Email sending too many emails to my phone

I upgraded to ios7 and it looks like it lost the function that only allowed 50, 100 or 200 emails to come through.  Is there a way to only filter in so many emails?  Its eating up a lot of storage.

Same problem on my iPad.  Help!  How to limit pushed emails to iPad!

    Hello!
    My environment is EP 7.0 SP14.
    I use notification option of action (notification tab) and com.sap.caf.eu.gp.callobj.mail.NotificationCO callable object.  Parameters: Event - On Assign, Send to - Current processors.
    The problem: Each processor of the action get as many emails as processors of the action.
    For example:
    Action1 - 2 Processors in role, Each user get 2 emails,
    Action2 - 3 Processors in role, Each user get 3 emails
    and so on...
    I have searched forum and SAP notes, no result...
    Does anybody know, how to solve this problem?

    I have simple workflow with 10 actions and one sequential block.
    My requirement is to notify users involved in process when action is assigned to user (or group of users).
    Notification work by the right event.No matter who completed the task. He doesn't receive notifications. When action is assigned to 10 users each of them gets 10 emails as notifications. But they must get only one email.
    The problem is in amount of emails.
    May be it's solved in SP15 or SP16?

    Use the sim tool that came with your phone or a safety pin and just insert it into the hole at the side of the sim tray and push it in and then pull it out.  It is no more difficult than that and then just close it again.

    Since the new update, my phone keeps pulling all my OLD emails from my yahoo account onto the phone and showing them as new!

    Yep, Sounds like Yahoo. I gave up on them long ago.
    Also, when you erased your phone during the update process you removed those emails. Now you have a nice spanky clean phone and Yahoo thinks you haven't seen those emails yet. Gmail had the same problem for a "brief" time but they apparently have actual programmers working there and thus promptly fixed it. Yahoo...not so much.

    i send emails to from different addresses all the time sometimes i forget to switch to the proper account before sending a particular email address. For example I've got a gmail account that I use for more professional correspondents and I have a my .mac account for more personal emails. There are a few other examples which makes the whole process of making sure I'm sending a specific email from the right account confusing and sometimes I simply forget.
    The problem is I find myself sending my business contacts emails from my personal account. How can I avoid this problem? Is there a hack to make it easier or should I just stick to one email address?

    Two observations to offer:
    1) If you work in the Inbox of only one of your email accounts, New Messages sent while doing so should default from that one account -- make sure the small black triangle is pointing downward, and this will reveal the Inbox of each account.
    2) In Main Preferences/Composing you can select to have Gmail account as the preferred account, so that you would have to actively select to use the .mac for personnal email. You can also select to mark any address not of the gmail.com domain, which will offer another level of alert, since the .mac address would then appear in Red as you Compose.

  • Workflow email send to many

    Hi,
    I am trying to create a workflow where I send to 3 different emails.
    I have used the following format for 2 emails and it works but with three emails it doesnt:
    "[email protected];[email protected];[email protected]"
    The characters represent the amount of characters there are in the emails i have used.
    When I have entered a shorter email it has worked however when I enter the longer looking ones (which dont exceed 1024 characters - which is apparently the amount of characters that are allowed in the 'To' field in a workflow) i get this error: SBL-ODS-00510.
    Can anyone help me understand why or find an alternative solution?

    Distribution lists cannot be created in CRMOD. Your company IT / email administrator has to create one for you.
    I believe Jono meant to say instead of adding 3 workflow actions or entering 3 separate email addresses with semi colons, have a common distribution list (email address) created like [email protected] and add the people under it. Who knows tomorrow they might ask you to have the email sent to another 10 people or more? Remember you can add only max of 25 actions per workflow.

    how do I fix this, I have a new email address, but still receive emails from the old email, I am received emails from the new email account but when I send an email it sends from the old email address. I've checked the setting but cannot figure this one out.

  • Sending TOO many jobs to the Xserve

    I am writing an algorithm to for a Monte Carlo simulation that will be run on Xgrid. We bought an Xserve for this reason. We are contracted with the government, so i need to document a list of possible errors or crashes that could occur.
    My main question is , what happens if you overload the xserve with too many jobs, and what is the ramifications? For example, does it crash/restart losing the jobs, and/or will it do physical harm to the Xserve. Also if anyone has any relatively normal errors they run into, can you please respond describing them to me and any known fixes.

