How do you create a new folder in your email so you can move emails to it.

I have no friggin' idea why Apple doesn't include the ability to create locally stored or server stored mailboxes with the iPhone's Mail client.
I do know the iPhone's Mail client is not designed or intended to be a replacement for the email client used on your computer for accessing an email account. It is designed and intended to be a supplement for.
I also know although it is possible to access a POP account with more than one email client, a POP account is specifically designed to be accessed with a single email client only. An IMAP account is specifically designed to be accessed with more than one email client with all server stored mailboxes for the account kept synchronized with the server automatically with each email client used to access the account.
Anyone who tries to access a POP account with more than one email client when a POP account is not designed for this and expecting it to behave like an IMAP account which is specifically designed for this, and/or expects the iPhone's Mail client to be a replacement for the email client used on their computer for accessing an email client is stupid. And anyone who wastes their time whining and ranting about something they are clueless about at a user to user help forum for technical support issues and questions has no business owning an iPhone or any such device IMO.
I am new to iPhone but i've been in micros from the seventies, am I right in thinking that the iPhone doesn't have a conventional file system? Every app seems to have its own folders and never do they swap over except for photos.
Correct. The file system for each 3rd party app has its own "sandbox" on the iPhone.

Email manager lost after sw update

with sw ver10.40 I used nokia email service.
Few days ago I updated the software with ver10.45.
From then the email service in messages has been replace by converter but IM is still working.
Someone help me out...
What to do to get it back..
I searched the whole phone but I didn't get it.

Sparrow - Email Manager for Mac

Mail doesn't function well enough to continue using as primary program for email management

I have been a loyal Mac user for over 8yrs, and I honestly can say I dislike all other competition products out on the market, whether it be types of computers, and computer software...
So it pains me to say, that it is most disappointing to find that, now since I ensured all my devices (iphone + ipad) and computers (laptop + desktop) has Lion OS X, and IOS 5, and I set up my iCloud, I have for the first time made use of Mail, and iCloud, in order to use personal, but more importantly business email accounts, and have them set up through Mail on all my computers.
Unfortunately, there seems to leave a bit to be desired.
Often, I feel like, all the devices are not synced identically, and it would be better for me to look at Mail on each device/computer and have it look the same, showing the same drafts, the same sent mail, etc...sometimes this is not the case, and it makes for confusion, and also ends up creating an unprofessional feel for our customers, if we can not be efficient with our email communications.
Also, a lot of the time, emails dont get sent...as an example, one of my business email accounts set up through mail, will work, receiving mail in the inbox, however when it comes to sending email responses, the mail sometimes get stuck in the outbox, and I have to close mail down, and repoen, sometimes more than once in order to get mail to successfully send that mail.
It just feels like mail still has some bugs being worked out, and I really hope to see more updates, helping this program to work more efficiently, otherwise I will have to opt out of using a combo of Mail and iCloud, and opt rather for an outside server to host Outlook, in order to accomodate a more professional emailing system.....and I prefer to use the former rather than having to opt for the latter.... I rather have everything flowing in one well oiled Mac system, across all my devices/computers.

Problem with email address management page (not re...

A couple of weeks ago I was moved to BT mail and I linked my BT ID to my main email address, as instructed. On the email management page, I linked six other email addresses, which I had previously had in BT Yahoo, using the ‘add to BT ID’ function. However, my main email address, which was the one I initially linked, also appears on the email management page, but with the ‘add to BT ID’ function still appearing. When I click on this, I keep getting the message: ‘Sorry, we haven't been able to claim that email address due to an error. Please try again later.’ This means that I am unable to have my main email address as my favourite, so when I log in, it always defaults to another one of my addresses. How do I fix this problem?

