Email Photos using web mail

I'd like to be able to email a batch of photos using the various web mail clients: gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc. I'd like to be able to upload and resize a number of photos at one time to use in these web mail programs.

There is one for GMail, but none for Yahoo, AFAIK.
As you're using 10.5, If you use the extended Open or Attach dialogue (with Column View) you can scroll to the bottom of the Shortcuts and find the Media browser there. Select any pic you want from there.

Emailing Photos Using Yahoo Mail

Hi,
I can't email a photo from the photo app.
I click on a photo, add it to a new email and add a recipient and then send it.
It always appears to send but never arrives at the recipients mailbox. Have tried sending to friends and to my other email addresses.
Is there something I'm missing here?

If they iPhone is saying it has been sent, that indicates it has been uploaded to and acknowledge by your outgoing mail server. However, to further isolate the issue, would you mind trying the following steps as a means of troubleshooting?
1. Create a trial .Mac account on www.mac.com - you do not need to enter billing information, and you will not be automatically charged. You also don't need a Mac to have a .Mac account.
2. Add that email account to your iPhone, using the .Mac option in Settings -> Mail -> Add Account
3. Set the .Mac account to the default account to troubleshoot
4. Attempt to send a picture.
If it arrives at the destination it indicates your iPhone is communicating with the SMTP server, but the message is being filtered or stopped somewhere else along the route to the recipient.

Multiple Email Accounts using MS Mail

I want to setup multiple email accounts using MS mail. My already has an account, but I want to add an account for my son. I've added the account on verizon and in MS mail. However, I want to have completly separate accounts so that when my son opens his email he only see his email and when my wife opens her email, she only sees her email. Right now, when MS mail is opened both their emails come up and when they send an email, they must select which email account they are sending from.
Does anyone know how to do this?

One option would be to not use MS Mail (I assume you really mean Windows Live Mail?). You could create accounts for them and have them just use the Web mail interface to get to their mail.
Another option would be to give each person their own "user account" on your machine instead of all logging into the computer as the same userid. If you do this, any mail settings will remain with the individual account.

Are you able to email from Mail with those two accounts? If so:
1 - go to iPhoto's Accounts preference pane and delete both accounts. Now add them back and try again.
2 - a better solution IMO is to set Mail as the email client for iPhoto is iPhoto's General preference pane. This gives you better access to your contacts, a sent copy of all emails and, if you want a layout similar to iPhoto's, photo layouts located in Mail's stationary.

Emailing photos using Mozilla Thunderbird

There was an article in the NY tImes this week that indicated you could mail photos directly from IPhoto using mail packages other than Apple's mail package. It said to go to IPhoto preferences, click on the General tab, and select an email program from the menu next to "Email photos using" I use Mozilla Thunderbird for mail but it doesn't appear on the menu. Is there a way to get IPhoto to recognize Thunderbird as an email package? Thanks for your help.

At this time the only supported apps are Mail, Entourage, Eudora and AOL. There is no way to add other clients.

This keeps happening. Please help me solve it

This one comes up from time to time and it’s caused by a glitch in the AppleScript underpinnings that work in the background. Frankly, I’ve seen no solution for it and suspect that it would require a re-install of the System Software.
Alternaive:
Instead of making the email in iPhoto, add the photos to the email in Mail. Use the Photo Browser in the New Message Window and you have full access to the Library.

Can someone please help me figure out how to "clear" recent email addresses used in Mail?

Can someone please help me figure out how to “clear” recent email addresses used in Mail? For example, as I begin typing a name/email address in the “To:” field, Mail begins suggesting addresses that I’ve previously used. I don’t want any suggestions unless they are in my contacts.
Another example: When using MS Outlook, it will also remember and suggest email accounts previously used, but I can arrow down and delete an account from the list so it won’t automatically popup or suggest in the future.
I appreciate any guidance in this matter.

The iOS email app stores all email recipients in a list of previous recipients which cannot be turned off. The email address autofill feature when addressing an email pulls from contacts and from the list of previous recipients which can't be prevented. There is no option to clear the list of previous recipients - not at the present time anyway.
If you don't want any suggestions, select from contacts instead when addressing an email.

Most of the message Flags work only for IMAP mailboxes. POP3 supports only the DELETED flag. It must be understood that Javamail is a framework which provides all the features available in a standard mailing system. But whether or not a particular feature works is a functionality of the particular implementation being used.
Thus for example POP3 cannot differentiate read from unread messages in a mailbox though Javamail provides that feature.

