Email Marketing Templates - Other than BC

Hello, I was wondering if I can use email newsletter templates, other than the ones in Business Catalyst, for my email marketing templates? For example, if I purchase templates from another site, can I use them and modify them in Business Catalyst? I'd like to send them out through BC for the tracking features.
It appears the ones purchased from other sites are html so wouldn't those work? I found somewhere in the BC literature that you had to be a Premium Partner to upload and save new templates; is that true?

This is correct as premium partners have access to switch templates.

The workaround is to use the blank option and paste your custom template in the campaign content section.

Yea you can. Open up your iDisk (if you don't keep it synchronized on your desktop, go to the Go menu in Finder, then iDisk, then Mount My iDisk). In your iDisk, you can put your site in the Sites folder, but not the Web folder; the Web folder is reserved only for iWeb and other Apple apps.
Any sites you put in your iDisk/Sites folder will live at homepage.mac.com/username/site. You won't be able to use .Mac's domain redirection.

Configuring outgoing email on premise other than port 25 in SharePoint 2013

I tried everything to get email alerts, but emails are not coming. I tried changing port number in IIS6 . I followed and saw many different articles on net to configure outgoing email settings. , still emails are not coming. What am I missing here?

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to configure outgoing email on premise other than port 25 in SharePoint 2013.
As the article said, there wasn't a way for SharePoint to select the outgoing port.
The workaround is to send Emails to SharePoint Server OS itself over port 25, and then Windows server SMTP in turn route the Emails to Microsoft online over port 587.

HT3384 Template will not open; Pages does not respond when one chooses template other than blank

The Pages template system crashes when I attempt to choose a template other than blank. How do I fix this problem, so that I can successfully choose any template that I desire?

Is it all templates or just a few? It could be a corrupt font or duplicate fonts or an out-dated font. Launch Font Book & validate fonts & check for duplicates.

Still cannot send or receive email using anything other than webmail

I have they yahoo/verizon email and any email program, other than webmail, will not send or receive. It is not a settings issue as it was working one day...about 3-4 months ago...and then stopped the next day. Also, my sub-accounts will still send and receive...it is ONLY the primary account...so definitely not a settings issue.
Verizon email is horrible..switching over to gmail and ending this horror show.

Send Email not delivering emails to addresses other than yahoo

Hello,
I have an application that works well, built with ADDT with custom coupon payment gateway, verification and license download and the final step - sending email to customer after every successful transaction.
I have noticed that emails are not delivered to my business email account but whenever I change the email address to a yahoo email address and attempt a transaction the email gets delivered immediately.
The email address is pulled from a recordset from the current logged in user's personal information table.
Any idea why this is so? Is there a problem in ADDT as I would have believed that public email addresses like yahoo or gmail should be more difficult to deliver emails to as against fully functional non public email addresses.
I tried changing my password on this forum (Adobe forum) this morning and I got the forgotten password email sent to the same email address that may application has refused to deliver emails to so there is nothing wrong with the email address itself.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your response.
I have contacted the support team managing my dedicated server and they claimed they got an email (sent to their email address) while testing the application (www.ijann.com/onspeed/tell_a_friend.php).
I tried to send email to another email address (other than yahoo) on my dedicated server and it was delivered immediately.
So, it means emails are not only getting delivered to yahoo email accounts.
But my business email address (not on my dedicated server) never gets any email from the application.
I have just sent an email to the support team managing the shared server where the business email is residing.
I will post an update when this is resolved. As you implied, it may be with the setting on that email account which is showing "More Aggressive Action" towards emails tagged as SPAM. Maybe the next step is to see the criteria for tagging emails SPAM.

IPhone will not show new email in folders other than Inbox on Yahoo

Hello,
I have setup Yahoo email account. I have several folders within my yahoo account (15+), now the new email notification ( sound and new email icon ) works only on Inbox, If I have new email in my other folder, iPhone will not notify unless I go inside that folder.
Has anyone seen this problem and is there a workaround ?
I am sorry if I am repeating the Q, I searched here but did not find this Q?

Email Marketing Templates

After making any canges to the templates and without changes to the table box only removing text or photos. Them emailing a copy to myself it looks great on the desktop or ipad but when it comes to samrt phones it cuases all sorts of reflowing issues Fonts sizes changes for example.
But when emailing the same template with out any changes it looks great. Remember I am only deleting a text or photo no table changes. Does anyone know what is causing this to happen.

How do I change my default email to something other than Mail?

From the menu bar top of your screen click Mail > Preferences then select the General tab.
Click the pop up menu to the right of: Default Emai Reader

Is it possible to specify a template other than the default for the Event Details Layout?

Just exactly what it sounds like, and probably a n00b question –– but any help appreciated. Basically, it looks as though the Detail Layout for an event clicked on through calendar display automatically pulls the default template; I'd like to use a different one there.

I am guessing that because you have added Messages as one of your tags, that you are talking about the messages app and if you are, Messages only works with other iOS devices.
If that's not what you are talking about, you need to provide some details....some more information.

If you have a ISP based email it can only be sent through Mail via your home ISP connection (or the same ISP elsewhere).
If you use the ISP's web page email access then you can do it from any machine or on any ISP.
Most people use a free web based email like GMail or Yahoo, then they can access through any computer with a web browser anywhere.
I haven't used Mail in years.

Is there code you can add into email marketing templates to be viewed better on smart phones?

HTML/CSS for email marketing is still one of the trickiest arenas because of lack of standards in most email clients and all the different email clients (Gmail, Outlook, etc.) implement CSS differently and some even strip non-inlined CSS completely from the email.
Having said that, the easiest way to build email campaigns that look better on mobile devices is to use more flexible CSS. The basic underpinning idea is to stop using fixed-width CSS values and convert those to "max-width" values. For instance if your email's main content lies in a table with a class of "email-content" and that elements CSS is set to: "width: 500px;" then you'd just change that to "max-width: 500px;". This way, the table will be flexible and should scale it's width based on the device or email client's viewport on smaller screens but won't exceed a width of 500px when the viewport is larger than 500px.
You can do the same thing with all element's CSS references.. look for CSS "width" definitions in your markup and CSS and adjust those to "max-width" and you should see your email get more flexible. Here's some more info on responsive email campaigns: http://www.campaignmonitor.com/guides/mobile/

We are trying to insert the blog module in an ICE powered email marketing template.
I had to remove the ICE call from the module because it was causing the module to spit out all blog posts instead of just the single latest or the last 3 posts.
