question. I justed to have a blackberry that i loved. However, it began to have issues with my server at work and would not work properly with my email. Our office discontinued and went to iphones. Now, the question i have is, has blackberry made improvements to work better with Exchange? Will calendar and emails download properly? Is there an equivlent MS Outlook app that can be used like with iphone OS devices? Thank you,

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
It all depends on what is on the server side. Technically, MS Exchange connects to no mobile devices whatsoever, it requires a front end of Oulook Web Access, EAS, or something else. If your server folks have activated EAS for it (which I am told is simple to do), then you can integrate via that to your BB10 device and it will be quite useful indeed.

hey all,
I tried to register or install or access my work email from my Macbook air which is linked to microsoft exchange if that is right as I'm not sure how you call it.
Anyway, I have my gmail and yahoomail working fine with my Macbook air but problem is with work email. I get the following message-
"The server returned the error: The Exchange Server “postkasse.intervare.dk” doesn’t have the minimum required version installed. To use Mail with Exchange, the server must be running Update Rollup 4 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 or later. Contact your server administrator."
How do I find an update or solution to the above error.

Enterprise Email/Microsoft Exchange

How do I add my mailbox to the Blackberry Enterprise Server?
I am trying to get my Outlook email on my phone, and when I go to Device Options, under Enterprise Email, it says that Enterprise email services are currently unavailable because my administrator has not added my mailbox to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
I do know that it is not because of data for I have unlimited data on a Blackberry plan. Everything else works, but this. I even have my Yahoo account email set up and running fine.
If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it!!!

Are you trying to add your work email to your blackberry as an enterprise account? In which case you need to contact your IT people as they will need to add you to the BES server.,

Need help setting up Comcast email through Exchange

I'm having trouble setting up my comcast email on my iPhone through the Exchange. It looks like everything is setup fine. I've even received some emails on my phone, but then they suddenly disappear and it says I have no mail. Another person in my office is having the exact same problem. Comcast Business sent our office an email that they had upgraded from Microsoft Exchange 2007 to Microsoft Exchange 2010. Any suggestions?

I have Comcast email through an Exchange account on all of my iDevices. I received the email that the service is going to be upgraded to MS Exchange 2010, but I have not received notice that it has officially changed yet.
Have you seen this? I don't think that the steps are any different than what they were for MS Exchange 2007, but take a look.

Ever since updating my iPad and iPhone to iOS6, I have not been able to send Microsoft Exchange email via my home wifi network. It just sits in my outbox. I have tried deleting the account and setting up again but no change.

Emails for Current Day are not sync with Microsoft Exchange server

I have bought a Z1 and configured my microsoft exchange server email on it. All is working well. However it is only showing emails till yesterday. I have tried all sync settings including automatic, all, one day and all others but still it is not showing emails for current day. I have also tried all sort options but still no improvement.
The same setting are working perfectly fine on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2. What is the issue and how to fix it? Please make sure i have purchased a new phone and would use the stock email app and no third party email app.
Already there is a downgrade in Z1 stock email app. It is not supporting formatted signatures and formatted outgoing emails. Which is now very common on all phones of its price and class.
What is Sony doing on its phones? i do not understand.
Please let me know how to fix my issue of most recent emails sync.

I am trying set my email (my old uni one) as the default email on my iPad. It's a microsoft exchange one. How can I do this it asks me what the server is and I have no idea how to find this out? And even if I do will that work?

An answer to a similar question on this said they (they not specified as to who) needed to enable two things POS or something and I have no idea what that means. Is it even possible to make it my default mail if it's Microsoft exchange?

If you're simply referring to adding a mail account that uses an IMAP server, the short answer is yes, it will work. What did you mean by default email? You can setup multiple mail accounts so you shouldn't have to worry about a default mail account. To setup additional accounts (or delete for that matter), you can go to Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendar>Select the Account (Delete) or Add Account.
What is your mail provider? Often you can contact your IT department, or if it's a common mail server, googling will find the server relatively easily (ie: gmail: 'Google' 'imap server for gmail'). If, by default mail, you mean your Apple ID, yes you can also create an Apple ID that uses an IMAP associated email address. Your Apple ID can pretty much be any email address as long as you have access to it to confirm the account's creation.

