Email problems with HTC Rhyme. Anyone else?

I am having trouble sending and receiving emails with my HTC Rhyme. I have yahoo and outlook.com. I am not receiving all of my email. I also show emails that have been deleted on my computer already. Have to resend most of my email messages. Anyone have suggestions?

I can imagine how frustrating it is to have email issues with your phone. I also had issues with my Yahoo account (no issues with my Gmail and other accounts) for some reason. I was able to resolve my Yahoo email issues by deleting the Yahoo email account from my phone and using only the Yahoo mail application http://bit.ly/UXvYa8 Give it a try and keep us posted.

Problems with Home button, anyone else experiencing this?

Okay so over the last few days, my home button seems to be playing up but in a weird way.
If I press the sleep button then the home button to reactivate the screen, I have no problems what so ever. However if the phone auto-sleeps and I go to use the home button to reactivate then I have to press the home button between 5 and 10 times to get it to wake up! (**** lazy phone lol)
Was just wondering if anyone else has been experiencing this?
My only problem is, I can't take it back to the apple store, it was bought back from Australia and is factory unlocked, so what do i do?

I think the phone just glitched up completely.
It was no longer picking up my wifi, turned the phone off then back on, picking up wifi and home button works as it should.

Problems with headphone jack -- anyone else?

My wife's 4G Nano has problems with the headphone jack, and we are sending it back for repair. The unit played one channel through both earbuds, and on many songs the difference is not that noticeable, so we didn't even know it had a problem for a day or so. On other songs, the problem was obvious because you could barely hear the vocals. Also, maximum volume was much lower than it should have been. I have seen at least two other posts on this board indicating a similar problem. I suspect there may be others with the same problem who don't even realize it because on some songs the difference is very subtle. Mine would only play true stereo when you inserted the plug halfway into the jack and held it there. If you suspect you might have the same problem, try that. You might have to push "Play" again because removing the plug often stops playback.

I had the same problem with a 16Gig that I ordered the day they were announced: one channel very weak but if you pull the plug half way out it seemed to function. It didn't really function though. By pulling it out you hit a point where both earphones are playing off the same channel. I looked in the headphone jack with a microscope and could see either contamination or removed gold from the contact in the nano to the channel on the tip of the plug.
At first they wanted me to return it for repair but I refused since I didn't pay for a refurb or repaired unit and it had come to me defective. They ultimately replaced it for me and now it seems to work fine. It is not a real obvious problem, but looking here on the forum I'd say it is a not uncommon problem which indicates that their quality control needs improvement.

Audio static problems with video playback - Anyone Else?

I went to archive.org and downloaded two movies for my iPod. Great. However, when played on the iPod there is this scratch/pop in the headphones every couple of seconds.
It doesn't matter what headphones you use.
It doesn't happen when you play the same video on the computer either in iTunes or Quicktime Player. And this is definitely more than the normal hiss and pop of old movies. Its piercing when you have in ear headphones on and quite distracting with apple buds.
What I am wondering if this is a problem with all iPods or just mine?
I don't have the problem with music videos or home made movies. Just the two movies I downloaded from archive.org. However, they do play fine on my computer. This is my last day to return the iPod and get a new one instead of service unit (which his actually probably new also because the Apple Service dept probably hasn't had refurbs yet, but I digress).

I'm having the same problem with a file from archive.org. The file plays back fine using QT on my PC, but on the ipod the audio has periodic bursts of static.

Same here...plopped down >$2700 USD on a new Retina MBP a few weeks ago with the promise of a free upgrade to ML when it was released. Now, I have no doubts that I'll get the upgrade but I'm not crazy about having to wait behind scads of others who are shelling out a mere $20 bucks.
I was given the same 72 hour speech by Apple Customer Support. With my Up-To-Date claim reference number in hand, it seems like they would/could provide an instant turn-around to those of us who are excited/eager enough to call in.
Apple does a lot of things right but people...especially the clientele that gravitate toward Apple products...expect excellence across the board. It's like a "nearly" perfect date....beautiful night...best table in the restaurant...delicious dinner with a fabulous bottle of wine...your date is smokin' hot in a little black dress. On the way back to her place, she unbuckles her seatbelt and leans across with a hand towards your leg and then lets a gigantic, tear-demanding **** that makes you want to gag. The next day somebody asks, "How was your date?"

this is all greek to me. WHAT IS STARTTLS? On the first page of Apple set up there is a TLS certificate and it is marked NONE- should I change it to the long APPLE CERT option? The next page under ADVANCED: THERE IS A BOX SSL MARKED. Then IMAP Path Prefix - I put stmp.gmail.com.. is that right? Port 993 can use this one? as 456 doesn't work and 587 said it wasn't safe. Under AUTHENTICATION I used PASSWORD. Should I have used external client cert TLS?

