Email Problem sending to same domain

Since Sunday night GMT+8, I have problem with sending mail to same domain user. Sometimes bounced and sometimes ok. I figure out there is some change in BIS's BB server
Bounced mail msg: Remote host said: 553 5.7.1 <[email protected]>: Sender address rejected: not logged in
Bounced mail header:
Return-Path: <[email protected]>
X-Env-Sender: [email protected]
Success mail header:
Return-Path: <SRS0=zEpRSk=36=xxxx.com=[email protected]>
Seems BIS has changed server, I have tried different with same result, also different carrier.
Is anyone have same problem? And how to solve it?
I have try http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB11036 but after I added those address in my server. other user cannot send out mail.
My server runs on postfix, config as follow:
 mynetworks = 127.0.0.1, 202.82.211.146, 206.51.26.0/24, 193.109.81.0/24, 204.187.87.0/24, 206.53.144.0/20, 216.9.240.0/20, 216.9.247.0/24, 67.223.64.0/19, 93.186.16.0/20, 68.171.224.0/19, 74.82.64.0/19, 173.247.32.0/19, 178.239.80.0/20, 180.149.148.0/22, 180.168.204.0/22, 206.53.144.0/20, 67.223.64.0/19, 180.149.149.0/22
smtpd_recipient_restrictions =
    permit_mynetworks,
    permit_sasl_authenticated,
Is mynetworks setting not correct?

Thanks I have another web site using Host Excellent and it works fine with Comcast

  • Having Problems Sending to Some Domains

Just started in the last week or so.. From webmail, I am unable to send mail to some domains. One is mailwise.com.
    Here are their MX records:
    mailwise.com. MX IN 3600 inbound.mailwise.com. [Preference = 10]
    mailwise.com. MX IN 3600 smtpbackup.mailwise.com. [Preference = 20]
This is what their servers show when smtpout.mac.com initially connects to send the message:
    Apr 17 13:39:24 ib15 postfix/smtpd[4755]: connect from smtpout.mac.com[17.250.248.182]
    Apr 17 13:39:24 ib15 postfix/smtpd[4755]: disconnect from smtpout.mac.com[17.250.248.182]
You can see the disconnect within a half of a second. No error is seen or produced by the MailWise servers and no message is received. Yahoo, AOL, and several corporate email systems that I tested do not have any problem sending to this domain.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks,
    Ryan

    Hi Terry_P,
    Welcome to the forum.
Are you using an email client or webmail? How long ago did this problem occur? Do you know how many accounts are affected?

  • Sending an email to user on same domain but hosted on another system

I need to be able to send emails to users of the same domain, but where their mailbox is hosted by a different (non-Exchange) system.
I've attempted it but got the usual "The email address you entered couldn't be found. Please check the recipient's email address and try to resend the message. If the problem
    continues, please contact your helpdesk."
Is there something I can set up in ECP?
    Roger

    Hi ,
Please have a look in to the below mentioned options.
    option 1 :
1.Please add the recipient email address domain suffix as the authoritative domain in the accepted domain list in the exchange .
2.In case if you have the recipient mail email address domain suffix is already added on the accepted domain list as an authoritative domain . Then the next step is to have the mail enabled contact for the recipient mailbox which is hosted on the non-exchange
system.Otherwise you will be getting an NDR which says that the recipient address is not found on the exchange system.Because recipient email address domain suffix is added as authoritative. That means our exchange server is responsible for the sending and
receiving emails for that particular domain.
3.Then you need to have the send connector to send emails to the address space of the mailbox which is located on the non-exchange system.
    Option 2 :
1.Second option would be to add the recipient domain suffix as an internal relay on the exchange server's accepted domain list .On such case you don't need to have the mail enabled contact for the mailbox which is hosted on the non exchange system.
2.Then you need to have the send connector to send emails to the address space of the mailbox which is located on the non-exchange system.
Note : In case you have any of the above option implemented but still you are facing the issues means then we need to suspect the auto complete cache in the outlook .So please clear the particular email address from the autocomplete in the outlook and check
the results.Same time while composing the new emails please try to select the email address from the GAL instead of choosing it from OAB.
Please reply me if anything is unclear.
    Thanks & Regards S.Nithyanandham

  • Can't send email from internal server, same domain name as external.