    It will act pretty much the same way any other *nix system will when you start loading it heavily. It will slowdown and start to swap furiously once the ram/cpu resources get exhausted by the jobs -it could exhaust the available free disk space for the swap file if you had a small HD, not likely though. It could become unresponsive at the console -can't login or it won't get to the Finder once the login window disappears. It could KP with bad code that might scribble in the OS address space or the address space of other jobs. It may become unresponsive on the network -that would be a sign that it's overloaded job-wise. You probably won't do any physical harm to the hardware unless it starts to run the cpu temps way up for a long, long, time -then you'd have to have the fans die.

    My daughter recently got an ipod touch. She has signed onto itunes using my account. Now she wants her own acct on the ipod touch so she can use facetime and all that stuff, but for some reason it is affecting my iphone. She has put 2 different emails into the ipod touch and whenver she does it sends a message to my phone and i don't know what to do.  Is the easiest way to fix this by resetting ipod?

    Create a NEW account/ID for her using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before.
      Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card
    Use the new ID on her iPod but only for:
    Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
    Settings>FaceTime
    and Settings>iCloud if you want her to have separate Contacts Calendar and some other things.
    Continue to use the same/common Apple ID for Settings>iTunes and App stores so you can share purchases.

  • Email account migrated to google, too many emails coming in?

    My cable provider migrated their own email service to google. They gave instructions on what needed to be updated in the settings. When I did this on my windows live mail account, 2000 emails popped up off the server. So when I updated my phone, I got two waves of 200 messages each, but now i can't send or recieve any emails. When I try to send it says the sender was rejected.

    If you go to your carrier's BIS site there's a forgot password link. But if you don't remember the username you can call your carrier and they'll be able to tell you.
    That's the first thing I'd suggest would be to try and delete the accounts and re-add them back.
    Is it happening to all your accounts on the device?

    Replacement No. 2. at Apple Store Covent Garden, special order, 'store swap pack' took a week to arrive, also yellow C39 serial.
    Replacement No. 3. via applecare by UPS, 'swap packaging' courier was supposed to wait and collect original, didn;t wait, but just as yellow.C39 serial
    Replacement No. 4. again via Applecare - I think, by TNT, full retail pack, also yellow, Apple charged for a second phone DNP serial
    Replacement No. 5. again via Applecare - I think, by TNT again, full retail pack again, yellow again, Apple didn't have any record of this one until I told them.
    At this point Apple who had been previously utterly useless and unresponsive suddenly became very helpful, realising what a mess this all was.  Wanted me to give them one last chance, would arrange collection of all 3 yellowscreen iPhone 4Ss, refunds for both phones, and an appointment at Apple store Covent Garden to allow me to see the screen before purchase.
    In the event Apple store Covent Garden had no record of what my appointment was for. 
    It took just shy of an hour to open two iPhone 4Ss and find that both were yellow screen.  Both serials began DNP, and all their stock was either DNP or C39, this time the "Genius and Genius Manager were both very helpful, Genius could see the issue at once, Genius Manager was actually colour blind, so could appreciate the issue but not see it for himself - apologetic they could not meet expectation of 'the most amazing iPhone yet' having at least as good a screen as the 4. Welcome to the post Jobs erea I suspect.

    Well, I have, and set everything to 'off' but they just keep on arriving.  Does anyone know how to stem the flow.  I am very sorry for anyone suffering the insipid yellow screen of their 4S, but having decided to go back to my 3GS, I don't want to be updated five times a day..

  • CCMS Sending too much Email (every few min from the same alert).

    Hi everyone,
    We have recently setup CCMS in SOLMAN to monitor all of our ECC6 systems.  Using auto-reactions we have any critical alerts sent to our pagers via email (SMTP).
    Setting this up worked fine, however, we are finding ourselves in this mess:
    When we trigger an alert, it seems that the alert just keeps producing hundreds of email messages... 
    Is there a way to have each alert found produce 1 or 3 email messages - then stop?  It may take some time to correct an alert, but, we do not want to be paged every 2-5 min with tons of email (one per first time triggering it would be awesome).

    You cannot unlist yourself from the ASC. Only a host can do that and there has to be a very good reason for doing so, like a privacy concern or issue, something like that. If you do not want to participate in the community, just quit posting.
    Did you also check the box at the top of the post that you participated in and check Stop Email Notifications? It is in the Actions Box in the upper right corner of each page on the website. You have to go back to the post that you were in and select that as well.