Mapping Problem with IF...Else

HI,
im having problems with my if then else condition.
What i want to have. (ORDERS IDOC)
IF E1EDKA1-PARVW = WE and
    E1EDKA1-LIFNR = "XX" then CONSTANT ("true")
else Constant ("false").
If i use only one E1EDKA1 segment ... it works.
If i use many E1EDKA1 segments and use if without else ... it works.
But i cant get it with if then else. I will allways get the else value.
any ideas ?

Did you try different headphones!?
If it's sounding the same thing on different headphones then you might have changed the Left-Right balance
Have a look at Settings -> General -> Accessibility
There's a slider for L-R
If it's in the center then the headphone through which you're facing the problem might be damaged, try twisting the headphone wire of the speaker of the headphone (left or right) where you are encountering less volume.
If it's sounding altogether same on all the circumstances, the headphone jack might be damaged. Get your phone to the Apple Store and book an appointment

Had to work off safari to watch netflix via silverlight... tried uninstalling silverlight and reinstalling, but it appears the silverlight plug in will not work with firefox 4. anyone else experience this problem?

This new version is terrible !! It keeps on glitching on me so that I cannot burn cd's. My playlist is replaced with "list" . Anyone else having this problem ? Suggestions ?

I keep on getting a glitch that changes my options at the top. I lose the "playlist" option and it is replaced by "list". I cannot burn cd's without the playlist option. Anyone else having problems with glitches? Any suggestions ? I've already uninstalled and reinstalled twice with no luck.

I ended up getting a new phone, straight through Apple. I called their technical support and went through all he basics again and they decided to replace it. Was a pretty quick process - after defaulting and resetting the whole phone (about 2 hours), I called them back to inform that there was no change, so they set up the order.
I had to give my CC# so they could hold a charge on it (in case I didn't send my old phone bach, which they sent me a pre-posted package to send it in anyway). Had a brand new iPhone 4S in my hands in 4 days, which was pretty decent. I had uploaded everything previously to iCloud, so setting up the new phone was a snap.
Only thing I really didn't like was they charged me almost 30 bucks for shipping or processing, or something. Not so sure that should have been my responsibility after spending so much on a brand new product, only to have to have it warrantied after, like, a month.

Games crashing on XP with boot camp, anyone else have this problem?

I got my new MacBook for christmas (2.4 ghz & 4GB ram) and have just put XP on it using boot camp.
I've updated to SP3 and updated all drivers from the apple disk and internet, the problem I'm having is the games play fine for about 10mins and then the fans go into overdrive and after a few more minutes the game crashes and freezes. This happens with every game I have installed.
Anyone else having this problem, know a fix?

It sounds like the HD is the problem (either hardware or software related). My vote is "hardware". However, try the following steps in the event the problem is software related.
First, hold down the shift key on the start-up. This puts the computer start-up into Safe Mode. If the HD is recognized as the start-up disk, then continue through the log-in. When the start-up is finished, restart the computer, this time without holding down the shift key.
If it doesn't work, there may be HD directory corruption. To "repair the disk" insert your Tiger Installer DVD (disk 1). After it loads, restart the system, holding down the C key when the screen turns dark. Once the grey Apple screen appears you can let go of the C key.
When the DVD is fully loaded, select Disk Utility in the Utility menu. A window will open showing your HD on the left. Single click on your HD, then select "repair disk" in the lower right of the screen. If errors appear during the "repair", rerun the utility until you get a clean pass. Depending on the Then quit the Utility and Installer, letting the computer restart.
As an aside, repairing permissions using the Installer DVD sets the system's permissions to those in use for the OS X version on that DVD. If your HD has a later version of OS X, it is possible that the incorrect permissions were set when you used Disk Utility in the Installer DVD to repair them. Best approach is to use Disk Utility in your Utilities folder after logging-in, rather than the Installer Disc.

I have been having problems with my FaceTime for the last few weeks. Up to then I was able to use it daily and then it suddenly stopped functioning. I have 4 friends in the same situation. Is there a problem centrally with Apple? Anyone else with problems

I have been using FaceTime regularly over the past year or so and suddenly it has stopped working. It seems to dial up and says its connecting and then just switches off. I have a number of other friends who are also having problems with this and also on their iPhones. Does anyone have an answer to this problem?
