Email in Settings

How do I customize my email in "My Settings?" I've since changed emails, and there seems to be no way to change it in my account

Hi,
I'm trying to change my email address. I went to to <http://www.apple.com/contact/myinfo> and changed the primary email, but am still registered with my Apple ID email ([email protected]).
It seems the Apple ID has to be changed to the new address, but when I click 'change' and enter the new email I get an error message saying that my username is incorrect.
Can you tell me how to change it?
Thanks,
Andrew

i cant change my email under settings on my ipod touch it wont even let me click on it any ideas?

To get reid of the Restrictions passcoe you have to restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod.  You should do that anyway since the apps and music (if any) on the iPod do not belong to you.  They did not transfer with the purchase of the iPod hardware.

  • How do I sync my non-apple email account settings (5 email addresses) with my ipad air using OS X Mavericks?

I recently acquired a new iPad air (first time ipad user) and while I am quite happy with icloud, I seem to be unable to sync all of my remaining email account settings (automatically) with apple mail under OS X Mavericks.
I simply want to use all of my email accounts, which are setup in Mail (on my imac) with my iPad without having to add them manually to my iPad. This used to be no problem with all previous versions of OS X. Email account settings could be synchronized using the respective tool located within the info tap in itunes.
    Are there any solutions?
Do I really have to add each and every email account now separately to all of my idevices???
    This is ridiculous!!!

Unfortunately there seems to be no practical solution. You will have to go through the hassle of setting up your accounts manually.
Strange enough though, when setting up my new macbook (clean install, no data migration) all e-mail accounts where setup automatically through icloud (yes, even my non-apple accounts).
I guess and this is a rough guess that this is supposed to work with all other idevices too.

  • Server Monitor Email Notification settings

    Ciao!
Email notification settings in Server Monitor, how does this work and needs to be setup?
Do I have setup a email account in the Server to use this feature or do I just enter the following fields:
    From:
    To:
and the server does the rest, which I can't believe. :?
    Thanks for any help!

I believe the answer is yes: you do not need an email account set up for the notifications to be sent out, and they will come from whatever email domain you specify in the "From:" field.

  • Email Accounts settings is grayed out. What can I do?

    Hi,
The Email Accounts Settings has been grayed out. I cannot make any changes to my current email accounts, add new, or delete old email accounts. How can I ungray it?

In my case, no restrictions are enabled.  Accounts still grayed out.  I was forced to change my appleid password and now everything is dorked up.  I have gone everywhere I know to put in the new password.  It works on the phone and on my computers, but not on the iPad.

  • Accidentally restore old profile and have now lost emails and settings; where can I find them?

Whilst trying to save a profile, I accidentally restored an old one. Now I cannot access the emails and settings. Are they stored somewhere, or completely deleted when restoring a profile?

When you replace one file with another, what usually happens when an old profile is restored (especially when the accounts are the same). Then you have replaced your mail with another version. You olny option are your personal backups, Thunderbird does not store any information in "the cloud"

    Did you know the servers have changed;
SBC Yahoo Email & News Server Info
To set up your email client (not webmail) to use the newest "New and Improved" secure access:
    1. Open your email client program.
    2. Locate the email account settings for your particular client.
    3. Change or set the POP (incoming) server to
    inbound.att.net.
    4. Change the SMTP (outgoing) server to
    outbound.att.net.
    5. For inbound email, connect securely over the standard
    POP3 SSL
port: 995. Use username and password. Do not use "Secure Password
    Authentication".
    6. For outbound email, connect securely over the standard
    SMTP SSL
port: 465. Use the same credentials as for the inbound email.

  • Problem updating Email Server settings

I was able to update Email Server settings in one of my computer. When I tried my mobile devices (ipod and ipads) I was able to set the new outgoing setting, port, and SSL. Setting the incoming part I was able to change Port # and SSL but I couldn't set "pop.verizon.net " . I got an error message:"The POP server pop.verizon.net doesn't support Authenticated POP (APOP) authentication. Please check your account settings and try again. And of course, I couldn't get any e-mail. Thank you in advance!!

