Email Portlet:attachments and delete problem

Hi,
i have downloaded the IMAP Portlet ver 9.0.4.0 from the POINT site and my portal version is 9.0.2.3.0.
Although i am receiving messages with attachments, when i compose a new message and i try to add an attachment,i browse and attach a file, but after clicking the attach button i get "No Attachments" in the Attachments text area.
Also i cannot always delete a selected message getting sometimes the following error:"Could not fetch the message: Row at index: 2113012357 is not available in the data range"

Do you enable http sessions in the midtier? Is the Login Frequency set to Once Per Session ? The only reason, I think, will not allow the attachments is if it fails to get the compose message from the session. All you attachments are mapped onto the message object residing in the session for the duration you send or cancel the message. If it fails to acquire the session or the session is lost, the attachment details are lost. However the message will be sent without, since it will construct a new message if not found. Thus losing the attachments.

Mail (5.3) OS X 10.7.5 mail program crashing when opening an email with attachment. Any suggestions out there? I can open the mail program...send and receive emails...click on emails without attachments with no problem.

I am having a problem successfully opening an email containing attachment. I can open the mail program...send and receive emails...and view emails that do not contain attachments. But whenever I click on an email containing an attachment, I get the spinning beach ball for a few seconds and then the entire program closes. Any suggestions before I make a one hour trip to the Apple store for help?

I don't think an interactive portion of a PDF is an obscure problem (lots of designers I know use rollable PDF files for emailing 3D models) and while I understand that it's in a legacy program, there is no guarantee if I purchase Acrobat X, that the same problem won't exist. It's no an issue in Reader 10 but then again, it wasn't an issue in Reader 9 either. Since Adobe doesn't give trial versions for Mac (stupid), I have no way of checking this. The problem doesn't annoy me as much as being an Adobe product user who upgraded only to not have functionality and not have a way to have it resolved.

Background:Email Server :Exchange 2007Client Outllok:2007/2013Recently,We got a problem case.Colleague A send a email (Subject A) to Colleague B,C,D,E and F at 6/29/2015 4:09 PM.After she send out this email,she send to one wrong recipient .and then she use re-call function for this email.Colleague A base on (Subject A ) and draft a new email (subject B) to Colleague B,C,D,E and G at 6/29/2015 4:12 PM.Colleague A also draft a new email (subject C ) to Colleague B,C,D,E and G at 6/29/2015 4:12 PM.Colleague B and C report they received all email.Colleague D and F said never got those email.After investigate on Colleague D and F 's outlook.I found those email in their deleted item but not in trash.The deleted time was same as received time.Does anyone know is that related to a bug or some settings?

TS4435 email photo attachments and iPhoto

Why can't I import email photo attachments directly into iPhoto...the option is there, but doen't work?

How were the images sent: as part of a Rich Text email, or plain text email, with an attachment? Either way, for each image, you should see a Save button, which will display an Add to iPhoto option when you click and hold.

2 email Qs: Attachments and Autocheck

My MS Word .doc attachments (made with Word 2004 on G5 running 10.4.10) is a mere 48 KB large. Since there is no upload of 'memos' to the iPhone, I emailed it to myself, received fine, shows up with paperclip and proper "MS Word" icon. But when I tap the icon, the gray cog spins indefinitely alongside the "Loading..." display. Anyone thoughts?
Also, though Mail settings "Auto-Check" set to Manual, the phone nevertheless checks mail constantly, keeping the In box volume set to the Settings specified limit of 25, a bug?!--Thanks

Thanks for the thought but no help...I am at full reception on WiFi network with no Edge "E" present, fast connection otherwise.
I think that (1) there is a bug with opening attachments and (2) there is a bug with Manual/Auto Email check.
Hopefully Apple will correct these elementary issues.

[ASK] Email Cannot Sync and BBM Problem

Hi All,
I have problem about my 9320 Amstrong.
Suddenly, I can't receive email anymore (about 1 week ago). After that, I tried to hard reset then delete email and add again, but I can't synchronize my email to the server.
Also some of my bbm cannot send the message (only sign "D" even read). It just happened to some of my contact.
I try to change operator, also same happened at my 9320. But if my provider card used at other blackberry, it running well. So, this problem at my handheld or RIM at my suspect.
I tried to wipe, upgrade, HRT, send service book, and other, but still same result
Please, help me.. anyone have this issue also?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
With a strong carrier network signal (e.g., not merely WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
2) Delete and Resend Service Books (pre-BB10 devices only)
KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
If you have no CMIME entry, then skip the deletion
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
3) Reboot
Pre-BB10 Devices ONLY. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
BB10 Devices. Hold the top button down until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the device to be fully shut down (e.g., nothing at all displayed on the screen, no LED lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red LED is lit. Wait through the full boot-up process. IF this fails, you can attempt the battery-pull method above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.
See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should try deleting and re-adding your configurations for the affected email accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.

