Email Notification - Vibrates too much

I'm having an issue with my iPhone4, and I haven't been able to find a solution, cause, or even someone with the same problem....
I always leave my phone on vibrate, and have it set to vibrate when a new email message is received. This should equate to the phone vibrating once whenever a new message is received (I'm using the Mail app). But it doesn't. Instead, once I receive a new email, the phone will vibrate once every two seconds (literally) until I read the message. It never used to do this, but its been going on for about a month now. I've tried updating to the latest iOS version, restarting the phone and cycling my notification settings; all with no success.
Does anyone else have this problem, or (better yet) have any idea what the solution might be?

VIbration only has two settings: on and off. No other adjustments are possible. Sorry.

I unchecked receive notification via email, but I still get tons of emails.
What else can I do to stop the email notification?

On my iphone 3G, I used to get email notifications without checking manually, on my iphone 4 not so much.I went to the Genius bar and they had me send a test message while I was there and i got a notification right away, but prob still exist w/ mobile me.

I just want to know why I have to open my mail app to get my emails. On my 3GS I used to get notified without opening the mail app and now on my 4 i don't get the same functionality. I have a mobile me account, and I have my settings set to receive push notifications every 15 minutes....what gives?

If you are getting Siri when you double tap, then your home button must be sticking. Siri comes up when you hold the home button. Try tapping quickly twice. When that happens, the multi-tasking list comes up and you will see the app icon and then a thumbnail, or reduced size view of the app above it. You put your finger on that thumbnail and swipe upwards with your finger.
For that issue, you might want to do a reset of the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. This will not affect your data.
To be honest, your novel is a little difficult to read, and I think you put too much information in there, and a lot of it is unnecessary. Be to the point and just add information necessary to understand the issue.

Ok so I happened to figure it out while on the phone to apple support. Even though the guy was very nice, I think I knew more than him! He was explaining very basic resolution principles I played about. I had the second option in displays resolution. All I did was unplug the HDMI cable, click on 'best for display' then plugged the HDMI in and my resolution on the normal monitor changed to the normal blue, then went black momentarily and then changed to a strange resolution but another window appeared that said SONY BRAVIA HDMI at the top! Hey presto! Don't know why it didn't do it yesterday - I probably left the HDMI cable in or something! Oh well. Problem solved!

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

Starting earlier today, this also became my problem - can receive but not send in Entourage. The account settings are correct in Entourage - I even created a new account. My Mac running 10.7.5 won't read the original Office : MAC 2008 disk, so I can't do a fix or reinstall from the disk.
This is not an issue if I log onto the Comcast site.
And so, I started using Mail but, unlike Entourage, Mail won't import my Entourage info.

When I burn a slideshow from wondershare fantashow the music is to loud even when I play it on the tv and turn the tv down the music burned on the dvd is still too loud and has a vibrating sound like too much volume.

Hadn't heard of it before today!
There are many ways to produce slide shows using iPhoto, iMovie or iDVD and some limit the number of photos you can use (iDVD has a 99 chapter (slide) limitation).
If what you want is what I want, namely to be able to use high resolution photos (even 300 dpi tiff files), to pan and zoom individual photos, use a variety of transitions, to add and edit music or commentary, place text exactly where you want it, and to end up with a DVD that looks good on both your Mac and a TV - in other words end up with and end result that does not look like an old fashioned slide show from a projector - you may be interested in how I do it. You don't have to do it my way, but the following may be food for thought!
Firstly you need proper software to assemble the photos, decide on the duration of each, the transitions you want to use, and how to pan and zoom individual photos where required, and add proper titles. For this I use Photo to Movie. You can read about what it can do on their website:

(Other users here use the alternative FotoMagico: http://www.boinx.com/fotomagico/homevspro/ which you may prefer - I have no experience with it.)
Neither of these are freeware, but are worth the investment if you are going to do a lot of slide shows. Read about them in detail, then decide which one you feel is best suited to your needs.
Once you have timed and arranged and manipulated the photos to your liking in Photo to Movie, it exports the file to iMovie as a DV stream. You can add music in Photo to Movie, but I prefer doing this in iMovie where it is easier to edit. You can now further edit the slide show in iMovie just as you would a movie, including adding other video clips, then send it to iDVD 7, or Toast, for burning.
You will be pleasantly surprised at how professional the results can be!
To simply create a slide show in iDVD 7 onwards from images in iPhoto or stored in other places on your hard disk or a connected server, look here:

If your phone was NEVER jailbroken or hacked to unlock, try these steps as needed:
1. Reset phone (no data loss): Press both home and power buttons for at least 10 seconds, releasing when the Apple logo appears.
2. Restore phone in iTunes using a backup (no data loss)
3. Restore phone in iTunes as new, without using a backup.