Thanks to dhutton I found out that APOP is not supported, do you have an option for clear text? If not please let us know what email client you are using. Welcome to the forum

  • Pop email server settings after latest IOS 7.0.3, 7.0.4 update

So, after IOS 7.0.3 update my phone email server settings for bellsouth.net would not work which they did previously...............I had to manually configure the settings as follows:
Pre IOS 7.0.3: (worked flawlessly prior to update)
pop.att.yahoo.com...............using port 995 with SSL checked
smtp.att.yahii.com...............using port 465 with SSL chekced
After IOS 7.0.3 update: (worked flawlessly, previous settings would not work)
inbound.att.net....................using port 995 with SSL checked
outbound.att.net..................using port 464 with SSL checked
After IOS 7.0.4 update.....Nothing has changed and neither of the settings work. Account has been deleted, and added back with automatic settings and both of the manual settings above to no avail. Any help is appreciated as it seems that server settings with IOS updates continue to be a revolving door.

  • Email sync settings

Apparently the email sync settings are no longer available in email settings.  I see illustrations with those settings available above "Notification settings", but they are not showing in my email settings.
I am running version ED2.  Were these settings removed (presumably erroneously) between ED1 and ED2?
The overall sync settings in available in "Accounts & sync" (accessible by menu from Home) do NOT prevent sync in the Email app

Whoops, apologies: I didn't know how to better word the question.
I'm aware that emails sync between devices using IMAP.
I'm asking if there is a way to sync the actual email account informations between my Mac and this new iPad? I'm speaking of the SMPT settings, the password, the email account, all of the settings that are required to set up an email account. Or, is this to be done manually? I get that once these settings are set up, all of the emails and folders, etc, will start to populate and sync. I'm referring to the setting up of the email accounts.

When I first started using my new imac, I made a mistake in the settings for using email. Now everytime that I want to use Safari, I have to enter my email address and password. On my laptop, that is automatically done every time for me.

  • Transfering Email Account Settings to IMail?

Is there an easy way to transfer "outlook 2007" Email Account settings to IMail? I have roughly 10 email accounts, and rather than putting them all in by hand, I would rather do it automatically if there is a way... I have MobileMe as well, if that helps...

    What's IMail?
There are some third-party outlook exporters that may work. Search MacUpdate or VersionTracker. Something like Outlook2Mac or O2M. I can't remember what it is called.
Another option is to use Thunderbird on the PC which I understand can be exported to a Mail readable format--that may just be the contacts, though.

  • Programmatically configure email instance settings

I am looking to configure the Email Instance Settings of our Production apex environment and am hoping this can be done programmatically to reduce the complexity of the pending release.
Is there an API, Procedure or Package I can call that will set the required values (Servername and Port) without having to unlock the builder, log into the INTERAL workspace and make the changes via the GUI?
    Thanks for any help.
    Duncs

    Hi Duncs,
you may have a look into the APEX Administration Guide concerning managing runtime environments, especially section "Configuring Email in a Runtime Environment".
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17556_01/doc/admin.40/e15521/adm_mg_service_set.htm#BEJBCEEH
The above link is for APEX 4.0. If you use an older version of APEX, use the corresponding document.

P.S.: I just found a little doc-bug. The documentation refers to
    BEGIN
       APEX_INSTANCE_ADMIN.GET_PARAMETER(PARAMETER_NAME, PARAMETER_VALUE);
END;where of the call should be
    BEGIN
       APEX_INSTANCE_ADMIN.SET_PARAMETER(PARAMETER_NAME, PARAMETER_VALUE);
    END;Parameters SMTP_FROM, SMTP_HOST_ADDRESS and SMTP_HOST_PORT appear to be correct.
