    Yes there is,
When you recieve a mail with an attachement (inline or as a picture) right click (or control click) the attachement and choose "show as symbol" or "show fullsize" (or completely or something like that, I don't work in English version). Mail will take this as a general preference.

  • Emailed photos taken with iPhone not being received

Emailed photos taken with iPhone not being recieved.
Photos I have taken with the iPhone and then emailed are never received. I have sent them to two different yahoo accounts and neither account received the photos... I sent both using EDGE and WIFI... Same trouble with both...
Any idea why this feature is not working ?
    Thanks,
    -Frank

    Now it's magicly working.... maybe....
I did as you asked and sent myself emails from my iphone and nothing was received.... tried sending to my yahoo account and my work account... did this 3 or 4 times and nothing was received and nothing was shown as being sent... even though I caould hear the "sent" sound each time....
I then tried sending to my personal and my work accounts and also added one of those to the "CC" line... so that email had 2 email address in the "To:" line and 1 eamil address in the "cc:" line... That one worked just fine !!! got it twice in my personal account and once in my work account.
I then tried emailing the same photo that I had tried before and it too worked correctly...
The only itmes that have shown up in my sent box are the last tow... the email with multipul addresses and the photo that I sent right after...
So... it appears to be owrking at the moment...
Thanks for your help... I'm not sure why it's working now.. but at least it is...
    Thanks for you help,

  • Unable to email photo taken on iPhone

I want to send a photo from my iPhone to a valid email address. I went to the Camera Roll and selected a photo, then clicked the leftmost icon to start the "send" process and chose "Email Photo" from the options. I get an email template with the photo already attached, put in my valid email address in the To: field and send. I get no email sent, nor any indication of something being wrong.
I have tested with local WiFi and another test using Edge - neither send the message. I also tested simple text msgs and they get sent fine.
Anyone else having issues sending photos?
    Thanks for providing any suggestions

My email settings shows my valid yahoo email account and as I said earlier, regular text emails are processed fine. Perhaps something about the photo attachment is causing an issue through yahoo mail?

Here are links to four short MOV files showing the four orientations for the iPhone 4S. I had to upload them to DropBox for you as all of my available Cloud based mail programs choked on saving or sending these little video files.

    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7584570/IMG_0062.MOV

    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7584570/IMG_0064.MOV
I usually record hockey games in Landscape mode with the Home Button of the iPhone on the left side with the screen facing me. That is the mov file IMG_0063.MOV
Apple's QuickTime Player displays it correctly, while the VLC player, which ignores exif flags plays it upside down. So does the Plex Media streamer ignore the flag, so does the thunderbird mail app ignore the flag, and so on. Adobe looks at the exif flags so they get it right.
My movies are of four Post It Notes, each one describing the location of the Home Button. Take a series of four pictures oriented like my test MOV files , then take 4 short MOV files of the same iPhone orientation. If the results are "misoriented" then the software you are using to look at them is ignoring the orientation flages.
For more detail of this subject look at  http://www.impulseadventure.com/photo/exif-orientation.html
    JPEG Rotation and EXIF Orientation
Digital Cameras with orientation sensors allow auto-rotation of portrait images. Unfortunately, support for this feature is not widespread or consistently applied.
    Digital Cameras with Orientation Sensors
Many newer digital cameras (both dSLR and Point & Shoot digicams) have a built-in orientation sensor. Virtually all Canon and Nikon digital cameras have an orientation sensor. The output of this sensor is used to set the EXIF orientation flag in the image file's metatdata to reflect the positioning of the camera with respect to the ground. Canon calls their sensor the "Intelligent Orientation" sensor. It is presumably a 2-axis tilt sensor, allowing 4 possible orientations to be detected (shown in the left side of the diagram in the link above).

  • When I try and send photos taken on the pad to my work email, it literally takes up to 10 hours???  whats up?

WHy does it take so long to send photos taken on Ipad to another email address.  Some have taken 10 hours?????

with your work e-mail, could your work IT dept be queueing the mail? I know ours has a bad habit of queueing mails with attachments unitl they can scan them
or does it do that with every mail address you send photos to?

