Email recipient as VIP?

Hello All,
I have an iPhone 5 that is running IOS 8 and I have a mail question.
I am currently using Exchange server for mail and would like to assign a recipient as a VIP. Everything I have been reading talks about adding a sender as a VIP.
Here is what I am trying to accomplish:
I am a member of several Exchange distribution groups, some more important than others. One of them is a management DL that I would like any email that goes to that DL show as VIP. This email can be from anyone in my company, but the recipient email address (DL) is what I want to be VIP, not the sender.
Can anyone let me know if this is possible?

Hi! I apologize if this question has been previously asked within this forum but a user here in the office is experiencing a particular problem with email alarm notifications in iCal 3.0.8.
This particular user is using version 3.0.8 of iCal and has imported several different calendars from past users in the office. I do know we've had some trouble with different versions of iCal not working together, which might be part of this problem, but here's what we're experiencing:
Although this user has a vast address book, there is only one lone email recipient that pops up under the "email" list when editing an event - it's my particular email address, as I'm in everyone's address book as the IT contact and usually key in my information as the contact whenever I'm installing OS X on a particular machine.
We have tried manipulating entries in all of the previously defined calendar(s) in addition to setting up a brand new calendar file. Regardless, this single email address is the only one that's available for selection.
I have further tried deleting the .plist file associated with iCal and have even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the application without any luck.
Before I do a clean install of the OS on this machine, does anyone have any advice? Many thanks!

How do I email pdfs from my WP7 phone to an email recipient?

I have and HTC Trophy with Windows 7 Mango. I am able to view pdf but not do anything else with them.
According to all of my research on Google and Bing, as well as talking to HTC directly, it appears that the current version of Acrobat Reader for Mobile is unable to support emailing a file to an email recipient. On all previous versions of my windows phones, I was able to do this.
Is anyone aware of a app or upgrade to Adobe that will allow me to send a pdf from my phone to an email recipient?
As much as I like my new phone, I will have to go back to my WP 6.1, if I am unable to perform a simple task like emailing a pdf to someone.

Outlook 2013 - BCC field won't auto populate with frequent email recipient. In the TO or CC, if they enter the first initial of a recipient, it auto-suggests recipients. This does not happen in the BCC field. Is there an option to turn that on?

Does this issue happen to a certain client or many of them?
There is no separate option to enable/disable auto-complete for Bcc field.
Since auto-complete works in the To and Cc fields, it means the auto-complete is not corrupt. We may try turn off the Auto-Complete and turn on it again to see the result. To do this, go to
File > Options > Mail, scroll down to the
Send messages section, clear the check box before "Use Auto-Complete List to suggest names when typing in the To, Cc, Bcc lines". Click
OK. Check the box again, click OK and see the result.
We may also test it in Outlook safe mode. To do this, press Windows key + R to open the Run command, type
outlook.exe /safe and press Enter.
Please let me know the result.

How to map CC to Dynamic Email Recipient

Hi ,
I am using BO XI 3.1.
I created a Publication with source Document as Web Intelligence Report and used Dynamic Recipients (Source Web Intelligence Report). I have configured the destination as Email and sending report in PDF format as attachment.
The publication is working fine.
Her my question is; I want to add CC in the mail which also should be dynamic. That means I want to pick up the email addresses from same Source Web I Document which contains column for CC. But there is no additional placeholder available to map CC Email address.
Can any one tell me how can I achieve this?
Is there any way so that I can Add additional place holder (eg. %SI_EMAIL_ADDRESS2%).
Or there is any other way around using SDK.
Please advice.

But this is the requirement from business users and they are not ready with any work around.
I have resolved this.
Instead of using Email as Destination, I used Files System as destination.
The list of desired recipient along with filename to be sent in email as attachment and its location is stored in database table.
And created one small Java utility which will send an email with file attachment from the file folder and send it to the desired email receipient by reading from the above database table. I scheduled this small java utility after execution of the Publication.

Order output send with attachment to external email recipient

Hello,
We have a requirement that we should be able to send an email with an orderconfirmation attached (like BA00) to specific contact persons (maybe one, maybe multiple contact persons) But this should be not the email in the customer master general data. This email is not internal, we need to send external emails with the document attached (PDF).
Also this requirement should be also for invoices (RD00), it could be that this is an other person than the contact person for the order confirmation.
Our first thought was to use the contact persons and create 2 new entries, order confirmation recipient and invoice recipient. In this contact person we can add an e-mail address .
First, we created a condition record for output BA00 in VV12. We use standard communication strategy CS01 and with partner function CP (Contact Person) and add the number of the contact person (which is found in customer master).
Only then we get the following messages:
Message no. AM016
Please enter an address number
Message no. SVN000
Communication type cannot be used
Ok, this is due to that CP is missing in partner functions, so we add this then the output is send to the contact person. This is fine and working.
But the problem is that we want to have this for multiple recipients, so for example 2 contact persons. You cannot create the same condition record for two recipients, so you can leave the partner empty in VV12. But when you enter an order, you get a popup for which CP you want to create this order. So only one is possible.
Now we saw that there is a partner function MA (Mail partner address) is available. I have looked and searched but cannot find the exact function of this partner function. Like the MP (Mail partner) is internal, I expect this one to be external mail.
But the only problem is with this partner function, we cannot add this to the partner determination for customer master.
So how are we able to set this up? Any suggestion is appreciated and when usable also awarded.

