Email link in a Jpeg Photo

So I called tech support and asked them this question
The first question was how do i add text to a image i have already placed on my page.
Answer: Export the image to a pic editor. LIke photoshop.
Ok fair enough
Then my next question was:
How do i get e link or email link on the text in the photo?
Once i have my image and text the way i want it, its saved as a image and i cant edit the text.
So my question is really two questions i guess.
How do i get text on a image in dreamweaver. If a editor is needed, then how do i set a link up to another page?

Use the smallest image size necessary for the task. Small image slices or tiles make good backgrounds on web pages. You can set background images in your site's CSS to tile or repeat vertically, horizontally, both or none. So a little image can go a long way. It can fill an entire screen, table or a CSS division.
A common mistake among new web designers is trying to "fit" content precisely over a large, background image or photograph. This seldom works as planned because building for the web is nothing like designing for print. Owing to different browsers, user settings, text and display sizes which you cannot control, the web is an inherently flexible medium. You cannot place web content precisely over a big background image and expect it to stick. The only reliable way to retain precision is to place text on an image using your graphics editor, then flatten image and text layers and save for web as jpg, gif or png.

Hi you have basicly 2 Options.
1 -if you Switch One fotostream on all 3 devices of yours which are working on the same apple id -all Fotos you Take with your iPad will be synchronized via icloud to the other 2 decvices ( w-lan and battery depending).
2- If you select foots or a whole album in iPhoto on your air or iMac and choose than puplish --> fotostream --> new or existing event you can key in a friends mail. If this friend has iCloud and iPhoto ( for iMac or MacBook ) and click on the link in the email it will download this fotos in the fotostream section in iPhoto. If he has a iPad, iPhone,... It will do it in the foto app and if he doesn't have a iCloud account at all and you choose "public web site" while publishing he can see your fotostream on a website.

markwmsn's suggestion will work if you are trying to add a link, in an email message, that leads to a JPEG image hosted somewhere else.
But if you wanted to put a JPEG image inside an email message and have the link lead from the JPEG (when clicked in the email) to a web page somewhere else, then the code must be different. You will need to use standard HTML link code around the image. Your email program would have to let you do that, and the email program on the other end would have to be HTML-friendly. Some people turn off HTML in email, and other people turn off image display in email, so if your recipient does either, the link may not work as intended.

Mail JPEG photo attachments

Greetings. I send variously-sized photo files as JPEGs attached to email; some recipients can open them with no problems, but others have significant difficulties. Most recently, a customer has claimed that she can only open my JPEG photo file attachments as Bitmaps. The files I'm sending are .jpg files saved as Level 12 files in Photoshop and sent actual size. I can't find a Mail preference to alter relating to attachments other than making them compatible with Windows recipients (box checked) and placing them at the end of documents (box checked). Suggestions appreciated.

When e-mailing message to other systems, you are restricted to the lowest-common denominator. Older PC systems often have trouble with e-mail from Macs. Outlook 2003 will, indeed, save your JPEG attachment as a BMP. Of course, it will do that even if you send a JPEG picture using Outlook 2003 . If your hapless PC using-friend upgraded to Outlook 2007, she would actually lose the ability to save the attachment altogether.
Apple's focus is on new technology and ease-of-use rather than support for legacy systema and complexity. If you want, you can manually add some complexity back in to Apple Mail with a 3rd party plug-in like Attachment Tamer.

Email link in Dreamweaver CS5

I need an email link ( I'm using Dreamweaver CS5) when I use the
Email Link on the right insert panel in Dreamweaver, it changes to the
same as my navigational links. I need the email link to look different
than my navigational links. I have a jpeg image, which includes a
background and text, the text being my email address. At this point I
will just type my email address. I will need coding and/or java script
codes to convert the information to an email address link.
What is Property Inspector does this have anything to do with
email links, if so where is it and how do I use it?
Need answers as soon as possible.

One more question regarding Dreamweaver CS5?
I have created a table and in the table is text and PayPal buttons. The table is
in an AP Div.
Under the table, I have another AP Div and in it is animation.
Another AP Div, in it credit card logos.
The problem: Under the table is too much space and then the AP Div.
How do I narrow the space between the table and the div tag under the table?
It looks good in "Design View" in Dreamweaver, but on the internet it looks
terrible - the large space under the table and then the AP Div.
Also, when I close Dreamweaver and reopen, the AP Div tags are overlapping in
the table, each time I open the page
I have to move the Divs out of the table.
The animation is not the problem, because I deleted the animation and there's
still a large gap.
WHAT the heck is wrong?
I've worked on this problem for hours and it's still looks awful.
Can you S-T-O-P the Table/Div Nightmares!