  • Transferring photos taken on an iPhone to a PC

I am trying to transfer photos taken on my iphone to a pc running windows XP (work computer)  However this is NOT the pc that the computer is sync to.
    How do I do it?
(The pc is sync to my home pc - running Windows 7)
You used to be able to go My Computer, Select iphone DCIM folder and you can see all the photos appear.
Since updating my phone to the latest IOS, it seems you are unable to transfer photos taken on your iphone to another pc, and ONLY the pc the iPhone is sync to.
Am I doing something really stupid?  Do I need to check a setting to allow this?  Or does everyone else have the same problem?
And before someone says, can't you email them to yourself - This is a silly idea, and it takes too long!!!
    Pleeeeeeease HELP !!

Thank you for your suggestions, however this hasn't helped me.
When I connect the iPhone to pc, it flashes up Trust this computer.  I click trust and then click on My Computer and iPhone.  The device reads the phone, then quickly shuts down and on my phone screen it comes up Trust this computer again.  This series of events just repeats itself.
I tried plugging the phone into another Windows XP machine and exactly the same thing happens.
I tried plugging the phone into a colleagues machine (windows 7) and my photos come up, exactly as required.
The two XP machines are completely up to date with Windows updates.  The link you took me to suggests I check my photos software is up to date - is this difference from ensuring I have the latest IOS?  (Which I do)
How do I check whether I have the latest photo software update?
Any other suggestions on how I can get it working?

  • Can I upload photos taken on my 2760?

I was the only one with a camera (my Nokia 2760) at a recent event that needed a photo taken. I don't rely on my phone for photography but I was pressed into service unprepared.
Can anyone tell me how I upload these shots so I can share with the person who needs them?
    Thank you in advance.

There are a bunch of methods - try sending it as email (if you have GMail account, for example). You can also send it as MMS to an email address. There are a couple of services, but emailing directly is the easiest way to do so, because everything else requires additional program download. Or simply send it via Bluetooth to some laptop - then subscribe to Flickr.com or Ovi.com to share it publicly

  • Saving eMail Photos

When I save a photo on my iphone that I have received in an email, it appears blurry (pixelated) in the camera roll folder. Usually, but always. This happened even before I upgraded to 2.2. This seems to happen mostly when the photo attached in the email was taken with another iphone. In the email, it appears clear, but after it is saved it looks blurry. What's causing this?

    Rossentjuk-
When I receive an attached photo in the Mail App, there are two ways to save it.  If I touch the left-turn arrow at the top of the screen, there are several options that include Save Image.  Or, I can press and hold on the image and two options appear that includes Save Image.
This only works with attachments that the iPad understands, such as common image formats.  If the iPad can't open it, it says so when I press and hold on the attachment icon.
Are you saying that yours does not work that way?

  • Emailing photos as attachment files

How do I attach an iphoto as a jpeg file attachment to an email that can be opened and managed by a pc windows user? All my email photos show as actual photos imbedded in the email and can't be taken out of the email by the pc user.

    Welcome to Apple discussions,
I assume you are using the built in "Email" feature of iPhoto to send your images. While the Mail window shows the images as if they were part of the body of the message, the pictures are still attached just like any other email. I use this feature to send pictures to those of my relatives that use Windows all the time.
If the person you are sending to says they do not see the pictures you can do the following (Note: This is not necessary for using Windows machines but if the person says they can't see it's all I can suggest.):
1.) Make a new folder on your desktop (File > New Folder)
2.) Highlight the pictures you are going to send to the person
3.) Go to File > Export > File Export and export the pictures into that new folder
4.) Click on the folder on the desktop and go to File > Compress
_This will create a .ZIP file with the same name as the folder.
_You can drag this .ZIP file into your email message and send it.
NOTE: If the images are too large the file will not send. Most email providers will not let you send send attachments over 10 MB. To see how big the ZIP file is, click on it once and then go to File > Get Info and note the size. If it is over 10 MB you might want to send several smaller emails with fewer pictures or when you use the File > Export feature of iPhoto change the "Size" to something smaller.
Finally, If you are a MobileMe member you could make a Web Gallery of your pictures and send that to the Windows user.
    Hope that helps.

  • Email photos from iPhone?

I use Google mail. Is there any way to email a photo taken with the iphone, from the iphone?

Yes. Take the picture. Open in up in the photo app. At the bottom of the picture there will be an icon to send the pic via Email. Just be sure your Gmail account is set as the default mail account under settings>Mail