To change the Email retrieval logic for MSS in Portal

Hi All,
In standard MSS Business Package for employee selection Iview, under column email, manager get an option to send mail to employee by clicking on highlighted send option.
At present the option "SEND" get highlighted if the email value is maintained in IT0105 and manager is able to send mail to employee on the same email address.
Now in my scenario instead of getting the email address from IT0105, I need to get the email address maintained in transaction SU01.
And the problem in doing this is, for highlighting the "SEND" link under employee selection ivew, standard SAP code uses a
method GET_EMAIL_ADDRESS of class CL_HRWPC_SER_EMAIL in which they use a function module HRWPC_READ_CONTACT to check if the email address exist in IT0105 or not.
I can overite this check by using a implicit enhancement in method GET_EMAIL_ADDRESS based on email in SU01. But my concern is, if use an implicit
enhancement, then all the application using this method will retrieve data based on SU01 entry, instead of IT0105.
This email address retrieval based on SU01 entry is only required for MSS and it is not a common requirement.
So please suggest me a solution, so that i can get the "SEND" option highlighted only for email address based on SU01 entry only for MSS.
Also suggest me how to check the which all application are using method GET_EMAIL_ADDRESS.
As where used list only give me interface where this method is called and interface is called dynamically.

Hi Namit,
I think your question is more related to in another forum (HCM).
This is not a portal specific question, but more or less related to function modules and BADIs.
But maybe someone else can help you on this one. I think there is no list of applications that use GET_EMAIL_ADDRESS. As far as I can remember, the only application that sends emails in ESS/MSS is this teamoverview page.

I want to send but not receive email

I'm a heavily invest gmail user and have all of my accounts set up in gmail. When I installed TBird I set it up with my gmail account because everything is already in that account, but the problem is that I cannot send as my other email addresses this way.
I don't actually ever use my gmail address to send from I simply use it as an email manager. I've used TBird in the past but this was before I started using gmail as my email manager and at that time set them all up like normal. I want to know if I can set them up in TBird so that it will not pull those emails from the server because they are already being pulled into gmail and then delivered to TBird via gmail and if I can simply just use them to send from when I do need to use TBird?
Is there a way to do this?

Let's get this straight. Somehow you get all your accounts to forward to the gmail account. In Thunderbird you receive all your messages in the gmail account, so don't want to set it up to access the accounts directly?
(Why forward them all to gmail?)
Have you registered these accounts with your gmail account? This will allow you to send "on behalf of" using the gmail smtp servers. I think the final bit would be to set up your other accounts as additional identities in Thunderbird under the gmail account, then you can use them as "from:" addresses.
I fail to see what advantage you obtain from all this forwarding to gmail. I run several accounts myself, and use one gmail IMAP-connected account to file stuff that will be useful to me and is thus available to any of my computers. But I can do this by simple manual moving or filter-based moving in Thunderbird.
I have one account that I operate a bit like yours, because its servers use traditional imap/143 and smtp/25 ports, which are blocked by the server/firewall at my place of work. By forwarding incoming messages to another (gmx) account that uses imap/993 and smtp/465 I can make use of this account at my place of work.

How to validate Emails in a Page

I've two items in a data entry screen(page1) say user email,manager email. After entering all mandatory values when I hit submit button it should raise error if email items are null or not valid?so if I enter @yahoo.com should raise error saying enter valid mail with [email protected] I enter same email id for both manager and user should raise again saying manager email should not be same as user email.

Do something like that in your validation:
1- for validation of similar emails :
use validation : function body returns boolean
if :MGR_EMAIL = :USER_EMAIL THEN
return false;
End if;and identify your error msg.
2- for validation of empty emails :
use validation (item is not null) for both emails
3- for validation of email format :
use validation : fucntion returning error msg
IF INSTR(:MGR_EMAIL,'@') < 2 THEN
return 'Invalid email format for manager';
elsif INSTR(:USER_EMAIL,'@') < 2 THEN
return 'Invalid email format for suer';

How to use/import CM Tags in html email templates?

Hi guys
I would like to start designing html email templates and send mailings for my clients. Can anyone tell me how I can easily insert CM tags so that the template will be easily adapted to the content of the certain email in the email manager like Campagin Monitor?

