Email Notifications on Request Creation

Hello,
Is it possible to disable or turn off the request creation notification for the technicians/teams, but leave enabled for the customer? We would like the customer to get the email notifying them that the request was received by the system. Our techs do not wish to get an email every time a request is opened by a customer, but would still like the other notification emails on notes add, status change, etc...
We have the team setup to use a queue. The options for Notify on New are Technician, Layer and Team, but nothing for disabling it. Is there a way to change this elsewhere?
Thanks,

  • USER EXIT: Email notification after PO creation

    Hi everyone!
    May I know if there exists a User Exit / BAdI in this following scenario:
    1. An email notification outside SAP is sent whenever there is a creation of PO (Purchase Doc)?
    Please advise if this is possible.
    Points will be rewarded for useful suggestions.
    Thank you very much in advance!

    Instead of User-Exit/BADI use Output type technique. Via Output Type you can send notification mail. Discuss on the same with your functional consultant.

  • Email Notification to Requester Manager

    Hi All,
       I am using following product...
      IDM 11g R2 (BP03), SOA 11g
    I want to send the Email notification to the Requester Manager  (my workflow is working fine, resource is getting approved and provisioned properly by Manager) I have made all the required settings in SOA for Enabling Email notifications along-with enabling 'RequestNotificationLevel=1' in OIM.
    (I have tested above with SMTP Provider / UMS Provider.)
    The Requester is getting all the notifications i.e 'Request Created' and 'Request Status Change' notifications.
    Notification composite being used  is "default/RequesterManagerApproval!1.0"  in Approval Policy.
    Its Only That the Manager is not getting any notification. What can be done to send the Notification to the Manager in his mail box (just like being received by requester) so that he knows that some request has been generated for his approval.
    Thanks and Regards....

    You're probably going to have to create a custom SOA-Composite and build your own notifications into it.  Either that, or use the Request Status event handler, and custom code retrieving the person you want, and then using the notification service APIs to send an email to them.  Using OOTB approvals, you aren't going to be able to get the result you want.

  • OIM11g: Send Email Notification after request is submitted/rejected

    Hi,
    For OIM 11g version 11.1.1.3 I've implemented an approval workflow (SelfRegistrationApproval) based on the Oracle OBE guide: "developing_oim_custom_approval_process_for_self_registration" and I've followed this guide to the teeth making no customizations. Right now I'm only able to get an email notification sent out to the requestor once the request has been approved. What I'm having trouble with is getting an email notification sent out when the request has been rejected. Does anyone know how to trigger an email notification to be sent out to the initiator of the request once the reject button is clicked in OIM?
    Thanks.

    any suggestion...

  • ISE Guest Email Notification (Guest account creation)

    When a guest user creates an account in ISE, it sends a system generated email with the username/password. It says "Welcome to the Guest Portal, your username ise xxx and password is yyy." Is there anywhere in ISE (1.2) to change this text, especially the name 'Guest Portal'? I thought it was in language templates > Configure Miscellaneous Items > Portal Name. But I changed this to the portal name, and it was not reflected in the email. Thanks.

    Josh,
    Right now, it's pretty limited.  Here is the template to be used for formatting the email notifications:
    E-Mail Notification Template
    The following is an example of the login information for the body of an e-mail in an English language template:
    Welcome to the Guest Portal, your username is $username$ and password is $password$
    The $username$ and $password$ strings will be replaced with the username and password values from the Guest User account.
    In the e-mail body, you can use special variables to provide the details for the created guest account. When  using these variables, you must use all uppercase or all lowercase  letters, and you cannot mix them. For example, the string for username  can be either $USERNAME$ or $username%, but it cannot be $UserName$.
    You can use these variables in the e-mail notification template:
    •$USERNAME$ = The username created for the guest.
    •$PASSWORD$ = The password created for the guest.
    •$STARTTIME$ = The time from which the guest account will be valid.
    •$ENDTIME$ = The time at which the guest account will expire.
    •$FIRSTNAME$ = The first name of the guest.
    •$LASTNAME$ = The last name of the guest.
    •$EMAIL$ = The e-mail address of the guest.
    •$TIMEZONE$ = The time zone of the user.
    •$MOBILENUMBER$ = The mobile number of the guest.
    •$OPTION1$ = Optional field for editing.
    •$OPTION2$ = Optional field for editing.
    •$OPTION3$ = Optional field for editing.
    •$OPTION4$ = Optional field for editing.
    •$OPTION5$ = Optional field for editing.
    •$DURATION$ = Duration of time for which the account will be valid.
    •$RESTRICTEDWINDOW$ = The time window during which the guest is not allowed to log in.
    •$TIMEPROFILE$ = The name of the time profile assigned.
    This dicument is found here:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/ise/1.2/user_guide/ise_custom_portals.html#wp1015657
    ISE v1.3 should have some improvements and quite possibly some HTML tags.

  • Email notification upon account creation?