Ipad mini 3 can't sync with microsoft exchange email (iphone 6 can)

I have an iPhone 6 and iPad mini 3 (verizon). Both are set up the exact same. At work, I am able access Microsoft Exchange email using the iPhone mail app with wifi. (I work underground and have no access to cell service) However, the iPad Mini will not allow me to access my email over wifi using the mail app.
Here is the tricky part. 1)wifi works perfectly on the iPad Mini for all other functions (safari, other apps, etc.). 2)when I get home (or anywhere else) the iPad mini is able to access my work email without a problem. I am not using my cellular connectivity at home, so it has nothing to do with that.
Nobody at work seems to be able to figure it out. Is it a MAC address issue, IP address or a blocked port? Help me please!
All passwords and other settings are the same on the iPhone and iPad. Also, this is not a gmail exchange account. I already know that gmail does not support new exchange accounts. This is a work hosted email.

Here is what I gather from my reading:
-- delete you exchange account then re-configure. Shakes things up.
-- reboot device.
-- re-install from backup.
-- use microsoft outlook for ipad. ( some business do not allow. check. Why? caches info on amazon cloud. ) You should try as a trial at least.
2)when I get home (or anywhere else) the iPad mini is able to access my work email without a problem.
VPN vs no VPN? Would seem there is a diff here.
Re-boot ipad.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears, then drag the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears. page 128 iPad user manual.
force power down if the above give you trouble.
Hold down both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button. Ten seconds or more. Hold until the Apple logo appears.

How do I delete an old Microsoft exchange email account from my phone without it automatically deleting many of my contacts?

I have an old Microsoft Exchange Email Account on my phone that I no longer use. I never synced my contacts with this email account. Yet, if I delete it, it destroys my contacts. Do I just need to have this email account permanently on my phone? It's really annoying and I want to get rid of it, but have no idea what to do. Thanks!

If you updated your existing account then try logging out of it on the iPhone by tapping on the id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on it.
If you created a new account then any content that you purchased/downloaded via the old account will remain tied to that old account, and only that old account can download updates to its apps - you should be able to logout of the old account via Settings > Store and log in with you new account for new purchases.

IPad unread email count doesn't tally with Microsoft Exchange 2007 email count from OWA.

I discovered that when we first setup the iPad to sync email from Microsoft Exchange 2007 server via ActiveSync, the total number of unread email count tally with the count from OWA. After a few days, the unread email count will be out of sync. The settings for iPad "Mail days to syn": No limit. Mail to show: 1000. iPad iOS: 5.1.1
We performed the following:
1.     Compare email by email to verify which are the read email from OWA doesn't sync to iPad. We discovered that some emails read from OWA doesn't sync with iPad even performed forced update. However, if we delete that read email from OWA, it will delete (unread) from iPad immediately after sync.
2.     Email recall message for successful recalled displayed in OWA but not on iPad.
3.     Calendar invite message forward as email displayed in OWA but not in iPad.
Is there a bug for Microsoft Exchange 2007 or there is limitation for iPad?
Any kind expert can advice?

I am setting up up my new ipad 2. On the email icon I set up my work address thru Microsoft Exchange once I did that it did does noy give me an opportunity to see the other mail venues such as AOL or Gmail it automatically opens to my work address.

If you mean when you are reading email in the mail app.....
Tap on the word "Mailboxes" in the upper left corner of the mail app - next to the name of your Exchange email account. That will take you back to the list of all of the Mailboxes on your iPad.
The mail app will always go back to where you were when you left the app. So if you were reading mail in your Exchange account and then you leave the app (without quitting the app) it will take you back to that email that you were reading when you come back.

Choose Consolidate Library from the Advanced menu or the Library section of the File menu in iTunes, find the iTunes library location from the iTunes preferences, and move the song files inside to the new computer.

Iphone Microsoft Exchange email

Good morning,
I have read the iCloud privacy documents that imply that IMAP mail stored on mail serviers is not encrypted. However, if I am using the iPhone Microsoft Exchange ActivSync connector and the iPhone downloads and keeps a local copy of the email so I can read it off-line If I backup my phone to the iCloud does the Microsoft Exchange locally stored email get backed up? If it does not then that is great. If it does then is it encrypted or not?

Can't set up microsoft EXCHANGE EMAIL ACCOUNT

Tried everything to set up a microsoft exchange email account and the mail setup wizard tells me to go to the microsoft online website to log in instead.
Has anyone had any luck setting it up through the mail application?

Was it a hotmail or outlook . com account you were trying to setup ? Both of those accounts can only use pop without a third party program.
