Still happens with 10.6.2.
It clearly states in mail help that this should happen -- yet it does not.

  • Calendar not synchronizing with Exchange server

2 weeks after upgrading to OS X 10.9.4 Calendar is not synchronizing with our university Exchange server. Problem is with 2 different computers, iMAC and MacBook Air (both with ethernet and wifi)). Mail is working/synchronizing fine. Outlook calendar (on both same Macs and Parallels PC) is synchronizing fine. iCLOUD events are shown.
Noticed that it is a one-way problem- not downloading/synchronizing from the server but events entered on both problematic Calenders are found in Outlook (and of course in the OutlookWebApplication). Practically I can't work anymore with Calendar.
Tried to delete Caches - didn't help. Tried to restore old preferences- didn't help. Any help? Thanks!!

  • Outlook 14.4.8 not synchronizing with Exchange 2007 anymore (shows "downloading" but no new messages shown in inbox"

Outlook 14.4.8 on iMAC Retina and Yosemite 10.10.2 is not synchronizing with Exchange 2007 anymore (shows "downloading" but no new messages shown in inbox".
Accessing Mails with Webbrowser and from Windows Outlook is working correctly.
All Macs (also the ones with OS 10.6.8) do not anymore show any new messages in inbox.
Restarted Server, tried to disable autodiscover on macs and deleting/adding account and repairing database does not fix the problem. Also restarted server several times.
We have the same problem on 2 imacs retina with yosemite and on 2 mac pro with 10.6.8 and different office 2011 versions.
i tried to configure the exchange account in apple mail on yosemite and it also states "connected" and does list some folders but no new mails are getting in.
Windows clients and outlook on them works and syncs fine, and also when connecting via webbrowser at owa it must be a mac-specific/webdav issue.
exchange 2007 Sp3 Version 8.3 (bild 83.6) and Update Rollup 15 for sp3 (automatic updates "HIGH" for server and clients)
there is one update popping up again and again even after everytime successull installation: Windows Mlicious Software Removal Tool x64 - October 2010.
i tried to configure a new user with empty mailbox and configured it with microsoft mail (mac - yosemite)  as exchange and was able to send a mail from there (even if quite delayed).
but there are not coming in any mails.
same exchange accounts triggered by imap do work and also via owa.
Exchange Accounts in Outlook for MAC and also in Mail (Yosemite) do show the folder structures but there is no mails showing up. I can send mails from the exchange accounts created but they seem to be processed with a delay of like 15minutes and outlook
is giving error "end of file reached" but messages are send after some time.
Does seem like EWS is extremely slow, to slow perhaps to sync and therefore ending in timeout.
Also i cannot reach the server from externally over ssl https 443. if testing port 443 of exchange from outside the port seems closed even firewall settings of sbs 2008 and sonicwall ports are correctly open.
could it be there is something in regarding webdav which is very slow and leading to timeouts ?
in application log i do have the following two information events every few minute:

    Hi,
Since Outlook running on Windows works well, it seems an issue on the Mac side. I suggest ask Mac for help so that you can get more professional suggestions.

  • CUIC not synchronizing with NTP server

    Hi all,
I am working with a customer who has CUIC 8.0(4)
Recently, we installed the RTMT tool in the Operations Console and noticed an alert indicating the server is not synchronizing with NTP.
After running the command "utils ntp status", I got the following output
    admin:utils ntp status
    ntpd (pid 17892) is running...

