Email not working on ipad anymore

I recently had to change my email password because somehow my email got hacked on one of my apple devices. I have a MacBook
, iPhone and iPad. Anyway, I went to access my email on my ipad after I changed my password, and it asked to verify the password which I did and it doesn't recognize it. So, I remove the email account on the ipad and try to set it up again and it still does not recognize it. I tried the old password too but that didn't work. Error msg states "user name or password to your pop3.live.com account is incorrect". Please help. Thanks

Try to use an alternate Internet connection if available:
Try a different Wi-Fi connection
If your iOS device has an active cellular data plan, tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn off Wi-Fi.
If the affected email account is provided by your Internet provider, see if your issue is resolved while connected to your home Wi-Fi network.*
Log in to your email provider's website to ensure that the account is active and the password is correct.
Restart your iOS device.
Delete the affected email account from your device.
Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Choose the affected email account, then tap Delete Account.
Add your account again.

Thank you. Before you tried to help. I decided I had not turned my ipad off in a few days, so I tried that. Didn't work, so I closed all opened stuff, considered clearing cache, but was not ready to close this help place so didn't do that. I tried once more since closing everything including this help place, which included closing safari where I had logged into my mail when not connecting to the server on ipad. So then tried the iPad mail once more, HAD TO RESIGN IN ON THE IPAD then mail came up, so we will see how long that lasts. But thank you for giving me a suggestion to try.

Email not working on iPad

For the third time this year, my iPad does not pick up my BT Mail. I can still get into it through the webpage (so I know it is there), but no synchronisation with the mail program. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the mailboxes on the iPad. .... still nothing. No problem with other service providers, but last BT Mail synchronisation was 14.08 yesterday

I had similar problem - emails stopped downloading to my BT Internet account on iPhone. I picked up Jumbo's tip (to delete BT Internet account from iPhone and) and add under Yahoo! - it worked! Not at all sure how this happened, but annoyed that BT and/or Yahoo! playing silly beggars with my account. Does not give me confidence! Grateful for Jumbo's tip, anyway, as it was driving me nuts not being able to pick up mail on iPhone for about a week.

Gmail push email not working on iPad 2 wifi.

Hi all!
I'm having a somewhat annoying issue with my iPad. It's not receiving any mail via push, instead I have to manually fetch them every time. In spite of the push-settings and rebooting. For some reason my iPhone does get the push email, and so when I hear the new mail-sound from my iphone, I go check it from my iPad. Frankly, it seems a bit redundant.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

I am having the same issue. Is there any resolutions yet?
I have done standard correction stuff.
eg:
- Restarted the iPad
- Disconnected the WiFi & 3G connections. Then reconnected.
- etc

In Settings>Mail, Contacts... there is a section that lists email accounts that the Mail app accesses. You should have one for Yahoo, just look through its settings and be sure you have the right servers (outgoing and incoming) listed. You get those addresses from Yahoo, go to their web site and look around for info on accessing their email servers.

All resolved at last
Deleted the SMTP setting
Recreated the SMTP using the same settings
Able to send emails now
No logic - as usual - just a bug!

I have just upgrade Itunes (10.6.3.25) and now I can not see my Ipad anymore. before the upgrade it was working fine. I already tried all suggestions from the support page, except re-installing Itunes. any suggestions?

Yes. Reinstall iTunes. If that is the point at which you stopped trying the support suggestions then it makes sense to me, that you move on to the next suggestion and if reinstalling iTunes is the next suggestion, so be it.
However .... I too have issues that arise out of the blue with my iPad being recognized in iTunes and what I always do and it eventually works is to quit iTunes, restart my MacBook, and reboot my iPad.
Rebooting the iPad is the last thing that I do and only if I have no success with quitting iTunes and restarting the Mac. It may take a few tries to work, but if you are that dead set against reinstalling iTunes, then give it a try.

then maybe your carrier block the required ports your mail provider need in order to send you mails

Get message - Outgoing server failed.
Problem started last night.
I'm in Northern California.
Never had this problem before, dont know what to do next.

I still can't make it work on the iPhone5 or iPad.
I can't figure out how to switch outgoing servers on the iP5 or iPad.
On the MBPro I can use a different outgoing server and it works.

Quicklook (jpg) is not working in iPad Air; only option is airdrop or sharing/opening in the apps - Flickr, Dropbox, PS, etc.

Are you saying that when you receive an email that has a photo attached you cannot see it in the Msil app?
Try quitting the mail app and then reset the iPad.
Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

My Yahoo email is not working on ipad and iphone.

I have two yahoo accounts and I randomly have them mess up on my computer, both at work and home. ANd it's all on Yahoo's end. It's supposed to delete and go to the next mail, but sometimes it randomly puts me back in the main mail list. Sometimes it won't delete at all, other times I can't access it....just exceedingly inconsistent.
IMHO, they're trying to bring so much into it to make it a communication hub, but it's just interfacing with too much and can't keep up.
The long and short, if your yahoo mail is malfunctioning, chances are it's on their end so users just have to wait it out or find work arounds....such as using the yahoo app or accessing the webmail via safari if the mail app isn't working.

Could you provide more details about how the search service doesn’t work?
Are the search service unable to be started in CA -> Application Management -> Manage services on server? Or did you find it not working when you did searching? If that is the case, could you provide the error about
it?

ICloud Contact Groups Not Working on iPad

I made a contact list on iCloud.com via my Mac Book (OS X Yosemite). The groups I created there do not work with iPad Air 2 mail. They show up on the iPad, but I cannot send emails to my groups. What do I need to do to make groups work?

Maybe the backup is corrupted.
Turn off iCloud backup and try deleting the iCloud backup for the iPad.
iCloud: Remove an iOS device backup from iCloud - Support - Apple
Then turn it back on and try to backup.
You can also try removing your iCloud account from the device and then re-add it.
Note: This will cause you to lose everything but the last 30 days of photos in your My Photo Stream so take precautions.
