Email screen turned blank

I just got my iPad, and after I setup my email on it worked for a while and then the screen turned blank. email is not showing on it.
Help needed

You can try the simple stuff first ....
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears, then slide to the right to power off the iPad. Turn the iPad on again by pressing the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. Once the iPad has fully rebooted, try mail again...
or
Try a hard reset by holding down on the sleep button while holding down on the home button at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears and the iPad restarts - ignore the red slider. Launch the mail app and see what happens.

    Hi redhuggybear84010,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
The first thing I would suggest is to close all of your open apps, restart, and reset your iPhone:
iOS: Force an app to close

iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

If the issue persists, Reset All Settings on the iPhone.  This information can be found in the iPhone User Guide:
    Reset iPhone settings - iPhone
    http://help.apple.com/iphone/7/#/iph7a2a9399b
Reset iPhone settings. Go to Settings > General > Reset, then choose
Reset All Settings: All your preferences and settings are reset.
If the issue still persists, follow the troubleshooting steps below:

Restore from iTunes. It is hard to say if you want to backup or rather revert to an old backup. I would recommend to save the previous backups to a safe place and then backup the current state and later test the backups incase your iPhone comes back to proper life.

  • IMac's screen turns blank randomly

    Hi,
My iMac's screen turns blank randomly a few times in the past three days. It works fine after I reboost it. But, I have been keeping losing the files I am working on. Any one know what's wrong with it? Woud it be virus or malware? My mac is on OS X 10.6.8. 2.8 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo, Memory 4 GB.
    Thanks a lot!

Contact Apple Service, iMac Service or Apple's Express Lane. Do note that if you have AppleCare's protection plan and you're within 50 miles (80 KM) of an Apple repair station, you're eligible for onsite repair since yours is a desktop machine.

  • Email screen is blank?

I'm on my iPad mini and every time that I try to check my email the screen is blank. I've checked my settings and I've checked the support here at apple but everything seems to be in order. I don't understand what's going on.

Can you see the previews in the inbox? Launch the mail app and turn your iPad to landscape orientation. Tap on your InBox. Do you see previews in the window on the left? If you do see previews - tap on of them. Still not seeing anything in the window on the right?
Quit the mail app completely and restart the iPad - or reboot the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

  • Screen turns blank all it sudden...

I installed SL on a MBP all went normal, but now all it sudden the screen turns black. All I can do is to push the power on/off button till it reboots.
All works fine and then all it sudden I loose the screen again.
I was on skype with a friend while it happened, sound and everything else was still going fine, only the screen turned black (actually very dark gray).
This happens since I installed SL, it does get a little better (had waaay more blank outs shortly after the install) but I normally don't get more then maybe 30 minutes out of the laptop before I have to restart it again.
    Any ideas? Any help?
    Sure appreciated.
    Thanks

I had a similar experience this weekend. First road trip with my MBP converted to SL. I normally get the "you are running on reserve power" notification when I'm running low, but when watching movies on the flight out and back, the computer spontaneously went black - I thought it had shut down out of power. But both times when I later turned it back on I had more than 25% power still remaining. I was thinking it was some kind of problem between the DVD player app and low power notification, but after reading this I am wondering if the screen simply went black as is being described. Unfortunately I did not even try to reboot it after it went dead, assuming it was simply out of power.
Picking up the 'book and putting it back in my briefcase it did not feel overly or unusually warm. On the way out I was running with an external drive connected to the 'book and on the way back I was watching a DVD ... so the only interesting symptom was that in both cases power usage was a little more (or at least different) than normal (I usually watch movies right from the hard drive). The worst thing is that the spontaneous shutdown on the way out seemed to have killed my little external drive - I mean dead. Can't even find it at all in Disk Utility - pretty weird, but that smacks of some kind of power event as well.

  • EMAIL SCREEN GOES BLANK

When trying to retrieve my emails on my iPad, the screen goes blank.... HELP

I was trying to help another person with the same issue yesterday & this morning my email did the same thing.  For me, the app appears to open then immediately closes & I am left looking at my background wallpaper.
I was then able to get into my email by double tapping the home button, swiping up the dark translucent window (crashed email app) then reopening the email app .
The only two emails I have set up are iCloud & gmail.  I have since been going through all my gmail folders, deleting unnecessary emails & emptying the trash.
So far, so good but not sure why this started happening.  Did you try closing all apps & then reopening the email?

  • TS3274 screen turned blank

While playing checkers on his hours old Ipad mini the screen went blank.  We can talk to SIRI but it is beyond her ability to fix it.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • Using ipad2 email screen now blank?

Using iPad 2 can no longer access my email accounts....screen comes up blank?  How do I fix?

Try closing the Mail app completely and then see if it works when you re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Mail 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • My email screen is blank

    Hello everyone,
Recently before I updated my iPhone, my email stopped working. It would go to a blank screen, stay there for a second, then just crash. The crash also happened in settings a few times while trying to adjust the mail settings. HELP! I need email everyday. Thanks everyone.

My email worked just fine and then it just didn't work yesterday.  I didn't change anything.  I use gmail.com and msn.com email addresses.  In "Settings" when I touch email it doesn't respond.  I have to go out of settings and then back in to get it to respond on the other settings.  Does Mobileme have anything to do with this.  I am not sure what Mobileme is or what it does.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

  • Email screen is blank and then crashes

When I launch email on my iPhone it shows a blank screen and then just closes. Any hints? Deleted my accounts and added again. I also have restarted and rebooted my phone.

Try stopping the Mail app, then reset your phone: double-tap the home button, locate the Mail app at the bottom (swiping if necessary), tap and hold it until it wiggles, tap the minus sign to close it.  Now reset your phone: hold the on/off and home buttons until your see the Apple logo (ignore the off slider that appears first), then release.
If the problem still persists, you will probably need to restore your phone.  Follow this guide: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414, backing up your phone at step 6, and restoring from this backup at the end.  If this doesn't fix it you will have to repeat the process, but restore it as a new iPhone.

  • MacBook Pro screen turns blank white when try to turn on!

My MacBook Pro is turning on to startup screen with apple icon and loading signal, but then after a few minutes the screen just turns white. What is wrong?

Reset the PRAM >    Resetting the PRAM
If that doesn't help, if your Mac is running v10.7 Lion, v10.8  Mountain Lion, or v10.9 Mavericks, startup your Mac while holding down the Command + R keys. From there you should be able to repair the startup disk if necessary and restore OS X using OS X Recovery
For OS X prior to v10.7, insert your install disc then startup your Mac while holding down the C key. From there you can use Disk Utility to repair the disk.

  • Watching a rented movie, it stopped then screen turned blank

The videos does not come on...screen total blank

Try searching for the name of one of your videos on the iPad's spotlight search screen - swipe your first homescreen to the right, type in it's name, and if it finds it tap on it to see if it plays.
If that doesn't work then try closing the Videos app completely : from the home screen (i.e.not with the Videos app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Videos app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option if the two above don't work is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
