Email incorrectly dated

Particular emails are being dated as 01/01/1970. Hence they go to the end of my folder.

I have not been unable to replicate this myself and given that you have tired multiple types of configurations with the same result I can really only advise attempting a software repair:
Backing up your handset
To back up your phone using PC Companion
1. Go to Support to install PC Companion on a Windows computer.
2. When installed, start PC Companion on the computer.
3. Connect your phone to the computer using a USB cable.
4. Click Start under Backup & Restore.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Exactly what contents will be backed up may differ depending on phone model.
You can view detailed information about this as you follow the steps in the Backup & Restore wizard.
Running the software repair
Before you start you have to download the PC Companion software and install it on your PC.
Once installed on your PC, double-click the PC Companion icon on your desktop to start the update.
Please ensure your phone is powered off and not connected to the PC when you begin this process. You are not required to connect the phone until after step 10.
1. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
2. Phone Software Update.
3. Start.
4. Repair Phone
5. Continue
6. Accept data removal
7. Next
8. Wait for prepare
9. Select Phone
10. Follow the connection steps

Imap email incorrectly marked as read before I open them.

HI,
My email is set up as imap on my MacBookPro. I noticed when I opened by mail yesterday that it showed I only had 1 unread email - which is greatly incorrect. Tonight when I opened mail, my new messages for today suddenly changed to read all at once, before I had opened them. I have gone through my mail preferences and can't find anything to explain it, and I had not changed anything, that I can think of. I have set up no filters or rules. I am in classic view.
The POP account on my Mac Mini is fine.

Who is hosting the email server?
Is this through your work?
Are you hosting your own email server?
Have you ever downloaded from this email server on another mobile device?
If this is an IMAP email, and if the email is being checked at another location by anyone then it would be marked as read. This could also be a setting issue on the email server itself.

BlackBerry ID email incorrect and forgotten password - oops!

Oops! I have just tried logging in with my BlackBerry ID, discovered I had forgotten my password, then realised my BB ID email address was incorrect, and am not sure what to do next. I am a new BlackBerry owner. My software is version 7.1.
(1) Is there an alternative to backing up, wiping all my custom settings, new apps, docs, pics, and other data, including my old BB ID, then starting again? If so please give instructions that an **bleep** (I have ADHD) can follow.
(2) Or, could someone point me to an idiots guide that makes it seem less scary than it does right now...

After a lot of Googling, I discovered I just had to bite the bullet;
Backup BB to my desktop pc
Security Wipe
Pray!
Restore from desktop
Enter *carefully* my correct email and a secure password
And it worked! I use Linux, so I had to use the Open Source 'Barry' backup app. All my contacts, calendars, tasks, playlists, docs, etc are all back and everything working. And I can now install upgrades to pre-installed apps, and try out new apps from BB App World. Backups are always a good thing, especially now I know the restore option really works! Now I am a happy BlackBerry user again

Email incorrect on BB ID PW reset wont work

When I set up my ID, I transposed my email, now I have forgotten my pw & cannot get it to reset per it is trying to send the email to an incorrect email address. Any suggestions... I cannot find anywhere to contact BB to get this fixed...

Sent emails now dated June 30th 2009

I just noticed I have a couple hundred emails in my Mail "Sent Folder" that are now dated June 30th 2009. The emails that are changed appear to have been selected randomly from between about October 2006 and June 2007. What is even more odd to me, is there are still many other emails from that same time period that were left unchanged.
I suspect this has something to do with the changes Apple made on June 30th.
Any idea what happened and how to fix it?

Email-incorrect password

I can set up my account, it syncs and downloads the emails, but then when it send/receives I keep getting an Incorrect Password error. No matter how many times I update the password, it won't acknowledge it. I can delete the account, add account again and it will download/sync. Any thoughts?

Email incorrect and cannot be verified at any update

I cannot backup since bought phone bc email can never be verified it is spelled wrong and I Can never connect on updates.

It sounds like you have an incorrect iCloud account entered into your phone and are attempting to use it for backup. You can change the Apple ID by going to Settings > iCloud > Account and entering the correct iCloud account information as described here -

Note that the article is mainly about changing the billing information, but the same settings area also contains the account name and password.
Specifically -
Go to Settings > iCloud.
Tap your iCloud account email address at the top of the screen.

Employee enters email incorrectly?

I recently bought an iPhone 4 bumper before they announced the free ones. When I bought it, they asked for my email to send me a receipt. I never got an email, so I'm guessing they entered my email address incorrectly (I checked my junk mail). Am I out of luck to get a refund?

