Email 'send' button not working

I have an odd problem.
The 'Send' button on my Mail application is greyed out so I can still receive mail but I can't send any.
Has anyone any experience of something odd like this, and if so, what advice would you offer?

First is for 10.6, second for 10.5, but both have essentially the same thing for a dimmed send button...make sure the SMTP server is not set to none.

"Send" button not working in Mail

Picked up Leopard on an iMac two days ago. Some of the time when I compose a new email, Mail works fine--I click "send" once I'm through typing and out it goes.
Other times--like this morning--I try to send an email and the "send" button is transparent and does not click. This is not a server issue. I tried adding the recipients to my address book in case there was some weird thing where that had to be done first. But to no avail--the "send" button won't click, nor will the "send" command within the toolbar or drop-down menus--and so I have no clue how I'm supposed to send this email if the button to do it is not working. Help!

Unfortunately, the SMTP and outgoing mail settings aren't the issue. The issue is that the "send" button is visible but un-clickable. I tested sending mail from all of my accounts and it works just fine--sometimes. Other times, I try to reply to an email or send out a new one and the "send" button does not allow me to send anything at all.

Send button not working when text message

When I was texting message with my friends, all of sudden I can't type the respond message unless I have to quit and try to text my friend again. The problem is the box where you typed your message is gray out and "Send" button is inactive or gray out. This problem occurs when I upgraded my iphone 4s to iOS 6.1

After Update today, SEND button no longer activates keyboard. I tapped message window area and that activated the keyboard. SEND button worked to send message. (Not sure how to describe that "message window area", but its the area where your message shows as you type.)

In MSS PCR Send button not working

We are trying to implement ESS/MSS 1.0 SP 8 on EP 7.0 SP 11 and ECC 6.0. We are using the application on https. SSL has been configured and is working fine. We are using PCR under MSS, which also runs on https. SSL for ADS has been configured and we are able to see the PCR pdf forms. Now when we try to edit the form, and click Send button (Review Form and Save phase) its going on to the Completed page, rather remains in an un ending state. The Completed page is not showing up. We tried to use the application on http and everything is working fine.

Solution:
When you configure HTTPS make sure you dont get a popup window of the certificate and even if you get all the three items (like trusted name, expiry etc) should be green and no warning.

BEX Analyzer Send button not working

When we go to BEX Analyzer, run a report and then click on the Send button, we don't get the Send email screen. All we get is a blank IE pop-up. Any help?? We have SCOT configured properly.

Bex Launcher Send button not working

Hi,
Iam using BI 7 / 2004 s. When I execute a query from query designer, it opens in a portal page/ Bex launcher. When I hit the send button it gives an error 404 not found.
Can anyone pls tell me what setting has to be done to overcome this error.

Phone version: Contact form "Send" button not working

The "Send" button on the contact form works when used through a laptop browser, but doesn't work in a cell phone browser. I've tried it with an iPhone 6 and Samsung Dart. Any help is appreciated.

ROS Questionnaire - send button not working

hello,
we're working on ROS scenario for SRM 7.0
after the submission of the supplier registration form, the vendor receives an email that contains the URL of the questionnaire. when the vendor clicks on Send Questionnaire button, the confirmation text "Thank you for participating. Your questionnaire has been saved. " is not coming out, but we were able to receive the questionnaire. is there a missing configuration for this?

i suppose that the construction of questionnaire is ok as we are not encountering any errors in the submission and it is just a copy of the standard questionnaire.
how do we install the ROS_FORM_RUNTIME? is there a sap note for this?

Send Button Not Working...

A friend of mine purchase an new Intel iMac. I transferred all her data across from her old iMac but now she is unable to send mail.
The mail button is greyed out... Not only that, when she tries to type in the Subject field, she can type a few letters and then she cannot type any more.
For testing purposes I created a new user account and Mail works fine there... So the problem seems to be related to the import of her mail.
Any suggestions on what I should do or try?

This particular problem in Mail is usually caused by some Launch Services cache or preferences corruption. The following article describes how to manually reset Launch Services. The notes at the bottom of the article also provide information about the side effects of deleting each of the files involved.

It seems that the most appropriate utility for solving this particular problem is Tiger Cache Cleaner.
In addition to the utilities mentioned above, you may also consider OnyX, which is free. If you want to try OnyX, after installing it, do this (be sure to read the articles about the side effects of cache cleaning first):
1. Quit all applications.
2. Launch OnyX and enter your administrator password.
3. Click Maintenance. In the Reset section, check LaunchServices database.
4. You may uncheck any other pre-checked options if you've already done them using other utilities.
5. Click the Execute button.
If that doesn't solve the problem, you may try again checking the Links between documents and applications option in step 3 instead.
And yet another free cache cleaning utility is Cache Out X.
Please, let me know whether you were able to solve the problem, what worked for you and what didn't.

Email sending is not working with utl_smtp (migrated from 9i to 11g)

New iMAC - Time Warner POP Email Send (SMTP) Not Working

Greetings,
Have used cinci.rr.com account for years across many different types of PCs. New to mac world. My new @mac.com account works fine for sending and receiving.
When I added in my cinci.rr.com pop account, I receive fine, but no joy on the SMTP sends. I'm using password auth with a good username and password. Port 25, no SSL just like the help screens from Apple and Time Warner say. (Matches my PC settings also)
Visual symptom is SMTP account offline even when i manually enable online. Removing the 'password' but keeping the username prompts me for a password on connection, but when password is given, Mail reports that ISP doesn't support authentication.
What's the magic setting?

VERY helpful in answering my Rochester.rr.com account. So I turned off my authentication, but had to leave my wife's on because "no two settings can be the same" or whatever it said. I assume that's okay because I just tested both emails and they both sent.
Any issues with one being set to "no authentication" and one using a password? Does everything just send off of one server? Or should I change her port setting to something else and then change it to "no authentication"?
