Email not pushing or fetching?

My yahoo email is not pushing for fetching. However when I open the mail folder, it retrieves new emails.

also, i have 2 yahoo email accounts, 2 gmail accounts and my icloud email and none of them will push/fetch messages when imessage isn't working. so it isn't related to one particular email account.

  • Email not pushing to iPhone 5 after iOS7 update

After updating to iOS7 on a 16GB iPhone 5 my @mac.com/@me.com/@icloud.com email is no longer pushing to my device.  I still have my icloud username as @mac.com as it was prior to the iOS7 upgrade.
Does anyone else have this issue with emails not pushing?  The phone and settings are set to push.  I have another iPhone 5 that emails push to when the username is @me.com.  Do I need to change the apple ID?

  • Email not pushing

Since upgrading to iOS7 my email will not push to my iPad mini or my new phone 5s. All settings are set to push and fetch after 15 minutes. Nothing seems to come in unless I refresh the mail app. This happens to both email accounts, iCloud and gmail. I have called apple and they had me go through multiple steps such as resetting network settings, deleting and reinstating mail accounts as well as others. Still nothing. I also brought both devices to my local apple store and spoke to a Genius Bar tech. We reset the phone completely any only added email, it still will not push unless I force update through the apps pull down option. Anyone else having this issue?

I had this same issue on my first iPhone 5S.  Even out of the box with 7.0.2 with nothing else installed except one email account entered, it wouldn't reliably pull email unless I turned on the email app.  Sometimes it would, but even an hour could pass without it pulling (let alone Push).
I ended up exchanging the phone for another 5S, and it works just fine.  It works both out of the box, as well as when I sync'd all of my stuff back in.
Sorry this doesn't help you much.

  • Emails not pushed to my iPhone again

I notice today that emails are again not pushed to my iPhone. It has been working fine since the last upgrade to MobileMe. i deleted the mail account and reinstalled and the problem is still there. Emails will only be downloaded when I open the Mail application on the phone.
Anyone having the same problem over the last 12 hours or so?

Even though you have Push set to on, I'm not aware of any POP accounts that actually push. I believe you are just getting your mail via the 15 minute Fetch that you have set. And if they were truly push accounts, you would not need to turn Fetch on.
If you send yourself an email from another device to one account that you say works, does it actually get pushed? What I mean is, do you receive the mail right away, or do you only get mail every 15 minutes as you set your fetch? If you go into Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Fetch New Data>Advanced, you should see all of your email accounts listed there. What settings do you have there, push, fetch, Manual? I believe only accounts that support Push will have a selection for Push. If set to Fetch, it will fetch on the schedule you have set there, and if set on Manual, they will only check for mail when you open the Mail client. See what settings you have there.

  • 2.0.1 & 2.0.2 Exchange Email Not Pushing

Once I updated my 3G phone to 2.0.1 and now recently 2.0.2 my Exchange and Mobile Me email does not get pushed to my phone. I had no problems with emails getting pushed prior to the update. Nothing has been changed on my companies exchange server. The only way that I receive any email is to actually open the email application on the phone. It then will pull the messages from the server.
Both accounts are set to Push. I have restored my phone multiple times and the problem still exists.
    Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Yes, I've restarted, restored and set-up as a new phone. Same problems.
    I have 2 email accounts set-up:
    1. Mobile Me Account
    2. Exchange Account
Everything worked fine until these recent updates.

    01.) Plug iPhone into computer
02.) Sync the phone in order to back up your latest info.
    03.) Restore iPhone in iTunes
04.) When restore completes, ignore the "set up as new phone" or "restore from backup" screen and just unplug the phone from the computer.
05.) Once unplugged, slide to unlock and tap on the email icon.
06.) Tap on your email type to setup (for me it was gmail)
    07.) Enter your email information.
08.) Load your email and let it download a bunch of emails.
09.) Plug phone back into computer. The "set up as new phone" and "restore from backup" screen will pop up again.
10.) Choose "restore from backup" and select your last backup.
    11.) Wait until complete.

  • Emails not pushing when outlook is open

    Ladies & Gentlemen,
I need some advice on how to fix a problem.  When my outlook program on my pc is open, my mail will not push to my phone, even when I have the frequency set to 15mins.  How can I fix this.  Whenever my outlook is closed all my messages push just fine, it's just when outlook is open is when they don't sync. The only way they will push when outlook is open is when  I send the email(to my comcast acct) and continue to push the "refresh" button. But I don't have this issue with my google acct.  Please assist. Just incase someone ask.  I've had this problem with three different driod phone, with and without the  software updates.
    PC -Windows Vista
    Outlook - 2007
    Cell - Eris Droid
    Email - Comcast,net (POP3)

You may just want to say Remove Email after X days. By not removing your email most carries restrict mailbox size and you will allow it to fill up and then stop newemails from arriving. so You may want to choose Remove emails after say 3 days this way you get it on the phone and on the PC. I run mine at 1 day but thats just me....
    Thanks
    Mike

  • ICloud .me email not pushing to iOS 5 devices

First off, if this is a repeat post please direct me to the existing conversation.  As I could not find one I wanted to know if anyone is having an issue with iCloud email being pushed to iOS 5 devices?  It seems like the push feature only works when the email app is running in the background and even then it runs very slow.  Does anyone know if this is a glitch within iOS5, a server issue, settings issue, etc?
I have already tried deleting the account and re-adding it and various other "fixes" but to no avail.  I remember the horrendous rollout of MobileMe and I have a feeling that this is simply more of the same.