I restarted the CUIC server, removed and re-added the two IPs as NTP servers, and changed the registry as recommended in this link:
    http://htluo.blogspot.com/2009/02/ntp-network-time-protocol.html
But the problem is still there.
Any advice? I am taking the same action plan as if it was a CUCM instead of CUIC since they have the same OS (because CUIC issues are not that common) and I welcome any suggestion that applies with CUCM.
    Appreciate your replies,
    Sahar Hanna

    Hi Anand,
    Thanks for the reply.
It seems in the above link that the CUIC version is 8.5.x mine is 8.0.x so I don't know if it applies also here
In addition, I found out that this problem is a bug CSCte17541 and the workaround is to point all systems to a reliable UNIX NTP source, or a Cisco Router running NTP

  • Calendar will not sync with Exchange server or most Google Calendars

    Hi,
I am writing about my wife's brand new Samsung Charge on Verizon. We managed to setup both her gmail account and her work exchange server account fine, except for the calendars:
Her Google calendar shows up fine, but I am unable to even see any other Google calendars that she has access to (both her own secondary calendars as well as calendars that others have shared with her) in order to select them to be visible.
Her exchange calendar says it is enabled (on the list of available calendars), but no events at all show up.
This behavior is with the latest software updates on the Charge (2.2.1 firmware, I510.EE4 build) using its stock calendar software. I did notice that if I use Smooth Calendar, it does list all of her Google calendars under its listing of available calendars, but it still only shows data from her primary calendar. This is also true using the Touch Calendar app, which leads me to believe that there is some problem within the Google Calendar sync software that is not allowing her calendars to appear correctly.
    Thanks!

    Hello whereizben,
I see you have posted same post in another thread.  I have already replied to that posting with a solution.  Please see the following link for my reply:

  • Mavericks Mail not working properly with Exchange server after upgrade from Lion

Mail will no longer maintain a stable connection to my company's Exchange server after upgrading to Mavericks from Lion.  Nothing has been changed on the Exchange server.  It has only partially downloaded the messages that are on the server.  It seems to download current messages when they hit the server.  It has difficulty sending messages.  When I send a message, it gets stuck in the Outbox.  It is constantly losing the connection to the server.  The problem is only occuring with Exchange email.  My iCloud email works properly as well as a POP3 account.

No shortage of pre-existing threads on Mavericks mail issues...

  • Outlook 2013 not connect with Exchange server 2013 in internal network

    Hello All,
I Have two Exchange server 2013 in our environment. Both server install mailbox and CAS role. After configure exchange server 2013, Outlook 2013 not connect in internal network. I have configure outlook manually. i tried by using the suggestion from blog
but not work. Outlook show that Server cannot connect/ server name could not be resolved. in outlook setting i also put exchange proxy setting. In exchange admin center i have changed the OWA, OAB, Auto discover name. But still not work.
I know that outlook can be connect from external by using ssl certificate and publish outlook anywhere but i did my configure from internal network.
Can you please suggest as soon as possible.
    Thanks,
    Parvez

    Hi,
Firstly, I’d like to explain, same with external users, internal users use Outlook Anywhere to connect with Exchange server and use Autodiscover get all settings.
Thus, let’s try the following resolutions:
    1. run the following command: get-clientaccessservice |fl autodiscoverserviceinternaluri
    2. check if the host name in the above URL is in the DNS server and there is a DNS entry about the host name points to the proper IP address.
    3. Check if the above host name is in your certificate.
    Thanks,
    Angela

  • Mail not deleting off Exchange server when deleted offline

Here's a new issue. I use Mail to connect to multiple email accounts - one of them is on an Exchange server. When working online everything works fine. But, when I'm working offline (like on an airplane) and I delete items, when I get back online those deletions do not sync with the server.
Any ideas? This seems to be a new problem (I recently got a MacbookAir, but have been doing this with an older Mac for years).
Also, I use this same Exchange account with an iPad and an iPhone and it works fine.
Hopefully someone will tell me that this is a new problem and it will be fixed in 10.6.7.
    Thanks,
    David

Thank you very much.  That makes perfect sense and I'm sure your right.
However I'd have no idea what address to put and where.  (DNS/Port forwarding/Firewall in router settings?).  Before you say ask your IT man in the office; thats me, (very small company!).  I'd have to outsource this one to our IT guys and at a few hundred quid for a call out I might give that a miss.
I imagine people would need to see my router setting etc so that probably ends this there?  Unless there is just an obvious place to find the info that I'm missing?

