Has anyone experienced the fact that I can no longer click on a email message and go to the relevent site, I just get a message saying no application associated with this action!!

Which browser are you using? Check in its preferences that it is the default. For example, if using Safari got to Safari Preferences>General tab and it should indicate Safari as the default.

1. have your time machine drive mounted on your mac.
2. in the finder, go to /Library/Preferences and find a file named com.apple.mail.plist and select it
3. in the Time Machine Menu in the Menu Bar, go to Enter Time Machine
4. Time Machine will open and navigate to the corresponding spot in your backup(s)
5. select the mail.plist file in the backup you want to restore from and click on restore in the right lower corner

TS4002 Can't receive emails on updated iMac

I can't get email on my iMac. I have a mobile me account. Won't let me change my incoming mail server, but won't let me proceed with it blank. All troubleshooting pages say to have incoming server set to IMAP.mail.me.com But its greyed out not allowing me to change it from mail.example.com

All I can suggest is that you open that file on the MBA and save it as a new file, then see if you can open the new one on the iMac.

There is something odd in this message.
Even under Lion, Pages 08 is able to open Pages 08 documents created by Pages 09.
I guess that the OP made a typo and that the docs were created as Pages 09 documents.
In theory, the availability of iWork 08 on a machine is not supposed to disable the ability to buy Pages 09 thru the MAS because the iWork 08 registration scheme is not the same than the iWork 09 one.

You can setup a Junk mail filter in Mail preferences, it will still enter your mailbox but be under a Junk folder. You can then check and if required delete the mail.
In this web page note the option of applying the filter via webmail on an IMAP server such as iCloud.

I am guessing that you are referring to the image that Mail puts next to the headers - this is what is in your Address Book, and is just there for convenience. Your photo is not sent with any message unless you attach it via a file or otherwise include it in the message contents.

sounds like your
imap or pop3 or Exchange settings depending on your mail provider
are setup wrong
or that your firewall or wifi routers firewall are blocking the ports
used by the mail recieving service

If your Imac is connected to the same Lan as your Exchange Server he might be able to access the DNS record for the autodiscovery services (the url that allow outlook/entourage or modern smartphone to autoconfigure the exchange account).
If this url has not been made public by your IT staff, your iphone cannot resolve it.
Typically, the url for autodiscover is based on your address email domain, i.e. if your email address is [email protected] the url for autodiscover will be https://autodiscover.company.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml
A good test is try to open this URL from a web browser (authentification may be requiered) from the imac and iphone then compare result. The expected behavior would be the display of an xml page with very little content (this is normal), if there is an http error or that the page cannot be displayed then autodiscover is not available from the network you are using.
If so you need to request from your IT the name of the ActiveSync Url to use, most company use the same as the webmail url, so if to access your wemail you need to go https://webmail.company.com, the name to use on your iphone would be webmail.company.com

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

Cannot send email off my imac account.

Anyone,
For some reason all of a sudden last night my imac email account has decided to stop working and will not send out email. It tries to send but then a drop down box appears and says the Outgoing Mail Server smtp account is not reading port 25. I have not done anything to my mac for this to all of a sudden be happening. I have tried all the help options but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

There's been a configuration change at the Apple servers - most people have found that changing the port to 587 does the trick.
Go to the Mail menu, then Preferences, then Accounts. Click on your .Mac account to the left. Click on "Account Information", then, at the bottom of the screen, click on the "Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)" list. Click "Edit Server List". Click Advanced. Finally, change "25" to "587" and click OK, then save the settings when prompted.