This is happening to me too. With my iPad with iOS 4, as soon as I received an email, even if the email app was not open I would get a badge on the app icon showing that I had a new email. With iCloud and iOS 5, push does not seem to be working properly. For example, at night I will receive several emails to my iCloud account. When I look at my iPad in the morning, the Mail icon will not show any new messages. I will actually have to open the mail app, at which point mail will check for mail and then finally show my messages in the inbox (and on the icon badge). This is even though I have push turned on. Definitely seems like bugginess in either iOS 5 or the iCloud servers...

  • Yahoo! email not pushing

Having problems recieving my yahoo email on my iPhone 4 after installing iOs 5. It sends emails (I sent test emails to my other email accounts on my phone and they went through) Just my yahoo email not coming in. I've tried everything I can think of .... help?

When I tried to check my emails, I could not connect to yahoo mail. I kept getting the message that the phone could not connect to the yahoo mail server. I just happen to go to settings / wifi and checked what network I was connected to. When i did, i found the password was missing. When I reset the password, I was able to get my iPhone to connect to the yahoo mail server. It maybe that the phone is unable to connect to the router. Sorry, I am not being more helpful with all the right tech terms. You need a password to log on to your email. You also need a password when you log onto your Internet through the router

  • Gmail -- Not Pushing or Fetching?

I've had my Gmail setup as an Exchange account for months now without issue. For the last week, I've noticed that emails do not show up (no notification) until I open the Mail app. I've switched between Fetch and Push with the same results. I've also setup my Gmail as a "Gmail" account and I'm having the same issue. Contacts and Calendar are syncing just fine, it's only an issue with email.
Has anybody else experienced the same lately? Any ideas how to resolve?

My issue was slightly different. Sending was never an issue and receiving worked...when I opened the Mail app. Not sure what changed, but notifications are working as normal now.

  • Aol email not pushing

I have an iphone. I set up two email accounts through AOL. I do not receive the emails even though I have all the settings to push.  The only way I can check new emails is to manually pull down and update. I have deleted the accounts and reinstalled them. All my settings are correct to receive emails in notifications.  Is there a fix for this or is it a software issue? I use Verizon and just upgraded to ios 6.1.

Was having the same problem, suddenly last week.  Sounds crazy, but turn off Push and leave on Fetch...started getting notifications and new mail right away.

  • Calendar not pushing or fetching from iphone to imac

I seem to be having some issues with the Calendar too - I see a couple of other questions in here but none answered as yet.
If I make a calendar appointment on the iphone it can take days to show up on iCal on the mac. I have mobile me - it works for other things (mail) and now that I think about it - contacts are slow to update too. I made an appointment at 8pm last night and as of almost 10am today it still isn't showing. Push is set to ON and fetch is set to hourly as a backup - but nothing. Even when I go to the application on the iphone it does not seem to do a manual check. I've also opened iCal on the iMac - nothing. Any suggestions? It's quite frustrating when stuff is so out of sync - particularly when that's the job of mobile me.
Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Try this... On your Mac, launch system prefs and open the 'moble me' pref (previously '.mac'). Choose the 'Sync' tab and make sure all of the items you wish to sync from your Mac are checked. Then make sure the setting for how often you wish to sync is set to your needs (setting is directly above list of check boxes). You can set it to 'Automatically' of which I'm not sure how often that is, but I have mine set to daily. I don't update my calendar much, so not a problem for me. You can also show iSync in the menu bar to give you the option of syncing at any time.
    Good luck,
    John

  • Email not pushing using wifi only network

My email is only pushing using the network and not wifi, help please

        jal88,
Thank you for the details, this is odd but we want to get to the bottom of this. Have you tried resetting the wi-fi router? Since all the phones have this problem we want to start there. What is the domain of the email addresses you're trying to use with the phones?

  • Emails not pushing through

I have the iPhone 3GS (for not even a year yet). I recently did the latest firmware update. But the last 2 or 3 days, my email doesn't seem to be coming through. My settings have always been set to Push and Manually. I never changed anything. I tried setting it to Every 15 Minutes. Not much of a change. They just don't seem to be coming through. I've rebooted the phone several times. If I go into my Inbox, it will just sit at Connecting....and I watch my battery life drop and drop. Any ideas? This is pretty annoying.

    Hi there
I’m sorry to hear that your emails do not appear to be syncing with your iPhone! I’d be happy to help! If no emails reach your device, it may point to an issue with connecting to the server. A setting may have changed on the provider’s end.
I would recommend first attempting to remove the synced account on your device. To do so:
From the Home screen, navigate: Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
From the Accounts section, tap an email account.
    Tap Delete Account.
Tap Delete Account or Delete from My iPhone to confirm.
Now we can re-add the account by following these steps:
Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
Tap the "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" tab.
    Tap "Add Account..."
Choose the type of account you want to add.
Follow the on-screen prompts to sign in to your account

    I hope this helps!
