Email in Landscape?

Landscape allows you to get a much bigger and easier to use keyboard, like in Safari. I use the keyboard most in email, where I cannot use landscape. Why can't we have the ability to view email in landscape and have the bigger keyboard? This would be nice to see in later builds, making email much more user friendly and functional. (Copy/Paste is also a must for future versions.)

Change layout for text email to landscape instead of potrait

I success send the text report to email. But how can I change layout for my text email to landscape instead of potrait. I am using FM SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 to send an emails.

I believe it is restricted by the length of the line which is about 70 characters or something like that. so there is no portrait or landscape option.
I put my form instead of text in the printspool convert that to a pdf file and send that as an attachment automaticaly to the recipient.

I just bought a new Apple iPhone 3G. I am very happy with the functionality of the phone with one BIG exception.
That is the fact that the wider Landscape orientation of the Keyboard is only available while using the Safari and not on the Notes, Email or Text Messaging applications!
WHY would this be? The larger keys and the slightly larger space between the keys in the Landscape orientation makes all the difference in the world in the ease and accuracy of typing on this virtual keyboard.
The phone clearly has the ability to change from Protrait to Landscape with the built in accelerometer.
For younger users and/or those with more agility and smalle fingers, the Portrait orientation of the keyboard probably is not a problem for them.
But, I am a Senior Citizen with big, fat and shaky fingers and I can just about type properly in Landscape. In Portrait, I hit the "Back" arrow button about as often as every key! This is VERY frustrating when I cannot think of ANY reason whatsoever for Apple to leave the iPhone with this clear deficiency.
If the Software Developers at Apple think that Portrait orientation is appropriate for some apps and not for others....fine! But, just give us an optional setting so that we can choose which is best for us to select depending upon the application we are typing in ....Portrait or Landscape...then EVERYONE will be happy!!!!
PLEASE make this simple and obvious change in your next Firmware Update for your otherwise wonderful product!

I have read many comments on this and other issues and the same refrain is repeated over and over again:
"APPLE JUST DOESN'T CARE WHAT THIER CUSTOMERS WANT OR DON'T WANT IN A PRODUCT...THEY WILL GIVE US WHAT THEY THINK WE WANT AND THAT IS THAT!"
I have to believe that if enough iPhone buyers and potential buyers wrote to the Feedback site with the same issue that they would at least CONSIDER making this simple and obvious enhancement!

I understand your emails are printing in landscape. If the issue is only when printing emails, there may be a setting within your email settings to change the print settings.
If all of your programs are printing in landscape, check the print settings on your computer.

How to enter full screen mode in email?

Can we enter full screen mode when reading an email in landscape mode? I can see safari has already provide this feature. It is really useful for reading wide pages using iPhone 5 with a longer screen. But I don't know how to use this feature for email. In landscape mode, there are 2 email menus plus the system bar, which occupy too many screen. Any idea on how to enter full screen mode?

Pix emailed from iPhone come through on their sides

When I select/email pix from my iPhone, all the "portrait" pictures come through in the recipients' email in "landscape" (on their sides!) mode and visa versa.... When I look at the "sent" pictures on my iPhone, they are oriented correctly... but if I actually email to myself I can see this strange anomaly.... How can I fix this?

The iPhone stores correct picture orientation in the EXIF data stored with each picture. Unfortunately, many programs used to view the pictures when sent by email can't read the data correctly to honor the EXIF rotation data, thus displaying the pictures incorrectly. The real fix is for the software developers of the programs involved to update their programs.

Landscape typing not quite there?

As I continue to get accustomed to this new update to 3.0 I am noticing some things that could be improved. Today I viewed a voicemail and tapped the arrow to the right of it for more detials then saw there was a share contact option there. Tapped the option to share and it opened a new window for an email. I turned the iPhone so I could type the email in landscape mode and no dice. Looks like when you are sharing contact info you will have to type it the old school way.

Works fine for me. Shouldn't matter how you go there, as it is still the same email app thus the same code. It isn't a special screen or app.

Locking Landscape Mode

2. I'm old and my fingers are stubby, it is much easier for me to see and type in Landscape mode.
Is there any way at this point "OR" an app that will lock messaging and email in landscape mode?

You can't lock landscape mode (or portrait for that matter). You just have to hold it in that position for it to stay landscape. I too wish we had the option to lock in either mode. We can post feedback here... http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

IPhone 6 ios8x mail landscape errors

EEvery time I type an email in landscape mode on my iphone6 with iOS 8.x my text disappears
oonly when I tilt my phone back again I see the text but as soon as I tilt back again
to landscape mode half of it is gone and this is getting pretty annoying.
is there anyway to fix this. I have tried everything nothing works, as far as I know

Same issue here. Just did the download now I'll hit the alpha key on the screen and it does not register. Only happens in landscape mode. Only tried it on imessage and SMS, did not try email yet.

Email text size suddenly very small, uncontrolled font change

Without warning, the text of incoming emails is suddenly very small. The body of text is crowded into the left side of the screen. And, old emails in the inbox are exhibiting the same behavior. If you double tap the text, it resizes to fill the screen, but you shouldn't have to double tap every message to get it to read properly. I have tried accessibility function and increased the font size, but that has not helped. Reading email in landscape helps. I recently turned on iCloud but then turned it off with respect to emails. Cannot figure out why this is suddenly happening. Help.

Try quitting Mail.
Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the Mail app until it wiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal. Then restart the app and see if it works normally.

Swype in lanscape mode error writing emails

I can use swype in landscape mode on texts.... But once i try to write an email the landscape mode gives me a force close error.. anyone else? All of this since the update. So wishing that update never was done!

I understand you are having an issue with using swype in landscape mode and I would like to advise you to perform a hard reset on your device.
Performing a hard reset will remove ALLdata including the Google account, system data, application data, application settings, and downloaded applications.
1. From the home screen, touch the applications tab(located at the bottom of the display).
2. Touch Settings.
3. Touch Privacy.
4. Touch Factory Data Reset.
5. Touch Reset Phone.
If presented, enter the current passcode or draw the unlock pattern.
6. Touch Erase Everything.

Give us Games Please!

I know, submit a feedback form. But I just wanted to vent. I see all the cool games itunes has and just think it would be great if they would give us just a few games to be able to play. Just a few! LOL! Well, hope you guys know you are missing out on more money, more business, if you would just give us games for our ipod touch!
BTW, anyone hear anything about any updates for us? Just wondering if they have taken any of our feedback to heart. I'd love to be able to buy movies and not just rent them. Wish I could buy the movies while using my touch also. Just like buying music. I wish I could view my email in landscape mode. I wish I wish I wish.

THere is a SDK software dev kit being given out to developers later this month. There might be games after its released.No one knows when updates are made or what might be released by apple. No one here works for apple. Regarding movies thee are many movies to buy the rented movies are not.

How delete iTunes u Downloads

I down loaded a few files in iTunes u and there is there a way to delete the files

When you have selected the Podcast heading so you see the individual episodes, swipe across the episode name and a red Delete button appears allowing you to delete it. This is similar to deleting individual emails in Landscape view.
Testing, it doesn't matter if you swipe left to right or right to left.

Screen rotation does not work

i am having a problem where i send a text the screen does not rotate so i can text or email in landscape the only option i have is to turn the phone off and on again any help out there guys?