  • Daily Problems with Mail Synchronizing with Exchange Server

Our office uses Comcast Business Class Service, which uses 2007 Exchange Servers, for internet access and email. I upgraded my MacPro from 10.5.8 to Snow Leopard 10.6.2, using the Upgrade DVD. The upgrade process kept my original Leopard Mail settings, which were using POP. At that time, I had not problems with email.
Unfortunately, awhile ago my Mail Preferences became corrupt, and I had to delete them. Upon relaunching Mail, the application wanted to use the new Autosync method to connect to the Comcast Exchange Server. Using POP was not an option.
I must say that I am less than impressed with the way Mail integrates with Exchange Servers. I have daily problems, and experience these problems multiple times per day. When they happen, they slow my email communication down to a crawl; sometimes for as much as an hour.
Specifically, the problem appears to be with Mail's ability (or inability) to properly synchronize with Exchange Servers. I get he spinning pizza icons next to the two Exchange email accounts I have in my Mailboxes source column. Opening the Activity window shows that the synchronizing process has slowed everything down. This results in not being able to send or receive email until the synchronizing is complete. And as I said, that can sometimes take as long as an hour.
Stopping the process in the Activity window does not resolve the issue. Nor does quitting and relaunching Mail. Because the next time Mail attempts to connect to the Exchange Server, it will try to synchronize yet again. The problem has become so chronic, that I often have to resort to using Webmail while waiting of the synchronizing process to complete.
Incidentally, the mailboxes that are synchronizing are empty! I am meticulous about keeping my Inbox, Sent, Drafts, and Trash mailboxes empty at all times. I do not use To-Do's, Notes, or Calendars of any kind on the Exchange Server, so there is no data to even sync!
Has anyone else experienced this problem and found a fix? Other email accounts I have, which use POP or IMAP, do not have this issue. There does not appear to be away to abandon the Autosync Mail setup and revert back to POP. If there is, I will do it in a heartbeat.
    Thanks.

Found a solution that works for me. Delete the problem account that's using AutoDiscover to sync with the exchange server. Before doing that, however, you will want to clear out the Inbox, Sent and even Trash folder for that account, as deleting it will remove the messages that currently reside in those folders. Just simply move them to another folder. You can move them back after re-creating the account.
The second step is to re-create the account. Do this as you would normally, and enter in your name, username and password. THE TRICK: Press and hold the Option key when you click Continue. After Mail connects to the server and verifies your account information, you will then have a pull down menu that will allow you to choose Exchange Server, IMAP and POP. Simply select POP or IMAP, then fill out the rest of the fields.
Viola! No more problematic Exchange Server syncing issues.

  • Agenda can not communicate with Exchange server

    Hello,
Whenever I start my agenda app on my MBP, I get the message: Agenda can not store the agenda <name> on the Exchange server. I use Office 365's Exchange server. When I use Outlook to communicate with te same Exchange server, there is no problem, but I like to use the native Apple Agenda app.
Anybody got the same problem, and more important, the solution?

Justin, I don't know if this will help but I do remember running into this in the past.
I ended up setting up my mail using our webmail server.  Also instead of using my email address I used my login credential in front of the @. Our login credential is not the same as our email.  So instead of [email protected] I went with [email protected] and used my password for password at setup of an exchange account.  This worked like a charm.

  • IMAP still not synching with Exchange Server... Come on Apple!