Symbol at end of file name prevents email recipient from opening PDF

The special symbol looks like: ˥ However, there is a tiny little arrow that is on the end of the horizontal part that points left. It is located immediately after the file name, but before the .extension. I have been sending out resumes and the ones that appear with this symbol in the shadow box (the file name box that appears if you hover over the icon once it has been attached via email) appear as a blank (but gray) PDF once it is opened by the recipient.
What is this and how do I stop it?

1. Which version of Adobe Reader are you using (You can check the same from Help > About Adobe Reader)
2. Which OS are you using?
3. How exactly are you attaching the PDFs to the emails? Are you using the Attach to Email functionality from within Reader? Or are you attaching them by yourself?

BEx Broadcasting Email recipient issue

Hi Guys,
We're having an issue in broadcasting the report. The email has been sent twice to the same user.
The broadcasting is triggered via ABAP program in the process chain.
For example:
User A with a@ abc.com have received email from the broadcasting
User B with b@ abc.com didnu2019t received email, instead it have been sent to user A (a@ abc.com)
The email addresses for this solution are stored in master data object.
We have check ABAP logs and it looks correct but when we check the emails sent from SCOT it showing that the email have been sent prior to the next recipient of the report.
Any suggestion what might be the issue?

Drop down that fills a second field and sets the email recipient

(note: this was incorrecty posted in the Acro forum and I was informed to move it here)
Apologies for this simple, newbie question but I am stuck. I have worked on this for a few hours, and just cannot get it to work.
The basics: I want to get a name from a drop down, have it display in another field then set the submit button to email to that recipient.

I have done this with one recipient before where the Submit button has all the info already entered, but this time I want to allow the user to choose from one recipient in a list and route the completed form to that person. I have tried all sorts of variations on Java examples in multiple forums and while everyone else seems to be able to do this, I have been unsuccessful. I cannot even get the text field to display the email based on the name in the drop down, much less the addressing part. I have tried a custom calculate script, case script and other items to no avail.
The 3 elements........
1) Drop down menu with names, let's just say there are two names - "John Doe (Eastern)" and "Jane Smith (Western)". The field is named "DistMgr".
2) Text Field that displays the corresponding email for the name in DistMgr. Pretty much only used for display to confirm the address visually. This field is named "Email".
3) Attach & Email button to send the form to the recipient chosen. Subject is always the same, lets just say it says "New Form". The button is named "Submit".
What I want to do is select the name from DistMgr, have it populate Email (for display in the form) and automatically change the Submit button to allow the user attach the fom, insert the appropriate email address & the standard subject and invoke a standard email client with just the click of the Submit button.
Any help would be appreciated and even links to locations where this very basic question has already been answered would work.

Are you using Adobe LiveCycle Designer? If so when you have the form open in designer, click on the dropdowns you will see in the code behind that dropdown where it calls a variable which is called myScriptObject. Behind the drop-down list called "teams" it calls this script.

EMAIL: "Recipient Rejected By Server" Error

I'm trying to send an email to my home email on Roadrunner. I checked to make sure that all the spellings are correct and I can receive email from this account on the iPhone.
When I try to send to this account from the iPhone, I get a message that says "Cannot Send Mail. A copy has been placed in your outbox. Recipient "[email protected]" was rejected by the server."
What does that mean and how do I fix it. I'm getting this on my wife's email address too (also Roadrunner).

I am having the same issue, however I'm using a POP3 account through my own domain mail server. in addition, to complicate things, if I send an email to myself or someone else hosted by the same ISP, it goes through. all of my settings are identical to the settings in Mail on my laptop, and I'm using the same wi-fi network. and, I know for sure that it's not an edge issue, as I dont get any signal here at all (not the iphone's fault - entirely AT+T's).

I wondered if there is someone that can help me. I have an iphone 3g and have my aol email account set up on the phone. It was working fine before I went away on holiday but since I have returned I am unable to send emails as iit keeps saying that the recipient has been rejected as the server does not allow relaying.
I did not use my phone while I was away except for texting so didn't change any settings. I have read through similar questions and have tried all of different things suggested (turning off wifi, although it was never on wifi it was using 3g), making sure that both the primary server and the other SMTP servers are set as on and the details are filled out but still nothing works.
Originally it was only set up with the primary server ticked as on and I never had a problem with it. I've also tried turning the phone off and on again several times and tried the power off and holding down the home key at the same time.
Is there any one who could offer some further advice as it would be much appreciated.

Go into Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>your account>Outgoing mail Server SMTP>Primary Server then turn Server ON and fill in both User Name +Password under Outgoing Mail Server.

Unwanted email recipient addresses won't go away on iPhone4.

How do I prevent my iPhone 4 from displaying email addresses or PREVIOUS recipients (that are not in my contact list) when I begin to email a current recipient. There are certain email addresses from previous emails that I would like to get rid of, but can't.

The only way to get rid of them is to restore the phone.
