Email message deletions

Is it possible to set my Q10 so that, when I delete an email message from the BlackBerry Hub, it won't delete the message from my email server?
Also, is it possible to set my Q10 so that it automatically sends a bcc email to myself?

Hopefully BlackBerry will bring this setting back to the device side with a future update. But for now you may be out of luck.

I know with my POP mail accounts when I delete on my phone it also deletes from the server. Are these POP or IMAP?
When you say "have checked all known settings" do you mean that in Settings-Mail-Account-Advanced you have selected to "delete from server when deleted from iPhone" and also "Remove Deleted Messages in one day"?
Could it be that you delete the messages from your inbox but never empty your deleted messages folder?
Other than these things it may be a setting that you need to do on your individual email servers as this should work on the iPhone.

Hotmail/Outlook eMail Messages deleted off of iPhone are not being delted off of server

I am using the MAIL app on my iPhone to acces my Hotmail/Outlook account. It is set up as a POP3 account. When I delete an email message on the phone, it is never deleted on the server, even though I have the settings in my phone set to delete them from server when removed from Inbox.
I have not found a clear answer to this issue. Right now I have 10K email messages when I log into my Hotmail

POP accounts are not reliable for deleting off the server. Contact Hotmail. IMAP accounts are what you want.

N97 Mini email message deletion

Evening all,
All of a sudden I cannot delete email messages that appear on my email account on the phone. The wifes is all ok, it's just mine. When they appear I mark them all and then try and delete and the message "could not delete" appears every time.
I have installed the latest phone software version last night but to no avail.
Any advice?

Try deleting all your mailboxes and internet access points, and nokia messaging if it's installed. Remove sim and battery, reboot phone without sim, allow to fully boot up. Then re-insert sim and set up a mailbox in the standard email client, hopefully this will work.
Or try profimail, though you shouldn't have to !

Email message deletion

How long are email messages stored on server before deleted? Where is control setting for this? It seems that massages only are available in my inbox for approx. two weeks but in sent folder or deleted folder with no time limit?

My messages stay in the in-box until I delete them! In the delete box, they will be permanetly deleted after a few days.

Using Gmail on the iPad. Is there any way of deleting more than one message at a time?

Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calenders>Mail (your email name)>Advanced>Delete from Server.
Make sure Never is checked.
If you Sync Mail over iCloud then this may change things.

Old email messages deleted at home show up on Laptop when traveling??

I have two new macs. I Mac at home and I book for when I travel. I have three POP Earthlink accounts and when I am gone for couple days and check the mail with Laptop....all the old messages I deleted, and removed load up and I have to wade through them again??
How can I stop this?? I think it hold true with when I return home my I Mac will also load up sveral days of old messages I deleted.

Can't delete email messages from some folders in Mail

I CAN delete email messages from header Folder "MAILBOXES" (drafts, sent, trash); however, there's another folder header below called "ON MY MAC", where I save various emails by dragging them to a subfolder, and when I try to delete these, I get this message:
"The message '(subject of email)' could not be moved to the mailbox 'Deleted Messages --- On My Mac' The destination mailbox 'Deleted Messages --- On My Mac' does not allow messages to be moved to it."
The only way to delete from this folder is to hold Control, select from the dropdown Move to, then Trash, and then one of three sub-trash folders (the one that has my email address) -- this is a pain to do.
Mail is just not working properly any more (I just added 2 other posts - one about crashing, another about all my Fonts missing)

Have you checked Mail>Window>Previous Recipients for the old address? If not, attempt to "Remove From List" at that location and let us know what happens.

You CAN delete all your email. Here's how: >> Open Inbox >> Edit >> Check/select the top message; it will highlight the move button. >> Press and hold the move button and uncheck the message that you had checked earlier. >> Lift all your fingers off from the ipad screen and leave it alone. Wait until all your messages pile up on the right hand portion of the screen (in ipad); iphone will give you the actual number of emails it has selected for the action. Now they are just waiting for your command to be moved ALL at once. >> Choose trash to delete all of them or any other folder where u want to move them, like one piece. Remember this will replicate your action on the server so you will ACTUALLY move them or delete them on the server and not just the ipad. Once you have moved all messages to the trash you can either leave them there for the scheduled cleaning or empty it right away by doing this: go to trash folder and touch Edit. The Delete All button shows up at the bottom of the screen. Hit it! You’re done! If you do not see the effects of your actions on the server make sure you have enabled your email accounts for such actions.

I can't delete 2 email messages that I received on the same day from one of my email accts. I have **** down the device and reset the device with no resolution to the problem. I can forward these two messages to our other acct and it will delete from there but returns to my personal email again, repeatedly. All other messages that I have deleted from my acct delete properly. I get a pop up indicating that " the message cannot be deleted". How do I fix this?

Does anyone know how to perform a "delete all" in order to delete all email messages rather than going through each message one at a time to move from the inbox to the trash folder, then delete from the trash folder permanently? Currently, we seem to be able to only select one message at a time, rather than perform "Delete All".

It is not possible other than as described by yourself - singly to the Trash folder and then collectively from there if you so wish.

You can't.
All photos transferred from your computer are stored in the Photo Library. The photos in the album or albums below are not duplicates - they include a pointer to the original photos stored in the Photo Library. This way you can view the photos in a particular album only by selecting the album, or you can view all photos available in all albums by selecting Photo Library.
Just as with an iTunes playlist. A song cannot be in an iTunes playlist unless the song is in the main iTunes library. Placing a song in a playlist does not duplicate the song. Remove the main iTunes library or the songs from the main iTunes library that are in a playlist and the songs will no longer be in the playlist either. This way you can listen to the songs in the playlist only by selecting the playlist, or all songs in your entire iTunes library by selecting Music under Library in the iTunes source list.
The same with iPhoto on a Mac. A photo cannot be in an in iPhoto Event or Album unless the photo is in the main iPhoto library. Placing a photo in an Event or Album does not duplicate the photo. Contact htem? No, I wouldn't think so, I'm not familier with fuse.net. Most ISPs adn email providers have web pages that can be used to acces your account settings and email. That may provide a means of selecting multiple emails and deleting them (but probably not 22,000 at a time).
