. Yosemite is the new FREE OS X.

  • Email Icon and Email Address

On one site I have several pages.
I would like to use the email icon to link to my email.
However - I need on 2 pages (same site) the email icon linked to a different address. How can I do this?

Overlay a shape over the email button, bring it to front most, set opacity to 1% then link it to the second email address.

  • Uncaught error java nullpoint exception, email icons disappeared, application loader unable to back up data, desktop manager unable to connect

    Model:  Curve 8900
    Provider: At&t
    Platform: 4.2.0.108
I'm ready to throw this phone in the blender.... if I could only back up my data first. A couple of months ago the What's App application required an update. I updated it and ever since my phone has steadily had more and more issues. First, I kept getting this uncaught error message, shortly thereafter the 2 email accounts (both gmail) that I have linked to the account disappeared. The message icon shows that I have messages, but icons not there (I have tried the show all option). At one point the message icon started exponentially adding the number of messages until it got up to over 86,000. When I reboot the phone it goes back down and then steadily increases again... usually though it's more to 400 - 500 rather then tens of thousands. I have been trying to install updates and do a wipe of the BB so that I can start from scratch, unfortunately the application loader is unable to back up data. The desktop manager is unable to connect to the blackberry and indicates that an upgrade is required. I have tried doing the upgrade both directly from the phone and connected to the desktop manager, but nothing seems to work. If I try to upgrade the software directly from the BB, I get to the start download button and when I click, nothing happens. I have removed all applications except bberry app world and one game that I play, Pixelated Plus. Still nothing. Any ideas?

Do you want to save the messages?
If not (and I think they are the problem) open the Desktop Software > Device > Delete Data and click the "select Data" option. Select the Messages to remove. Complete the prompts and finish.
Then, return to backup the entire device, and see if that is possible to complete this time with no messages.
Now, once the back up is done and you have your data, you can disconnect the device.
Now, use BBSAK to wipe the device and subsequently load the new operating system.
**If you cannot complete the backup again above, you might have to do without it, OR you can use the Desktop Software to sync your Address book, calendar, memos and tasks to Outlook. OR, you can easily install and use BlackBerry Protect to backup your device over the air to RIM servers, then once wiped and the new OS reloaded, you can use Protect to restore the data back to the 8900. << This you should do regardless.
Good luck, post back here as you have questions.

  • Icon and data missing in SportsTracker

I installed SportsTracker v1.49 on the memory card of my E61i. The application installed normally, but the icon in the Installed folder is not displayed and only titles are displayed in the running application. None of the data, like time or distance, is displayed.
    Ideas?

    Hi paulsp
You could try un-installing and installing application on phone memory as quite small in size and see if makes any difference. As beta software it may just be a glitch!Message Edited by scoobyman on 27-Jul-200712:16 PM

  • Mail, extra large email icons,  and JAVA machine

In email from Vircom, my anti-spam/virus filter provided by my ISP (surfnetc.com), that lists/quarantines potential spam and virus emails, some of the icons used to indicate spam type display Very Large and distort the whole message (not all of them and not a particular one consistently). I questioned Vircom, who referred me back to my ISP, who just told me "it's a problem with Leopard OS, has to do with how their JAVA machine reads html... if anyone can fix it, it is Apple." Has anyone else seen this problem? Is there a fix for it?

do you mean vircom as in a mail client you use on your mac, and are you not using Leopard Mail? if so, may I suggest you post your query under the "Use Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard" pages, as these pages are dedicated to the Leopard Mail.app
    hope this helps

  • Icons and functionality missing in Office for MAC

Hi, just wanted to see if anyone has seen or heard of this issue and if they may have a solution.
First in office in the project gallery its missing the notebook icon. In Entourage its missing the mail, address book, notes, calendar etc. icon, unless you put the pointer over where the icon is suppose to be, then it appears.
For the functionality, there is no arrow next to the inbox in Entourage to collapse all the subfolders.
    Any answers?