    I would like to have an automatic email generated and sent to a user upon the creation of a portal acct (username and pw)......
    I have dug around, but am unable to find anything relating to this in the admin piece....
    Can anyone put me down the right path?
    Thanks in advance for any help offered.....

    Go into Portal as orcladmin or portal_admin. Click builder, click on administrator, and in the services portlet go into Global Settings. Then in the main tab, you configure everything you are looking for.

  • OIM 9102: Send Email Notification to other user in a task

    I created a process in OIM. In this process exist a Task: Manager Process. When this task will be completed for the user that be assigned. In the Notification Tab are able to send a email notification to a Assign User, Requester User, User or User Manager. But i need to send a email notification a other user different to them, for example: juan.perez, this user is in OIM.
    I have read the following documents:
    1.- http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E10391_01/doc.910/e10363/promgt.htm#BCECFGEJ
    2 .- How to Send an Email Notification Upon User Creation via the Admin Console [ID 780394.1]
    3.- OIM: An Example of Email Notification and Configuring it With a Resource Object Provisioning [ID 457836.1]
    4.- Sending an Approval Notification Email with a Link Directly to the Approval Request? [ID 748447.1]
    Or exist some way to do this, through java code.
    I'm using oim 9.1.0.2 BP18 running on OC4J 10.1.3.5 on AIX 6.1 64-bit clustered install with two nodes, Oracle Database 10.2.0.4 on AIX 6.1 64-bit on RAC.

    Hi
    You can use OIM email API to send an email from the java code. You can attach code on post creation user using entity adapter. Every time a user is created the email is triggered.
    Here is the sample:
    public EmailUtility(tcDataProvider dataProvider) {
              this.dataProvider = dataProvider;
              emailOper = new tcEmailNotificationUtil(dataProvider);
              System.out.println("Email API instantiated successfully...");
         public String sendEmail(String fromAddress, String toAddress, String body,
                   String subject) {
              emailOper.setBody(body);
              emailOper.setFromAddress(fromAddress);
              emailOper.setSubject(subject);
              emailOper.sendEmail(toAddress);
              System.out.println("Email sent!" + subject);
              return SUCCESS;

  • Users unable to get email notifications on followed sites, or documents: System.IO.FileNotFoundException and Microsoft.SharePoint.SPSite.InitUserToken(SPRequest request) errors

    Hi Community
    I have an issue on a live SP2013 farm that is really causing me grief.  Although  I ( Farm Admin)  and my other users can follow items which are subsequently  confirmed in our respective News Feeds -
    none of my users are are actually getting emails notifications .
    Alerts ( did) work fine.
    I have written some PS to vew and set  the SPS-EmailOptin for each user
    $up[$upManagerAttribute].Value = $managerNTName
    # check if the email check boxes are unchecked '1' then if so check all
    write-host -fore white "User Profile for user"$NTName "Now has email opt in currently set to" $up[$upEmailOptin].Value
    if ($up[$upEmailOptin].Value -gt 0)
    $up[$upEmailOptin].Value = 0
    write-host -fore white "User Profile for user"$NTName "Now has email opt in all checked."
    Very few are unchecked. $up["SPS-PrivacyActivity"].Value = 4095  is set for all users as in
    the the privacy settings on the newsfeed are all checked
    For my currrent client I  set up a development intranet which had the seperate web apps for the main portal and mysites. Test users were able to follow documents, sites without any problems.  Before go live I was asked to accomodate a requirement
    where there is only one web application (don't ask!)  effectivley http://myintranet
    so mysites sits under http://myintranet/mysites .   I  made the appropriate changes to my AutoSPInstaller scritpt and al appearedd l good : services , Service appplications, mysites are all started.  I am using
    the two app pool accounts  one for the portal and one for mysites.
    A quick look at the the releated threads on this forum indicated permssions could be DB permissions  related tho I  am not seeing anything in ULS to strongly point to this
    $webApp = Get-SPWebApplication http://myintranet
    $webApp.GrantAccessToProcessIdentity("mydomain\SP_ProfilesAppPool")
    - checked and SPAcess Data is given to the mysites app pool accout to the portal web app .
    I am seeing some odd errors in ULS
    Ignoring the space ' critical' warning which I have flagged up to Ops and  I doubt is my real problem.  The errors I see that are related are :

  • Sending Email notification on creation of account

    Hi,
    Our requirement is to send an email notification when a user account gets created. I have tried the following in User Form of proxy admin
    <Field name='viewOptions.Process'>
      <Expansion>
        <block trace='true'>
          <switch>
            <ref>feedOp</ref>
            <case>
              <s>create</s>
              <s>Send Mail</s>
            </case>
          </switch>
        </block>
      </Expansion>
    </Field>but it doesn't send any notification. While in Tomcat it shows the value as below where Send Mail is the name of workflow .
    <switch>
      <ref>feedOp</ref>Resolved feedOp to create
    --> create
      <case>
        <s>create</s> --> create
        <s>Send Mail</s> --> Send Mail
      </case> --> Send Mail
    </switch> --> Send MailEven i have tried to call this workflow from Process rule of synchronization policy but in that case it only sends mail and the user doen't get crreated.
    Please suggest what to do.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Thanks for ur reply. I have tried the configure taks method but don't u think that now it will send notification for ach and every account created in sim irrespective of the process used for account creation(ActiveSync or else) and resource because i need to send notification only when the user in sim is being created using activesync on Flat File Activesync resource.
    Thats why please suggest something else or tell me how it can be made to resource specific in configure tasks as i don't think it is a good approach to modify the default create user workflow.
    Thanks
    Waiting for reply.

