Email Inbox Missing!

When I try to open email, no messages older than today are in there since the first time messages were checked. They're all just....gone. Not in any other folder. Can I get them back?

I swear, I wish I could move that post button...
That is just a precautionary step.
Yes, you can set the number of days that the phone will sync mail. Go to your inbox, hit the menu button, select "more", scroll down to "labels", and you,like see "number of days to sync" at the top of that page. Check its setting. There's been a few times where I've seen a setting get changed for seemingly no reason.

Sent emails are missing from Thunderbird following migration from alternative email client and import of emails

All sent emails are missing from the Thunderbird 'Sent' folder following import, but Sent folder still shows a count of the imported emails (Thunderbird considered them to be unread when importing them, hence the count). The messages are also visible online (BT Internet email) and on other devices (Android running BlueMail). Settings are set to place copies of sent items into Sent folder. Having imported all my old email, I can send email but again they do not appear in the Sent folder (but do appear online and on other devices). I have tried compacting the Sent folder and i have tried repairing the folder. All other folders (Inbox, other newly created folders) show the email i have imported.
If I move an email online from the Sent folder to another test folder, it syncs and appears in Thunderbird in that test folder. If I then use Thunderbird to move the email back from that test folder to the Sent folder then Thunderbird will do so, but locks up for a good minute or so while doing that.
Running TB 24.6.0 on Windows 8.1, incoming server set to IMAP on mail.btinternet.com (port 993), outgoing server set to SMTP on mail.btinternet.com (port 465).

It did seem to recover some emails which had disappeared from Mail, but not all of them. That's the frustrating thing - short of going through my Yahoo webmail accounts and logging every single email, and then cross-referencing with what's on my desktop, I just can't be sure what's there and what's not!
Sometimes it's immediately clear that something is awry - the folder I use for emails from my girlfriend is completely empty, for instance, when I definitely had things in there before the weekend. (Yes, again I went away for the weekend, with the computer still running - and Mail on - and again I returned to discover emails missing.
Arrgh!

Old "sent emails" are MISSING

I've been using me.com since 2008, back then it was a paid service. When the time came, I switched to iCloud, no problem, I enjoy the service. Recently I need to find some sent emails during the period of mid-2011 then I realized that my "Sent" folder only records sent emails from May 2012 (which I think around the time I switched to iCloud, perhaps June 2012). Older emails are MISSING. I'm using Mail in my iMac but when I tried to login to www.me.com or www.icloud.com, and accessed my "Sent" folder, it's the same. Strangely enough, my emails in "Inbox" (both in my iMac & at the server) are intact, only those in "Sent" folder are missing.
Anyone has any idea what's going on? Is there a chance I could get my old emails (pre-May, 2012)? Thanks.

I've been using Mail (currently 4.6 (1085)) to handle all my emails including my Gmail account. Yes, I did migrate, I remember changing some settings through the web but I don't recall changing things in my Mail setting. Perhaps, I did, I'm not sure. I attach a screen capture of my Mail settings:
Yes, it's foolish to have no backup. I've been using TimeMachine with TimeCapsule for quite some time now. I think I switched from MM to iCloud around June 2012, when it was close to deadline. Does my attached picture answer your question about the server setting?

Call log in email inbox?? how to remove??

Hi there and welcome to the forums!
You can resolve this using the following steps (I've done the same on my Storm for the same reason as you):
Open the phone application, then press the BB Menu button and select Options
Choose Call Logging and then change the call logging options to None.
This will still show an icon for missed calls, but it will remove the call log from your main messages folder.

Moved an email from my in-box to a folder but now the email is missing

Hi,
On my iphone 5 I moved an email from my inbox to a folder that I had already created called "vacation". But when I go into my "vacation" folder the email is missing. I did a search on my phone for the email but it is not found on my phone anywhere. So I logged onto my email through my pc. The message was there in my inbox. I moved it to my "vacation" folder. It is there on my pc but not on my phone. I went into my settings on my phone and made sure that it wa set to "no LImit" in the "mail days to sync" option. I restarted my phone but still not showing up. I have "checked for new mail" but still not showing up on my phone, but it's there on my pc in my hotmail account in the folder "vacation". Any ideas?