I would like to design my own templates and instantly insert the right tags and so, so that I can import the templates to websites like Campaign Monitor and my clients can open templates when sending new mailsings.
The goal is to have my own designed templates for my clients with their layouts which they can use for their mailings. Also extending the newsletter (adding new article fields) should be possible etc.
Can you tell me what codes I need and what I should pay attention to in order to design nice templates that will appear correctly in nearly each mailbox?

Yahoo alias email account not accessible

I am having a problem accessing my email from an email alias account through Yahoo since they changed to the new interface. It works in IE8, but not in Firefox 6 which makes me think it's an issue at your end and not Yahoo.
I have a website, commonbondhistorians.com, which is hosted by Yahoo and has an associated [email protected] email. I later created a second website under that account, gardenstatelegacy.com with an associated email of [email protected]
Before Yahoo changed their email interface, I was able to log into both email addresses independently of one another. After the change, even when I enter the gardenstatelegacy.com user name and password, I get taken to the commonbondhistorians.com email page. This happens on both Firefox and IE.
However, I am able to click on the "signed in as" drop down menu at the upper left of the commonbondhistorians.com email page and select gardenstatelegacy.com which then takes me to that email account in IE. This does not work in Firefox. Which is why I believe this is an issue with how Firefox is reacting to the Yahoo page rather than a problem with Yahoo.
I am running Windows XP Service Pack 3; Firefox 6.0.1; IE 8.0.6001
I do use WebMail Notifier. Prior to the Yahoo interface change, this would alert me to incoming emails in both accounts. Now it only alters me to commonbondhistorians.com. I have this problem regardless of if WebMail Notifier is disabled.
I can access the gardenstatelegacy.com email account if I go through the Yahoo Small Business email manager page, but obviously I don't want to have to go through all that just to check my emails.

Email setup problems

I can't get my main email address to work! I registered a domain name on Go Daddy and set up an email address. Everything worked fine. Then I set up a temporary webpage on business catalyst. Then I redirected my domain name to BC and set up my real web site. Now, when I try to use my email, nothing works. I tried to move my email to BC, and that doesn't work. I have tried to manage the email address on Go Daddy, and it doesn't work. HELP!!!

Okay. So I can't have business catalyst host my domain? I have to continue to use Go Daddy for that? I want to move everything to BC if possible. Right now, I have my website through BC (although I obtained the name originally through GD). And I have set up email addfresses through BC, with a paid account. But I am stuck with not being able to set up in BC my main email address. When I try to set up that address on BC, I get this error message: "Account details for this user can only be updated via the site where it was first created." So, I went back to GD and checked the box to have the email managed by another provider, not by GD. But I still can't set up the email on BC. This has been going on now for 2 days. Previously this email address worked before I migrated everything to BC, and the other email addresses migrated fine. I am at a loss about how to solve this problem.

SharePoint / Outlook: email to document library?

Please give information (at least the name) on the product you are recommending. There is also no point (and it is less helpful) in using a tinyurl address rather than the real one (especially given the length of the real one).
(The simple "try this" + URL posts are often used by spammers to push their own products which is why it is good to give more information when you (as here) aren't spamming.)
The "real" link here is http://www.colligo.com/products/sharepoint/index.asp (the link that the tinyurl points at) from which we can see that it is a product from Colligo and the product is I presume "Contributor Add-In - Outlook Email Management".

Without any warning, my wife's email format changed to the new email management tool being offered by Verizon. My email has renained as always and I do not want to change. How do we get her email changed back to the older format?

Unfortunately, there is no way to get back the classic E Mail. Eventually everyone will be switched over and it will go bye bye!

Change name on outgoing emails, so I am anonymous to the receipient?

I am using the email manager on my Mac.
I have several email accounts set up and working fine, one of which I would like to remain anonymous when I send out mail. Right now my name shows up to the reader. Example: email address may be "[email protected]", but what shows up to the reader is "[email protected] AND "Bill Smith". I don't mind if the reader sees, "abc1", but I just want them to see "BJS", as opposed to "Bill Smith".
Is there a way to change this?

The 'Bill Smith' is taken from the 'Full Name' field in Mail Preferences -> Accounts. Just edit that to include whatever 'name' you want recipients to see.