We have a domain "example.com", hosted externally, for email and a website.  We are thinking of hosting email 'inhouse' and have setup a dedicated subdomain on a 'fixed' IP, "mini.example.com" for AFP services mainly. mini.example.com provides DNS internally, its primary zone is also example.com. All access to the external web goes thru' a modem/router that the server is connected to. We have to set an A record for www access to our website.
In our testing to migrate email, the internal setup works fine, until the switch over.  Now we can receive mail to the mini server, but can't send any out.
We instructed our webhost provider to set the CNAME mail.example.com to point to mini.example.com and created a cPanel MX extry mail.example.com, 10 priority.  Previously, the external host had CNAME as mail.example.com to example.com and MX as example.com, 10 priority.
Since the implementation of the CNAME change, we can't send emails out and they get stuck at the outbox waiting. Client Mail app, says to check for port and SSL and account settings.
Any idea where we went wrong here and what we can do to get emails out? We could go to each computer and point-off the DNS to office IP, but we rather not.
    Thanks!

Thank you Camelot and MrHoffman for your replies.
I got in this am to find Mail.app could actually send out emails and I'm stratching my head wondering what happened yesterday.
SMTP server addresss was manually set to mail.example.com for all accounts. In trying to get things to work, the mail setup was redone again by "Accounts", in Systems Preferences, when Login is clicked on, and mail was automatically given a SMTP as mini.example.com instead of mail.example.com.  I'm guessing that that could be where the initial 'inside' problems were, given that it had a 0 answer to the MX query. Or then again I wasn't patient enough.
Just for completeness, and if there's something to learn from here, these are the dig results for example.com as seen from within the office network.

  • Problem Sending / Receiving Netnames Domain Mail V...

This has happened before (but not for a few years). The core problem occurs when sending and receiving NetNames domain e mails via a single BT Yahoo account. This more or less ground to a halt on Thursday and has been a problem for a fourth day today.
As a test I have changed the forwarding on one domain so it now points to a hotmail account. That domain's mail now seems to be working as long as the original e mail is not sent from a BT account. Which suggests a unique problem between the two entities.
The remaining domains I control (those belonging to clients) are still pointed to BT Yahoo which does not appear to be sending or receiving any mail for those .coms and .co.uks etc.
Usually works fine (web mail, the BT Yahoo ap, Blackberry and via OE all ok normally) but any problem usually has both BT and NM denying resonsibility and tends to drag on. Time I do not have.
Anyone else got this issue? Anyone at BT got a helpful suggestion?

Hi Anthony, some ISPs won't pass .mp3s, does one smaller one work?
Mail itself has no limit to attachments as far as I know.
Also, 16 meg sent via eMail could easily be 24-32 meg once encoded to send.
Can you post them online & just eMail them a link?

  • Email cannot send to some domains(error message: 451 4.4.2 Connection dropped due to Socket Error)

We have an Exchange 2010 but could not able to send emails to some domains only.
Checked on some posts but could not find the solution. Pls help on this

    Hi DennisMak,
I recommend you refer to the following methods to troubleshoot the issue:
1.Please check if there are any 3rd party firewall feature to cause this issue.
2.Check if these domains in blacklist.

  • TS3276 I recently installed LION and have been having email problems, sending and receiving since. My server (Cable-fiber optics) tell me they see nothing wrong, that it is a program issue. I get messages about not recognizing the certificate.

If I click the go-ahead button, I am warned about not be assured of security danger. This keep happening over and over. It is a pain using email since LION. I went into Keychain Access and tried choosing an Apple certificate, but that is never permanent. Should I just ignore the warning? Will this kind of problem disappear with Mountain Lion? Is there a solution?

What email program are you using?

  • Outlook express email problem sending emails

Hello, I am afraid I am a novice with the new iPad I have just acquired but I have followed the instructions on connecting to the internet and setting up my email but everything works but although my email messages arrive I cannot send a message. I have checked the input and applied my mail.btconnect.com server details with my name and password on Port 25 but the mailboxes show my inbox only and no outbox? can anyone help. Thank you.

I really can't be of much help. Try the following links, they suggest that you remove your username and password from the outgoing server settings:

  • Group email problem

I have created a group in address book - all valid email addresses etc. When I attempt to send to group, nothing happens. Tried to send to individual members BCC (do not want to spray people's addresses about) and the system seems to corrupt the addresses, putting at either end and including their names in "" - all of which causes Mail to say that the address is not valid. Any ideas how to fix this one?