Okay so I deleted the mail account and then re-added it to my phone. That worked. It is now in the correct folder. Hope this was just a one time glitch and not an on going issue.

Mobile Inbox missing

2 hours later and having gone through Apple Support, with the phone technician exhausted and referring to this support forum and "Chat" (which I'm still trying to find) ...
This is a simple journey to set up Find My iPhone (iOS4.2.1) -> http://www.apple.com/iphone/find-my-iphone-setup/
Steps 1 to 4 was a breeze, using my mac.com account.
Step 5 however seems to be a "holy grail" affair (no offence intended to those who are religiously, spiritually or otherwise inclined).
Attempt 1. In opening the Mail app on the iPhone to check for the MobileMe Inbox (in addition to my existing Exchange account), there is none to be seen. All I see listed in my Exchange Inbox. (The Mail app repeats I set up an MobileMe account in the case of no prior email accounts being present, then states I already have a MobileMe account set up, and try checking the Inbox!, then takes the same journey again ... and again ... and again ...)
Attempt 2. In trying to connect to MobileMe, on my two Macbooks (10.6.6), via MacMail, it cannot connect citing:
"Logging in to the MobileMe IMAP server “mail.me.com” failed. Make sure the user name and password you entered are correct, then click Continue. If the information isn’t correct, you cannot receive messages."
Attempt 3. When logging online to http://me.com/mail in attempt to check my *@mac.com email address, this page continually redirects after Iog in and innocently states that it can't find my iPhone. How intuitive ...
Attempt 4. When suggested to:
"If your MobileMe account says “Not Verified,” check your email inbox for a message from Apple. Click Verify Now and sign in with your Apple ID. 
If you don’t see a verification email in your inbox, select your MobileMe account and tap Resend Verification Email."
My finger is now rather sore from tapping ....
Attempt 5. In setting my mac.com profile to set my work email as the primary contact, then tapping "Resend Verification Email" on the MobileMe account, I receive no emails to my work account pertaining to this magical wonderland for verification goodness (does it actually exist I wonder ...)
Is this how Apples "loves" their customers????

Emails were missing after message

Hello,
Recently when opening thunderbird the following message appeared: "Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox". Soon after, my Inbox emails were missing. I tried to recover them in every way, without success. What do I do now?

Can not find delete option in IOS email Inbox ( gmail)

However, the delete option is available when i go to ALL mail under gmail in my iPhone5s.
Any advise how to delete emails directly from iPhone5s inbox ( under gMail)

In GMail Inbox, tap Edit (top right), mark email from the list you want then tap the Trash (bottom right)

My ISP is Wildblue, through Directv.net. I am having trouble with the log-in page loading, (iGoogle.com) and have to keep reloading and hitting the back button. Then the same thing happens when I try to bring up my email inbox. When I first got Firefox, I did not have this problem, but now it is every time I try to log on.

Insert your backup disc (or plug your external hd), then open Mail.
In the File menu, click *Import Mailboxes* and follow the steps for a *Mail for Mac OS X* transfer.
Navigate to your CD/DVD's or external HD's backup and hit "OK".
This should create a new "Imported" folder in Mail with all your old messages in it, that you can then rearrange as you wish, creating new mailboxes etc.

Just a quick question! An answer in which I'm sure will be simple. How is it I add more email inboxes to the pre-installed "Mail" application? In other words, I have two email addresses in which both are used by myself. One is Yahoo, and the other Google Mail. How is it I can view both of the inboxes for these email addresses at the same time on the mail app?

One option available is to open a new viewer window and then select the mailbox.
Mail > File > New Viewer Window