Hello everybody,First of all I have to say that I'm not a Netapp expert as you will see.After some time without receivng the autosupport, with the help of NetApp support we solved that problem.Now I receive daily one mail with performance data and one mail fron each storage. Each mail contains about 20 files. Some of them compressed and some plain text files. Too much information. Also I supose ver complete information. But I can't analyze daily those files.The problem that I have is that I'm not an expert.In our IT Dept we are two people and we receive similar information from other resources: Backup copies results, VmWare chenges of status, and so on.When we receive those mails we only check if in the boy of the e-mail some error is metioned.I wonder if NetApp (our storages) is capable to send me an e-mail only with relevant error messages. Please undestand me. All this information is very useful to solve problems and know the storage status, but is too much information if I need only to notice that "there is a problem". EM sending Email Notifications to late

Hello at all,
On a test instance with Oracle 11gR2 with Enterprise Manager Database Control I try to activate the Email Notifications in Enterprise Manager, so that I can use them for monitoring.
So i configured following settings:
Under Setup -> Notification method I gave him a valid mail address with a vaild SMTP server. The test mail was send successfully.
Under Preferences -> General i gave SYS a valid mail address to receive. The execution plan i let in standard configuration, so everytime at everyday i will get an email, when something happenes. the test mail was send successfully too.
Now i created an own rule to test the configuration:
I went to Preferences -> Rules an add an rule. Name and description I named "test" and set "database instance". At availabillity I activated all checkboxed, so i should be informed when the instance goes down, comes up, getting an error, when the error is fixed, when agent is not available, when agebt is available again, when there is a metric error, when the metic error is fixed, when a blackout starts and when it ends.
Metrics, policies and jobs ther wasn't defined anythind in standard, so i let it so and set nothing here.
I activate the checkbox for sending emails to sys and sending repeat emails every 15 minutes 3 times at all.
Now, to test this notification i logged into my testserver and killed the listener process, to see, what will happened. After 1 Hour waiting i didn't get any email, so i restartet the listener. after the listener was startet my outlook was fluted by emails from the server, that the listener was down. But why i didn't get them earlier.
I checked the procedure with the database to, here i get it down by "shutdown abort" and "shutdown immediate". But i get the mails, that the database is down, when its up already. And thats to late!
When I want to use such email notifications for productive servers and someting is going wrong, for that a notifications is configured of course, I want to get the mail directly, when that happened and not, hen the problem is fixed!
For example, here an email from testing, where the listener was down, that i've get at 13:01 :

In the document i read much about directories like: $ORACLE_HOME/oes/admin. My problem here is, that i haven't such directories so i think i'm not using oesmon.
Should i have to use this?

Email notification center not working on iPhone5

My email notification center on the new iPhone5 does not appear to be responding to changes that I make.
For example. Whenever I'm at the office, I don't need my phone to notify me of every email that comes in. So I go into NOTIFICATIONS, EMAIL, and I turn "notification center" off. I also switch the alert style to NONE. However, I still see my phone light up whenever a new email comes through and the alert shows on the middle of the screen.
I've discovered that if I power cycle the phone, SOMETIMES, the setting will take.
I've gone from Blackberry to Android, and now to iPhone. The one feature that the BB did have which I loved was that you could very easily set all of your ringtones, alerts, etc... based upon a predifined notificatios app. for instance, If I chose 'Office", my phone would be set to vibrate for incoming calls and text messages, but nothing else. If picked "Home" it would ring for everything (phone calls, text messages, email, FaceBook, etc...). If I picked "Sleeping" it would would ring Only incoming calls and text messages.
I see that iPhone has attempted to do this with the DO NOT DISTURB option. I can quickly turn everything off with the exception of incoming calls. It would be nice if this option was more advanced and allowed me to set how I want each of my notifications to work, depending on which setting i picked.
I'm curiose as to whether or not any apps exist to allow this functionality. I have not been able to find one.

Do you see the same Notification Center on the Lock Screen as in the Home Screen?

Apple: make sure you work on this stuff really fast, it's very anoing what you are doing here. I need the NotificationCenter on the LockScreen, with the Favorites contacts there too. Just learn from the jailbreak software, NOW !
I bet it's not a mistake, it's just the way Apple think it's better for me. They are so smart they know what's better for me all the time. Just plain WRONG !!!

Customizing / Creating Email Notifications

Ok, so I have asked this question already in an earlier post. About creating/formulating E-mail Notifications, based on Information gathered/input in a Customized User Form.
Here is a copy of my previous posting

I am in the process of customizing User Forms, and I would like to implement a trigger (if that's the right name for it) in the XML script, which will execute a Rule (or some code) that will result in an email being sent.
For example, the following simple script (selection from a dropdown menu) :

But, if he selects "Yes", then I would like to automatically send an Email Notification to the appropriate person, notifying him that lunch has been ordered. (of course, I would need to indicate such things as WHO ordered the lunch, WHEN, etc, etc. But, I will get into that later)
Does anyone know how this can be done?

Defining a rule is relatively simple and is pretty well documented and there are existing examples in a default install of IDM that you can check-out and use as reference templates.

- rule definition
- rule execution
- an explanation of the various stages of form processing
- an explanation of the various stages of workflow processing
- how to call sub-tasks
- how to customize sub-tasks
- how to define email templates
There's a lot there. You need to take some of what has been told to you in the forum and use that to guide your search in the existing documentation.

The answer is yes, but you're on your own in determining how to do that. You've become quite the jerk in this forum. Read the docs, go on some training if you can afford it. What you need to know about how to implement rules, email templates and custom notifications is all there.

How do I turn off email notifications every time I use iCloud on my iPad?

Since I loaded 8.0.2 every time I use my iPad mail or app store I get an email notification that someone just logged in using my apple id. How do i stop that?

I Like rotation too much to turn it off. I was just reading an Apple support forum, and there are lots of others that think there should be a controller for this feature as you call it.