  • Can I insert the name poperty of the RequestedByUser related object of the parent Change Request workitem in a review activity email notification template?

    I am working on a SCSM change control workflow driven by email.
    A lot of my work is based on the information found in this post:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/servicemanager/archive/2012/04/03/using-data-properties-from-the-parent-work-items-in-activity-email-templates.aspx#pi158453=4
    This is an excellent post to which my Internet searches continually return. The workflow is about 90% complete.
    My question is can I insert the properties of a related object of the parent workitem in a workflow email notification?
    For example, I want to include the name property of the RequestedByUser related object of the parent workitem object in a review activity notification.

    Thank you for your reply.  I have confirmed my template is using a projection that includes the parent workitem and requested by user.  Where I am having trouble is the notification template syntax used to call the properties of the related
    object of the parent workitem.  The picker in the GUI won't show that related object, so I have no example to follow.  I hope this reply makes sense!

  • AP Approval Request Information email notification doesnot work

    I have setup AP approval with AME ( oracle ver 11.5.10.2 and AME Ver B). The Approve and reject actions on the email notification work fine but when approver clicks on "Request information" then the reply screen is displayed as below:
    Request more information from: 'Enter Requestee role here'
    Question: 'Enter your question here'
    NID[2920949/1421900579@WFMAIL][3]
    workflow for APINV is not getting the value for 'Enter Requestee role here' automatically . Is this standard functionality? I have setup GL journal approval and requistion approval but i didnot get into this issue .
    Please also advise why APinv is getting Role instead of user. the email notification is getting "accouts payable" instead of the person who created the invocie. the TO is correct as it shows the approver user name. i.e
    the notification shows:
    From: To
    Accounts Payable Steve,Bush
    Please Help.
    Thanks,
    Steve

    guys - if you are 11.5.10 and implementing AP approval then the request information action does not work..i.e approver cannot just click on request infromation and ask any question to the sender .....oracle has ER for this....do not know why they have to remove this....

  • Need to fixed solution for multipale path for single request email notification

    Hello All,
    I observed the some time GRC request have multiple path (Example 2.1 and 6.1). but in my landscape if one of the path completed email will sent to user and requester. but that should not correct.
    Once request completed (Path1 , Path2 ..etc) than email notification will tigger.
    If any one can help me about this settings.
    Please let me know if you need more details..
    My enviroment details\
    Verson - GRC 5.3

    I have not used 5.3 for a long time, but is there an option to set the provisioning at the end of the Request rather than a path and then send an email at the end of the whole request? I know this is all doable on 10.0 by setting the provisioning settings in the configuration and setting up the Global notifications in the workflow config.

  • Email Notification: WorkItem - Unable to open Access Request

    Hi,
    I am using AC 10.1 with SP06
    I have configured Email-notification for the new workitem to approve or reject and this is working completely fine. The approver is getting the mails triggered with the link to goto WorkInbox. All the requests are clearly visible but I (or any approver for that matter) can't open/access the request.
    I had copied the URL link by opening the workinbox and then with right click --> Technical help and pasted the same link in the email subject content. Hope this is the right way to provide the link to work-inbox
    But I can access/open the same request, if I go via the normal procedures SAPGUI --> NWBC --> MyHome --> Workinbox
    Ofcourse, I would've missed some things but not sure what it is.
    I have followed http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/605077fc-3577-2e10-e1a6-a743514d4eb3?QuickLink=index&… to come so far.
    I assue the issue (not sure though) might be with the package, where I saved the email document, While creating the new email template at the time of saving it, I created one custom package ZGRC, as you can see there are some of the package encapsulation which are not captured. Is this causing the issue?
    Awaiting for you quick and positive response.
    Thanks,
    Ameet

    Hi Alessandro,
    I have mentioned the URL link under %PATH% as below:
    You mean SSO to NWBC..?
    This is not in place till now. But how come this could be the issue..? I understand that SSO will take approver directly to the workinbox link
    I have saved my log-in credentials with Chrome browser so whenever i click on the link coming from the email notification, the browser doesn't ask me to enter ID, password and takes me to my workinbox items wherer i can see the requests pending for my approvals.
    But if i use the same link on IE, it asks me to enter credentials, as I didn't save the ID and password So, after providing the credentials, I can see the requests pending for my approval, but UNABLE to open/access any of the requests.
    I have activated all the required services as well.