    Hi
I have quite a bit of experience with this, as I have been supporting the 250,000 users of our "MailShot Pro" group email app every day for several years, and I am pretty sure the problem is with Comcast.
A number of our customers have told us that they were unable to send email to larger groups using their Comcast accounts, but as soon as they swapped to sending from a free iCloud.com or Gmail.com account, the problem disappeared. I am therefore pretty sure the problem lies with Comcast's anti-spam routines.
One other, less-likely, possibility which I have seen myself with Yahoo, is that some mail servers may reject an entire email silently if there is one wrong email address on the same "@" domain that you are sending from.
    I hope this helps

  • Problem sending mail with authentication

Please help as I've spent the last two days trying various things to solve my problem to no avail. I have been able to send email through the smtp server I have access to (just for interest, smtp.cs.stir.ac.uk), to email addresses in the same domain (e.g [email protected]) because the server does not require me to log in to do this - I can do it anonymously.
My problem comes when I try to send an email outwith the cs.stir.ac.uk subdomain, (e.g [email protected]) because it requires me to login. So I set about learning about authenticating with smtp servers using the javamail package, and I found two methods of doing it, both of which threw a javax.mail.AuthenticationFailedException. I believe this exception is only thrown when a username or password is wrong and I can't understand it because I'm definitely using the same user/pass combo as I do to log into my webmail. The stack trace for the exception is:

try logging in to the SMTP server with that username/pwd manually. i've done this in win32 using telnet...
at the command prompt, enter "telnet mail.host.com 143", then from within telnet type "a1 login username password". the SMTP server should respond with something like "a1 OK LOGIN completed" if accepted. then, close the session by entering "a2 logout" (or just kill the telnet session).
the exchange should look like this:
    telnet mail.host.com 143 * OK IMAP4rev1 server ready (3.0.14)
    a1 login username password
    a1 OK LOGIN completed
    a2 logout
    * BYE IMAP4rev1 Server logging out
    a2 OK LOGOUT completed
    Connection to host lost.

  • How to send email to a SMTP server over a secure channel using STARTTLS setting of a send connector (Exchange and SMTP server are in the same domain)

I’m trying to send email using exchange send connector STARTTLS setting to the SMTP server. I have read multiple documents on configuring TLS for send connector, but they talks about outbound connections to internet facing servers. My Exchange 2013 and SMTP
server is in the same domain (let’s say A.com) and I’m creating dummy domains on my SMTP server (e.g.
    [email protected],
[email protected] ) and their respective send connectors on the exchange server end. In the smart host section added the IP address of the SMTP server and in the scoping section added the SMTP domain address (e.g. dummy1.local ). In the FQDN field, added
the FQDN of the exchange server 2013 which certificate is enabled with SMTP service.
Could you tell me a step by step procedure, where I’m going wrong or any extra settings needs to added?
Presently, it is giving me an error that 530 5.5.1 TLS encrypted connection is required.
Note: I’ve created the Microsoft CA certificates for the SMTP and exchange servers and imported them in the personal certificate container. In which, the exchange certificate is created with FQDN name of the server and enabled for the SMTP service.
I’m using OPENSSL certificate for making the SMTP server TLS enabled. (let me know, if I need to import the OPENSSL certificate anywhere on the exchange end)?
    Thanks!

-IgnoreSTARTTLS is set to false on the send connector properties.

Double check your contacts email, and if its incorrect, go to their contact and change it and save it or you can delete the email you put in, and manually type it in.
    Hope this helps.
How would that help the original poster?

  • IPHONE: PROBLEM SENDING EMAILS IN/OUT OF HOME ISP'S NETWORK

    THE PROBLEM:
Some Home ISPs won't allow their users to use the same SMTP port when they are inside or outisde their Network to send an email of their ISP's domain
    ([email protected]).
This prevents the iPhone user from being able to send emails flawlessly when switching from/to his home ISP's Network (WiFi) and his Cellular Network.
    THE RESOLUTION:
Create a secondary SMTP server with a different port.
    → Goto: Settings
    → Mail Contacts Calendars
    → Select the account
    → Click the SMTP field
    → Click Add Server
→ Put the same info as the primary one, but change the port #.
    For instance, common SMTP ports include 25, 110, 465, 583, 587...
This information should be gained from your specific ISP.
In my case, SMTP port has to be 583 at home, connected to my WiFi, while it has to be 25 if I'm on my cell Network. If not, I can't send emails, user is rejected.
As the iPhone will first try the primary server, than the secondary if the first dosen't work, I had this idea to create this twin server, except for the port number.
Works great for me, hope it'll help a lot of people.
    eYe

    Tried that, but didn't work.
Called Applecare, couldn't figure it out.
Had this idea soon after going to bed.
    This idea just works...
    So, just thought I'd share...

  • 9500 problems sending email

I have no issues recieving email from BT internet account with but sending mail over vodafone internet connection generates message Connecting to email via Vodafone internet and then a pop up box PROBLEM SENDING MESSAGE
    System:
    Disconnected
    Any ideas

This occurs quite normally and is nothing to worry about.
It you cannot send emails remember that as a security measure you usually cannot send emails outside of your account domain without enabling SMTP authentication - change your email account settings to do this.
Look under 'Tools', 'Account Settings', 'Servers Tab' and 'use SMTP authentication' and set the username and password (normally these are the same as the usual username/password).