I have IMAP set up to my company server from the iPad. Reason being so that I can manage emails (delete, move to folders etc) whilst working off-line.
But any changes made via the iPad are not synching and updating on the Exchange Server once back on-line.
Really hoped iOS4 would fix this, but no. This really is the most useless tool for a regular business traveller. Not being able to catch up on email and sort, delete, reply etc on short haul European flights is in-excusable for a 2010 business tool Apple!
    Unless I'm missing something??!!
    Message was edited by: Tuskaa7

    Yes thanks Graham.
It is a big oversight in my mind and one which makes me carry a laptop most times, somewhat negating the need for the iPad. Thus actually adding a business tool I need to carry, rather than reduce in size and weight etc. I real shame for me and one which actually makes the iPad almost redundant most of the time.
I know having searched these forums and speaking with colleagues etc, it is a common feeling and one which Apple should address asap in my mind.
    Thanks anyway,
    Keith

  • IPhone not syncing with Exchange server

I'm having an issue with IOS 5.1.1.  Since Monday, my iPhone is downloading emails from my Exchange (outlook) account like it always has, the problem is, when I delete an email in Outlook, it's not deleting from my phone.  Similarly, reading an email in Outlook doesn't mark it as "read" on my phone.  This leaves me at the end of the day with hundreds of unread/extraneous emails on my phone that I have already addressed, filed or deleted in Outlook.  How do I correct this?
This is weird because it has worked correctly with everything syncing properly up until this week, and I did not update anything.
I'm using a PC for the Outlook - same PC as always, and no updates unless my company updated something remotely without my knowledge.
I have set up my email account using the "Exchange" option when I added it.  Already tried deleting and re-adding the account (twice).
    Thank you!

As I had said in my earlier post, my problem was with outlook being slow in updating exchange.
However, this does not explain your symptoms with OWA.
When I used OWA, the "state" seen by OWA and the iPhone matched (what was read, was read; what was not, was not).  However, Outlook (in my case, Outlook on the Mac - Office 2011) was way behind in updating this state.  If you read something in Outlook, it could take a very long time to reflect this state back to the Exchange Server.
Part of the reason for this was that I had a lot of stuff, both in my inbox and in my deleted mail.  I had to clear this out to allow Outlook on the Mac to perform at all well.
Are you sure that OWA is aligned with Outlook?  OWA is a direct view into the server state, and should match server state.  Outlook and the iPhone mail app are accessing the server, and have the opportunity (at least) to not show the current state of the server (bugs, delays, performance, etc).
If OWA and Outlook are really correctly in sync, and it has to be an Apple problem or a problem in the exchange server interface Apple is using.  But this was not my experience.

  • TS3276 OS X Mavericks Mail does not sync with Exchange Server

After moving to Mavericks, mail, contacts, anc calendars do not sync with our exchange server. It will set up the first time and then stop sycning. Is there a way to delete the mail app and reinstall. All other Apple devices sync with the exchange server with no issues.

It was my DNS settings. I had my Airpot pointing to OpenDNS, and for some reason iCal and Address Book could not find their way to my exchange server. I changed the setting to use my ISP's DNS and now everything works fine.

  • Exchange inbox on phone not current with Exchange server.

Hello all, apologies if this has been put somewere else, i've spent a few days searching to no avail.
    So here we go.
The details on the software involved in the problem:
    iPhone 2.2
    Entourage 2008
I have my email on my works exchange server.
I have both Entourage and the iPhone pointing towards the same webmail link on the server.
When I delete a mail from my iPhone, it syncs over nicely and it deletes from my Entourage, and also from the webmail (server) login I have.
However, when I delete from Entourage, it does NOT delete on the iPhone, nor on webmail (server).
I've deleted the Exchange account, re-entered it, as well as wiping the phone and syncing as a "new" phone.
All of this happened when I recently had a problem with my new iPod I got for Christmas, and had to delete and reinstall iTunes. Since then, kaplooey on the perfect email sync on the phone
I'm more than open to suggestions!
    Thanks so much!
    Kris

However, when I delete from Entourage, it does NOT delete on the iPhone, nor on webmail (server).
This is not a problem with your iPhone or with your iPhone's mail client - this problem is with Entourage, and re-installing iTunes has no effect on a problem with Entourage and the Exchange server. The sync process with your Exchange account on your iPhone is working properly.
