Email Posts are generating duplicate entries in ShaerPoint Discussion Forum.

If i send one email post name it as "Test Post" then on SharePoint site i can see multiple posts with the same name.
when i open all the duplicate posts in new window its displaying with some random number at the end of the subject.
Multiple Post with different Subjects:
Test Post 2937
Test Post 9315
Test Post
Please suggest me in this case. I want to make sure that SharePoint discussion site should not contain any duplicate posts.

I tested the same scenario per your post in my environment, however the no duplicated posts were created in the discussion board list.
Per my knowledge, the emails be sent to SharePoint will be stored in the folder which by default is located at C:\inetpub\mailroot\Drop.
I recommend to verify the things below:
Send an email to the discussion board list and then immediately check the folder located at C:\inetpub\mailroot\Drop to see if there are duplicated emails saved in the folder.
Create an email in Outlook and then save it as .eml file, then put it to the folder located at C:\inetpub\mailroot\Drop to see if the issue still occurs.
Please ensure that there is no other user is sending the emails with the same subject to the discussion board list.
To narrow the issue scope, I recommend to create another discussion board list to test and then compare the results.

Hi,
In table T445M, there are records for each line in my macro - and they have AR columns blank, and RL columns with zero value. However, those same records are also duplicated - but now with R in AR columns, and 52 in RL columns (i.e. table T445M has double the number of records than the lines in my macro).
So any idea how these duplicate records get created, and what is the meaning of the values in AR & RL columns ?
Also, I see a column "Functional Module Name" - so can someone explain how to use FM in macro ?

There are now two Nike+ Sport kit discussion forums

Looks like Apple is splitting the Nike+ Sport kit forum into two groups--1st generation and 2nd generation Nanos. Here's the link for the Nike+ Sport kit for the 2nd gen Nano http://discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=1132
It is also harder to find these two groups if you are new to the Apple Forums. (I asked some friends who don't use the forums to try this out and they were baffled how to find the two Nike+ Sport Kit discussion forums.)

I suspect it's simply that Apple is dividing up discussions in a way that seems logical to them and then indexing accordingly. So if there are two generations of Nanos, they have two Nike+ Sport kit forums. Simple for Apple. Not so simple for users of the Nike+ Sport kit.
For example, I will soon own both Nanos, so when I have question about the Nike+ kit my question will probably relate to both Nanos and will have to post my question on both forums. When I answer questions, the answers about Nike+ in many cases will be the same on both forums. And when the third generation Nano comes out, same drill, now multiplied 3 times!
So rather than splitting the Nike+ forum to follow the multiple generations of Nanos, it would make more sense for members of the Nike+ Sport Kit discussion forum to have one forum for us that includes all generations of Nanos.

PlDoc generates duplicate entries in dependencies tab

Hello,
using PlDoc, the generated dependencies tab for functions contains multiple entries for the same dependent object. The dependent objects are oracle object types.
Is this a known bug?

Every time I sync my iCal computer with my iPhone 4 or iPad, duplicate entries are generated on both systems. What am I doing wrong or how can I avoid the duplications?

Every time I sync my iCal on my computer through iTunes with my iPhone 4 or iPad, duplicate entries are generated on both systems. What am I doing wrong or how can I avoid the duplications? I have been doing this for several years and this problem is a more recent issue, like in the last 6 months. I have been deleting the duplicate entries, on both systems, but some duplicates reappear through "general" entries that are connected to the correct color for a Calendar, but not the name. I am going nuts and wasting tons of hours trying to get the 3 calendars to sync without generating duplicate entries.

Choose one of the Calenders on ONE of the computers OR the MobileMe as the Master / correct account.
The REINITAILISE the data of MobileMe within preferences on the computer defining the datatransfer correctly (in the advanced box of preferences). The synchronise iphone contacts and calender directly on-line to MobileMe.

How to remove duplicate entries in OID due to an AD-OID bootstrap

Don't worry about the "why" but there were changes made to the mapping file for an AD-OID synch and dipassistant commands mp and bootstrap run and now there are some duplicate entries for users in OID. The only difference between the duplicates for each of those user (besides the creation/modify timestamps) is their ORCLGUID. Their orclobjectsid, orclobjectguid, dn, uid, etc. are the same. Also, our OID is used for SSO to an oracle portal. So ... is there any way to programmtically get rid of the duplicates or do I have to manually go through and delete. And if manually, which one of the two should be removed? The one created first or last?
You'll have to excuse myself and my co-workers 'cause we're still newbies when it comes to OID. :-)

Found an easier way to delete my unwanted users ... Softerra LDAP Administrator 3.5. :-)
After I did the deletes, we implemented a new mapping file (see my post at Changing Domain Rules in mapping file for Active Directory-OID synch ) and ran bootstrap. Now I just have to update the GUID and DN in portal.wwsec_person$ with the new orclguid and dn from OID for each affected user.

About Duplicate entries

but i cannot remove all the duplicate entries.
certain scenarios i should have duplicate elements also in my output.

You have add the following statement before the delete duplicate statement
SORT itab_temp BY RI_ACCT_NO.
DELETE ADJACENT DUPLICATES FROM itab_temp COMPARING RI_ACCT_NO .
I think now it will work. Otherwise some problem internal table fields.
Moreover this code not efficient. You are using nested loops, it is performance killer. Instead you can use for all entries. Already u have data in ITAB_TEMP.
Select f1 f2... from XTABLE into table ITAB for all entries in ITAB_TEMP where RI_ACCT_NO = ITAB_TEMP-RI_ACCT_NO .
then u can add addition logic by using one loop and endloop.