Thank you for the links! I found another forum, and the problem is only apparent in the recent Mac edition in combination with Office for Mac (2006); a lot of users have the same problem and instead of the easy "copy and drag and paste"-method, we have to take the extra step of first dragging the pictures to a file, and then inserting it in the word document or the powerpoint.
I found a lot of reactions on several discussion groups. I quote another Apple- answer below:
    Hi Dale,
The quick answer is to not paste pictures into PowerPoint. Instead, use
Insert > Picture > From File using the menus or click the Insert Picture
    button on the Drawing toolbar.

  • The icons and applications on the screen open and close without touching the screen. Suggestions please?

The the applications and links open as if somebody is browsing. I can't open a page and remain in it for more than one minute. I did reset but no improvement.

The UI 200% box should be unchecked by default, but may be someone else has used your computer?
(and UI stands for User Interface)
As for your LR crashing, there are a couple of things you could try.
    1. Restart your computer, and do not launch any programs. Sign out of the CC desktop app, then sign in. Now try running LR.
See also Lightroom doesn't launch or closes automatically after splash screen
    2. If this doesn't help, go to Preferences > Performance, and uncheck Use Graphics Processor.
If this helps, update your graphics driver: Update the graphics driver | Windows 8, 7, Vista
Now try turning the Graphics Processor back on. If you still get crashes, just leave it off.
If neither of these solutions work, please post in the Lightroom forum - Photoshop Lightroom
    Good luck!

  • Email icon and function disappears 3 seconds after opening a PDF in Acrobat 8.

Using Adobe Acrobat 8 with updates applied, when opening .pdf files the email function disappears 3 seconds after the file opens.  I have had this program in my PC for years, and this functionality worked up until last week when it disappeared.
I have been informed that this program is no longer supported by telephone, and that I need to upgrade to gain access to support.
I have reinstalled the program and the problem persists.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hi Jason,
I would recommend you to do a selected startup and then enable the programs one by one to isolate which program might be causing this.
Please refer the KB: Restart Windows in a modified mode | Windows 7, Vista for selective startup of Windows.

  • Finder icons and menubar missing

I think my Finder has become damaged and I don't know how to repair it.
I was attempting to install the software updates this am 5-1-08 (I was updating both Quicktime and Safari). The installer hung while trying to find my Safari. I did a force quit on software update.
I restarted the Mac and now I have a Finder problem that I can't resolve.
(I have also had to go through several hard shutdowns also.)
    Here's the symptom:
Upon reboot the Finder desktop shows up with menubar and icons for about 5 seconds. Then everything but the desktop image disappears for about 10 sec.. Then the Finder reappears for 5 seconds and then disappears, never to come back. If I use Force Quit to try to relaunch the Finder, the Finder does not show up in the Force Quit window.
Where the Finder should be I just have an empty screen with my usual screensaver images showing. No Finder menubar. No Finder desktop icons.
I have done a Safe Boot and repaired permissions on my internal HD.
I can access some apps via my dock, such as Text Edit and Safari, which I'm using now. But other apps won't open (such as Eudora.) I would like to avoid a complete archive and reinstall if there is a better, simpler, less drastic solution. If it comes to a reinstall, what should I know to avoid creating the same problem if I need to use Software Update?
Thank you very much for any help!

  • Had to reformat and applications missing?

So i have the 15" macbook pro with core duo. I went to upgrade to leopard today and got an error saying that it could not upgrade, so i figure i don't have anything too important so i might as well just wipe the drive and start over with leopard. The main thing i noticed is that GarageBand was GONE! It isn't super important but was frequently used. Is there any way to get it back without going out and buying a new copy (i had it in the first place because it came installed when i first bought this laptop).

Leopard 10.5 is only the OS. It does not include iLife (garageband, itunes, imovie, idvd, iweb). If you want those apps you have to install iLife.
All new computers come pre-installed with iLife.
You can re-install the iLife apps from your original disks that came with your laptop.

    Hello puma1552,
Are you referring to the *Do Not Disconnect* screen display while your iPod is plugged into and syncing with iTunes? Check out this Apple support document for its meaning and why you are receiving this icon. This icon always appears when you are syncing your iPod with iTunes. It's basically a warning message telling you that the iPod is currently in use and should not be removed.
