Email notify, can it be recurring?

ok, just had an issue where we had a 2hour outage due to notification on email. Since my migration from the BB Curve, the only problem / issue I am having is mail. I miss an email, I could get a re-notify tone as well as the blinking LED a different color notifying me.
So, is there any way, application, etc. that could help. I know there is no LED's for a visual notify, but is there some type of setting, or 3rd party app that can say, play an alert every 10 minutes until mail is read?

Thanks. Very poor on Apple's part, as I know of a lot of people who still won't switch due to the fact that if they miss a call, or email they need to constantly turn on the phone to look.
As for 3rd party, well there is an app called Notifier Widget which will display numerous items on the lockscreen page (winterboard req) or a more simple smsnotify that will at set intervals continue to vibrate over and over for missed sms or even voicemail. So I will have to go that route and switch my alarms to goto sms as opposed to email.

The contribution step cannot be modified, so it is certainly not possible by the means of using <$wfSet("wfJumpEntryNotifyOff", "1")$>
Note also that emails in the contribution step are by definition sent to authors when their content was rejected, so it might be quite advisable to give them a note.

Someone knows a pop3 new email notifier that works in kde 4?
I have to check 1 email, and do not want to have open thunderbird (or something similar) just to do that...

By the way, gmail is also pop3. You just need to activate it on the settings tab of the gmail web interface.

turn your ipad off by holding the sleep wake button for 5 seconds and slide to turn off then turn it back on and the apps should be finished and if the apps didnt finish just redownload them

I have added a new email address but kept my Id, but I get busy when trying from iPhone to iPad as they are clashing. Like find my iPhone app hence trying to keep them all on one account

Your basically calling/emailing yourself that's why your getting a busy signal.

What id shows at the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app ? If it's the old email address that you had on your account then try tapping on it and log out of your account and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on the iPad.

You can't. Why on earth would you attempt to manage 2500 emails with setting up a folder structure or some means of doing so? Simply keeping them in an single inbox is not realistic, no matter what email client you use.

If you don't know your ID, you can try to find it as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5625. Then you can reset the password as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2617. Of course, you can only do this if it's your ID.

As of 1:00pm Thursday, 3/1/12, I am no longer receiving any email, nor can I send anything out from my account. I am OS4.1.1, hoping to upgrade next week to Leopard (because my mac is not Intel-based), but in the meantime, it's non-functional.

Is anyone else having problems with the email? I am not receiving any emails, nor can I send anything out. Spent 30 minutes on online chat last night with someone most unhelpful, only to be told that the reason I'm not receiving anything is because my email is being forwarded to another address. I set my preferences to do that several years ago when this mac.com/me.com server began having so many issues, to ensure I was receiving email so I could check from my other address. The only comment I got was well, we no longer support 10.4.1 so there isn't anything we can do to help you. The status update says 33% of their customers are unable to migrate. So I'm pretty sure I'm not alone and that is a pretty large base of customers to no longer provide support to. Is anyone else who has not migrated to iCloud experiencing these email problems? Currently my iDisk works to transfer my larger files, but my email does not.

I think they're slowly nudging people to switch, .mac & MobileMe are going away about July, may as well set it up now.
I understand .mac mail will still come through.
iCloud Mail setup, do not choose .mac or MobileMe as type, but choose IMAP...
IMAP (Incoming Mail Server) information:
• Server name: imap.mail.me.com
• SSL Required: Yes
• Port: 993
• Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
• Password: Your iCloud password
SMTP (outgoing mail server) information:
• Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
• SSL Required: Yes
• Port: 587
