Email password stopped working on BB only?

Blackberry Tour keeps giving me error that password for my email is wrong I'm having the problem now with my hotmail email on my BB since yesterday.  I've tried to remove my battery, I've entered it like 30 +times, I even deleted the email from my phone.  Now I can't add it back, it keeps saying that it's an invalid password and it can't validate, and to contact hotmail.com.  I even changed my password on hotmail.com,  I just logged into my hotmail on the actual computer with the correct same password, the same one that my BB won't take.  When I put in my password on the email setup page it says, "Processing, please wait..." Then I get this error, "Invalid email address or password. Verify your email address and password.  If the error persist, contact hotmail.com. "  I have other email accounts on my phone that are working just fine.

Overview
Every 360 days Windows Live email addresses (Windows Live Hotmail, MSN, or Bell Sympatico) that are integrated with the BlackBerry Internet Service are required to be re-validated to continue being sent and received on the BlackBerry smartphone. A notification is received approximately 3 days prior to the end of the 360-day re-validation period, depending on when the email address was last re-validated. A PIN message similar to the following might be received:
You must confirm your %EMAILADDRESS% password on your BlackBerry® device by %EXPIRYDATE% to continue sending or receiving email messages for this account.

Microsoft® Corporation requires Windows Live™ email account users who use mobile devices to validate their accounts every 360 days. Other email accounts on your BlackBerry device will not be affected
Email messages are unable to be sent or received on the BlackBerry smartphone by Windows Live email addresses that are not successfully re-validated before the expiration of the 360-day re-validation period. The recurring 360-day re-validation requirement is included in the Microsoft license agreement that is completed by the BlackBerry smartphone user during the process to integrate Windows Live email addresses with the BlackBerry Internet Service. By design, the re-validation notifications are staggered during a re-validation period and are dependent on when re-validation last occurred.
Cause
The integrated email address has not been authenticated within the required 360-day time frame.
Resolution
Integrated email addresses can be re-validated using the BlackBerry smartphone or a computer.
To re-validate a Windows Live email address from the BlackBerry smartphone, complete the following steps:
On the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, click Email Settings.
Note: Email Settings might be located either on the Home screen or in the Setup folder.
Type the BlackBerry Internet Service user name and password if prompted.
Click the Windows Live email address.
Click Edit.
Type the password associated with the email address.
Click Save.
To re-validate a Windows Live email address from a computer, complete the following steps:
Browse to the wireless service provider's web site.
Type the BlackBerry Internet Service user name and password if prompted.
When no user name and password is used for the BlackBerry Internet Service, see KB18258.
Go to Email Accounts.
Edit the email account.
Type the password associated with the email address.
Click Save.
To re-validate a Windows Live email address, click a link from the following list of wireless service providers to be taken to the BlackBerry Internet Service web site for that wireless service provider:

    It's done this before and i went to settings and followed these instructions then it worked great for a few months but now I can not receive email. I can send but incoming does not work.

    So the password for the app is no longer letting you into the App? You were right to contact the app developer for support, because it is a non-Apple applicaiton. Apple has nothing to do with the app or being able to make it work. Keep hounding the developer for support, that is your only avenue of approach for this.

The outgoing server is set at smtp.mail.me.com using port 587. If I was able to reinstall the account, I am positive I have the correct password. I can log into my iCloud accout using the same credentials.

    I called Microsoft to fix my problem...for those maybe having the same issue, I was told by the Tech to use this outgoing server setting - p06-smtp.mail.me.com

      All my apps including email have stopped working..  and i have no idea why this happened a few days ago now and ever since ive noticed that ive no GPSR icon only 3G (sorry if i sound stupid im not very tech savy at all).
    First noticed my apps not working when the normal facebook at twiter wouldnt work and then bbm messages wouldnt send and the same for emails as i havnt been reciveing any and nethier will they send.

    Also Safari doesn't open up anything either, but used to.

    try restarting the app
    Normally double tap the 'home' button
    all the active apps will pop up at the bottom
    hold an app
    once the '-' symbol appears release then find the 'hung' apps by scrolling and click the '-' symbol
    click the home key
    then click on mail/safari and see if that helps

  • N9 email app stopped working

    About several montha ago the email app stopped working.  I am using it with my Gmail account which is an imap to the phone.  I can not do anything with it.  Can not download emails or delete them.
    I am wondering if I have too many emails in the app?

    This may be an indication that your incoming mail server has started treating all of those messages as SPAM, and is deleting them. Try setting those messages go to an outside e-mail account, submit a test submission of your form, and see what happens. It might at least help in tracking down the problem. If you find that the messages go to an outside account, work with your Postmaster to get the messages coming from FormsCentral whitelisted. It might still be something else, but this is something you can try to narrow the possibilities.

    The latest version of iTunes tends to act up occassionaly. See this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 and remove and reinstall iTunes. This will not affect your music library, apps or other content in iTunes. Make sure you follow the steps exactly.
    Also, just copying the ringtone will not get it into your phone. iPhone ringtones have an extension of m4r, and you have to first take the Media player file and covert it to an AAC version. From there you need to change the extension from m4a to m4r. If you cannot see file extensions in Windows Explorer, which is actually the default action, go into Organize>Folder and search options, then hit the View tab, and then remove the checkmark by hide file extensions from known file types. After you have created the m4a version and changed the file extension, you can double-click on it and it should show up in the Tones folder in iTunes. From there, sync the phone and it should show up in the list of ringtones.

    I would suggest signing out of your iTunes Store account from the Settings app on your iPhone.  Then go to the  My Apple ID website to see if you can log in with your Apple ID and password.  You may need to reset it.