Web links, email links, button links

I have several different links through out my site. I want them to look differently but it keeps inheriting the styles of my button link. How can I make them appear different. For instance, I don't want my email link to have a background behind it when you hoover. I just want it to change colors. What am I doing wrong. Can anyone help?

1) Padding is only placed on the top and/or bottom of the divs. The elements within these divs have padding on their sides. This saves you from any "box model math". I feel like I'm making a mess of it.

Email button or menu Email Link does not work. Firefox 29.0 on Linux Mint 13

Neither the Email Link menu option under File nor the Email Button installed from the customise menu option when placed on the tool bar work.
Thunderbird 24.5.0 is the email client both installed on Linux Mint 13 with latest updates.
Nothing happens at all when on a web page and the email link is clicked or the envelope icon is clicked.
Help appreciated.

Hello
The Preferred applications menu list showed Thunderbird as the email program but it did not link the email button to firefox.
I had to eventually go to the Firefox preferences and in Applications, Thunderbird was not listed. So I selected Other and browsed to the filesystem / Usr/Bin and selected the Thunderbird icon which then put Thunderbird in the Firefox Applications options for email.
The email link / button then worked.
Now I have to sort out the link for emailing photos from Picasa as this does not work either

EMail Link in SWF exported from InD CS5 does not work

I'm trying to find a definitive answer on this. I have designed an interactive document in InD CS5 that has buttons and hyperlinks. When exported to SWF everything works except my e-mail hyperlink. It works fine in InDesign's preview pane. I've uploaded the file to my webserver for testing, the problem still occurs.
I found one post in another forum that quoted an Adobe InD developer stating that as of CS4 email links were not exported. However, I've not been able to find any mention of whether this works in CS5 or not.
Does anybody know for sure whether or not email links work in SWF files exported from CS5?

Sorry, no offense was intended. I had found references to problems with CS4, but nothing about CS5, and said as much in my post -- was frustrated that I had spent a long time looking and hadn't found any responses yet.
You mentioned using buttons rather than hyperlinks, and that worked for me -- but it might have just been a problem with my browser not properly reloading the flash file, too -- as I mentioned in my response.

The new email shows the link, I add an email address and click send, Thunderbird hangs and never completes the send. I have to copy and paste the link by hand in a new email and then it works. It seems to be an issue regarding how Firefox and Thunderbird are communicating.
My server uses IMAP. I don't have this problem with POP, but I prefer to use IMAP.

I upgraded to Firefox 5, then noticed when a window was open I couldn't launch another one. Or launch into Firefox off an email link. Or open a new window if there was none open.
So I downgraded back to 4. Problem persists.

Uninstall the ones you know about, yes.
As regards the others, it's difficult to say. All you can do is to disable them all via Safe Mode (checkmark "Disable all add-ons", then "Make changes and restart") and then re-enable them one by one checking each time until the problem recurs. Laborious I know, but the only sound way of doing it I'm afraid.

It's Comcast email, most links are to articles from the Wall Street Journal. Lately an email from Charles Schwab broker with a link to a pdf file has been doing the same. When I click on the link, it opens within the email frame, which is about 1/3 filled up with the toolbar, mailboxes, headings etc. If it opens with 2 bars on the right side to move down, I can see the whole article, but often it opens with only one bar on the right side which will not let me get all the way to the end of the page.
It's been happening for several weeks. I got a new computer and it's still happening. Comcast sounds like they've never heard of it. Most recently happened today. I tried the same email link with IE and it opened a new window.

Firefox sent an email to me to confirm that I had asked the above question. The email had a link to click. When I clicked it from Firefox, nothing happened. Then I opened IE, signed into Comcast, opened the email, clicked the link, and it brought me here.

A few more details might help, if nobody else recognizes this.
What happens when you try to open the links?
Can you post an example of a link that doesn't work?
Is there any particular source for the mail with the (bad) links, or is mail from all sources failing?
If you happen to know it, what's the format of the mail message? (Maybe the message is an image?)
Do the embedded links work as expected from an OS X system running Mail.app, or some system and some other other mail client?
To view the link in iOS: if you press on and hold your finger on an embedded link in most contexts, iOS will show a pop-up with the link contents, and will offer to copy it. You can use that to acquire and post the link. If pressing and holding on the link doesn't offer the pop-up, the format of the link itself may not be valid, or it might not really be a link.

Clicking email-links doesn't open "new message" window

When I click email links, safari doesn't take me to the "new message" window. It activates safari: the program comes on in the dock and the text next to the apple logo changes to "mail", but I don't get the "new message" window

That file might have moved to a different location on the server. I think you'll need to check with RefWorks support or your local IT department on why the install page links do not work.