Did you purchase the bumper online via Apple's online store or at an Apple store? If so and you paid with a credit card, your credit card will be credited automatically. If you purchased the bumper at an Apple store and paid with cash, with a check, or with a gift card, you need to return to the store with your receipt. If you didn't receive the receipt via email, check with the Apple store regarding getting a copy of your receipt.

Hi, my friends ID and password works fine for downloading apps etc but when I try to set up iMessage once you put in the apple I'd and password it say email incorrect so can't go any further but we know this is correct. please Help and thanks

I need help resetting my iCloud email address. i have erased all y data to solve a bug problem. I re-entered my email incorrectly; putting hitmail instead hotmail.

Please help. I had clitch on my iphone. i was advised to reset my phone to factory settings. I successfully erased all the data. when i came to restore the software and back up data on to my phone I accidentally put the wrong email address whilst setting up my iCloud account. Instead putting in hotmail i put hitmail. I've tried to edit the email address, but I'm unable to. I've tried to erase the data again but I'm prompted to turn of the 'find my iphone' app. i can't do this because it ask for apple I'd; which I can't access because I've entered the wrong email.

Force it into recovery mode and restore it again, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808. Then set it up again using the correct address.

A3 "tell a friend" email incorrectly states the password is PASSWORD

Hi All
I recently did a playgroup shoot and created individual password protected galleries for each child. However when I click on "tell a friend" the email shows the correct username but states the password is PASSWORD. I can login to the galleries using the username and password set in A3 but would like to use the "tell a friend" email to send to the clients.
I know this was working correctly a couple of days ago, but checking previous galleries - same problem.
Anyone have any idea's ?

Yes I created the mobileme galleries in A3, set a username and password for the galleries. Then when I select the "tell a friend" button it creates a mail message with a thumbnail of an image and user login details.
The username in the email is correct but the password is PASSWORD instead of the actual password that I have assigned to the mobileme gallery.

Email received dated 1-1-01 - - has no content !??!?!

I actually used Mail.app with squirrel webmail before. It wasn't the best experience, but it worked fine.
If emails coming in after the ones that were "wiped" show up normally, then I am inclined to think that it was just some bad save or quasi-corrupt mail files on your local storage, and you shouldn't have much to worry about.
Firstly - and I don't put much hope into this - you could try right-clicking on the mailbox, and click "Synchronize ``name of account``". This should mirror the local and online accounts.
If that doesn't work, and you really want to confirm that it was a freak-event, you could go the extreme way (which depends on how much email you actually have): you could backup the inboxes/mailboxes with the defective emails (right click on mailbox in left sidebar, click "Archive Mailbox..."), remove the account from Mail Preferences, re-add it again with your settings, and let Mail.app re-download all your email. If this was just some random error, your defective mail messages should download fine this time.
(I recognize that this process could be very messy, and it really depends on how much local work you've put into your mailboxes and how much work you're willing to put into fixing the problem.)
Also, just as proper procedure, you should make sure that you have the most updated POP3/IMAP settings for connecting to your servers (such as port numbers etc... from a sys admin if you have one).

ITunes Library files incorrectly dated

Since I installed Windows 7 32 bit Home Premium, I have noticed that my iTunes Music Library files and all updated Mobile Application files are dated x/x/2000. The clock seems to have started on 1 Jan 2000 so any files changed today show for eg. 2 Feb 2000. My main clock is correctly set - all other programs date stamp the files correctly except iTunes. Anyone else have this problem? I have installed the latest iTunes.

Further to my original post, this is what happens: If I edit a file using the iTunes tag editor, the modified date is naturally changed, but to the year 2000. It is now on 8 March 2000. As previously noted, my system date is correct. The consequences of this are that when doing a comparative backup, the backup software sees a later date on files not yet edited in iTunes (on the target drive) and ignores the modified files with earlier dates (2000) on the source drive.

Cant change primary email - incorrect password???

Hi there,
Getting bloody frustrated with this so hopefully we can fix it somehow with someone's help here.
I keep trying to change my primary email address, and when I click save I get prompted for my password. I try my current Skype password - the one I used to log in and change everything else... it does not work. I try every other password off memory, and none work.
What gives??? This is driving me nuts!

Default email incorrect

A letter is missing from my default email address. The BT desktop help acknowledges there's a fault, so tests it but uses the correct email and it therefore decides there's nothing wrong. How can I correct this?

All you need to do is to change the account details within Windows mail. I am not familiar with that program, but there must be an option under "account settings".
Perhaps someone on this forum who uses Windows Mail can help you?