Well, I suppose if the duplication is such that
SELECT DISTINCT * FROM tablename;gives you the required result, then you could have a procedure that made a copy of the table, deleted/truncated the original, then inserted the distinct values back into it.
In 10g you could even use flashback to avoid the temp copy - but it also means you can't use TRUNCATE so whether it's any more efficient I'm not sure. But just for fun and since it's urgent:

The scene is that I've to enter some data in a table control . and while saving, I've to check whether the same entry already exists in the database or not.

Two lines are considered to be duplicated if their default keys match.
The return code value is set as follows:
SY-SUBRC = 0 At least one duplicate exists, at least one entry deleted.
SY_SUBRC = 4 No duplicates exist, no entry deleted.

Effect
Two lines of the internal table itab are considered to be duplicates if the specified fields f1 , f2 , .... match.

Two lines are considered to be duplicates if all fields of the table entries match.

The DELETE ADJACENT DUPLICATES statement is especially useful if the internal table itab is sorted by fields (whether in ascending or descending order) which were compared during duplicate determination. In this case, the deletion of neighbouring duplicates is the same as the deletion of all duplicates.
If a comparison criterion is only known at runtime, it can be specified dynamically as the content of a field name by using COMPARING ... (name) ... . If name is blank at runtime, the comparison criterion is ignored. If name contains an invalid component name, a runtime error occurs.
Comparison criteria - statistically or dynamically specified - can be further restriced by specifying the offset and/or length.

Performance
Deleting a line from an internal table incurs index maintenance costs which depend on the index of the line to be deleted. The runtime depends on the line width of the table.
For example, deleting a line in the middle of an internal table with 200 entries requires about 10 msn (standardized microseconds).
Deleting a range of entries with " DELETE itab FROM idx1 TO idx2. " deleting a set of entries with " DELETE itab WHERE ... " only incur index maintenance costs once. Compared with a LOOP , which deletes line-by-line, this is much faster.
To delete neighboring, duplicate entries from an internal table, use the variant " DELETE ADJACENT DUPLICATES FROM itab. " instead of LOOP constructions.

Address Book Duplicate Entries

When I opened my idisk address book, all my entries are duplicated - 200 each in their twice. Is there an easy way to remove these duplicate entries. When I look at my address book on my laptop, their are no duplicates.

This is actually a . Mac Sync issue, for which there is a forum located here.
To correct the problem, you should temporarily disable .Mac synchronization by changing your interval to Manually, then open the System Preferences application, press the .Mac pane, then the Advanced tab. Wait for the list of devices to refresh, then press the Reset Sync Data… button in the lower left corner.
From the Replace: menu, choose Contacts. Press the right-facing arrow so that the direction of data flow indicates your computer as the source, and .Mac as the destination. The orange animated arrow will be shown moving from left to right, and the phrase above will change to read "On .Mac with Sync info from this computer."
Press the Replace button to entirely replace the existing 200 records, 100 of which are duplicates, with a set of just the 100 basic records stored in the Address Book on your computer.

How do I remove duplicate entries in my Contact List?

I imported my contact list from MS Outlook, but for some reason there are many duplicate entries in Thunderbird.

Duplicate entries getting posted using FB01

Hi All,
I am facing a very strange problem which I have never heard of before.
There is a report program which picks up an input file from the application server and posts the entries. This input file will contain all the details about header record, vendor line items and G/L line items.
The report checks for duplicate entries comparing the reference number and the vendor. It discards the duplicate entries. It does not post duplicate entries.
Now, the input file contains the reference number only once. It also has multiple line items for that refernce. But has posted two identical documents having same reference, company code, etc. The only thing that is different is the document number and the time of entry. There is just a few seconds gap between the posting of the two entries.
Ideally FB01 should also not allow to post such identical entries.
Please suggest possible reasons for such postings.

Manually everything is working fine. Also through this report everything works fine always except for this case which happened.
The input file had a lot of references for posting. But just one got duplicated. So, I was just wondering what could have gone wrong.
Could it be because of some database commit or due to some memory buffer refresh which did not happen by mistake.
I'm just trying to figure out some possible causes for such a thing.

Duplicate Entries when generating Essbase Log Analyzer Chart

In EAS Console when i right click -->Sample application -->Generate Log Chart and then go View Log Charts i can see duplicate entries below the chart area, when i click refresh. Has anyone come across this issue before?

In my selection screen i have 3 fields-

customer no--kunnr
email id -
when i give inputs in this selection screen fields and execute it mail is sent and
the inputs given for the fields are stored in a ZTABLE.

once it gets stored in the ztable. if once again i am giving the
same input, it doesnot get stored in my ztable.

Email messages from my personal email account are being posted (copied) to SMS messages. I have a new cell device, and this is happening on the new device also. The copy/forward to SMS is NOT being initiated by my email provider. How do I end this?

Maybe I'm missing something but how can Verizon have control over your personal GMail account? Sounds like you do have your email set up to forward to sms.
I have certain emails that are forwarded to me as SMS but that is an option that is enabled on the email side of things and is independent from Verizon.