Mail only storing emails in Mail and deleting from Gmail and Iphone

Ok so i have a gmail account. I set up Mail on my macbook. I also have that Gmail account on my IPhone. When I open Mail it retrieves my mail and thats great. but when i open my email on my IPhone, the messages are not there. So if i check my email on my computer, it deletes it from the server i guess? Because even when i go to GMAIL.COM there are no emails since i checked my email on my Mail account. Please help because my work schedule gets emailed and i need to be able to see all my emails on my IPhone, MacBook, and Public Computers. Thanks

I'm guessing that you are using GMail as a POP server. You need to switch to IMAP. On the GMail end, go to Settings, then Forwarding and POP/IMAP and enable IMAP. Next, you will (unfortunately) have to re-create the account in Mail, since you previously set it up as POP. If you have messages stored in the In box, Trash or Sent mailboxes associated with that account in Mail and don't want to lose them, create new "On My Mac" mailboxes (Mailbox -> New Mailbox, set location to "On My Mac") and move the messages there. Then delete the account and create a new IMAP account. Follow the directions at the link below to set up the account:

Read In Email, parsing Attachments and converting them to PDF

Dear Forum,
When an email arrives, I want to check wether there are attachments present in this email. When there are .GIF, .PNG or .TIFF files attached, I want to convert them to a PDF.
Does anybody knows how to do one of these steps in Java?
1) parsing attachments out of email
2)converting them to PDF

In your JavaMail download there is a directory containing examples of JavaMail code. One of those examples covers your first question.
And the second question ("How do I convert a GIF file to PDF?") isn't a question about JavaMail.

Email both Yahoo and others problem on iphone

i have had to recreate my accounts (2) several times, they work, i get/send email and then boom, overnight, it stops working. i tried to reset today and can not get either to work. when I open them it simply says "checking for mail" and the circle thing goes round and round with no luck.
this is both in wireless areas and/or elsewhere,
any thoughts or suggestions, it has happened 3 times already and this time recreating the accounts do not help, frustrating.

I have had similar problems. Frequently my email retrieval goes into an endless spin of "checking for mail." I can correct it by resetting, but, this is becoming a real nuisance. I would be interested if there is some other procedure or setting that might correct it.

Every email has attachments and I dont want to use HD space

I have a Mac Book Air and only 128 Gb HD
Every email I send has my company logo and sometimes others.
Most emails I receive have at least one also.
My HD is almost fried with overuse.
How do I stop these jpeg attachments from being stored and chewing up data space?
I need help urgently please.
I have a 32Gb SD Card in the slot for data storage and use an external HDD as my carry over space

One thing to look at: Mail, Preferences, Accounts, Advanced, there is a drop down menu determining whether attachements are stored on your computer or not.

Yahoo mess 3.01 friends add and delete problem!

HELLO! I hope someone can help me with this. A while ago, I downloaded yahoo messenger 3.01 beta. Someone I know wanted is trying to get added to my friends list. The request pops up, disappears, and then I can't add or delete any new friends. Has anyone else run into this and can you help me? I'm hoping...

This happened to my sister the other day and she just gave up. You could try deleting it and reloading it again or go to the help section on Yahoo and type in your problem. That is what I did in MSN messenger.

Send email with attachments and change calendar

2 questions,
first how can i change the datepicker icon? i want to use something slightly fresher that i have, say an image of a calendar for example?
the second question is a bit more ocmplicated.
i ahve used the send email behaviour no prolems at all, however i need to be able to on an existing site i used to build with addt have the ability to email documents that are uploaded by addt behaviours into the site?
so at the moment you can upload, delete and view the documents. the documents are displayed in a repeating table, i need to be able to have checkboxes next to each documents name and when selected when the person clicks the submit button it email the message with documents attached to an address they specify?
any help would be great.

i am happy to try figure it out using addt, ill have a go with checkboxes next to the recordset, i could set the ticked value of the checkbox to the name of the document from the recordset and give it a go?
i think it would have been a cool out the box feature, if you can help at all when you can with trying to impliment i would really appreciate it and i think it will definately help other users at the same time.
i have to say i love addt, so sad it is not around as such. i have noticed a few users talking about php5.3 support and just want to let users know i found a site which has the includes file patched:

WLST and delete problem

I've got two WLST scripts, one that creates a number of different resources (JDBC DataSources, JMSModules etc..) and one that deletes those resources. I'm running this against a 10.1 WLS
As I'm developing the script, I invoke the create scrip, check the server to see that the artifacts have been created, then invoke the 'drop' script which calls delete() to remove the artifacts.
The problem I'm seeing is that the drop script doesn't really seem to delete the artifacts. While they don't show in the console (i.e. I can navigate to the DataSources page and see it missing), the they still seem to be in the JNDI tree... even though all my changes are activated.
So, on subsequent invocations of my create script I get BeanAlreadyExists exceptions.
What am I missing here....

To potentially complicate this a bit more (maybe) I think it might be related to the problem described here:
delete JMS module does not clean up resource descriptor file
Specifically, one of the resources I'm trying to delete is a JMS Module. So the sequence of operations is:
0) I invoke a WLST script to create JMS Module and JDBC DataSources
1) Invoke WLST script that tries to delete() a JMS Module and JDBC DataSources (then save/activate)
2) I get an exception that reads something like:
Attempt to operate 'remove' on null BasicDeploymentMBean : ... [says something about needing to restart WLS]
3) I restart the WLS, open the admin console, the Activate button is green and I and invoke Activate from the console. I get no errors or warnings.
4) Inspect the JNDI tree and see the JMS DataSources still present in JNDI tree in spite of them being missing from the Data Sources page on the console
5) I notice the resource descriptor files for both JMS Module and JDBC DataSources remain under the config/jms and config/jdbc directories on the file system. It also look like they are still in
6) If I shut down the WLS server and restart JDBC data sources still in JNDI tree
If I shut down and restart the server between step 0) and 1) then I don't get the exception mentioned in step 2) and the delete really appears to take place.

HT1277 Old hotmail emails were transferred and deleted from online account

All my old email from my hotmail account got TRANSFERRED to my mac mail and are no longer online. Not what I wanted to happen. Can I have them returned to my hotmail account and have the mail account mirror my online hotmail account?

Depending on local settings, Mail.app can copy read messages locally, which is probably what happened here. POP is also fond of downloading read messages off the server. As for your question, select and drag the messages back into a mailbox/folder on the server.