If the account can be set up with programs like TB, simply add the account, starting from File/New(or AppMenu/New Message)/Existing Mail Account. If TB doesn't detect the right settings, enter them manually according to the account provider's requirements. If the provide offers IMAP access, all of the webmail folders will be downloaded. If POP only is offered, the Inbox will be downloaded.

Emailing photos from yahoo mail via iphoto

I would like to be able to send photos directly from iphoto using the email button but i would need to send the photos from my yahoo mail account as I don't have apple mail. Is it possible to link yahoo somehow to my ibook so that when I click on email photo in iphoto it links to my yahoo account and the mail will be sent from yahoo instead. Do I make any sense at all? If anyone has any idea, please reply in as 'basic' a way as possible - thanks.

The way it works is as follows.
1. You upgrade your free Yahoo Mail account to a Yahoo Mail Plus mail account. (FYI: Google Mail is free internet based email that offers free integration with Apple Mail, called POP access. This integration is what you are paying for with Yahoo.)
2. You obtain instructions from Yahoo on how to use Apple Mail with your Yahoo Mail account. They give you the server information (there is a server for outgoing mail and a server for incoming mail) and you supply your Yahoo user name and password. Open Apple Mail and go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts to supply this information.
3. You can then send and receive your Yahoo email through the Apple Mail program instead of going to Yahoo through your web browser. You can also use your Mac's address book now for sending email.
4. Most importantly to you, you can now click the Email Photo button in iPhoto. iPhoto will open Apple Mail with the photo attached, and you can then send the photos to whoever you want. The email will appear as though you sent it through the web based Yahoo mail.

IPhoto 11--unable to email pics using iPhoto mail

After I select a photo and then click on the "Share" button to email the photo using iPhoto, iPhoto crashes. However, when I change the mail program in iPhoto to Apple Mail, I am able to email the photo.

Go into iPhoto's Accounts preference pane and delete the email account that's in there and close iPhoto. Relaunch iPhoto and add it back again.

If you don't then do so. If you do and still can't send from iPhoto with "Mail" set as your email client,
Then delete the Gmail account, close Mail, reopen and add it back again.

Cannot email photos using a Panasonic DMC-ZS25 camera on PictBridge

Using a new Panasonic ZS25 camera for the first time , have been unable to successfully email photos. Computer screen shows progress bar filling after pressing "SEND", but immediately followed by message that attempt unsuccessful.
Using the alternative method of dragging photos to Desktop, and then dragging them into body of email message was successful. Why is iPhoto doing this ?

How does PictBridge fit into this ? New camera requires that I access PictBridge as a prelude to downloading and then sending photos by Mail.

I'm no familiar with every camera brand, but I believe that Pictbridge is solely for printing, and his no role in simply getting the photos from your camera.

PSE8 crashes when I try to email photos using Adobe Email Service

The PSE8 Organizer crashes when I attempt to email photos. In the 2 months that I have owned this program it has crashed several other times, but the current problem with emailing photos always occurs at the same step in the process. I have read all the Help topics related to emailing from this program and it appears that my computer is set-up correctly. The email client is selected as Adobe Email Service. I have received a "verification code", although I have never gotten far enough into the process to enter it. I'm able to go through all the steps to create the email (selecting the photos, typing a message, and selecting recipients). A preview of the email briefly appears, but the program crashes before the hourglass goes away - so I never get to click on "send".
Is there a bug in the program? Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

image but only this "text" of letters, numbers
and characters which I presume is the ingredients
of an image. I have cut off some of the pasted

Email photos using iPhoto 11

I have two iMacs: an Intel Core Duo and an Intel Core i7. Both have iPhoto 11. I have set up the iPhoto Mail preferences identical to the Mail preferences on both computers. With the Intel Core i7 it works fine. I can email photos directly from iPhoto. But, with the Intel Core Duo I keep getting error messages that the user/password does not match. I have double checked both iPhoto and Mail preferences and they do match. So, this appears to be a glitch. I don't know whether it has anything to do with the Core Duo or not. (Note: I know I can email photos from Mail, but with 10,000 photos it takes much more time finding the photos than if doing it in iPhoto --- i.e. one of the reason I upgraded from iPhoto 9 to 11). Can anyone help?

Are you able to email from outside iPhoto with the Intel Core Duo? If not then it's a question for the Snow Leopard/Mail community.
You can try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
Next try reapplying the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo followed by a repair of disk permissions with Disk Utility.
