Email sending from GMAIL regardless of account chosen (4s)

I manage multiple email accounts on my Iphone 4s.
A personal email (my own domain), my work email, and a gmail account that I use for my Google calendar
Regardless of which account i send emails from or reply to an email from - it sends it from my Gmail account. Does anyone know how to resolve thisv
Its frustrating, because I've worked hard consolidating emails and making sure everyone has the correct email address.
Now everyone emails me at my GMAIL account - regardless of personal or work
Someone please help..
The guy at the verizon store said it's a known issue....but there's got to be a fix...i'm imagining people out there managing way more email accounts than i do

    On your iPhone you need to change your password in 2 places:
    - Incoming Mail Server and
    - Outgoing Mail Server
    To get to the password entry for the Outgoing Mail Server you have to tap on cell smtp.live.com and again on the second view.

I have gmail 1 selected as default email in settings but when I open a new message from the main screen of email ( where you see all email accounts set up) it sends from gmail 2. The message has gmail 1 as the from address but when it is received it is from gmail 2. I have gone into setting and it still lists gmail 1 as default.

    Just to clarify that should have said, my brother has the same ISP as me. Autocorrect butted in there.

    What specifically happens when you try to send Mail?
    Are you able to receive mail from all of the accounts? any of the accounts?
    Are all the email accounts with the same provider?
    In Console > All messages search on Mail and see if there are any error messages

    You can probably resolve this by removing some Address Book preference files rather than deleting your Address Book application.
    First turn off Synchronize in Address Book Preferences if you can.
    Next restart Address Book and try to export everything to your Desktop.
    I have had a play and found my Address Book preference files. In the following ~/Library is the Library within your Home folder. Any numerals may differ on your Mac. Quit Address Book before doing anything with these.
    1 - Display details and things set in Address Book Preferences
    ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.AddressBook.plist
    2 - Has no data - not sure what this does
    ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.AddressBook.abd.plist
    3 - Has last sync date - may have more if I used sync
    ~/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.AddressBook.sync.000393735c06.plist
    4 - My contact details
    /Library/Preferences/AddressBookMe.plist
    5 - Individual addresses and groups stored as separate files within:
    ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/Metadata
    6 - All of these addresses are are also in this single database:
    ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook/AddressBook-v22.abcddb
    If you wish to remove all addresses drag both 5 & 6 to your Desktop.
    If you wish to reset preferences drag 1 your Desktop.
    Removing 3 may resolve sync issues but I am unable to test this.
    If you wish to reset everything drag all except 4 to your desktop.

    I have an iPhone4 running 4.3.1. I have two email accounts set up - a Yahoo (POP) account and a GMail (IMAP) account. The Yahoo account is set as default but I have just discovered that when I send a new email it is being sent from the GMail account, not from the default account. Iam fairly sure taht this has only started happening recently. Has anyone any idea what is causing this please?

    I've solved this one! I had a new phone a week ago and restored it from iTunes. After the restore it is necessary to re-enter passwords and I forgot about the password in the SMTP definition for the default (yahoo) account. The non-default (Gmail) account didn't have a password in the SMTP definition so the iPhone cleverly decided if it couldn't send from the default account, it would send from the other one!

    I have two email addresses, one person and one business. I have them both as accounts in Mail but last week erased my business account. It now no longer shows up as an option to send emails with.
    The problem is that even though I am now sending all the emails with my personal account, I specifically select that account for the From line and see that it sending from that account, when I get a reply from the person I see that it actually sent with my erased business account. If I go to sent items it also shows that I sent it from that old erased account. Just to clarify these emails were sent after I erased the account so it shouldn't be doing this!
    Any help would be very much appreciated.

    That didn't work but I did figure it out in the end by pressing a lot of things on and off and restaring mail. It still isn't perfect but it is better than before. Thanks for your help

  • Send from Gmail alias in Mail.app in iOS 7?

    I have a Gmail account with several email accounts that forward into it. I've configured Gmail on the web so that I can send email from those accounts.
    I just set up this Gmail account in Mail.app in iOS7 on my iPad.
    In Gmail on the web, if I receive an email to one of the accounts that forwards into this Gmail account, and click "reply", it will automatically send use that account as the "from" address (rather than the Gmail account).
    Is there any way to specify this as a preference in Mail.app on the iPad? Otherwise I have to remember to manually change the "from" address when I reply to an email sent to any of the accounts that forward to my Gmail account.

    I've not heard of or experience any such issue.
    Have you tried removing and readding the accounts in question?

  • Can't send from Gmail on office wifi - iOS 7

    I as well as the rest of my office have been unable to send emails from Gmail accounts on iOS 7 devices. iOS 6 devices send, but slowly. Shut off wifi and send via wireless data works just fine. Sending from home wifi works just fine. According to mail setttings, doesn't appear to be a port switch but unsure how to instruct the IT dude on anything on the wirewall that may need to be adjusted. Any thoughts?

    STMP is being blocked on the network. There's really not much we can do about that.
    You can use your 3G connection to get messages out
    Use Gmail online
    Wait until lunch/breaks to send email?
    Talk to IT and ask about sending mail/SMTP connections.

  • Specific email forwarded from my work (outlook) account never arrives in iCloud account.

    I tried to forward a specific email from my work (Outlook) account to my iCloud account,  It never appeared in my iCloud inbox or in junk.  Three tries, same result.  Note that I *am* able to send email from the work account to my iCloud address; just not this particular email (so far).  I also was able to forward this one to other email accounts (e..g, my gmail account), so I know that whatever the problem is, it's with iCloud and not some sending problem at work. 
    I read an Ars Technica article a while ago about iCloud mail having a "dirty word" filter, that caused it to simply eat some incoming emails.  But this email has no such language (it was a job posting). 
    Any ideas what to do; how to follow up; causes?

    I think my best recourse is to switch to an email service provider that conforms to the IMAP standard (which Gmail does not). Assuming I find one, I will have both accounts, Gmail and the new one, in Mail.app. How can I move the mail from Gmail to the other account?

    When all folders are empty, including the Inbox, can I be sure that every message has been moved to the new account, even though every message is still in the All Mail folder?

    --> If all you want to do is keep your history, make a local folder on your mac and drag all the mail messages there (both se4nt and incoming).  I am not sure what will happen if you later drag those into the new Xmail account

    --> Dont look in "all mail". Open your inbox and look at each individual inbox.

    I have create one Distribution List which include email address from our company and external email address.
    When i send from inside all works fine.
    But when i send from outside the email received from inside users(email addresses of my domain) but never received from outside email addresses.

    i have change this setting when create the group.But my problem isn't that users from outside can't send to distribution list. The problem is that in my distribution list i have email addresses from my company (@domain.com) and external email addresses (@gmail.com,@yahoo.com).
    When a user from inside send to the Distribution List all works fine. When a user from outside send to the Distribution List, users from my company(@domain.com) which include in the Distribution List receive the email but user with external email addresses(@gmail.com,@yahoo.com)
    didn't receive the email.
